"Pretty Little Liars" star Ryan Merriman is officially off the market.

ABC News has confirmed that the actor, who turns 30 today, is engaged to Kristen McMullen. Ever the gentleman, he dropped to one knee and popped the question in New Zealand at the top of SkyCity on New Year's Eve, just before a fireworks display began.

"I did it on the fly of the moment," he told reporters last night at the premiere of his new movie "42," about Jackie Robinson (he plays rightfielder Dixie Walker, who initially opposed Robinson's entry into the major leagues). "Thank God it worked!"

Now, he's looking forward to tying the knot, though he's leaving the details to his future wife.

"I'd marry her on a beach. I don't care. We could go to Vegas," he continued. "[But] it's her day."
