Powerball Jackpot Rises to $400 Million Powerball fever is taking hold again. In the drawing this weekend, no ticket matched all the numbers, sending the jackpot sky high. In May, a Florida woman won $590 million and in August, a $448 million jackpot was shared among three lucky winners. The next drawing is Wednesday, leaving you plenty of time to snag a ticket.

Seattle Seahawks Break Guinness World Record for Cheering Some football fans are starting this week a little hoarse after going for the Guinness World Record during Sunday night's Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers game. Thousands of Seahawks fans' cheering clocked in at 136.6 decibels, giving the game the nickname "Deci-Bowl." That's only slightly quieter than a 747 and slightly louder than a thunderclap or a jackhammer. Doctors warn it's enough to cause immediate and permanent hearing damage. Good thing so many fans came prepared with earplugs.
