Thompson: Clinton ‘Can’t Have It Both Ways’
ABC News’ Christine Byun: Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson says Democratic frontrunner Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., "can’t have it both ways."
"The Clinton campaign goes so far in relying upon her being a strong, strong woman … and then on a dime, they can switch to say, ‘Oh my goodness, the men are ganging up on her," Thompson said, referring to the Clinton campaign’s latest message. "You can’t have that both ways in American politics and they’re just beginning to find that out."
Thompson -– who has publicly responded to Clinton’s debate performance for the past two days -– called into Sean Hannity’s radio talkshow today and said he’s not "overly fixated on that personality," but the majority of his airtime was spent discussing Clinton’s campaign.
"Life’s full of surprises … there are two things I thought I’d never see, that is Joe Torre becoming the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Hillary Clinton getting pinned down and actually answer a controversial question," Thompson said, adding, "It took her 12 hours to come up with the wrong answer for America … it usually doesn’t take her this long."
Thompson also talked about his own campaign, defending himself of critics ("I am who I am") -– and continued to tout his immigration plan which targets the elimination of sanctuary cities.
Earlier today, the former Tennessee senator campaigned at a Las Vegas country-western bar for a Nevada State Republican fundraiser. Thompson needled Clinton from a stage on the dancefloor, a few feet away from a mechanical bull and a sign that proclaimed, "Even Cowboys Need A Little Rock and Roll."

No, she’ll probably just start that maniacal belly laugh she likes to employ when she doesn’t like the questions she is being asked.
Get used to it, chic. It’s a boys’ club, it’s always been a boys’ club, and you need to man up if you want to have any prayer of getting the nomination. Our “Commander in Chief” can’t start crying from the sidelines and let her makeup get all runny.
