10 Most Gridlocked Cities The results are in of the Top 10 most gridlocked cities in America. No. 10 is Washington, D.C., followed by Boston; Seattle; San Jose, Calif.; Bridgeport, Conn.; New York City; Austin, Texas; San Francisco and Honolulu. The No. 1 worst commute in America belonged to Los Angeles where commuters spend a whopping 64 hours a year stuck in traffic. With three California cities in the Top 10, drivers on the West Coast have earned the right to complain.

First, a Kentucky fan got his groove on sliding down a banister. Then another fan decided to strut his stuff, even persuading a friend to join in.

Iditarod Race Hit With Un s easona l ly Warm Weather The extreme athletes competing in the Iditarod, a grueling 1,000-mile race across the frozen Alaskan tundra, were thrown quite the curveball. Warm weather - a balmy 30 degrees - and a lot of sunshine melted the snow and made the trails dangerous. Mushers called it a "minefield," the roughest trail they'd ever seen with sleds hitting rocks and tree stumps.
