Amanda Bynes, who broke out at the age of 11 on Nickelodeon's sketch comedy show "All That" before starring in the self-titled "The Amanda Show," is 27 today.

The last year for Bynes has been a tumultuous one. She racked up a DUI charge last June, two counts of hit-and-run in September, and two separate charges of driving with a suspended license. The hit and run charges were dismissed in December. A pre-trial hearing regarding the charges for driving without a license in Burbank is set for May 9. The DUI charge is still pending.

The "Easy A" star has taken to Twitter to float a not-so-subtle suggestion that she's interested in Canadian rap star Drake. Perhaps he will pick up on Bynes' hints and ask her out for a birthday dinner.

The former child star told People magazine last September that made the move from Los Angeles to New York City to kick start her fashion career. The birthday girl might also make a wish when she blows out her 27 candles that her imminent jewelry and perfume line is a big success.

And to deal with her driving dilemmas? Perhaps Bynes is hoping President Barack Obama finally gets around to answering one of her tweets.

"Hey Barack Obama … I don't drink," she tweeted in June. "Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end."
