Report: Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth 'Are Talking'

Amid rumors that their engagement is off, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus reportedly "are talking."

UsWeekly cited a friend of the couple, whose seemingly rocky engagement has been under increasing press speculation, saying they are currently apart, but "are talking."

Another insider told the tabloid the pair has been having "the worst fights of their relationship" for the past few months.

The singer and her "Last Song" boyfriend have supposedly been arguing about everything from her punk makeover to his alleged affair with another actress.

The "Can't Be Tamed" singer retweeted a note from actress Evan Rachel Wood Thursday that said, "The fact that we live in a world which condones the stripping of basic human rights (dignity, privacy, etc.) of people because of their status is very sad to me. We need to have higher standards for ourselves as people and a society. Please remember that before you pick up a tabloid."

Hemsworth has been spending time with his family in his homeland of Australia, while Cyrus has remained in Los Angeles.

The singer and actress, 20, was spotted late Wednesday outside a Los Angeles recording studio where, People reported, she was not wearing the same 3.5-carat diamond on her ring finger that Hemsworth, 23, gave her when he proposed. The photos were first captured by x17 Online.

Earlier in the day, she tweeted that she did not call off her engagement, despite rumors to the contrary.

"I am so sick of LA. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding," she wrote. "Taking a break from social media #draining."

She also wrote that her new music will "shut everyone up."

Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their engagement last June, after dating for three years.
