Ripple the Rescue Dog

Ripple, a rescue dog that stole the show - and viewers' hearts - during the weather segment at a news station in Canada, still needs a new family.

The Edmonton Humane Society in Alberta told ABC News today that while it had received a couple of inquiries about the 1-year-old mastiff mix this weekend, nothing had worked out.

Ripple was brought to the shelter Oct. 10 because his owner had health issues.

The humane society said Ripple was "one of the strongest dogs" it had ever seen and that he was a really good dog always wanting to play. Ripple also gets along with other dogs.

The shelter also has six other dogs in need of homes.
