1990 Noriega Surrenders to United States

Drug enforcement agents arrested Manuel Noriega, the former dictator of Panama.  Noriega finally surrendered to U.S. troops after hiding out at Panama City's Vatican embassy for days.  He was charged with drug trafficking and money laundering.

1993 START Treaty Signed

In Russia, George H.W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin signed the second Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

2000 No Y2K Problems

The United States spent close to $100 billion on Y2K computer glitch preparations.  Three days into the new millennium, no major problems were reported.

2007 Remembering President Ford

Funeral ceremony for President Gerald Ford, who died on Dec. 26, 2006.  Ford was buried in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich.
