Nadal Defeated

Rafael Nadal suffered a stunning defeat during the opening round at Wimbledon on Monday. The 12-time grand slam winner ended up losing in straight sets to Steve Darcis of Belgium. If that name doesn't ring a bell it's because Darcis is ranked 135 th in the world. Nadal is fifth. While Nadal played with an injured knee, he said not to blame the injury and that Darcis played a fantastic match. Images of Nadal afterwards caught a portrait of agony in defeat as the realization set in.

Gary David Goldberg Passes

Gary David Goldberg - who created the 1980's sitcom "Family Ties" - has died of brain cancer at the age of 68. Who can forget Alex P. Keaton - the role that made Michael J. Fox a star. Golberg was a self-described hippie, citing his own life experiences as inspiration for the flower power parents on the show. Goldberg said his goal was to depict a family that was ruled by love.
