It's tragic news for Jack Osbourne, 27, and his family. His wife Lisa Osbourne, 26, posted news on her blog Raddestmom.com that the couple lost their second baby to a miscarriage last week.

The Osbournes were married last October and already have daughter Pearl Clementine, who is 17 months old. They announced last month that they were expecting again. Lisa Osbourne was in her second trimester.

"I have been dreading this announcement," Lisa Osbourne wrote on her blog. "I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through."

Jack Osbourne had just announced on Wednesday that he would be joining the new season of "Dancing With the Stars," and wanted to use the show to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis, a condition he was diagnosed with last year.

His wife thanked everyone for their support.

"We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time," she continued in her posting. "It's important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life's toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives."
