Jenna did what any person who has a “platform” would have done had this been their hometown. I think she did a beautiful job expressing herself, and I feel for her and all the people of that town. Maybe you did not lose a child in the massacre; maybe you were across town and did not even hear about it until hours later, but if you love there you are affected by it. I pray that God will console hearts in Newtown and I pray that He will use this tragedy to bring lost souls to Him so that they can know for sure that they will see those beautiful little faces again.

I think it was a beuatifully written tribute about her hometown and the people there. Those of you who want to somehow blame her for it while not even getting the name of the town right (twice!) should keep their mouths shut!

I don’t comprehend how in the heck is it Jenna Von Oy Job to teach morality to some high school kids?
Did you even understand what this article is even about? It’s about a well known actress that grew up in this small town and has a personal connection on the vents in it.

I am a Christian, a regular church goer, believe in prayer but when I was a teacher I felt it was not my place to teach “religion” in a place where children of many religions gathered. BUT I never forgot I was a Christian and I did teach morality in that I taught that hurting others physically or hurting their feelings was wrong, the stealing and lieing was wrong, that cheating was wrong and similar admonitions. I’m sure the teachers of Sandy Hook and other Newtown schools did much the same. At a time we need extra sensitivity, to put responsibility on Jenna Von Oy for what happened is very hard to understand.

I cannot but wonder what Jenna Von Oy has been doing in the last ten years to force the Hewton School Board to teach morality to kids like Adam Lanza? I bet she was perfectly comfortable with not teaching morality! If this is true, I resent her crocodile tears! Like the rest of Newton inhabitants who were comfortable with not teaching morality in schools, she is partly responsible for this terrible tragedy!
