Moore Won’t Scuffle with Thompson
ABC News’ A’Melody Lee Reports: Michael Moore, the bomb-throwing documentary filmmaker, took the high road Wednesday and refused to be drawn into a personal attack against potential Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson.
"Fred Thompson is one of my favorite TV actors and I can’t wait to see the next video," said Moore in reference to a biting video Thompson made which castigates Moore for his positive portrayal of the Cuban health-care system.
"I’ve been looking at my schedule, Michael, and I don’t think I have time for you," says a cigar-chomping Thompson in the video which was made in response to an invitation from Moore to debate the relative merits of the Cuban and American health-care systems.
Moore made his comments on Capitol Hill where he joined Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., and Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, to tout the merits of a not-for-profit national health-care system.
Moore is in the nation’s capital for the Washington, D.C., premiere of Sicko, his new film about the U.S. health-care system.

I think Moore has bigger things to worry about, like kicking our health care system into shape. For what its worth, I hope Thompson sees the film. I read a great review from last night’s premiere.

Thompson may be too dim witted to see the sarcasm in Moore referring to him as his “favorite actor”. I like that. Democrats should have kept Reagan in line as just another “B” actor, because he certainly was.
