NBC Exec Arrested; Stole to Fly Private
Victor Jung, former treasurer of media giant NBC Universal, was arrested today and charged with stealing more than $800,000 from the company. A grand jury found that 34-year-old Jung set-up a shell company called NBCU Media Productions, LLC allegedly to steal money from NBC’s accounts. See Photos of Flying into Trouble on Corporate Jets.
He allegedly used the money for catered, private jet flights to some of the hemisphere’s poshest vacation spots — Antigua, the Turks and Caicos and Miami. The indictment says that Jung and his guests flew in style on the Marquis Jet charters, munching on shrimp cocktails while downing Veuve Clicquot champagne, Grey Goose vodka and fine wines. The total cost of his high-flying ways: more than $387,000. The radical, leftwing, terrorist loving NBC does not hire Republicans so that has to mean he was a democrat just like bill clinton. A lying, stealing, coke snorting rapist.

Frodaddy, he’s a thief, just like any other thief; the story did not mention his political affiliation. There’s plenty of people both in and out of the political system that steal on varying levels of value – from the crack addict in the hood robbing somebody for $50 to high-paid execs like Victor Jung stealing 800 large from their own companies.
BTW, what are you doing to change the face of the American political landscape?

JAZZ…I hope you are not admitting that since somebody is stealing that we accept ALL ONBOARD????? And to your query…I plan to give a voice to the poor and oppressed worldwide but really here in the USA since I reside here. I also always vote democratic as it was always the better way to go. I voted for a republican once…for cess pool supervisor…since the job description fits. Kinda like Willys post signing up for said job…By the way the poor have no voice in case you wonder why I am taking up the cause.

Frodaddy, no I’m not condoning any behavior here..you may have misunderstood my point, which was that his political perspective might not have any bearing on his actions. I despise stealing, period, even though in my own life, I’ve been poor, homeless, desparate (with a child), and thought that stealing or robbing was the only way out. I stood strong and went the other way, and was somehow granted salvation from my circumstances. This guy’s actions just reflect his poor moral standing. Rich democrats steal, as well as rich republicans.
btw, I respect your lofty ambitions with regard to change; didn’t doubt you had any, was just wondering. Even without my past hardships, I would still be a lifelong ally in the fight against oppression and poverty, and would still be an advocate for those without a voice…Peace

Willy, NBC is owned by GE, one of the largest military contractors to the U.S. They make the bombs and can be damn sure to give defference to the government when they want to use them with their media arms. They fired Donahue even though he was getting great ratings just because he was skeptical (and rightly so) of the administrations case for war in Iraq. NBC will always defer to power even if it costs us the republic.

Another fine example of the pathetic American “new money” behavior. No wonder the world laughs sooooo hard.

Nuya, although it IS pathetic behavior, the entire world is corrupt; you think stealing from the boss is a new thing?

I just love how this embezzling fool flew around the world in private jets with all his friends. What an idiot! How on earth did he think he would get away with it? He must have WANTED to go to prison for 20 years.
He’s not only a thief, and deserves everything they throw at him for stealing…but hopefully they’ll add another few years and remove his balls for being such a brazen dumbass. I mean, come on, let’s get this guy out of the global gene pool!

JAZZ…there you go with that “WHOLE WORLD” is corrupt thinking that comes from some sad times in your life I am sure. Just because the honest decent worldwide citizen that exists out there has to live through times of the worst filthiest greed and war that ever existed does not mean that their hopes are dashed, my friend. Watch out for who you are hiding behind or being the fencesitter that “might take a bullet from the peacekeeping force”…

Another missed point on your part, Fro – read the original post, and my response…there are corporate thieves in Hong Kong, in London, in Nigeria, in Capetown, in Dubai, in Marsailles, in Lisbon, in Moscow, in Mexico City, in Rio, in every little inch of this planet. And no, “that “WHOLE WORLD” is corrupt thinking that comes from some sad times in your life I am sure” is an incorrect assumption on your part – you might THINK you’re sure…it comes from my travels around the world, as well as my common sense…it is a part of certain human behavior, not soley a new “American behaviour”…simply asnwer my question written in my last post. I just don’t think that those who “laugh” at America laugh at America only because some Americans are greedy…they also laugh at America because so many Americans are stupid.

I was present at the hearing yesterday… and it was a circus. Jung expressed remorse… far better than his co-conspirator… Walsh who was a babbling baffoon… blaming everything on his boss… when in fact they were partners in crime. Jung took it like a man… and the NBC lawyer was an idiot reading a statement from the clueless CFO who tried to interpret federal sentencing guidelines and asked for no credit for cooperation… what an idiot… the “winner” maybe Jung… the NBC lawyers looked surprise… when the Judge said that he also cooperated with a Campaign Finance case, and 2 other unrelated cases….
