On Tuesday night’s edition of “The Voice,” Team Adam Levine’s James Wolpert and Team Blake Shelton’s Cole Vosbury were eliminated, leaving three artists remaining for next week’s finale.
The remaining contestants are Team Adam’s Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin and Team Christina Aguilera’s Jacquie Lee.
Cole was Blake Shelton’s lone remaining artist. His elimination means Blake will not have a chance to four-peat as the coach of The Voice winner after three consecutive years. Caroline Pennell, Cee Lo Green’s last remaining artist, was eliminated a few weeks ago.
Tuesday’s one-hour live show also featured performances by two of the show’s former winners:
Season 3 champ Cassadee Pope sang her new song, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.” Her former coach, Blake Shelton, presented her with a plaque on behalf of her record company, Universal Republic Nashville, commemorating a half million downloads of her first single, “Wasting All These Tears.” Another winner from Team Blake, Season 4′s Danielle Bradbery, sang “Never Like This.”
In addition, Team Blake Season 4 finalists The Swon Brothers performed “Later On,” from their upcoming album; and Michele Chamuel, a finalist on Usher’s Season 4 team, sang her new song, “Go Down Swinging.”
The top three artists will hit the stage Dec. 16 for “The Voice” Season 5 finale on NBC.
