SOCCER SCOREBOARD CATCHES ON FIRE:
As fans in Ohio waited to watch the Columbus Crew, an Ohio's Major League Soccer club take on D.C. United, they looked up and realized the scoreboard in the Columbus Crews' stadium had caught on fire. The game was delayed for nearly an hour and fans were evacuated from the stadium until firefighters could put the flames out. The Columbus Crew went on to win the game.
KILLER WHALES ACTING LIKE A PLAYFUL DOLPHINS:
As a couple was boating off of the coast of Mexico, they encountered a pod of Orca whales trying to have some fun. The whales, playing as if they were dolphins, began jumping in and out of the boats wake. According to the couple, the whales were about eight inches away from the boat. They said the whales seemed like they were looking right at them, as surfed in and out of the waves.
FRUSTRATED CHINESE HURDLER:
A hurdler competing in the Chinese University Games, which showcases the best of Chinese youth, did not seem to preform his best, after he barreled through all of the hurdles in the race. Having problems getting over the first two hurdles, the athlete decided to ram through the rest of them, pushing towards the front of the pack. While doing so, he manged to fall into another competitor, disrupting the rest of race. In the end the athlete fell, got back up, and finished in 5th place.
