It’s Good To Be King
The Saudi royal family continues to set the standard for luxurious excess.
Hotel staffers in Hong Kong describe the visit earlier this year by Saudi King Abdullah as one of the most expensive one-night stays ever.
The King and his entourage booked 179 rooms at the Four Seasons Hotel, including the $5,200 a night presidential suite.
The King also booked 100 Mercedes limousines, manned 24 hours a day in eight hour shifts.
With the summer coming and temperatures rising in Saudi Arabia, other royals will soon be departing for their yearly vacations along the Riviera, where the harbor at Cannes is usually jammed with massive Saudi yachts.

THE VERY SAD PART IS THAT WE ARE PAYING FOR ALL THIS LUXURY AND EXCESS AT THE GAS PUMP. WHEN WILL WE DO THE RIGHT THING IN THIS COUNTRY?

This is of no surprise to me. Only question I have is, “when will the Bushies be by to visit?”

The Saudi’s had oil which America bought long before GWB. The Congress is responsible for laws and funding expenditures, not any President. When will all Americans recognize where the power to run this country is based.
The President requests funding, tax relief, budget approval, etc., from the House & Senate, aka the Congress. Catch on and vote accordingly!

They might be royalty and have money today, in which they can’t take either when they pass away.
A questioned I like to ask, how much Love is in their life because in the end that’s all that matters.
God Bless.

Well said, they had oil long before the current U.S. administration arrived, Bush or otherwise. I admit the high gas prices are partly my fault. Along with other Americans I need to walk more and drive less. I wonder if that will ever happen. People need to look in the mirror, first.

If our transportation system improves in this country, then there may not be the need to use our cars as often.

The Saudi’s had oil and sold it to the US long before the Bush administration. But did the Saudi’s call Bill Clinton “Bandar Clinton”?
Like they called GB Sr?
Like they invested in ARBUSTO?
Like UAE invests in Bush’s brother’s company?
You have an administration filled with Oil people. Heck Rice had a TANKER named after her.
Lotta good that is doing for your $3/gallon prices, and $400 million retirement for the CEO of Exxon.
How is YOUR retirement package looking oh republican sheep?
Are the Saudi’s personally investing in your portfolios?

Anyone who blames GWB for the oil problems have a short memory. It’s been going on for 30 years. Get real! Your motivation is purely Political. You lost in 2000 and 2004. GET OVER IT!

Ethanol! Ethanol! Ethanol! We should learn from the Brazilians. If the govermnent really want to, we could have every vehicle in the USA running on pure ethanol within a couple of years. And ethanol is renewable. It can be made from garbage as well as from grain. And using garbage reduces the landfill issue.
Ethanol would hurt Saudi profits!

Too bad for the Saudis! Lets invade Venezuela. Heck, the Venezuelans have 25 cent high octane. At that price for a gallon of high octane, I could drive the biggest gas guzzling Hummer cross country on what it costs me to fill the tank of my Ford Contour now!
Or, we could use our almost endless coal reserves and make gasoline out of coal. The Germans did it in WW2. The technology exists, and in the long run, it will be less expensive than buying Saudi oil or invading Venezuela.
