Oh, that’s right. HE WASN’T.
I guess “Guilty until proven innocent” doesn’t apply if it can help bring down a Republican.
Good to see liberals so desperate. Fills me with hope for the 2008 election cycle.

I’ve been amazed by all those who years later say they were molested when they were alter boys. Why didn’t they report the molestation at that time? Why did so many fail to report it at the time? I was an alter boy for several years and even socialize with priests after services. If ever anyone of the priests were to try to molest me, I would have reported it immediately to my parents. I also knew where the police department was located and that would have been the next stop for me.
I’m not writing to take the priests part, but I am trying to understand the reason for not immediately reporting the incident by the “victim”. If anyone has first hand knowledge I would appreciate any information which would help me understand the reason for the lack of immediate action by the “victim”.

I’m not surprised by Giuliani’s ‘loyalty.’ He’s only conforming to the ecclesiastical double standard. One for the clergy and one for the folks ‘in the pew.’ Integrity is up for grabs but bishops, politicians are not biting. Integrity is too costly.

TT: Priests are God’s representatives on earth? Perhaps a more rational description would be that they are the foot soldiers for a increasingly irrelevant belief system. The molestation issue, rather than being overblown or the result of liberal influences, is pretty darn amusing. I hope all the Good Catholics (TM) think about this when they are giving their money.

Rudy had his name in “lights” following the horror of 9-11. So did Bush in a smaller way. BOTH men have been riding off this ONE instance to heighten their esteem and keep their names in GOOD GRACES. It is just a “fool tactic” and they are brainwashing those who look up to both men simply because of what they may have said or done following 9-11. I, for one, want a candidate that has much more to offer to bring our country back to where it should be in the eyes of the world. Bush is a liar and a cheat. Rudy is a fast-talking slick copy of Bush….please people don’t let it happen again for another 4 or 8 years!

What the hell is Giuliani thinking!? Oh yeah, he’s thinking that since there are so many other hypocritical, child molesting Republicans around, he might as well jump on the bandwagon. Maybe he can hire Mark Foley too. And what a slap in the face to the victims that dirt bag priest won’t face criminal charges because the statute of limitations has expired. Children who are victims of sexual abuse are often too scared to speak up right away, and now the children are the ones that are being punished for it.

I would not vote for Giuliani if he were the only candidate in the race. I will not be responsible for what he will bring to the white house. The guilt I carry for voting for Bush is enough.
