Nadya Suleman, the mother who became famous when she gave birth to octuplets in 2009, is back on welfare.

Suleman’s rep, Gina Rodriguez, told ABCNews.com that Suleman, the mother of 14, has once again sought out “state assistance for a brief period of time.”

“She spent most of her savings while she was in Chapman Treatment center, paying for around-the-clock nannies, drivers, security and her treatment program,” Rodriguez said in an email. “She does not expect to be on longer than three months.”

Suleman weaned herself off welfare five months ago but her bank account was quickly depleted after she entered rehab in October for what her rep said was “anxiety, exhaustion and stress.”

“She was prescribed Xanax for her anxiety attacks. She was not addicted to it. She has an overabundance of stress and exhaustion and wanted to deal with it without prescription drugs,” Rodriguez told the ABCNews.com at the time.

The 37-year-old mother had been supporting her family by stripping and filming a solo porn video.

Justin Bieber has made a fortune by sticking close to his wholesome heartthrob image, but lately that image is being threatened by two online photos that show him holding a suspicious cigarette and sharing a bubbly drink with his pal Lil Twist.

Now some Bieber fans are questioning whether the 19-year-old Dallas rapper is a bad influence on the singer.

On Saturday, Bieber, 18, seemed to be expressing contrition for the alleged pot-smoking photos that were posted Friday on TMZ, tweeting,  “i never want to let any of you down. i love u.”

Bieber’s rep declined to comment on Bieber’s latest troubles.

TMZ claimed the pictures were taken Jan. 2 at a party in a Newport Beach, Calif., hotel room. In the images, Bieber is seen laughing and chatting with other party goers while holding what looks like a blunt — a hollowed out cigar packed with pot — between his fingers.

TMZ reported that Bieber’s pal, Lil Twist, was also at the party and that he and his brother were the ones rolling the blunts.

A spokesman for Lil Twist did not respond immediately to ABCNews.com’s request for comment.

Writing on Twitter Saturday, Bieber didn’t address the situation directly but appeared to refer obliquely to his behavior.  “i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u,” he wrote.

Fans responding to the tweet reassured Bieber that he’d never let them down, with one writing, “Weed doesn’t end the world.”

But earlier, when he’d tweeted, “everyday growing and learning. trying to be better,” one follower snarked, “learning how to roll more blunts?”

This isn’t the first time fans have questioned the friendship between Lil Twist and Bieber.

On Jan. 1, the rapper posted a photo on Facebook and Twitter of himself, standing next to Bieber while pouring a bubbly drink into two glasses.

Response ranged from “I hate you! You give bad influence to @justinbieber ! Just stay away from him,” from one fan, to “Justin is all grown up he knows what’s right and what’s wrong, it’s annoying u guys hating everyone that touches Justin!” from a self-described “belieber.”

Twist is also at the center of the recent incident in which paparazzo Chris Guerra, 29, was killed New Year’s Day while trying to photograph Bieber’s white Ferrari. The rapper was behind the wheel at the time.

Lil Twist and Bieber have been friends for a couple years. In 2010, Bieber told MTV News, “Lil Twist is my homey and we’re working on stuff for fun.”

But Twist, who is signed to hip hop superstar Lil Wayne’s label Young Money, has yet to release a full studio album.

Instead, he seems to be enjoying the life of a rap star, plastering his Twitter page with the words “Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n Roll” and profile photo that shows him exhaling a cloud of smoke and posting pictures of him and Bieber posing next to a private jet and vacationing in a tropical locale.

It seems that Jimmy Kimmel has much more respect for David Letterman than his other late-night rival, Jay Leno.

The ABC host is the cover boy of the new issue of Rolling Stone. The New York Daily News, which obtained an advance copy of the issue, reported that Kimmel said of Leno, “As a comedian, you can’t not have disdain for what he’s done: He totally sold out.”

Kimmel, who moves his show from midnight to the 11:35 p.m. ET slot next week, said the NBC “Tonight Show” host “was a master chef who opened a Burger King.”

Kimmel has voiced his negative feelings for Leno a few times in recent years. In 2010, he impersonated Leno on his program, and he also made an appearance on Leno’s now-defunct primetime talk show, chastising him for planning a return to “The Tonight Show” after Conan O’Brien was forced out. And last year, at a New York City event, Kimmel said of Leno, “F*** him.”

In his Rolling Stone interview, Kimmel is more complimentary of Letterman, his childhood idol.

“If I beat David Letterman in the ratings, does that mean I’m better than Letterman? No f***ing way,” he said.

Kimmel also had nice things to say about Leno’s NBC late-night colleague, Jimmy Fallon.

“People are going to compare me and him for years to come — we’re being positioned as the Leno and Letterman of the next round,” he said. “I like it because he’s a very worthy competitor.”

The issue of Rolling Stone featuring Kimmel hits newsstands Friday.

In the cover story of the February issue of  Cosmopolitan magazine, actress, dancer and singer Julianne Hough says she was abused as a child in London while studying at a prestigious dance academy.

Hough, originally from Utah where her family was Mormon, said she was 10 when adults began taking advantage of her.

“I was abused, mentally, physically, everything,” she told Cosmo. “I was 10 years old looking like I was 28, being a very sensual dancer.”

Hough, 24, doesn’t go into specifics about how she was abused or by whom, but says the abuse got worse as she got older.

“When I started hitting puberty, when I started becoming a woman and stopped being a little girl,” she said.

The two-time winner of  “Dancing With the Stars” has decided to talk  about her abuse now because of a character she plays in the upcoming movie, “Safe Haven.”

Hough plays Katie, a young woman living in a small North Carolina town who falls in love with a man named Alex, played by Josh Duhamel. Hough’s character is reluctant to start the new romance because of a  previous abusive relationship.

While on set filming a difficult scene, Hough says, “I went from bawling to containing to laughing to crying again. Josh was crying. I think it was the most therapeutic moment of my life.”

The actress, who dates entertainer Ryan Seacrest, says she was told by her abusers that if she spread the word back in the United States, she would “amount to nothing.”

Now a successful country-music singer with more films in the works, Hough is riding high as a Hollywood triple-threat.

Anne Hathaway strikes a glamorous pose on the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s UK edition, but she certainly doesn’t consider herself sexy.

The 30-year-old actress says she’s no Rihanna. “I’m not Rihanna,” she said in the February issue. “I’m not cool. When people come to me in the street, they often want a hug not a photo, and they want that because they like my work.”

“For a long time it was me and [my manager] against the world,” the “Les Miserables” star said. “I was seen as this bizarre-world, good-girl cartoon that I in no way identified with – very vanilla, very sweet, very accessible and not interesting. I had no grit, no sex appeal.”

This isn’t the first time Hathaway has waxed over her looks.

In the January issue of Glamour magazine, the actress revealed that her obsession with being thin is a source of “shame” and said she constantly worries about her body.

“I still feel the stress over, ‘Am I thin enough? Am I too thin? Is my body the right shape?’” she says. “There’s an obsessive quality to it that I thought I would’ve grown out of by now. It’s an ongoing source of shame for me.”

Jessica Simpson’s latest Weight Watchers commercial teams her up with another famous singer who shed a miraculous amount of pounds on the program: Jennifer Hudson.

Simpson and Hudson tout the benefits of Weight Watchers in the latest “Expect Amazing” ad, posted on YouTube today and debuting on TV Thursday. “I naturally became a healthier me,” says Hudson, who went from a size 16 to a size 6 in 2010, when she was Weight Watchers’ celebrity spokesperson. Simpson, who took on that role in May and lost more than 50 pounds, says “I amazed myself.”

With another baby on the way, Simpson is no longer following the Weight Watchers program. On Christmas Day, the singer turned fashion designer revealed that she’s expecting her second child. She’s since showed off her burgeoning baby bump on Twitter.

Several A-list celebrities announced at the end of the year that they were expecting in 2013.

On New Year’s Eve, Kim Kardashian, 32, confirmed the news that she is pregnant with boyfriend Kanye West’s child.

It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo,” the reality star tweeted Monday.

West, 35, first broke the news Sunday night during a concert in Atlantic City. The rapper told more than 5,000 concertgoers to congratulate his “baby mom” and that this was the “most amazing thing.”

Kardashian has long expressed her desire to have children. Around the time of her 30th birthday in October 2010, she told People that she thought she would have had four kids by then.

Instead, Kardashian married NBA star Kris Humphries the following year, and they split in October 2011 after 72 days of marriage. Their divorce is not yet finalized.

West and Kardashian began dating in April.

Also at year’s end, Jessica Simpson made headlines with the news on Christmas Day that she was expecting her second child with fiancé Eric Johnson.

On Dec. 30, Simpson tweeted a photo of her blooming midsection while clad in a bikini, along with the words “Bumpin’ and Proud!”

Simpson’s baby news dominated much of 2012. First there was her dramatic weight gain during pregnancy, then daughter Maxwell Drew’s birth in May, followed by the singer’s struggle to take off the baby weight while serving as a Weight Watchers celebrity spokesperson.

Simpson will go off her Weight Watchers diet now that she’s expecting again but will maintain her business agreement with the weight loss company as well as appear in the company’s ads, including one in which she shares her “happy news.”

Perhaps the biggest baby news of last year — and most eagerly awaited — came from Britain’s royal family.

In early December, St. James Palace announced that Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William were expecting their first child, who will eventually be the heir to the British throne.

The royal couple was forced to go public with the news of the pregnancy in Kate’s first trimester, after the duchess was admitted to a central London with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute morning sickness which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients.

Now that the guessing game over when Kate and William would produce an heir is done, a new watch begins for them and the other expecting couples over those very first baby photos.

Now you too can live the life of Mary Richards.

The house that served as the exterior of Richards’ home on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” is for sale in Minneapolis for $2.895 million.

The 9,500 sq. ft. house is set on 0.35 acres, with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The listing on Realtor.com advertises “vintage charm combined with modern applications” and “ornate millwork, bayed rooms and leaded glass transom accents throughout.” It also includes a three-car garage.

The home was built in 1900 and was last sold in Aug. 2007 for $2.8 million, according to the listing.

Charlie Sheen is apologizing for a homophobic slur he made Friday at the opening of his new rooftop bar in Mexico.

“I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone,” he told TMZ Sunday. “I meant to say maggot but I have a lisp.”

Sheen’s rep was unable to confirm the details of what Sheen reportedly said, but referred to his statement to TMZ when asked for a comment.

TMZ posted a video purportedly of Sheen on stage introducing the opening acts at his Epic Bar on the rooftop of the four-story El Ganzo hotel near Cabo San Lucas.

“How we doing? … Lying bunch of ******* how we doing?” he says on the video.

Sheen promoted the bar’s opening and special guest performer Slash, former lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses, on his Twitter page, Friday.

Later he touted Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s appearance at the grand opening.

“From Boyle Heights 2 Mayor of LA..! …. Antonio Villaraigosa knows how to party!” Sheen tweeted Saturday, along with a photo of himself, grinning, with his arm slung around the mayor, also flashing a toothy grin.

The photo was later deleted from Sheen’s Twitter feed.

Villaraigosa’s press secretary declined to comment on the photo, telling ABCNews.com only that the mayor is in Mexico until Jan. 2.

The big-screen adaptation of “Les Miserables” is being lauded by crowds and critics alike, but singer Adam Lambert says the film “suffered massively” from “great actors PRETENDING to be singers.”

The “American Idol” runner up sent out a flurry of tweets over the weekend after seeing the film. Lambert called the film “visually impressive” with “great emotional performances,” but criticized the singing.

“The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?” Lambert wrote. “I felt like I should ignore the vocals and focus on the emotional subtext–but the singing was so distracting at times it pulled me out.”

While he lauded director Tom Hooper for having the actors perform live rather than lip synch to a recorded track, he said Hooper should have “sweetened the vocals” in the studio.

Lambert did praise the performances by Anne Hathaway as the prostitute Fantine and stage actor Aaron Tveit, who played revolutionary Enjolras. “Helena B Carter and Sasha B Cohen (sic) were great too,” Lambert wrote.

After apologizing for being so harsh, because he said, “I grew up w this musical and so my expectations are quite high,” Lambert offered a final word about the film. “DO go see it for Anne Hathaways performance. It’s was breathtaking,” he said.
