A new look for a newly-married lady!

Melissa Gilbert chopped off her long locks and debuted a new, chic summer haircut recently via her Instagram page.

"Yay!" she wrote next to a photo of herself grinning.

And, on another, "Totally loving my new haircut!!"

Gilbert, 49, has certainly made some exciting changes in her life this year, most notably in April, when she married actor Timothy Busfield, 56.

For her big day, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant (and "Little House on the Prairie" star) wore a red dress that matched her tresses.

"The color spoke volumes," she said at the time. "Passion, fire, love: Red says all of those things to me!"
