Saudi King Abdullah personally greeted the president at the airport, according to ABC News’ Ann Compton, who is traveling with the commander in chief. And tomorrow President Bush will actually spend the night in a palace on the king’s royal horse farm. Not too shabby for the president but what message does it send? Not one person identified by the United States and the United Nations as a terror financier has been prosecuted by the Saudis, Stuart Levey, the undersecretary of the Treasury in charge of tracking terror financing, told ABC News in September. Even Yasin al Qadi, a wealthy businessman named on both the U.S. and U.N. lists of al Qaeda financiers one month after the 9/11 attacks, remains free and a prominent figure in Saudi society. Al Qadi has repeatedly denied the allegations, and his London-based attorney, Guy Martin of Carter-Ruck law firm, said the United States has never produced any evidence in support of the allegations against his client. I’m a Conservative Republican but I’ve never been a fan of Bush. He and his gang of neo-Cons continue to put the US in harms way because of this nation’s dependence on foreign oil. He is assisted in this dependence by the environmentalist lobby and their Democrat lackeys. Until we are allowed to drill for our own oil and gas we will continue to fund terrorists, 3rd world dictatorships, acquisition of US assets by Sovereign Wealth Funds, and the Islamization of the West which is part of the bargain Western leaders have made to keep oil flowing freely. They give us oil, we keep the doors open to Muslim immigration in spite of the rising violence it is causing throughout Europe.

I am a Bush supporter and compared to what the alternatives were, Gore and Kerry, he was still the right choice, just as the current group of Repubs better than Obama or Clinton, but with all that said, Bush is too cozy with the murderers that run Saudi Arabia.
They steal money from us via OPEC, they preach hatred and violence across the globe and yet Pres Bush talks to these folks like they are our friends. I am afraid that Bush has reverted to Bush 41 and James Baker policy that basically says lets do anything for the petro Arabs because they give us millions of dollars.

Maybe GW is already planning his post presidency residence? He may need to, especially since he won’t be protected by Executive privilege protection of his office anymore and could be being brought up for crimes against humanity charges.
Rumsfelt is wanted in Germany for exactly that and I understand that he can’t travel to Europe under the threat of being arrested.

You guys continue to gloss over the scope of the problem here. Yes, some of the richest and most well-connected men in the Kingdom have been repeatedly caught financing Al Qaeda and other like-minded jihadist organizations, men directly connected to the Saudi royal family. But their not just writing the checks. Thirteen of the fourteen men indicted by the Justice Department for participating in the Khobar Towers bombing, which killed 19 Americans, were Saudis. The two suicide bombers that attacked the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, killing 12 Americans, were both Saudis. The two suicide bombers who attacked the USS Cole were identified as Saudis. 15 of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Saudis. And now U.S. and Iraqi officials have publicly admitted that a majority of the suicide bombers killing our troops in Iraq are Saudis. How much American blood has to be spilled before we get a clue (and before you start doing your job)!

Beyond that, the Saudi KING gave Bush a HUGE gem-encrusted gold medallion like you may see in the UK Crown Jewels.
CNN: “The elaborate, gaudy jewelry was crafted by artisans with a medallion at the bottom and an 18-karat gold chain with more than 200 rubies, emeralds and diamonds.”
And to think that our OTHER elected officials aren’t even allowed to receive a $10 baseball cap as a gift. His entire term in a nutshell, Bush is the single most ethically-challenged President in HISTORY. And yet he is allowed to receive such gifts?
Does anyone really believe that Bush can receive such a disgustingly lavish gift and still pursue the best interests of the American People without being influenced by the Saudi King?
I believe that with the Neoconservative movement and the GOP/OPEC energy strangle-hold, we are looking at the single biggest financial scam in world history.

First of all, if Americans are worried about oil prices, they should start pointing fingers at their own government who are the reason for high gas prices at the pump because of all the taxes that are added on. Ever thought of that? Oil is not a resource available to everyone, therefore; it is expensive. It makes perfect sense.
Also, if any of you knew anything about your OWN president, you would know that Bush is only “goody-goody” with the Saudis because he has his own personal funds and investments to worry about, and doesn’t want to shake ties with the Saudis. In addition, the gifts given to the president all have to be submitted to the US treasury, so don’t worry folks, he won’t be going home with any “bling” for his personal use.

The rest of American wonders where the next meal is coming from, having to decide whether to pay for gas or food…what they need now, a quick fix, or what they have been desperately needing for the past year, a total solution.
And Bush is in the lap of luxury.
Whether you support Bush or not, you really have to think about that.
Personally, with what he’s done, they should have put him outside with the horses. He’s used to being on a ranch, is he not?

People in the US are starving, There are People in the US that can’t get medical care because they can’t afford medical insurance, and People in the US can’t afford the high gas prices. So what does Bush want to put in his version of a relief package? Doing away with the inheritance tax permanently so that he and his oil cronies can keep the billions of dollars they have bilked from the American People.

I did not vote for Bush either time, because I felt that his ego was far too dangerous for the American people and the world.
I realize that all Presidential candidates have large egos, but let’s hope we have learned a lesson regarding the consequences for electing a President whose “fire in the belly” is the driving force that shapes our world.

I just think Bush is like any other latin american country, corrupt and a liar , but more to worry a lot of power in his hands, but on the other side is not completely his fault because with all the information everywhere about stealing the elections, ties with the saudis , spending more money on war than education and medical care , the fault is almost all of the american people for not acting or impeaching him, i’m sure he is to blame for killing more than tyrans from other countries, we have to learn from these kind of mistakes , otherwise will be useless to keep whining over and over, best regards to all!

i’m actually Saudi, and the Saudi government does not look the other way regarding financing terrorists .. Actually, the government has banned all money-giving philanthropy, and excluded thos officially permitted by the Saudi Government. On a 2nd note .. I’ve lived in Riyadh the capital all my life (27 years) and have never heard of this Yassin Al Qadi.
