I doubt those two meet up in heaven. There were bitter feuds about the sister adopting the same profession. Rumor has it they didn’t even speak, but really who knows….

This is a truly tragic loss for our society. The wise are passing on and all we will soon be left with is the hollow, shrill voices of social media and blogs, meaningless, empty noise without soul. Without people like this dear woman, our society is without direction, wandering in the wilderness of ignorance, completely lost. A sad day indeed.

I loved “Dear Abby” and “Ann Landers” columns. My mother introduced me to newspapers at a very early age. By the time I was 12, I read the newspaper religiously every day. I give both these ladies (sisters) much of the credit. RIP Dear Abby. You lived your life with intent and gave many of us the best advice of our lives.
