FBI: Cyber Blackmail by Animal Rights Hackers
The FBI is warning of a wave of cyber attacks by animal rights extremists.
An FBI Intelligence Bulletin, obtained by ABC News, cites four cases in which animal rights groups crashed the computer systems of US companies, including two US investment firms which were forced to sell their holdings in scientific testing companies.
According to the FBI, the attack on a Delaware investment firm ended only after the investment firm "agreed to sell all of its stock in Huntingdon Life Sciences," an animal testing company headquartered in Cambridge, England.
The FBI says a second cyber attack in mid-October against a Wisconsin firm resulted when "the company agreed to a demand that it sell off its shares of Huntingdon Life Sciences." The business lost $1.4 million from the sell-off, according to the FBI.

These people will not stop until HLS is out of business. I have been following this since the birth of the HLS vs Animal Rights. These people are dangerous and will stop at no means until HLS sinks.

I am tired of the animals rights extremists! They are no better than the terrorists our country fights against. If you are trying to say that animals are more important to save than people, then you seriously need your head examined. There are people out there who kill people in order to save animals! What sense does that make?
So all of the drugs that people take when they are sick, how do you think we came about them? The Tooth fairy? People really need to come to terms with reality about these so called “tortured” animals. To say that some drug companies don’t corss the line is naive but to say that all they do is tortue animals is ignorant.
Do you know why HLS is constantly on the hot seat? So other companies that people buy from every day (including these extremists) can keep their hands clean, stating “We don’t test on animals”. Everyone has to test on animals! That is reality, learn to cope! You people treat animals better than people.

If these people truly care about animals, then they need to learn to work within the system: to pursue careers in product-testing fields where they can help develop and promote alternative testing strategies. Animal activists need to learn from the Luddites, who sought to derail the industrial revolution in the early 1800′s by sabotaging mechanized factories. The Luddites’ misguided efforts failed utterly, and probably helped spawn the system of private and corporate “security” forces that were used in bloody fashion to suppress organized labor well into the 1900′s.
The legitimate wrongs brought on by industrialization were not corrected by the acts of Luddite saboteurs, but rather by the combination of dedicated labor organizers working within industry andwriters stirring the public conscience by exposing abuses in print. In very like manner, animal rights activists will do much better working to expose the acts they believe are wrong to the light of public opinion, while at the same time working to discover and propose workable alternatives that will meet the needs of product testing and consumer safety in a developing world.
