Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Chicago Highway
After his plane began shaking violently over downtown Chicago, a pilot was forced to land on the side of a highway. He spotted Lake Shore Drive, a scenic but busy highway along Lake Michigan. He waited for a moment when traffic was stopped, waiting at red lights. “The way stoplights are sequenced, they all turn red, they all turn green,” he said. “So I was in between those sequences and I had the whole road. It was like having a runway to myself.” The landing was a charm and no one was hurt. “Pray before you fly,” the pilot said he learned from the landing.

Takeout Cup More Expensive Than the Coffee Beans, Study Finds
A new study in the U.K. found that when you order that high-priced, takeout coffee, what you’re really paying for is the cup. In a medium cappuccino, the coffee, flown all the way from South America, costs just about 13 cents, but the cup you put it in costs twice as much.

Mick Jagger to Be a Great-Grandpa
From “bad boy” to “sir,” Mick Jagger will soon have a new title: great-grandpa. His 21-year-old granddaughter Assisi is expecting a baby with her long-time boyfriend. If you’ve been keeping track, Jagger has seven children by four women, and four grandchildren. The 70-year-old Rolling Stones front man is reportedly thrilled about the news.
