Amy Adams Not Getting Married 'Anytime Soon'

Amy Adams and her fiancé Darren Le Gallo have been together for more than 11 years and have a three-and-half-year-old daughter, and the 39-year-old actress has no plans right now to change that.

"I'm not pregnant. I'm not getting married anytime soon," she told the January issue of Vanity Fair. "I know he's [Le Gallo] completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being."

Adams' generosity extends beyond her fiancé. When it comes to her peers in the industry, she's always putting them forward.

"I get excited for people when I know I should be competitive. I'd say in an audition, 'I don't think I'm right for this, but you know who you should get?' I used to do that when I was an unemployed actress."

Of course now she is an Academy Award-nominated actress landing roles opposite Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Mark Wahlberg. As the female lead in "American Hustle," the latest film by "Silver Linings Playbook" director David O. Russell, Adams hung out with co-stars Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale before filming started.

Amy Adams Really Wanted to Be Lois Lane

"David was thinking it would be nice for me to get to hang with the boys, to get to be a real player," Adams told Vanity Fair. "He said, 'You know, I think you're ready to be on that playing field.'"

Feigning surprise, Adams said, "I already thought I was."

Adams dropped pounds to achieve the "hungry and tan" look of her character. "It's amazing what a tan can do. Because I'm not tan, so that was fun to play with."

For her bra-less wardrobe for the film, she developed a confidence and "sort of a laissez-faire attitude about what your breasts are doing."
