Top 10 Most Viral Tracks on Spotify

These two “Top 10″ lists represent the most viral tracks on Spotify in the United States and the United Kingdom. The results are based on the number of people who shared the track, divided by the number of people who listened to it, from Monday, Dec. 17, to Sunday, Dec., 23 on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Spotify.

Spotify’s founder, 29-year-old Daniel Ek, created the enormously popular music streaming service because he wanted to beat piracy issues.

“I was born in Sweden, and in Sweden we are known for the piracy services,” Ek told ABC News’ John Muller in an ABC News / Yahoo! News Newsmakers interview.” I decided I wanted to create a product that was better than piracy.”
