Arrests in ICE Dulles Raid
This morning at Dulles International Airport, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 55 illegal immigrants who were doing contract work on a secure construction site within the grounds of the airport. Some had airport security badges, sources tell ABC News.
This is the latest example of illegal aliens caught working at supposedly highly secure locations. Recently, illegal immigrants were caught working at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Maryland. While no one is suggesting any of these illegal aliens are terrorists, these arrests raise some troubling questions about the vetting process used by contractors and government officials at the nation’s critical infrastructure sites.

Troubling, yes. But I’d argue that what we as a country really need to be concerned about is not the relative handful of illegal aliens working on sites such as this, but the millions who are scattered in neighborhoods all around us.
Together they threaten our nation as we know it more than any terrorist faction in the world.

I shudder to think we consider the lives of millions of people with such levity. A people who acts or reacts on the basis of fear will be prone to profound errors. If our security was not compromised before now by this aliens, doubt if it will be shortly. May the voice of reason prevail even as the country and its selfish extrimists continue to demonise people who fled their home countries to find safety and hope in this great nation of ours.
