Bin Laden had a kidney problem back in 2002 when he made his very last truly authentic video tape. I doubt very much if he could have checked himself into a local hospital without being noticed, then immediately captured by US Forces. If Bin Laden really were alive today, he would be in about the worse possible shape a person could be in. My guess is that he either died of kidney failure or died in a bombing raid at Tora Bora. On the other hand if he is alive and well, and soon to be captured by US Forces, I welcome the surprise.

This reminds me of the time a few years ago when they came out with a story that a American soldier was kidnapped and they threatened to behead him. As a Physician who has run dialysis units for years, I would ask all of you to look very carefully at the photos. The background and his gown are similar but Bin Laden has a very bronzish, yellow appearance….pretty characteristic of renal failure. He looks SICK. His expression is stultified.

Why is it that the authorities will not allow the public to verify this information for themselves? Why is it that nobody but Intel Center and SITE Institute can ever find these videos on the Internet? Maybe if Bush had been trying to catch Bin Laden instead of flying his relatives out of the country when the World Trade Center was bombed, we wouldn’t have to even speculate as to whether he’s dead or alive. Simply comparing these released images of OBL with known pictures of the man leaves one no doubt that they are not the same person.

The bin Laden video is an obvious fake, reported by CNET NEWS BLOG. The “video” contains long random sections with no movement: a still photo, where bin Laden allegedly mentions “current events.” The audio is chopped to pieces and from multiple sources. They have created this from old footage and recordings, and it is not genuine, not new, and not credible.
