Tonight's Routines

James Maslow

James' Tango: The judges' pick was to see how well our celebs could perform a dance they had to do in a switch up challenge. There was a huge improvement from James on his tango. From week to week, you look at James dancing and there are a few things here and there that he had to fix: the bum was too far behind him in ballroom dances, there was a comment on his frame, and his lines were not as finished and smooth as needed to be. But, in this Tango, I believe he took all the notes from the judges and applied them to his performance. Let's not forget too about the kiss! We have all been waiting for it and finally it is here. Hot! Well done, James.

James' Freestyle: It is really hard to critique the freestyles because it is so subjective, unless there is an obvious mistake, of course. I really enjoyed James and Peta's take on this freestyle. It was young, fresh, powerful and aggressive. It looked like a video game action hero and his crew went out to a dance-off. This was something completely different for James, He never danced a routine like that in any of the previous weeks. Very cool.

( James was voted off Monday night.)

Meryl Davis

Meryl's Tango: Was this perfection or what?! It was passionate, powerful, beautiful and seductive. They were slightly late for the final pose, but then maybe that was the artistic choice. The chemistry in this dance and the drama was undeniable. They are a couple to beat at this point in the game. Excellent work!

Meryl's Freestyle: She is gorgeous. There were no gimmicks, no extra crew and no pyrotechnics. This was a flawless, lyrical and artistic performance. This was simplicity at its best.

Candace Cameron Bure

Candace's Quickstep: That was a really well-intended dance choreographically and technically, but something just went slightly bit wrong. Whether that was because of Mark's injury, the nerves, or the pressure, who knows? Candace is in the final. She looks amazing and that's my favorite dress for the night, by the way. She was a dark horse of the competition and it was such a pleasure to watch her grow and develop every single week. Great job!

Candace's Freestyle: This was just pure fun! The disco golden girl is on the loose. Candace looks amazing and like she is having a blast. I'm so proud of her!

Amy Purdy

Amy's Salsa: That was awesome! And she had a back injury?! That was a wonderful usage of the song (my favorite song for a salsa, mind you) with all the rhythms and changes. Those were some really clean and impressive tricks as well as all the basic elements of the salsa. Amy proved to all from week to week that she belongs in the final. She has the spirit of the champion and she has our hearts. Go Amy!

Amy's Freestyle: Is there anything this girl can't do?! She is flying high and mighty. On the performance, it was beautifully connected, clean and powerful. I loved the message of this routine - dare, anything is possible.

What an exciting finale! It was completely unexpected for James to be eliminated tonight but, with "DWTS," one can never tell.

Who will win? Wow, that's a good question. Based on quality of dancing it should be Meryl. She is a gorgeous, coordinated ice dancer. Then, Amy has the most amazing story behind her. We've all watched with our breath held in and tears in our eyes, of sadness or joy. We wanted her to persevere and come out on top. And then there's Candace, who is like a fresh summer breeze. She has been consistent, positive and charming.

Who will you vote for, America?
