<description>I know that girl. She is a kook and a half. Really wack. Although I want to say this doesn&#039;t surprise me, I am still shocked she would do this.

<description>It was right to bring this plane down. Catherine Mayo shouldn&#039;t be dismissed so lightly as just hysterical. There&#039;s more involved than reported in the news. She is a journalist based in Pakistan writing for the Muslim Paskistani Daily Times. Flying home from Pakistan, she stopped in London. That causes me to wonder why was she flying from London to DC if she was enroute to her residence in Vermont?
Mayo&#039;s son, Josh, 31, described his mother as a peace activist and said she had been in Pakistan since March. She has traveled there often since making a pen pal before Sept. 11, 2001. The pen pal hasn&#039;t been allowed to visit the United States. I further wonder who is her pen pal and why he isn&#039;t allowed to visit the U.S.
I couldn&#039;t find out where she was born but she taught in the UK East Midlands Area at the Hillcrest Community School, Gainsborough where she received the Guardian Award for Outstanding New Teacher in 2002. Fifty-nine year old Mayo is largely unknown to her neighbors where she rents a former schoolhouse in Braintree, VT; but is &quot;more familiar&quot; in Northfield where she previously lived with her ex-husband and three children.

<description>To all the critics...know the facts before you make your comments, not all that you are reading is true.
I was on the plane and it was terrifying.....she was not a normal paranoid pre-menopausal woman.
The airline crew had one thing in mind....safety for all and I am most grateful that they took all the precautions necessary to secure the safety of all on board. I am extremely happy that my family and I are back home safely.....whether she does just have some mental problem or not. It is definitley better to be safe than sorry.

<description>I have read about 50 or so reports. They all directly conflict. I do not know which is worse, the government or the media.
If we give any plausibility to a woman with claustrophobia being a terrorist diversion AS later media print suggests, then clearly our media aint that bright. If she was a diversion and we sent the fighters to escort the plane on which she was diversing, then we would have missed the plane we should have been looking at.
Those who would sacrifice their liberty for a little bit of security, deserve neither.
Those who would sacrifice MY liberty for a little bit of THEIR OWN security...

<description>By the way though, it makes you really wonder if the LHR security system and rules are really cut out to be all that efficient.

<description>This is indeed a new level of wack!! All this matter of terrorism does seem to be getting the better part of the travelling industry. I mean, I recalled the day we were allowed to carry lotions, a deodorant, and even (for a little class) bottled water. Now, it seem as if these items are weapons. These terrorists are making things bad, and unless we all do put our efforts to seek and captivate those who are responsible and for terrorism, you will find that many operations in the USA and around the world maybe reach to a point that it ceases.
Now, I am sure a lot of people can agree with me if I saw this. Based on the recent threat to disintegrate planes in flight, between the UK and the US - security should not only be increased between this bridge, but also other ports. Now that the terrorists might see that the UK-US bridge is so tight in security, there are possible avenues to create such craziness. For example, from Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Sydney, Beijing, et al.
What the US should also realise is that these people can use other international carriers to do what they planned to do. US should now then thinking about other countries, and to even assist in increasing secuirty at these ports.
In the mean time, I think everything should be vigilant, watch for really strange movements, and comply with all rules. And just relax and have an enjoyable flight. Don&#039;t let 9/11 be the cause of the &quot;I am not flying in the skies again&quot; notion. It&#039;s the same blue friendly skies -and I must admit, It has become a little safer. I am pretty confident it will.
I hope the lady was just an agitated and drunk passenger - and not a threat. The fact that she wanted to pee in the sink can surely raise eyebrows on board.

<description>For whoever said that the terrorists didn&#039;t have much against and he should be re-elected. Let&#039;s see:
February 26, 1993
First World Trade Center Bombing. Whose watch? Clinton
August 10, 1998
Bombings at the U.S. Embassies in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya. Whose watch? Clinton
October 12, 2000
Attack on USS Cole in Aden Harbor for a routine fuel stop. Whose watch? Clinton
And lets not forget April 19, 1995
Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing. Whose watch? Clinton
Home grown terrorists even.
Let&#039;s also not forget that the 9/11 hijackers came to this country on Clinton&#039;s watch on student visas to plan their future attacks against our country.
Sure bring him back! He protected us so well.

<description>Oh please lady please. That petrolium jelly sticks to kids like napalm. And the headlines from the Bush administration? We have detained another terrorist and her petrolium jelly explosives. She was planning to mix the pertrolium jelly with the water she had on board. Finally, she was going to go into the lavatory and mix it with the blue water creating a chemical reaction that would cause the lavatory to explode and bring the aircraft to a sudden hault. The pilots were forced to pull the aircraft over to the side of the air so that the passengers could be safely evacuated but there we not enough parchutes, a catastrophe of TITANIC proportions.
Perhaps America needs to realize that it&#039;s time to move on.
