Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran of The Wanted perform during the B96 Pepsi Jingle Bash at Allstate Arena, Dec. 14, 2013, in Chicago.

A knife scare can’t stop The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran and Jay McGuiness from enjoying the city of Denver!

The band was in town for a stop on their “Word of Mouth” tour on April 23, but got into the area a day earlier. While out on the town, Kaneswaran and McGuiness had a knife pulled on them. Despite the alarming occurrence, McGuiness assures everyone they are okay and their love for the city of Denver has not faded.

“To reassure you, we were NOT stabbed, but a guy in Denver did pull a knife out on us- do not worry, we were lucky & we still love Denver,” McGuiness tweeted on April 25 to comfort his fans.

The pair were supposedly out seeing the new movie “Transcendence” the night of the run-in with a knife-wielding man. Kaneswaran tweeted about the movie a day later.

“Saw #Transcendence last night! Loved it! Thanks for the free tix UA Denver Pavilions,”  he tweeted on April 23.
