Royal Commuters Prince William, Kate Middleton Ride the Bus
The world's most popular royal couple became the most popular royal commuters today.
Prince William and Kate Middleton hopped on a double-decker bus from Kensington Palace to a London train station, where they greeted veterans selling poppies ahead of Remembrance Day Sunday, a holiday to honor fallen heroes of war in the U.K.

Hundreds of unsuspecting commuters at the High Street Kensington Station were surprised to see the duo, according to the Associate Press. (Talk about a wake-up call during your morning commute). The sighting drew big crowds and spurred frenzy on Twitter with passersby writing: "Saw the Duchess of Cambridge on the morning commute. In the actual flesh," the UK's Mirror reported.

The Duchess of Cambridge recycled a long, poppy red coat by LK Bennett, black pumps, and a poppy for the occasion.

Before their bus ride, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with volunteers and staff from the Royal British Legion. Two thousand members of the armed forces and volunteers hit the streets and subways today to raise 1 million pounds ($1.6 million) in a day for charities benefiting service men and women and their families.
The bus ride was just one of the many activities across location to mark Poppy Day. Prince Harry and Prince Philip laid wreaths in honor of fallen soldiers in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
