Christine Fox Named Acting Deputy Chief of Defense Christine Fox has been appointed the new acting deputy chief of defense, making her the highest ranking woman ever to serve in the department. In the 1980s, Fox was a civilian flight instructor and the inspiration for Charlie in the movie "Top Gun."

Sunny the Dog Knocks Down Little Girl at the White House First lady Michelle Obama hosted military families at a holiday party today but at one point, her rambunctious dog Sunny knocked a little girl to the floor. Ashtyn Gardner was OK and the first lady helped her up and gave her a big hug.

Canadian Woman Wins $55M Jackpot With Forgotten Ticket Kathryn Jones bought a ticket a year ago and forgot about it. When the ticket turned out to be the $50 million winner, Canadian lottery officials went looking for Jones. They tracked the sale of the ticket to a store where the security camera had caught her picture. "I feel almost as though we've been struck by lightning twice," she said. Jones still can't find that ticket but her credit card receipt is proof enough.

Israeli Actress Cast as Wonder Woman Wonder Woman is getting ready for her big screen debut. Israeli actress Gail Gadot will play the fierce female superhero in an upcoming sequel to "The Man of Steel." She appeared in the last three "Fast and Furious" films. Gadot will star alongside Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.
