Kaley Cuoco said "from day one" she knew Ryan Sweeting was the man she would spend the rest of her life with, but it didn't seem that way the night he proposed.

"[Ryan] actually started a little fight with me and threw me off," she told " Entertainment Tonight" on Monday.

"The Big Bang Theory" star, 27, said she thought there might be a problem, then the ring came out and changed everything. Sweeting's fake argument had worked and Cuoco had no idea he was going to propose.

"He surprised me at the end of the night … [when] he popped the ring out," she said. "It was amazing."

Cuoco, who is filming her new movie "The Wedding Ringer," said her relationship with the tennis player, 26, has been magic.

"We have all the same family, friends," she added. "We grew up with the same people, we just never met. So I kind of feel that I've known him my whole life. I know that it seems a little crazy on paper, but it's what works for us."
