After a rough South American tour that included being questioned by police for his graffiti, a girl filming him while he slept on a couch and a bout of food poisoning, Justin Bieber is trying to squash another incident that happened last weekend.

While on stage in Buenos Aires on Saturday, Bieber, 19, was caught on video tossing two Argentine flags off stage, reports the Associated Press.

The videos show the "Boyfriend" singer using his foot and microphone to sweep something off stage after they were thrown at the singer in apparent appreciation.

But Bieber tweeted eight times Thursday to express his concerns and apologize for any misunderstanding that may have occurred.

"heard about what is going on with me down in Argentina and im shocked. I love Argentina and have had some of the best shows of my tour there," he tweeted first. "people throw stuff on my stage all show and i get it to the stage hands to get off so no one got hurt. that video i saw a bra and thought…it was a shirt."

He continued, "even if it was a flag I would never do anything to disrespect Argentina…or the people of Argentina or the fans. Im so sorry for anyone who took my actions the wrong way and I hope you can forgive this mistake."

The Biebs added that he loved his time there and hopes to come back and perform in Buenos Aires again.
