Hillary Clinton: Wright Remarks ‘Offensive and Outrageous’

ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: In an "O’Reilly Factor" exclusive, Hillary Clinton rebuked Rev. Jeremiah Wright in her strongest language to-date.

Sen. Clinton, D-N.Y., speaking exclusively to FOX News, called Wright’s comments "offensive and outrageous," telling conservative talk show host Bill O’Reilly that she going to leave the controversy "up to voters to decide."

Here’s the full exchange between O’Reilly and Clinton, as released by FOX News:

O’Reilly: "Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?"
Clinton: "Well, I’m going to leave it up to voters to decide."
O’Reilly: "Well, what do you think as an American?"
Clinton: "Well, what I said when I was asked directly is that I would not have stayed in the church.
O’Reilly: "You’re an American citizen, I’m an American citizen, He’s an American citizen, Rev. Wright. What do you think when you hear a fellow American citizen say that kind of stuff about America."
Clinton: "Well, I take offense. I think it’s offensive and outrageous. I’m going to express my opinion, others can express theirs. It is part of just, you know, an atmosphere we’re in today."

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

In an ABC News debate earlier this month, Clinton repeated the assertion she had made on the campaign trail that, if in Obama’s position, Rev. Wright would not have been her choice in pastor.

"One’s choice of church and pastor is rooted in what one believes is what you’re seeking in church and what kind of, you know, fellowship you find in church," Clinton told moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos.

"But I have to say," she continued, "for Pastor Wright to have given his first sermon after 9/11 and to have blamed the United States for the attack, which happened in my city of New York, would have been just intolerable for me. And, therefore, I would have not been able to stay in the church."

You get to choose your pastor. You don’t choose your family, but you get to choose your pastor. And when asked a direct question, I said I would not have stayed in the church," Clinton concluded, later adding she considered the issue "legitimate" in the minds of voters.

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., strongly condemned recent comments made by his former pastor at a press conference on Tuesday.

Reacting to what he called the "spectacle" of his former pastor at the National Press Club, Obama, D-Ill., denounced Wright saying, "What Rev. Wright said (on Monday) directly contradicts everything I have ever done or said in my life."

"Whatever relationship I had with Rev Wright has changed as a result of this," Obama said.

Speaking the National Press Club in Washington on Monday, Rev. Wright called the recent criticism surrounding his sermons "an attack on the black church".

"This is not about Obama, McCain, Hillary, Bill or Chelsea, this is about the black church," Wright said, speaking before an enthusiastic audience of black church leaders at the onset of a two-day symposium.

Throughout his speech and a subsequent question and answer session, Wright defiantly argued that many of his critics had not heard his whole sermons and that the media had twisted his words.

Wright vigorously defended himself against accusations he is unpatriotic but in Washington, he went on to compare U.S. troops to the Roman legions that killed Christ, to praise Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farakhan, and to suggest that the AIDS epidemic was a racist plot.

The Reverend also said he was quoting a previous U.S. Ambassador to Iraq when he said African Americans should sing "God damn America" not "God Bless America" in his first sermon following the 9/11 attacks.

"You cannot do terrorism on other people and not expect it to come back on you," Wright said on Monday. "Those are Biblical principles, not Jeremiah Wright ‘bombastic’ principles."

Obama came out forcefully on Tuesday, insisting he was "disappointed" by Wright, and rejecting his one-time pastor’s assertion that the controversy was an attack on the black church.

The candidate went considerably further than he has in the past in distancing himself from Wright, accusing him of "insensitivity and outrageousness" in his Monday appearance at the National Press Club in Washington.

"The person I saw yesterday was not the person I met 20 years ago," Obama said.

Wright has been Obama’s pastor since the Illinois Democrat joined the church. He performed Obama’s marriage ceremony and baptized the candidate’s two daughters.

The concept of a “black church” is not even Christian. The same would be true of a “white church.” There is not one thread of scripture that references worship by race or color or creed or anything else. If it’s not in the Bible, it’s not Biblical.

Obama has always known exactly what Wright believes about America and Americans. They are cut from the same cloth, and share the same views. Hillary doesn’t need to comment on, or explicate her stance on the Wright fiasco. The burden of responsibility is on Obama to explain why he didn’t leave TUCC before, and still hasn’t. His profoundly bad judgment is the issue that will continue to resonate with voters.

Don’t you get it? American will not get over this issue. BO has extremely questionable judgement, questionable patriotism, and ties to terrorists. Since these are the only things we know about him, they are what America will discuss through the November election. He’s doomed the democratic party.

Posted by: PGHPAVOTER | April 30, 2008, 10:57 am 10:57 am

It will never get old. But, it was a predictable question from O’Reilly, and one the Clinton essentially handled as she did at the Pennsylvania debate.

Posted by: sherr | April 30, 2008, 10:57 am 10:57 am

It may be getting old but it brings into question why someone would stay in a church whose leader has opinions so much at odds with one’s one. Think about how you would feel belonging to a church or organization spouting inflammatory rhetoric that you found disagreeable. Would you remain a member? Would that leader be your confidant? I think not.

Wonder if Hillary denounced Ferraro or her husband for that matter regarding their comments. Not defending Wright but he speaks for himself not anyone else. He is not the candidate but you all try to make it seem like he is. Pretty sure all of the candidates have someone they would rather the public not know about and their association. Hillary….the fundraiser in California….wanna tell us more about it

Posted by: wiphdo | April 30, 2008, 10:59 am 10:59 am

move on move on = Quit reporting stuff that HURTS Obama.
Lets get back to issues that Obama had written for him and he can spout out RHETORIC about. This is the best forum for Obama.
problem is, spouting out campaign RHETORIC is not how people vote for president. Americans long know that candidates spout out crap they will probably never implement. All three of them do the same thing.
So you have to look at the CHARACTER of the candidate to see if they will actually make the best president.
Obama had no problem talking about character. He made his WHOLE campaign about it. He is the uniter. New politician.
You Obama lovers didnt mind it at ALL when he had his media shield.
Not so much now when it works AGAINST him right?

Hillary,
I am taking my strongest stand yet and denouncing your gross misrepresentation of your experience in Bosnia as outrageous and offensive to the intelligence of the American people. This was a direct fabrication you created. Get off Obama, who did not speak Wright’s words, and focus on the issues that really concern Americans, not your agenda!

Posted by: maureefo | April 30, 2008, 10:59 am 10:59 am

Regardless of what his pastor said, you can’t really blame Obama for someone else’s words. Wright obviously has some serious personal issues with our society, and that’s something that he’ll need to sort out himself. I think I’d be pretty annoyed in Obama’s case though anyway. He’s in a political race for president, and his ‘friend’ certainly seems to be doing his best to annihilate his campaign now that so many ears are listening to every word the guy says.

Posted by: Belar | April 30, 2008, 11:00 am 11:00 am

Well, I think everybody knows by know that if she thought she could get a couple extra votes from it she would say Wright has the freedom of speech, particularly as a veteran of the U.S. Military. But because she can get more votes by being highly ‘offended’ by his remarks than that is what she will be.
Does anybody remember the movie about Sybil?

Posted by: Eileen from Maine | April 30, 2008, 11:01 am 11:01 am

A significant amount of time is being given to reporting the opinions of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I think report are biased unless they also mention that Rev. Wright attended at least one prayer breakfast with Bill Clinton. I just found this info when I Googled Wright. I think fair unbiased reporting should mention the possibility that Wright is a friend of the Clintons too.

This is starting to move from being boring…to insulting. To think that Ms. Clinton figures she’s got the moral authority to judge anyone’s choice of church! And remember: when she and Bill had marital problems in the White House, Wright was one of the spiritual consultants they invited in! What hypocrisy!

Posted by: LissaH | April 30, 2008, 11:02 am 11:02 am

No such thing as a black church or white church? Visit various churches you don’t normally attend on any given Sunday. Segregation began in the church.

I’m glad Hillary is on O’Reilly, and I’m glad that she has taken a stance against Wright for his comments. Hillary has been where Obama is now, being skewered by who she thought was friends. I admire her, for her perserverance, determination, and leadership in this race. I hope she wins the nomination. I feel she is the best for the United States of America!

How many Obama supporters have picked at every little association Clinton has had ?
Yet Obama spends 20 years of his PERSONAL LIFE listening to Wright. Calling him friend and MENTOR. Baptising his kids and marrying him and his wife.
You Obama lovers think that Wright is some kind of DISTANT association or something.
Multi Millions of americans go to church every sunday. Their pastor means a LOT to them personally.
They will NEVER buy the fact Obama sat there for 20 years if he didnt agree with where Wright was coming from.
Everyone can plainly see that Obama only distanced himself when political TROUBLE came about.
He had him on his campaign right up until the tapes were revealed.
There is no exuse for that. Its ridiculous.

When Wright’s vicious sermons first aired, the Obama camp screamed that his words were taken out of context, and that we should just “move on.” Now, Wright has confirmed his anti-American sentiments at the National Press Club, and Obama has delivered another vacant and emotionless speech about how disappointed he is with Wright. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Wright is still a hate-monger, and Obama still hasn’t left the church. Still, the Obama camp chants “move on.”

Posted by: Emily | April 30, 2008, 11:06 am 11:06 am

It’s one thing for Obama (and the black community to condemn Reverend Wright), but it’s whole other thing for Senator Clinton to do it and on O’Reilly no less. If she somehow gets this nomination through a backroom deal with super delegates, she will NOT win enough of the black vote to win this election. All this attention on white working class voters during the primary will be meaningless during the national b/c even if she get’s a 10% increase from that group, a 10% loss among African Americans will still be a loss in the election.

Posted by: Dawn | April 30, 2008, 11:06 am 11:06 am

Uh Hil WHY was Bill inviting “the deplorable Rev. Wright” to his prayer breakfasts in 1998? When you needed him back then, he was there. Is he still there for you to help destroy Obama in ’08? Hmmmn…. Forget the French chick, Hilliary Clinton: Best Actress of 2008.

To those who are saying move on: Yes we will move on – once you agree that Obama has lost his credibility, shown his real character and does not have good judgement.
Obama has totally lost his credibility. Mr. Wright did not say anything new on Monday that he had not said in the past. Obama was defending the same statements until the interview on Fox Sunday as people are talking about sound bites that are out of context. What made Obama to display such a stark contrast ‘NOW’? Obama is mad at Mr. Wright ONLY because Mr. Wright EXPOSED Obama’s credibility which can cost him the election.
This proves Mr. Wright’s point about Obama’s (lack of) credibility that as a POLITICIAN Obama will say anything to get elected – which CONTRADICTS Obama’s claim that he is not a typical politician.

It was never just about the pastor. It was about Obama’s character and judgment to sit in the church with his innocent daughters for 20 years listening to the rants that are full of filth, racism and anti-American hatred. This isn’t about people being bitter or angry. It is about Obama’s Marxist belief that people ‘cling’ to religion and guns out of bitterness.
Obama is a divider as in order to save himself from the pastor controversy he tried to DIVIDE us on ‘race’. Now with his ‘bitter small-townies’ controversy, he is trying to DIVIDE us on ‘economic inequalities’.

Posted by: Chiman | April 30, 2008, 11:08 am 11:08 am

It’s only old when you’re backing Sen. Obama is it enough. This is going to cost us the election! There is more to this. Obama is playing a chinese water torture game. Let things out drip by drip… He knew this would come out. He was betting that he’d be getting ready for the general election by now. How does he carry (FL, MI, PA, OH, MO) What about the re-drawing of the political map? That’s all dead and gone at this point.
All of you keep trying to portray Obama as a victim. He knew what he was doing in th west and the south. It was a well conceived and executed strategy. Now that part of the team has committed an act of mutiny, many of you are asking for compassion when you and Obama have never given any.
Many of you have spoken up for Dr. Wright. Now, you like Obama, have thrown him under that tired old bus with grandma and Geraldine Ferraro.
Isn’t that special!!!!

Choosing president of the United State is not a joke. It is a serious task. Therefore, we have to vet everything about the applicants. Rev. Wright has a strong influent on Sen. Obama mindset. That is why American need to talk and weight this issue until coming to the poll.

NC Attorney – Obama was too busy conniving to knock Alice Palmer (his mentor) off of the ballot in corrupt Chicago politics at the time. He didn’t get a vote on the war, because he was barely involved in politics at the time. His eloquent speech (one of many, many, many that he later essentially retracts) does not demonstrate good judgement.

Maybe he should be president & get us out of all of the foreign cr*p that we are in & focus more on this country & our American citizens.

Nice try for a deflection. But the problem with your logic is, Obama has nothing else going for him than his supposed “good judgment” – well that, and his oratorical skills.
So now his good judgment is being questioned, and I think it needs to be explored.
As far as discussing issues, what’s the point with Obama really? His ideas are shadows of Clinton’s with some tweaks – that is, when he actually goes beyond generalities. Cap and trade (unoriginal), faux-Universal Health Care, DOUBLING the capital gains (insanity).

Instead of apologizing for his own wrong choices, bone-headed decisions, bad judgments, misspoken words, elitist ways to look down to average Americans, radical connections etc, Mr. Obama chose a wrong path to lecture America on race, defended his anti-American friends and wife, provided multiple contradictory explanations.
This shows his character, lack of judgment and lack of credibility. This is the fundamental issue.

Posted by: Chiman | April 30, 2008, 11:13 am 11:13 am

What “I think” is irrelevant. (period)
This nation is built on a Constitution, Bill of Rights, and numerous other documents that allow for the freedom of PRESS and freedom of SPEECH, is that correct?
I don’t have to agree with the “religious views” of another person, but they have the right to have their view in any way they care to share it-albeit in their church or grocery store.
The statements that were made by the Rev. were NOT religious views, and that is being twisted by all parties involved.
The Pastor of any Church may not make his Political views “known” and in that manner save himself from ridicule–THIS one did-IN HIS Church…THERE lies the PROBLEM!!
Though he may be a good pastor he should not (in my view) have brought the two “views” together in his position as PASTOR.

This continual, every day ad nauseum blitzing on the part of the media is proof, maybe, that it’s the media who actually get to decide who the next president will be. If no one wrote about this we’d be talking ISSUES and GAS PRICES and FOOD PRICES, and PEOPLE LOSING THEIR HOMES, and OUR KIDS BEING KILLED IN IRAQ and comparing the views of all three candidates. Instead, it seems the media are focused on the destruction of one of our Democratic candidates. It feels like Hillary got off real easy with Bosnia sniper fire and “misspeaking” and her pro-Nafta stance, and her sitting on the board of Walmart and supporting their staunch anti-union efforts which left Walmart employees in terrible condition, and “35 years of experience” which by now we know isn’t the case at all. It seems to me that the media have chosen their democratic candidate.

Like it or not, you are judged by the company you keep and the choices you make. This goes to character. So far with Wright, Rezko and Ayres it is not looking good. It’s interesting that we have just a pastor, just a guy I did 8 hours of legal work and just a guy in my neighborhood is a 20 year spiritual mentor and “Uncle”, a large fund raiser and donater and real estate buddy and a guy who’s home was used to launch a career and fund raisers. Hillary Clinton is loving the moment because she thinks that she is definitely the Democratic nominee and that she will get away with all those tricks in her bag. Remember vengeance is not yours; it’s the Lord’s. We also reap what we sew. Well, if she is the one chosen, most of the people I know who now support Obama will either not vote or will vote for McCain.

Marlon,
He’s going to make it. He will be our next president.
Obama is speaking truth to power and power is having fits and meltdowns over it. But don’t forget that he has an insurmountable lead with pledged delegates. Super delegates will not overturn the will of the people. One of the things that the media never talk about is that her lead in super delegates, which is shrinking steadily anyway, is due to party insiders. Of super delegates who hold public office, they were neck and neck, and I believe now he is slightly ahead.
In order for her to win the nomination, she has to win 65%+ of the remaining contests, which would only bring her to even with him, and then she needs a vast majority of the remaining uncommitted super delegates.
It’s not going to happen.

I second that. Colin Powell should have been the first black president. Obama is a joke in comparison to that man.
It’s just a matter now of how long Obama can survive. Will he still win the Democratic nomination? If he does, how long before the Republican machines trounces him into complete humiliation.
Mark my word, this campaign will go down in the history books of one that did a drastic turnaround in a matter of one month.

Has Jeremiah Wright responded to Obama attempt to throw him under the bus yesterday? If so, what does he have to say? So much for Obama claim that he could no more disown Jeremiah Wright than he could the black community and his own grandmother. It just goes to show that Obama has completely sold out. Obama would throw his wife under the bus if he though she was hurting his chances of being elected.

Posted by: USmarine0331 | April 30, 2008, 11:24 am 11:24 am

Pastor Wright must know that his comments are not helping or good for Obama. The thing I would like to know is why Pastor Wright doesn’t want Obama to become president. Pretty obvious to me.

Superdelegates can switch who they support any time Obamanations. Obama’s superdelegate today, may be Hillary’s tomorrow. Just a thought. It’s time for the DNC to tell bitter Obama to exit gracefully before the Republicans become the party of the (name your category that has been thrown under the bus or otherwise offended by Obama) people.
GO HILLARY 08!

Posted by: MSG | April 30, 2008, 11:25 am 11:25 am

No matter how you slice it, Rev. Wright’s comments are poison in a general election. How can Obama say in Philly last month that he “can no more disown Wright than he could his caucasian grandmother” then yesterday throw him under the proverbial bus? The general election is too important to gamble on the inexperienced (in running a campaign) junior Senator from Illinois. But like Dukakis, Gore and Kerry, he’ll get my vote if he’s the nominee…

Posted by: Rbook | April 30, 2008, 11:26 am 11:26 am

Obama supporters: I know you all feel mad and frustrated because Mr. Obama misled you and so did the main stream media. You need to think as true American and see if you really really want Mr. Obama with all his radical connections into the highest and most powerful office in the world?
It was never just about the nutty pastor.

Lake Hart, your analogy is flawed. The Catholic Church does not call itself “unashamedly pedophiles”, nor does it openly accept it. Priests did this behind the back of many, and the coverup has outraged many. But it has nothing to do with Catholic faith.
On the contrary, Wright’s whole Church was based on promoting black people – in many forms, some positive, many negative (like ludicrous conspiracy theories).

Posted by: JA | April 30, 2008, 11:28 am 11:28 am

So no one is questioning Obama’s flip flop. He’s like a father, oops not!
How about his judgement?
This is so not over. You can stop talking about the crazy pastor and start talking about why a Presidential Candidate would be assosiated with and defend this quack that was like a father to him. I don’t know about you, but the father figure in my life rubbed off on me whether I wanted him to or not.
Go after Obama’s judgement.
He should not be left off the hook because he threw the wacko under the bus.
He should have done it long ago, instead of sneaking him into the basement to pray when they started this race.
Obama knew what this guy was like and did what he did anyway because it was helping him get votes.
Purly political and it is backfiring.

The writing is clearly on the wall for Obama.A few weeks ago he defended these same remarks made by his pastor as did his rabid supporters. Now suddenly since his pastor has come forward to defend himself and has declared that”Obama says whatever he has to say as a politician”,Obama sees him as a threat to his ambitions.Obama has blatantly lied about this matter time and again and has never been called on it.When he is forced to drop out of the race, which is only a matter of time, his foolish and deluded supporters will all go berserk.Which they are in the process of doing now. Then we can get on with the business of electing a competent and knowledgable grown up person for our next president.

It’s hard to take anything that comes out of this duplicitous and vicious woman’s mouth as believable. Hillary Clinton is Richard Nixon in a pantsuit. I am far from being an Obama supporter, but even though I am a Democrat, a woman and a New Yorker, I wouldn’t vote for Clinton if she were the last candidate on earth. I pray she is not our next president, and assuming she is not, I will donate money to anybody who runs against her in the next Senatorial primary. (She certainly won’t be running for President again unless she’s as deluded as Ralph Nader; everyone will blame her for subjecting us to 4 more years of a Bush/McCain administration!)

The problem is not Rev. Wright, Obama, Hillary or McCain. The problem is our corporate media that dwells on such non-issues, and ignores the real problems that we all want to see addressed. The Wright issue has been covered ad nausea! The public just starts to turn a deaf ear when the media continues to push such issues, which leads to growing disinterest in this important campaign. Shame on you ABC!! This is not “BREAKING NEWS”.

Wow, O’Reilly really lobbed some softballs in Hillary’s direction. I wonder why that is. Let’s see if O’Reilly is equally tough about our Miss Clinton’s little “bumps” in the road. Or, better yet, let’s see if he even asks about anything even remotely touchy while HRC is on tonight. If he doesn’t, then we’ll know that he would like to see an HRC / McCain matchup. Here’s a thought for all of the journalists out there. How about asking candidates where they stand on the issues. How about not asking them about what the think of their candidates. It’s obvious what they would say. They don’t want their candidates to win. Why in the world would any journalist, or anybody for that matter, give a crap what HRC thinks about McCain or Obama. It’s totally obvious that any answer she would give to this question would be totally suspect and self-serving.

Posted by: J. T. Bigglesworth | April 30, 2008, 11:34 am 11:34 am

How is it that Mr. Obama’s statements of his own principles and aspirations for the American people are characterized as mere rhetoric, while Reverend Wright’s obviously rhetorical outbursts are taken as statements of Mr. Obama’s beliefs? Obviously Obama and Clinton are the only choice the Dem’s have to offer so essentially they don’t have a choice. Same thing when they had Kerry. Biggest bunch of hipocrites and losers (other than Pelosi, Reid, and Murtha) in history. Should either one win the GE, this country is doomed and the next 4 years will be dire straits (didn’t mean to offend the band) for the USA. Our taxes will go up, our military will suffer, and you can bet you will be living on less than you are now. McCain is a nice man, but all he is doing is gratifying his ego. He has wanted to be CinC for years. Although he would be better than Mutt and Jeff for the Dem’s. Wake up America! We need a third party.

Bottom line is this. You can’t force Obama to drop out of the race right now, you need to see the results of at least IN and NC. If the polls show a turnaround in favor of Hillary, I think it would be best for Obama to politely drop out of this race.
I know a lot of diehard Obama supporters don’t want that, but you have to be realistic. This man is unelectable.

Rev. Wright is speaking for himself, and at this point and time, I don’t think we should be discussing him anymore. Let’s get on with things that really matter to the America people such as the economy and how it’s taking it’s toll on us, and what can the candidates do to easy our problems in that area. And also get our men and women out of this senseless war.

Why in the world would anybody who has a lead in delegates, popular votes, and states voluntarily leave the race? Obama has a high tolerance for people he may disagree with, which is so refreshing and what i would personally love to see as our leader; I think we citizens need a new example to follow in that regard, perhaps more than anything. Pastors come and go, but the spiritual community is lasting; we don’t agree with WE can’t follow all of our pastor’s teachings, do we? We’re not perfect and neither is anyone else, pastor or member.
we’re trapped in a hierarchical paradigm expecting the President, the Pastor, our Boss, the Movie Star, SOMEBODY be DADDY so we can blame the poor man! Here we all are wagging our fingers at “them” — what are WE doing to change the world for the better?

RadioHedge must have been reading one of Jeremiah Wright’s own history book. The US at no point in history had ever bombed the country of Iran. Yes, Saddam’s Iraq fought a bloody war with Iran with some arms from the US but mostly from Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Saddam’s main T-55-72 tanks, MIG fighters, BMP armoured vehicles, Katyusha rockets, RPGs and AK-47s are all Soviet/Eastern European designed and manufactured. Stop reading this ignorant pastor’s lies and read some real history
books. Wright should have defected to North Korea with a couple of US army types. We call them and still mention them as traitors.

La in Indiana,
Not all white people are racist, to make Blanket statements about a Group is not fair. You have to take one person at a time. The Reverend Wright’s comments make white people like me who are not racist say, “What did I do to you?” We cannot be held responsible for the sins of our fathers. I am not saying that there isn’t racism but people need to be specific about who they are talking and not generalize the issue. Other wise it just creates more enemies not friends.

Posted by: Patch W. Adams | April 30, 2008, 11:49 am 11:49 am

Lake Hart, you see the problem is this isn’t just about Obama’s pastor. Obama has completely fudged this issue demonstrating poor judgment. Additionally, Wright indicated that Obama agrees with at least some of his points. Actually, that is the only reason why Obama is speaking out against him now.
So we have the right to know what it is that Obama was nodding his head in agreement with during his conversations with Wright. Don’t you think we deserve the truth???

Posted by: JA | April 30, 2008, 11:49 am 11:49 am

This would’ve been no story had Obama not told 4 now 5 different stories about Wright. He is not truthful. There is so much more left to say that will come later. He also said that the typical white person says offensive things behind closed doors. He has so many connections to unsavory people who helped him get to where he is.
Geraldine Ferraro’s talk about Obama, that he would not be where he is if he wasn’t a black man, is something he said about himself in his book. I didn’t think that was offensive at all.

Grow up, and start thinking for yourself. Not one of these 3 candidates have offered anything in the way of policy. What they will do for the american people in regards to the economy, the mortgage scandal, gas prices, food shortages, health insurance and YES lets not forget THE WAR!!!!. Posted by: Disgusted in NJ | April 30, 2008, 11:51 am 11:51 am

Senator Barack Obama may feel like he is somehow “above” discussing the Wright issue further – but the simple truth is that he brought this all on himself. No one forced him to sit in that church and listen to Wright Sunday after Sunday for nearly 20 years. His new claim that his pastor is “not the man I met 20 years ago is simply ludicris and not at all credible. Obama supporters are begging the media and public to “move on to the issues” simply because they do not want to have to try to defend the indefensible. Barack himself has made Hillary’s character & judgement a core issue of his campaign. So, what is good for the goose [Hillary] is sure as heck good enough for the gander [Barack].

“It has to be wrong – if it’s Wright”

Posted by: JR | April 30, 2008, 11:51 am 11:51 am

I dont understand why america, is so
ruffled in her underwear, about what
Rev. Wright has said. I was told that
the truth will set you free, and not
all people are freed. He is entitle
to speak his mind, everyone else does.
Hillary, should set her hypocritical
self down, and learn from her husband.
When, it is all said and done, if the
media, can talk and spread undeserving
remarks about others, why cant Rev. Wright speak the truth. I have learned
that if you speak intelligent and it doesnt flow with the ‘yes man’ attitude, you have to be an extremist, but I personally, dont like listen to
the mainstream media and its boy.
I think the people, who are keeping this
bull crap going on, why dont you concentrate on the war, gas prices, crime, senior care, health benefits and
other cares, that the world is interested in.
True politic bull crap

The only way the wright issue goes away is if two perfect scenerios happen
-wright shuts up. This is a big one.
-the liberal media in the tank for Obama squashes every reference to it and tries to change the subject all the time. Makes up fake articles to turn it towards clinton.
Unfortunately, CNN and MSNBC do not OWN the media, and they are so biased in favor of obama, millions no longer watch their show. Only Obama lovers can watch it.
even obama lovers will turn them off becuase they want to hear ACTUAL news , not just a 24/7 informercial.

I just spent $230.00 on week’s worth of groceries. I also paid $55.00 to fill up my car’s gas tank today. I have over 100k in college/grad school debt. Worst of all, my employer just announced that there will be major lay-offs this spring. I could give a rat’s you know what Rev. Wright has to say. He is not running for any political office. We need CHANGE now and Obama is the only person capable of fixing the problems in Washington.

Wright is serving his own interests, not those of the Church nor her members. He looks far more like the repackaged liar Al Sharpton who outrageously presented the out and out false Tawana Brawley to the world, than the Dalai Lama. The best we can do here is leave such marginal characters in the margins by denying them our attention. Finally, despite my general affection for an Obama candidacy, drawing the inference that he understood Rev. Wright well and voted with his feet (and attendance at the church) to support those ideas. In other words, it is a fair statement that this is not a simple ‘mistake’ but a compound error of decades.

Posted by: American 4 America | April 30, 2008, 11:55 am 11:55 am

Oh, yes, let’s hush this one along while the Repubs are gleefully collecting more vile videos of the great rev and his obama. Honestly, this WON’T go away no matter how much you wish it would.
I don’t doubt that Obama does not hold these views, but what loses my vote is that it shows he’s a coward. If he can’t walk out of that church that means he sat there and ignored it…that’s just as bad as accepting it. I don’t want a weakling as my president.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that we live in a country where we have freedom of choice. All these name callings are absolutely ridiculous. You can vote for whichever candidate meets your specific needs, Hillary or Barack. Each of them have made personal choices and they are just that personal choices. Hillary chose to stay with her husband after his affair. In case some people forget, you take vows “until death do you part.” Barack liked the church that he attended. Now he feels like some of the sentiments by the Rev are insulting, again a personal choice. After all is said and done, these two will remain friends. They are all politicians!!! They lie, they steal and do whatever seems to get them elected. Some have done things that have helped society but at the end of the day, they are all about themselves. Right now, I am concerned about the war, economy, gas and food prices. Rev Wright, Bosnia these are all distractions. Get over it! All these candidates are slinging mud at each other. At the end of the day, which one of these liars will give us the most help. There are many racial sentiments said on this website and the comments are not necessary. Whether Black, White or Asian, we all bleed red. Can we all just grow up.

A reader in Georgia: Hillary had the guts to go on the Bill O’Reilly show? What does that mean? Let’s see, last Saturday Fox News when discussing the Lincoln-Douglass debates showed photographs of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. And Fox is the first to complain about the “dumbing down of America.” Would I want to appear on a show on Fox News. Hell, no! I already know enough idiots, I don’t need to meet anymore.

Posted by: Pepou | April 30, 2008, 11:59 am 11:59 am

The Barack Obama mindless supporters are pathetically attempting to draw an analogy between Barack not leaving his racist church to Hillary choosing not to leave her cheating husband. Lets see, the pastor preached and ministered to thousands of his “flock” for over 30 years, taking responsibility for their spirituality. Bill cheated on his wife in what is basically, a non of your business personal & private life. Gee, I wonder which is worse? The point of Barack’s lying about not understanding how devisive his pastor truly is, is actually the larger story. He lost any amount of credibility he had left yesterday. Those that continue to trust him and flock to him are delusional.

He was on easy street and now finally he is learning what it is like to be running for the Presidency of the U.S.
The people that don’t understand what Rev. Wright’s words have to do with Obama will never get it.

It’s a free country, so Wright can practice all the hate that he wants in his church. A presidential candidate sitting there for 20 years listening to that hate is inexcusable though.

I just want to say congratulations to the many superdelegates who came out to openly endorse and support Obama over the last 24 hours. Especially the great Congressman from Indiana. You guys have guts and wisdom, and we need more honest supers willing to step forward from the shadows and do the correct thing to help out Barack for the good of the country. How bad are you going to feel, if you hold back now, when you’re needed most, and Hillary Clinton steals this nomination? You don’t want to work under her because you know it will be brutal. She and Bill, the 109 Million dollar couple, could be in your face- it will be their way or the highway. She can’t win without destroying everything the democratic party has worked so hard for. You don’t want that kind of divisiveness, anymore than the country wants to hear her brand of shrill attack-style politics on a daily basis! C’mon superdelegates- the time is now, don’t be weak- take a stand! Now- please!

Hillary is a liar and completely unelectable. McCain is old and George Bush III. Obama is the best choice. He’s intelligent and mature unlike these two older losers.

Posted by: Scott | April 30, 2008, 12:01 pm 12:01 pm

Hillary is experience and mature! She is an experience leader and demonstrates all the qualities that America requires of a Commander-In-Chief.
Rev. Wright has revealed the “True Obama”. The Rev made this explicit when he said that Obama is a politician and will say what a politician would say in response to the poll and the situation.
Obama even said recently that the Rev. was not his Spiritual Advisor. Like a politician, Obama forgot that he did refer to the Rev., some weeks ago, as his Spiritual Advisor. Rev. Wright’s behavior over the weekend and on Monday was no different from his behavior on the earlier tapes that surfaced.
Obama should not be the nominee. If the Democratic Party nominates him for fear of losing the Blank votes, they are forgetting about the Hispanic vote. This is a very important group (the Hispanics) and they will not vote for Obama. As for me, I am black and a Democrat. But if Obama is the nominee, I will vote for John McCain. Obama is inexperience and his judgment is very poor.
Remember, the two people who have known Obama for more than 20 years, his wife and his pastor, revealed who he truly is to the American people. Don’t let Obama fool you with his words – they are political!
I am of the opinion that most of the Super delegates know within themselves that Obama cannot win the General Election. But they are endorsing him just because they do not want a strong woman to win. Such behavior is very bad for the party.

I cannot understand for the life of me how you can be a memeber of a church for 20 years, marry in it, baptize your children and not know ANY of these things were being said. It was even more suspicious when Roland on CNN said that other ministers were begging wright not to go to the National Press Club. The other ministers obviously knew more that a memeber about what wright might say!!!!

AS FOR MOVING ON:
Absolutely, let’s move on to Obama’s good friend, Bill “the bomber” Ayers. While we’re at it, we should also move on to Obama’s unscrupulous Chicago friends and close associates: Rezko, Blago, Daley, and Stroger.
Then we can revisit Obama’s unsavory spiritual friends and mentors: Wright, Meeks, and Frank Davis.
Finally, we can move on to Obama’s really bad judgment, inexperience, ineptitude, elitism, racist wife, and his gigantic ego.
By the time we’re done moving on, Hillary will be commander and chief. Thank God!

It is just so old stuff over, over, over, over and over. Can Sen. Clinton talk more about other substantive issues that are more relevant to American people’lives. He talked for himself. He is constitutionally entiled to his freedom of speech, just like other citizens. What he had said was that what he has believed in. If we do not believe in what he had said, just completely ignored. Well can’t you prevent your own pastor to have the same opinions, values and other beliefs as you do, no? Can your own pastor prevent the members of his churches to have the same opinions, values and other beliefs, no? It is so old issue, just move on with other pressing issues Sen. Clinton. It is so bored issue.

Has anyone else on this blog noticed the verocity and unacceptable level of plain rude nastiness by the Obama supporters against Hillary? Their immaturity and inability to defend Barack leaves them no choice but to hurl nasty insults [like Hillary is old and cold and dried up and not sexually desirable] rather than make valid points. It shows the shallowness of their character and why they must have decided to support Barack in the first place. Obama and his supporters remind me of one of those big hollow chocolate Easter bunnies. Pretty and tasty on the outside – yet crumbling and lacking on the inside. Barack’s bunny is crumbling, and rightly so America.

Obama is preying on the desire of all U.S. citizens for hope and change, and I feel sorry for anyone who buys into THAT rhetoric.
He has equated himself to being the source of that hope and the only means of achieving that change, just as the Rev. Wright has tried to distance attacks on himself as attacks on the black church.
But why, why, why don’t I know more about Obama’s views on issues? Why does it seem like he presents ideas so close to Clinton’s (whom I’m not fond of) only AFTER she presents them? Why do I recall his campaign being more about attacks on Clinton than what he actually stands for? Why does his “I was always against the war” make him seem like a one-trick pony? (Most people also don’t realize he NEVER VOTED in the vote he said he was against because he wasn’t in the senate at the time.” Why doesn’t the American public CARE that Obama has one of the WORST voting records for a U.S. Senator EVER?
Obama is FAST FOOD. He continues to use that which we all want to hear, and we keep eating it all because it tastes good now but there’s very little substance to it to make it worth much more than words.

What do these issues have to do with anything related to the Presidency of the United States? FIrst of all every one of you who are screaming that Rev. Wroght is ????? your only issue is he’s right and you know it…..it’s HARD to deal w/ the truth…….You didn’t see the media asking for political members, of the congregations where sexual abuse occured, to explain why it was allowed.
How did Rev. Wright harm anyone> It’s only because he is reminding you that nothing has really changed. For every step forward there are traps set to create probelms. For example the drug issue. White men finance this evil give it to the blacks/hispanics to sell/use then the white man comes back and kills or imprisons them for life for doing what they were “told” to do and the cycle goes on. Truth hurts!
Why are so many people determined to destroy this man….for what……he cannot do any more harm to the country than has already been done during the last 7 yrs….truth hurts! Everyne is entitled to their own opinion but before we form one we need to take a deep look at what is actually happening. Gas is so high now only the rich can travel. .60 of every dollar goes for taxes….meaning you actuall only put .40 worth of gas in for every 1.00 you pumped. And GW is not the least bit concerned. “jump start the economy…..yea….right 300.00 will pay for what? All commodities have soared in cost because of the gas and what is the tax paying for ???? the war! Another 10 years of this and we will be exactly where “Benny” wants us.
What is wrong, is people are using insignificant things to focus on because that satisfies the need to get back at someone regardless of the the facts. We waste more time trying to clear up “pity party” issues than tackling the real thing…..unemployment….hunger, homelessness, illness, medications, NO health care….the list is pretty long….but we like to hear things about who said what and how di he/she answer. It’s disgusting listening to all of these brilliant thoughts that really DO NOT generate anythng positive. 2 or 3 people were wise enough to tell it like it really is others are worried about why blacks/hispanics can’t live like “normal” human beings….I need to hear what “normal” is in todays world. Stop the senseless bickering and look at the REAL picture…..we need to make congress responsible put them in a report card status and if they don’t make the grade they’re out of there. WE sit by year after year allowing congress to pass all of these silly bills for favors from whomever and it has nothing to do with the need for americans who pay taxes…..that’s a thought stop paying taxes how much could they srend then?

First Wright wigs out at the Press Club, now Hillary piles on when Politics 101 — no, the remedial course you take BEFORE Politics 101 — tells you to act gracious and above the fray when an opponent has a mess like this to deal with.
She should have stayed silent or made a passing comment on the Wright matter. Instead it looks desperate and like she has nothing constructive or positive to say about her own campaign. On the other hand, I guess she is opening the door to some sort of Fox News pundit job if she loses. That’s the only explanation I can think of.

Once again, the US citizens are so easily caught up in the distraction of NONSENSE news. I advise you to stop gobbling up everything you hear as gospel and actually LISTEN to this man. I did and he didn’t offend me nor my national association with this nation at all. He merely exercised his RIGHT as a US citizen to speak his mind about a system that is corrupt… and it has been PROVEN to be corrupt. The killings we condoned GWB to commit based upon his OBVIOUS LIARS SMIRK were an atrocity.
Mr. Obama has as much to do with things Rev Wright says as any of you so-called Christians have to do with Tim McVeighs bombing of the Oklahoma City building, or the hanging of blacks by Christians of the South… all this is nothing but a political distraction that HARMS YOUR ABILITY TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION! She is not perfect..only God is!..but she is bright, articulate, and loves her country and wants to make a difference for all Americans including poor people(vis a vis healthcare which should be a right for every citizen and not a privilege). Hillary Clinton is far better than that poor excuse that we currently have as a so called president who has run this country’s economy into the ground. I am a democrat and proud of it because the democrat party at least tries to help everyone including the poor and dispossed. The Republican party is for the rich and starting wars..how middle class and poor people vote for that party confounds me to the core. So I think the Democratic party should nominate Hillary to run and she should choose Obama as her running mate..why? because Obama is done!finished!Caput! he has lost credibility and millions of votes(for the top spot)..lets be honest with ourselves!.. and we democrats need to win in November. A Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama ticket would be hard to beat and the Replubicans know that. Barack should accept the vp position, behave himself, do well in the position, use the eight years..years 8 years..to put all the garbage of wright, muslim, does not love America stuff behind..leave that poor excuse for a church(that is an Anti American racist community organization)in my opinion and I’m black. The church should be used to preach love and unity not hate and division..Obama should contemplate running in 2016..If he behaves himself..He would be very formidable and I think can win in 2016. Hillary Clinton?Barack Obama in November and I’m praying to this end that this become a reality. God bless America! I love my country and I’m a black man..there are many black people who loves this country we are just disappointed in the politicians. God Bless America!

Enough about Rev. Wright…it’s time to move on…I’m paying almost $4 a gallon for gas and all Hillary wants to do is yap about Wright..and giving temporary help in this gas crisis isn’t enough, there needs to be a permanent solution. I read where Shell posted a huge 1st quarter profit. Why should they be allowed such a profit when American’s are struggling to get to and from work? I also wish Hillary would drop out of the race so this bitterness can stop. And all this talk about her getting the nomination even if Obabma has the most delegate, how can they even think about doing that?

The Democratic Party has become increasing controlled by the extreme left over the last several years and are out of touch with mainstream America. That’s why it is nearly certain that Obama will be the nominee and just as certain that they will lose in November. It is no surprise that the Democrats have only elected one President in 30 years.

Deb,
So Obama should be free of critisism from Hillary?
It is funny to me how some people act like she should just escort him to the nomination. People should point out his issues, he is running for president of the united states, not president of a fan club.
Hillary should be the first to point them out.
He can do the same of her, and let’s see who lasts. This is a grown up world of politics, not tee ball.
If he can’t stand the heat he should get out of the kitchen.

Posted by: richard | April 30, 2008, 12:39 pm 12:39 pm

This is becoming an old issue. Quite old. Let’s go onto something more productive like the sagging economy, the war in Iraq, and the starvation and poverty that still exists in this country. I believe we all get it. Wright is wrong and Obama is now willing to admit that, and announce his disgust of it. Should be easy, but it isn’t.

Posted by: Jill | April 30, 2008, 12:40 pm 12:40 pm

sabatu, Obama supporters have been posting for weeks that we had to listen to the whole sermon to understan what wright was talking about to put it in the proper context. He said exactly what he was implying at the press club speach and it is exactly what people are upset about and the rest of the sermon is irrelevent. The man said exactly what he intended to say and was not taken out of context.

Posted by: kev | April 30, 2008, 12:42 pm 12:42 pm

Do you know what the sad thing is about this whole Rev. Wright thing. The fact that it;s Obama who has to answer for his comments, when he himself didn;t make the comments. I am not American, but I have been following the campaigne and I really like Mr. Obama. I saw him from the beginning as a really different person. He was fresh and he inspired even me a foreigner of your country. It is so sad that he has not been given a chance to prove himself and he is being to badly condemned. Not because of what he did or said, but becuase of what someone else said. The saddest think though is the fact that the media has been the ones who made this story as big as it is. I really hope you people make a decision that will benifit all of you, because from where I am standing… it doesn;t look very good for you.

ABC is becoming like Fox News. It’s all about getting Hillary the nomination so McCain will have an easier time defeating a democrat. The ABC debate proved to me they are no longer an objective news organization but an arm to the conservative right movement. When will America start standing up to the news media so we can actually get the real news reported in an objective way without spin. Is that too much to ask!

Posted by: Bob Cummmings | April 30, 2008, 12:45 pm 12:45 pm

Only one reason HRC would choose to go on the O’Reilly show. She saw it as an opportunity to score points against Obama. There is no love between Clinton and Fox, and I find that interview quite a bit of showmanship on her part. Smart move? Who knows. Guess we will continue to read what the “media” chooses to print, and also the loaded language used to “deliver” the story.

Posted by: Ginger M. | April 30, 2008, 12:48 pm 12:48 pm

Billy Bob:
I understand what your saying now: Wright painted a much clearer picture of his opinions at the press club dinner than in his veiled sermons. Yes, I agree. By stating “listen to the entire sermon” I was merely trying to address the people who took Wrights opinions of American condemnation as anti-american without actually understanding why he was saying them (his views on the U.S. acting as an imperialist power, comparisons to biblical references of vengeance); I wasn’t trying to condemn people who disagree with his viewpoints, as I think a valid case can be made for or against his opinions. Whether or not people agree with his viewpoints is an entirely different discussion, I just find it frustrating the his speech is being spun to something much more sinister then I think he’s trying to make it sound.

Posted by: billy bob | April 30, 2008, 12:49 pm 12:49 pm

To the poster who complains about high gas prices and big oil companies posting record profits? Look at this realistically.
It’s not about the big oil company. You want the government to step in and force them to lower prices, or give money back?
They will simply move their operations overseas, move to the Tokyo stock market, and keep on making money. High prices domestically are caused by low supply, not enough refineries, no nuclear powerplants, no domestic drilling, environmentalist preventing exploration and development of domestic supplies for the last 30 years, and foreign economies (namely India & China) in the WORLD coming online faster that world supply can keep up.

Get used to it if you want Obama as your nominee. The juicy buffet of Wright, Rezko, Auchi, Ayers and Dohrn (shudder at the last two because they are scary), will be available for feasting leading up to the national election in November. Americans, long in love with meat and potatoes and a nice salad, are not going to like the bad taste in their mouths from these dishes. I am not saying that Hilary should escort Obama to the nomination, but when you and someone are on the same team, there are certain principles you live by. Look at how we hate each other, that shouldnt be, we are all democrats and we should initially be on the same team. But if Hilary acts like Barack is her enemy…and that is what is causing the war between the party. If Barack has baggage it is the republicans job to find it. Hilary is not baggage free either and as a matter of fact she has her baggage and her husband’s.
Hillary should be selling her strength’s not tearing down OBama to get the nomination.

Personally, I’d really like to disagree with you and say that not every person who puts themselves in front of a camera with strong viewpoints in the facy of extreme criticism does so only for their own ego and money, and that some do so for the good of this coutnry. At the same time however I can’t remember the last time I saw one of these figures in front of the cameras that I felt -was- 100% genuine, so i’m afraid I can’t argue against your point, which I admit may very well be valid, sadly.

He is a fraud , liar and the biggest misspeaker in the public eye . He is not qualified to lead this country, period. Saddened,
I have reasons for not going with Obama, not excuses.
His inexperiance has really showed recently, and that is the main thing.
Selling dreams is a tough business.
A whole lot easier to sell to the youth of this country as well. People want to say that Obama and Hillary are the same on issues and I disagree with that as well. Also saying your for something and actually getting it done are two different things.
I will ask this question again.
What has he “done” not said that makes you believe he can run this country. He has done absolutly 0 in the Senate, and all of his files for the state legislature can not be found. Hmmmm!
So tell me what has he done so impressivly to make you think he can do what he says he can do?

O’Reilly: “Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?”
Clinton: “Well, I’m going to leave it up to voters to decide.”
See! This is the problem. Voters to decide what? Between Hillary and Wright? Wright isn’t running for President! That’s like O’Reilly asking Obama what he thinks of Bill Clinton and Obama saying he’ll let the voters decide. So misleading.

Perhaps, unlike you, Hillary has read the Bible, I Peter 3:1-2 says, “In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.” O’bama should have been read John chapter 10 about 20 years ago.

I agree with most on here that say we need to “move on”, yes lets. The media is a 24 hour entertainment show, it getting quite pathetic. Rev. Wright has a FEW truths to what he is saying, and I’m a white southern male, but a liberal one at that. He is just another opporotunist that says he walks the path of God buy c’mon he’s on TV now more than the candidates. Growing up below the masson dixon line I have visited black churches and this teaching mixing socio-economic, race, and religion can be common. It doesn’t offend me, but He offends me as an American to hear his twist on things bringing race to the forefront. This last debacle appears to say to Obama, you sold me out so I’m gonna ruin you! Hillary, well of course she’s going to use this to her advantage. They are policians you know, why are some of you so suprised?

He has so much knowledge and experiance to do this. Like he is some kind of God.
He has shown us nothing but retorhic.
He has done a good job of telling us the sky is falling. I do feel that there are a many issues we need to face, but the world is not comming to an end.

Hillary is unreal. If the presentation by Wright was not a set up I will be surprised. I have been waiting for the latest stunt from the Clintons.
BO is no more responsible for the Wright sound bites than I am. I have read the full sermons and they are not incorrect in many assertions.
I have heard many of the same sound bites in a Methodist Church. Funny that this is the same Church the Clintons attend regularly. I am sure they have heard the same rhetoric unless they were not listening.

I personally don’t think Obama has to explain himself at all concerning Rev Wright. We all can see that these two people are different people with different opinions. Or can we? Do all blacks look alike? They’re the same color so they must think the same? Guilt by association? Hmm. I have a few very adamant Republican friends and family…does that make a republcan by association? Yeah right….I don’t think so! I’m as Democrat as you get and I still love my Republican friends and family members!

The simple truth is, had Saddam adhered to UN resolution 1441 the US would not have invaded Iraq. Documents secured from Saddam now show that Saddam had every intention of restarting his WMD program as he did not think the US would invade him. So sooner or later, the world would have had to face up to the immediate threat Saddam posed to the world. Post 9/11, the US decided it would not wait and be attacked by a known enemy of the West . An enemy who cheered 9/11 , provided aid to Hamas , and who every intelligence agency reported had WMDs. Thus Iraq was invaded. In my opinion, whether it would have been better let Saddam stay in power is a moot point at this time. The facts on the ground now in Iraq are that Al Qaeda is there and if the USA retreats and turns Iraq over to them, Al Qaeda will have access to Iraq’s large oil reserves and thus the means and opportunity to attack us and attack us hard. Our Middle Eastern allies will abandon us and hook up with Al Queda, not to mention the boost a withdrawal from Iraq will give to Iran, Syria and Hamas. Think WWIII, A lot of people on these posts seem think the worse of the USA, as embodied in the anti-American sermons of Rev. Wright. Further, they scoff at the threat Al Qaeda and the rest of their ilk poses to the security of the US and future of the Western World. I say stop thinking the worse of America and save a little of your vitriol for our true enemies who want to kill us all. The fact that Rev. Wright has stated that the USA and Al Qaeda are moral equivalents is disgusting and the fact Obama stayed in a church that promoted these types of anti-American beliefs is equally disgusting.

In my opinion, Hillary Clinton has little room to criticize Barack Obama for the people he associated with. She is married to one of the biggest liars and philanderers in the history of American politics — one of only two American presidents to ever be impeached and the only president to ever be disbarred by the Supreme Court. I have never once heard her disavow or even disapprove of his immoral behavior. The only reason that Hillary didn’t dump Bill was that she knew it would diminish her chances of becoming President.

Posted by: lhummer | April 30, 2008, 1:49 pm 1:49 pm

People shouldn’t make that much of who Obama’a pastor is and what he said. That doesn’t mean that Obama believes those inflamatory things that Wright said. I don’t think there is one person in this country that would agree completely with every remark and belief of their own pastors/rabbis/priests/etc. Give Obama a break and judge him for who he is (and Clinton as well)!

Shame on Hillary for lying about Bosnia and going on FOX news to attack democrats. Shame on McCain for wanting endless war and not having a clue about our economy. Obama is awesome. He will roar into office next year and the US will roar back on to the world stage as respected power and admired country again. Finally things can get done and real solutions can be found and that’s what Obama is all about. Hillary …unelectable. Al Queda wants the Republicans in power. War in Iraq has been the best terrorist recruiting tool the enemy could’ve ever hoped for. We need an intelligent president for this new world. Not liars or cold war veterans with cold war thinking.

I think that each and everyone of us have had the experience in which we thought we knew someone and then in turns out we did not know them at all. I feel bad for Obama because I have empathy for him. I think the American people need to realize that having someone turn out to be a totally different person then you thought could have happened to anyone of us. I mean just ask Hillary…but it apppears she has forgotten her own situation since she is choosing to respond from a place of judgement rather than a place of empathy. Kindness people, kindness…it could happen to you, to me, to all of us. Now let’s move on and focus on the real issus, enough with the distracting “fluff” thank you very much.

NAFTA is not politically popular with the Democratic blue collar workers who have been conned by the Democrats into believing their jobs have been lost due to NAFTA. The truth is if Obama or Hillary are elected President, everyone’s jobs will be at risk. That is because when taxes go up more money is taken out of the pockets of small businesses and they have to lay off people. Also, to avoid the higher taxes, the larger corporations will just move out of the USA and the jobs now in the USA will go overseas. The only people who benefit from higher taxes are politicians, high paid State workers and a lot of corrupt Rezco types. Than Obama or Clinton will have the power to decide who to distribute the little money that is left over to and there won’t be much. You can count on it. Face it, Obama and Clinton are into power and will do and say anything to get it. Problem is the more power they have the less the people have. At least with Obama, we are starting to see the true face of a power hungry politician via the way Obama has handled the Rev. Wrigh controversy. For twenty years Obama was very comfortable with Rev. Wright and the good Rev.’s anti-American, racist and anti-semitic beliefs. Suddenly, when the polls started to go South, Obama has a change of heart. Just not believable.

Laura: Kindness starts at home. How about a little kindness from you regarding Hillary’s decision to stick with her marriage. Neither you nor I know anything about the inner dynamics of that marriage, and as Jesus said, let “she” who has never sinned cast the first stone.
Regarding Obama and Wright, I don’t believe they were married (however, if they were, maybe you’ll let me know). In any event, the issue is Obama’s character and judgment in attending a racist church for 20 years. It doesn’t give many of us the warm fuzzies.

Posted by: James | April 30, 2008, 2:19 pm 2:19 pm

O’Reilly is blissfully oblivious of the fact that a very senior and respected American conservative has a very similar view about what brought on the catastrophe of 911 upon US.
This top US conservative even got close to becoming the Republican nominee for US presidency.
His name is Pat Buchanan.
Pat Buchanan has ever since 911 been saying that US militarism abroad is the root of terrorism Americans are experiencing at home and abroad.
And that is precisely the point of view Rev. Wright has been trying to make Americans aware of when they want to look for someone to blame for 911.
Pat Buchanan puts it very succinctly:
THEY ARE HERE; BECAUSE WE ARE THERE!.
And he is absolutely Wright!

Posted by: Aren Haich | April 30, 2008, 2:19 pm 2:19 pm

All of the news networks have turned into Tabloids. Rev. Wright is not a puppet. Obama has no control over him. As well he has no control over Obama. What saddens me is that there are Americans who are really stupid enough to keep thinking this is an issue. All the while the real issues are being ignored and the American people are continuously sold out to foreign nations. Damn folks, wake up.

it was ok when Rev Wright made those evil comments against Maerica!
Called God damn America!

and Obama listened to this man for 20 years!

Phony a liar!

He would be better off NOT doing anything!

When Rev.Wright says there is still plenty of racism in America, how can anyone disagree? A black man shot 50+ times by white cops. But I think the main proof is the media itself. Have the media scruitinzed McCain over the Keating Five or his reluctance to have a holiday for MLK? Have they even asked Hillary about Rev. Wright’s appearance at the Clinton Whitehouse or the communist law firm she clerked at. Or how about Geoff Garin, her new campaign strategist and his call for violent revolution in America when he was at Harvard. The media are the racists.

Dems come back to reality. Obama has been branded as a muslim terrorist by his own party and pastor, thus he has no chance to win in November. Clinton voted for the war in Iraq and has lost the black vote completely. The Republicans will get the Reagan Democrat vote and the Man vote. Hillary is too divisive and no one wants to see Bill Clinton getting out of Air Force One wagging his finger. McCain is the steady candidate who will not bring drama to the WH. McCain 2008.

Barrack Obama’s biggest problem is that unfortunately, most Americans are morons. There are people that sit in church, listening to what their religious leaders say and robotic-like will nod in agreement. So by THEIR logic Obama MUST have agreed with Rev. Wright. They can’t see the situation any other way. We have met the enemy and he is us.

America the Beautiful is our hope, our objective, our plan, and even our mythology. Certain citizens in our country enjoy the blessings of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, but that is not true for a great many. People act in their own self-interest whether they are legislators, judges, plumbers, bankers, or soldiers, and it is easy for the powerful and affluent to praise the existing economical environment that they enjoy
Sadly, the history of minority groups here reflects the history of minority groups in other countries. The poor and powerless are often subjected to extreme discrimination and unequal opportunities to live the good life. How can that be when we profess our love and respect for America the Beautiful and promise to uphold The Constitution?
When I pledge allegiance to the flag, I am pledging to keep the hope, strive for the realization of our founding documents, pay attention to our good deeds as well as our errors , and then act. I think that being a patriot means that a citizen actively works to make America “beautiful for all”.

I was just simply stating that people in glass houses should not throw stones. You are being very linear in your statements and not thinking abstractly at all. I am not stating the Wright and Obama were married but simply that Obama misjudged his character (similar to how Hillary misjudged Bill’s character). No I do not know the workings of their marriage, just as you do not know the ins and outs of Obama’s relationship with Wright. Just because you know someone for 20 years doesn’t mean they can’t suprise you with something that they do or say. Also, please point out where I was being unkind…to state that Hillary stayed in her marriage is a fact, to state that she may have misjudged Bill’s character is not being cruel it is only a statement to make the point that misjudging someones character could happen to anyone and she appears to have forgotten her own personal experience.

I say only fools will vote for a Democrat whose only selling point is raising taxes and putting the Nation at risk of another 9/11 if all of the Democratic policies are enacted including less ability to discover what the terrorists are up to before they attack us. As to Iraq, the USA is now in Iraq and so is Al Qaeda. If Clinton or Obama get their way and the USA is defeated in Iraq, Al Qaeda will have access to Iraq’s large oil reserves and we will have betrayed the trust of the Iraq people who are counting on us to stand by them. Not to mention what a boost a defeat in Iraq would give to Iran and Syria. Think WWIII. As to higher taxes, what makes any logical person think that higher taxes will solve any problems. The truth is the bulk of the peoples money will go into the pockets of the Federal workers, politicians and corrupt Rezco types. Than Hillary or Obama will have the power to decide how to spend what little is left over. Hillary’s or Obama’s pet projects wiil probably be given the highest priority, after all , they will be calling the shots, not the people. With less money in the private sector, there will be less investment and therefore fewer jobs. Not to mention the fact that the higher the taxes the less money there will be to retain current workers in small business and corporations and people will be laid off. So again, only a fool would vote for a Democrat unless your one of the elite politicians, Federal workers or corrupt Rezco type.

All the speculation and rancor amongst Obama and Clinton supporters over super delegates, and their role in choosing a nominee, should consider these facts.
First, there would be NO need for super delegates for ANY reason if they simply were to mimic who pledged delegates voted for. Clearly, committed super delegates DO NOT follow the pledged delegates in many state primaries.
Second point, in October, before primaries started, the picture was different than in January; and thus the picture is different in April. Super delegates of both camps are clearly improperly using their delegate positions to politically gain for their chosen candidate. Understandable, but it skews their autonomy.
Third, the fact is, many voters in early primaries cannot change their vote in April either to support Obama OR Clinton. Well publicized super delegates who were Clinton supporters were covered by media as they jumped ship to support Obama in the early primaries; but what says they can’t change again. How is that any more unfair than changing in the first place? Only the super delegates can publicly support someone in October, publicly change their mind in January and still not be committed to vote until the convention.
The super delegates JOB is to look at the complete picture, at the end of all the primaries, to decide the candidate best able to represent the party in the GENERAL election. At this point, both candidates have about a third of the super delegates as “supporters”. I would hope that the remaining super delegates withhold their support until the full contest plays out.

Dems get real. America will not vote for a black man nor a woman, it is way too controversial and extreme. The media is all white and will not accept change. The older people are the ones who vote and it is they who will put McCain into office. Wright was doing Obama a favor by getting him out of the race, he is proving his point that whites are scared of black people and will not vote for a black guy even if he smart. Hillary will not win because she has to act like a man. McCain outmans Hillary.

How many of the members of churches which turned out to have pastors/priests who preyed on children know the real story? Since when does one’s pastor’s foolishness reflect on one’s own character? Why can’t we look at the man himself and the choices he has made to decide whether he should be president? And I don’t mean his “choice” of pastor do you conduct an in-depth evaluation of the pastor before you decide to join a church?

There is nothing ABC news can do to stop Sen. Clinton from becoming President. About three years ago a well known televangelist, Perry Stone Jr., told his congregation that God spoke to him and said Sen. Clinton will be the next President. This information can be obtained from one of his published works on CD entitled “Strange Patterns of Recent American Presidents.” On track 7 of this CD, he tells us that Sen. Clinton will once again be in the White House. So give it up ABC News. And Barack, your days are numbered.

In all likelihood I’ll be voting for Senator Obama, should he receive the nomination. If Senator Clinton receives the nomination, I’ll once again be voting for no one. The reason is simple. Senator Obama at least holds out the hope of change, of something different. Senator Clinton is simply the latest wrapper on the same stale product that the political machine has been offering for years. You know what you’re getting with Hillary. Not much of anything new, not much of anything different, not much of anything.

I believe it’s about time that Obama strongly denounces his candidacy.

Posted by: Mack | April 30, 2008, 3:00 pm 3:00 pm

Obama indeed does have a glass jaw.
This does not bode well for Dems in the general election.
His handling of this entire mess was poor. It reflects his inexperience with the real world of politics. Friends turn on you in a second if you insult them.
I expect Wright, the smart man he is, to continue to speak but to not be foolish enough to fall for the FxNews trap of getting him to say more about Obama. Wright, to me, looks like a better man (notwithstanding his conspiracy theories) than Obama, who tossed his “spritual advisor” and virtual family member under the bus when he needed to.
No to say any other politician wouldn’t have done the same, but it seems clear to me and to all that Obama is just another politician of the “old politics.” Ironic.

I think Obama needs to give a speech on speeches. Perhaps that way he can get rid of the certin asterisk next to his “critically acclaimed speech on race” stating that 3 weeks later, he did in fact disown his pastor – and I guess he’ll also have to disown his granny (if she survived being thrown under the bus 3 weeks ago).

Why would we have to sit through a CD boxset of his sermons when he gave a nice recap on his hateful beliefs last weekend?

Posted by: Mack | April 30, 2008, 3:14 pm 3:14 pm

When you read the postings here it shows just what I’m saying about most Americans are idiots. If Obama is so unelectable, why does he have more delegates and popular votes?

Posted by: Bill | April 30, 2008, 3:17 pm 3:17 pm

Hey Mack, you don’t have to sit through a boxful of sermons, political opponents of Obama already have. That is why everyone has heard the offensive sermons already. The thing is, 30 seconds is all they could find to show everyone trying to make Obama look bad. If there were any more I gaurantee you everyone would have heard them 100 times by now. But ther isn’t. 30 seconds. That’s it. And of course the fools and haters want to make those 30 seconds into 20 years and make it appear as if Obama was attending a hate church. Lies.

For Hillary to go on Fox News after what they’ve said about not only her husband and herself, but her daughter, shows you what type of person she is.

Posted by: Bill | April 30, 2008, 3:30 pm 3:30 pm

Just as I thought, O’Reilly wussed out. The only thing that’s outrageous and offensive is Hillary Clinton trying to smear Obama with the things his pastor says. Wright has a right to his opinion and just because Obama is a church member doesn’t necessarily mean he agrees with everything that Wright says. Clinton is running a DIRTY campaign and frankly, I’m tired of her constant whining about Obama’s pastor. She’s a proven liar. PERIOD! She will stop at nothing to get the nomination. Guess what people…she won’t get it on my vote.

Sen. Obama is engulfed in Drama he has no time to deal with the “Typical” American and their problems. If Sen. Obama was conscientious about how offensive his language, his wifes, and his Reverends were to the “Typical” American he would drop out of this race. He is dividing the country along racial lines and party lines. Do we really need to be looking like one of those countries we see on TV breaking out in war over elections? Well, thanks to Obama were well on our way to that. I pray this is over soon and all Odramakins go back to the hole they crawled out, of we don’t need this for America.

It’s a very sad statement indeed that our Presidential campaign has been demeaned and derailed at this point. At the beginning of this Presidential election cycle, the problems that people most wanted to have addressed were Iraq, Afghanistan, terrorism, economy, health care, etc. Now it’s come down to this stupid topic: Where does HRC stand on Wright? Well, you know what. Who really cares? It’s obvious what she would say, even if she hadn’t been asked. It’s obvious that she would be offended, because that’s what all of these crappy candidates say now when anything comes up. The whole lot of these jokers need to just get out of the race. They never talk about any issues that really matter. After the election, nobody is going to care one little bit about who Rev. Wright is. And the fact that we’ve spent more cycles talking about this stupid topic than talking about real issues typifies the state of Presidential politics today. Rather than actually hearing what candidates actually stand for, we’re forced to endure a non-stop parade of tricks and he-said / she-said type of things. We’re forced to hearing the candidates constantly promising things that we know that they can’t deliver, simply because they want to promise more than the other candidate. Honestly, at some point, is there a single candidate out there who will actually once again be able to get their issues into the light. If even one candidate would step forward and decide to talk about issues, I’d be willing to vote for him / her. Can we please get back to the adult business of running the country? Can we please throw away the Jerry Springer mentality?

We need to rise above Jeremial Wright. It’s all politics. Get over it guys, we need to move forward. Hilary said she was sorry about sniper fire, people should accept what Obama said about his pastor and move on. Don’t Hillary know by now that she is not going to get the nomination? Honestly, she should stop the damaging, she is not helping her party at all. She is very selfish. She needs to soften herself now, she has done enough damage to her party. Democrats knows that, and she is still doing it. Enough is enough, we need to beat McCain. Please let’s American move on, all these distractions is what the republican need to cover their ass about bad economy. Please guys, open your eyes and stop fighting. We are all democrats. Republicans are enjoying the free ride. We are Christain and Christain is to forgive and forget, if not we would not be able to move on. Stop listning to fox and o’reiley and poeple of distractions on the news. Let’s take good care of our beloved country and bring her back to life. OK, I’ve read all the above comments and everyone has some point to make.
No one is perfect and in fact, jiva souls ALL have four defects: to be in illusion, to have the propensity to cheat, to have imperfect senses & mind, and to have the tendency to make mistakes.
Each of these four defects can easily be magnified if one is seeking power or position, or is actually in a position of power over others.
It IS the material world, certainly not the be-all and end-all of life, since we are spiritual beings and our real home is not these temporary bodies in the physical world, but a spiritual body in some one of the unlimited spiritual realms performing service in love to one of the unlimited expansions of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, if not directly to Him, Himself.
It is pointless to fight over spiritual paths, since the Supreme Lord says in the Bhagavadgita that “everyone follows My path in all respects, O Scion of Bharata”.
It’s just that some paths take longer than others, depending on how spiritually-evolved a soul has become throughout his wanderings in the trillions of births he must take in this realm in order to become perfected in divine loving service, through the pain and punishments of his mistakes.
So we and our politicians are all in the same boat with these defects. It is useless to point out the faults of others, it is necessary only to discriminate dispassionately in order to conscionably vote for the one whom we feel to hold our best interests at heart. Also, everyone has good qualities, that under proper management and reasonable states of health and encouragement can be utilized for good.
I personally would vote for Ron Paul, though I am registered as a Democrat just to avoid another “Bush” debacle.(Real Republicans have not been surfacing.)
I feel Ron Paul has the most personal integrity and sound ideas for solutions for our sanity, economics and happiness, and they most clearly resonate to my own.
If Obama gets the nomination, I shall change my registration to Republican or Independent and vote for Ron Paul.
If Hillary Clinton gets the nomination I shall vote for her. I hope she does get it, because voting for Ron Paul will probably be a vote for McCain.
One reason I shall vote for Hillary is because I feel good about her, regardless if she has lied, stretched truth, evaded issues, paid for underhanded schemes, etc – because they ALL DO THAT.
Except for Ron Paul. He is above the rest. He has the courage of his convictions and is steadfast in fortitude and compassion for others.
Hillary is a mother. Mothers tend to be more mature than others because giving birth to a helpless child who is totally dependent on one forces one to grow out of any self-centered attitudes about almost anything.
Mothers also see others as their child, with an attitude of compassion. It is a natural phenomenon.
I have seen over time that despite any awkwardness, dishonesty or shady dealings politically, of all candidates available [other than Ron Paul] Hillary Clinton DOES care about the welfare of everyone, and she has the courage to stand up against almost anything in order to speak for and implement the policies that she feels will work – from being around politicians and the governmental process over time – and she has a definite feel for how to navigate that world. One cannot be inexperienced in that world or naive in that world and follow through with one’s prerogatives in that world.
Rhetoric definitely doesn’t make it.
I join with all those above who have railed against how the news media makes a big deal of personal issues that actually don’t matter in the face of how we all are anyway. I so wholeheartedly wish that those in charge of directing communication to the voting public about the candidates could have the intelligence and fortitude to bring out the actual ideas of the candidates not just on the issues we are facing, but also for them to speak more freely on their own ideas about the political process and the difficulties that one faces when taking a responsible position of power in this country. It is important that each candidate communicate in a real way how they would defend our human rights under the great and powerful U.S. Constitution that has not only kept the U.S. intact for over 200 years, but also been the instrument of monumental growth of our people, our economy and our progressive spirit of pioneering new and better ways of life and production.
I am hopeful that the demons that have been in power for the past 7.5 years have not mutilated it beyond repair.
I am not sure about Barack Obama’s character, I have seen evidence of very much truthlessness and conniving on his part to win for himself the fame of the Presidency of the United States of America, as a “first”.
It is natural, of course, that, given his high education and his experience as a person of a minority that has been heavily and mercilessly discriminated against that he would also want to have a hand in redoing things in our country, and I see that he has made some extremely impressive speeches (recalling other great men in our recent history). I doubt, though, that a lot of the points he has made were entirely his, and even if so, I see that he tends more toward the socialist idea, the idea of a government that controls how the states operate, and tries to be big daddy for all, [and other than a divinely spiritual king of the land who takes seriously the absolute welfare of all subjects under
an organized system that keeps absolute integrity over the human rights of the subjects], I feel that the incentives for persons to grow, serve, thrive and progress lies in the direction of small businesses not having to compete with corporations [that are most always corrupt]. Health care also should be organized such that physicians would not be tempted by profits from the pharma companies or controlled by large organizations and their policies, and that indicates a less-centralized system of health care dispensation and availability. Also, education should be governed in a less-centralized way, as localities vary in their needs, aims, culture and available skills. I strongly feel that much more money needs to be available for education in all areas if our country is to thrive under the next few generations.
It seems that there is too-large of a percentage of young people who aren’t presently showing much respect for how things are going in their experience and are therefore becoming attracted to items of degradation.
We need a President who can help restore clean ideals and programs that can help get the country – and the youth – back on its feet.
Therefore I fervently, fervently hope that Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, because, of anyone other than Ron Paul who is up to taking it on, she is one who can probably do a lot.

UTICA — When the Rev. William Procanick put his hand on the Bible during his sex-abuse trial in Oneida County Court earlier this year, he swore to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
But as the former Clinton pastor was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl at his home last March, Judge Michael L. Dwyer said Procanick sacrificed his honesty the day he testified.
“As a minister of God, you got on the stand and you lied,” Dwyer told Procanick, the 54-year-old former pastor of Resurrection Assembly of God church on Kirkland Avenue.

FAIRSUPERDELEGATES08: Let me help you.
Ever since the Wright issue exploded, Obama supporters have tried desperately to link Senator Clinton with an unsavory pastor, to blunt criticism of Obama. All three of these alleged relationships have been debunked. Here is info on them:
REV. SNYDER IS NOT HILLARY’S PASTOR: There is information circulating on the Internet that Sen. Clinton’s pastor, Rev. Snyder, has written a letter in support of Rev. Wright. Sen. Clinton, however, has never attended Rev. Snyder’s church. Asked about this, Sen. Clinton said, “Let me set the record straight. Number one, I have not attended or even visited Foundry Church since 2001. I don’t know Rev. Snyder, but I certainly respect his right to express his opinion.” Rev. Snyder became pastor of Foundry United Methodist Church in 2002, one full year after the Clintons left the White House at the end of Bill Clinton’s second term. She has not chosen a new church home in New York she told The Trotter Group, preferring instead to visit various churches throughout the state to get a chance to meet a broad cross-section of her constituents. The Clintons maintain their official membership in the First United Methodist Church in Little Rock, she said.
REV. WILLIAM PROCANICK WAS NOT HILLARY’S PASTOR: Plenty of misinformation is spread by the Internet. For example, the Rev. William Procanick of Resurrection Assembly of God in Clinton, N.Y., was convicted of child-molesting. News reports said “former Clinton pastor sentenced.” Quickly, erroneous cyberland items said Bill and Hillary Clinton denounced Democratic campaign rival Barack Obama for actions by his former pastor, while their own former pastor was worse. Good grief. The New York preacher had no connection to the Clintons. His church was located in the city of Clinton, New York. This silly online mistake probably will be distributed thousands of times by folks who don’t know it’s untrue.
DOUGLAS COE IS NOT HILLARY’S PASTOR: NBC News Exclusive: Political ties to a secretive religious group — Posted on Thursday, April 03, 2008 7:10 PM PT — By Andrea Mitchell and Jim Popkin, NBC News –
For more than 50 years, the National Prayer Breakfast has been a Washington institution. Every president has attended the breakfast since Eisenhower, elbow-to-elbow with Democrats and Republicans alike. “I am really proud to carry on that tradition,” President Bush said at this year’s breakfast. “The people in this room come from many different walks of faith. Yet we share one clear conviction: We believe that the Almighty hears our prayers — and answers those who seek Him.”
Besides the presidents and first ladies–Bill and Hillary Clinton attended in 1997–the one constant presence at the National Prayer Breakfast has been Douglas Coe. Although he’s not an ordained minister, the 79-year-old Coe is the most important religious leader you’ve never seen or heard.
But Doug Coe is well known to scores of senators in both parties–and many faiths–including Sam Brownback, Mike Enzi, Mark Pryor and Bill Nelson. They go to small weekly Senate prayer groups that Coe attends. Participants tell NBC News that so have senators John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, which those campaigns confirm. Asked about Coe’s influence on Hillary Clinton, people close to her told NBC News that she does not consider him one of her leading spiritual advisors. They added that Senator Clinton has never contributed to Coe’s group, is not a member of The Fellowship and has never heard the sermons obtained by NBC News. And, they said, Doug Coe is not Hillary Clinton’s minister.

I agree Daisy of ILL!!!!!! They need to stop with this soap opera drama and start talking about solutions!

Posted by: Justme | April 30, 2008, 5:36 pm 5:36 pm

Supply and demand are responsible for high gas prices. China and the rest of the world are demanding more oil and competing with the US for the oil, thus the prices are going up and to add to the problem OPEC is controlling the supply. So what is the Democrats solution? Alternative energy like biofuel that is causing food prices to go sky high. Opps. What about battery operated vehicles, oh at this point in time the cost to produce causing more CO2 than gasoline engines and the damage to the environment when disposing of the batteries is very high. In other words, for next ten years or so, gasoline is here to stay and the Democrats are the problem, not the solution. The solution is for the US to go after its own oil by drilling in Alaska, etc. and giving the world the message that the US will no longer be dependent on the Middle East. Obama and Clinton are both against this. The only hope is for the GOP to win Congress and the White house and then maybe some common sense will prevail and the US will be allowed to benefit from our own oil and prices will go down. So will food prices by the way.

FINALLY, I AGREE WITH SOMETHING REV. WRIGHT SAID: “Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls,” Wright told the Press Club. “Preachers say what they say because they’re pastors. . . . I do what pastors do. [Obama] does what politicians do.” A few days earlier, in an interview with PBS’s Bill Moyers, Wright said Obama, in his Philadelphia speech attempting to calm the controversy created by Wright’s sermons, had said “what he has to say as a politician.”
That, not Wright’s wide-ranging social theories, is what forced Obama to denounce Wright at a hastily arranged news conference Tuesday. By questioning Obama’s honesty, Wright was striking at the heart of the Obama campaign. The most damaging thing Wright could ever say is that he knows, based on his long personal relationship with Obama, that Obama agrees with him but can’t say so publicly for political reasons. Put another way, if voters believe that Obama fundamentally rejects Wright’s views, they might question Obama’s judgment in remaining close to Wright for 20 years. But if voters believe that Obama secretly agrees with Wright but is putting on another face to win an election, then all is lost. “People could ask why somebody with good judgment would take so long to do this,” a Democratic strategist told me Monday night. “But that’s certainly better than the subtext being that Obama is an angry black man, because if he’s an angry black man, then he simply cannot win, period.”
That is why Obama had to act quickly, before the Wright affair could do any more damage. “If what somebody says contradicts what you believe so fundamentally, and then he questions whether or not you believe it in front of the National Press Club, then that’s enough,” Obama told reporters in North Carolina. “That’s a show of disrespect to me. It’s also, I think, an insult to what we’ve been trying to do in this campaign.”
But as definitive as Obama seemed, there are still questions about his relationship with Wright. Anyone watching Wright in the last few days has seen how fluidly he moved from his theories about the United States to theories about terrorism to theories about racial differences, and education, and music, and much, much more. Is it really plausible for Obama to say that he did not hear a steady stream of such stuff coming from Wright’s pulpit in the last 20 years? The fact that Obama is such a long-time member of Wright’s church makes it reasonable to suspect that Obama found a lot to agree with in what Wright preached.

PUT UNDER THE FILE; OBAMA HAD NO IDEA HIS PASTOR WAS CONTROVERSIAL: CNN: April 30, 2008 — Perhaps onlookers were surprised by Obama’s harsh words when he denounced Rev. Wright, but Wright predicted such an outcome in an interview in The New York Times more than a year ago. “If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” he said in April 2007. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said, ‘Yeah, that might have to happen.’ “

OBAMA HAS BEEN CAUGHT AGAIN IN HIS DECEPTIVE POLITICAL ADS: Fact Check: Obama and the gas taxes. SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Democratic Sen. Barack Obama accuses his presidential rivals of pandering to voters by supporting the “gimmick” of temporarily lifting federal taxes on gasoline, despite his own past support for a similar tax holiday. As a state legislator voting for a tax break, Obama even joked that he wanted signs on gas pumps telling motorists that he was responsible for lowering prices. Most experts criticize the idea of a federal tax suspension, but Obama’s political opponents accuse him of flip-flopping and ignoring the financial pain caused by today’s rising gas prices. THE FACTS: In 2000, gasoline prices were climbing quickly, reaching $2 a gallon in the Chicago area — a remarkable price back then. Illinois legislators scrambled to offer some election-year relief to angry motorists. Obama voted three times for a tax holiday. The version that ended up becoming law required a six-month suspension of the state’s share of the sales tax on gasoline, a 5 percent tax paid directly by consumers rather than gas stations. It also required gas stations to post signs on their pumps saying that the Illinois General Assembly had lowered taxes and the price should reflect that cut.

Angie, its “you should know better” not “no better”. Any way I agree with your basic point. Doubt the Obama fanatics will see the light however as they are blinded by Obama’s siren call for the “change” and “hope”. Just hope we don’t all crash into the rocks if Obama gets elected as there is no there there only the empty words of a man with little or no judgment and very questionable character.
“Lets see Obama’s Pastor, Mentor, “Uncle” for twenty years. Obama’s children sitting in the pews of Wright’s church as he spews his hate speech against America, whites and Jews. Obama defending Wright until the polls he took took a down turn the night before his speech yesterday throwing Wright under the bus. Sorry, leche, there is no comparison and you should no better.”

Simpson: Don’t forget the church’s children being exposed to the spectacle of Rev. Wright humping a fake Monica Lewinsky in order to denigrate Bill Clinton. That was one of the more classy acts of Obama’s 20 year “mentor and spiritual adviser.”

Its funny Hillary would have left the church, but she did not leave her husband when he committed adultry in the White House. Barack said he has been a member of the Church for 20 years, he did not say he went to every singel service for 20 years. He has denounced the reverend, lets move over to more important things, the people protesting so much over this were not going to vote for Obama anyway, people who have a mind of their own will not based their decision of who to vote for based on what someones pastor says.

Hillary Clinton defers to the voter on the topic of Reverend Wright, because when Hillary & Bill Clinton founded their own college, they sifted through 40, 000 applicants, all to the left of the Rev. Wright. The faculty sets the tone at any university, and the Clintons picks from the radical fringe insured that theirs would be a fitting tribute to virulent anti-Americanism. The term “extremist” is often used with reference to those who use or advocate “violence” against the will of “society at large”, but it is also used by some to describe those who advocate or use “violence” to enforce the will of the social body, such as a government or majority constituency.
The act of labeling a person, group or action as “extremist” is sometimes claimed to be a technique to further a political goal — especially by governments seeking to defend the status quo, or “political centrists”. In any event, the term “extremist” — like the word “violence” — cannot be regarded as “value-neutral”.
Clinton campaign has trying to portrait Senator Obama as an extremist, Senator obama does not advocate or uses violence to enforce the will ofcitizen.
however this political technique or strategy sure benefits the media to the price of loss of votes for senator OBAMA

Rev. Wright baptized Obama’s second daughter in 2001 the same year Rev. Wright ripped America apart with “God Damn America”. Obama is like putting the Trojan “gift” horse in the White House (scary). Obama is a settler, meaning he will settle than go for number 1 or right choice. One minute he is muslim, than atheist, but settles with crazy Rev. Wright? Obama lies and says he doesn’t smoke, but chews Nicorette gum like it’s going to be discontinued. Obama goes from Honolulu, Indonesia, back to Honolulu but then settles in Illinois? Leopard’s don’t change their spots! In 1990 gas was $1.34 a gallon dropped in 1999 to $1.22, I want my comfortable lifestyle back and HILLARY CLINTON I KNOW WILL DO IT. I want a Cadillac not some Ford Pinto, I want leather shoes, not canvas, I want dockers, not stretchy’s from Thrift second hand store. I want Hillary Clinton, not some unknown with pipe dreams and fanasy hopes. I want the solutions for America THE CLINTON’S

I’m sorry. I wasn’t going to comment, but reading some of what people have said I have to. Several people have said things like “If he can’t even choose a good pastor, how can he run the US,” or “If he can’t even control his own pastor how can he stare down North Korea, etc.?” SERIOUSLY?!? That’s the argument you’re going to go with to support Hillary Clinton. The woman who apparently couldn’t even pick an honest, trustworthy husband. He cheated on her numerous times, and while holding the highest office in the land, and she has been with him for 33 years! I’d say a marriage is a lot more important than choosing a pastor. Now, I don’t really agree that either issue is important with either of these candidates. We need to move past all this absolute nonsense and quit trying to pull one another down. History will not judge this Democratic bickering and fighting well.

Actually I think Hillary used the same adjectives as Obama to describe Rev Wright’s teachings and sermons and latest comments (which were an expansion of his earlier soundbites)
This is still America….and she feels the same way many people both Black and White feel. You have to remember that Hillary was one of the first to denounce the Imus (along with Obama later)…She is speaking for a large number of her constituents who would have left the church or never joined it to begin with.
I just think obama is being cautious because he doesn’t want to lose the Black Panther, Farrakan and Hamas endorsements…oh yeah and Jimmy Carter…who would no doubt be a roving ambassador in an Obama administration.

Posted by: Jackie | April 30, 2008, 8:30 pm 8:30 pm

PS I have attended Black churches (Baptist) in Texas and Louisiana….I am friends with a Black minister (Lutherne)….I do not believe that Wright speaks for the “Black” church. His views are outside the mainstream in MOST Black churches….they are taken from “Black Liberation Theology” and Farrakan’s strange religion that depends on “victimization” and vilifies whites and in particular Jews.
The odd thing is that Jewish intellectuals were very much in the forefront of the Civil Rights movement and sometimes even sacrificed their lives for the cause.
I do not believe that this whole issue is about race at all….and Obama’s “race” speech in no way addressed it. It’s JUDGEMENT that Obama lacks.

Obama is going to prison. Obama is going to Prison. Obama is going to prison.
Obama laundered $112,000.00 thru his law firm as an Illinois State Senator.
The Los Angeles Times article reports Illinois State Senator Obama laundered money $112,000 salary Obama received from a political supporter Robert Blackwell through Obama’s law firm to hide the fact it came from Robert Blackwell who received political monetary favors from Obama totaling $320,000 in Illinois State Grants. Obama committed an illegal crime of money laundering and has a punishment of prison time. Obama supporters, the DNC and Super-delegates. Obama will eventually be indicted and charged with this crime and others. The DNC, Obama supporters and Super-delegates are giving the election to McCain if Obama is the Democratic Nominee for President. It’s time for Obama to quit the race for President before he gets arrested and goes to prison.. The people of the Democratic Party, the DNC and Super-delegates need to unite, vote and support Hillary Clinton for President. Go to Hillary Clinton’s web page read her speeches and solutions for real changes that will benefit all American’s. Make donations of your time, phone calls, go door to door and give money generously to her campaign. Hillary has solutions for real substantial changes that will benefit all the people of the USA. The real Obama is a con man, racist, terrorist supporter, radicaIslamic extremeist supporter and criminal. Once this money laundering scam of Obama’s picks up a head of steam in the TV and Radio media, Obama will be the one who has to quit and withdraw his name from the race for the nomination for President. He will be indicted charged and convicted. This ought to give the Republicans more fodder for the general election. O golly gee Obama will be taken off in handcuffs what pretty sight for the DNC and Democrats. The Republicans will be dancing in the streets. Oh Yeah. We Democrats better get used to Obama behind bars in a state penitentiary now. We Democrats and the DNC need to unite and make Hillary our Democratic Nominee for President before it’s too late or McCain will be the next President. OUCH that will really hurt American’s pocket books, jobs, education and war will reign supreme for greed of money and power for the few. Obama supporters it time to abandon Obama or suffer the consequences of Obama’s criminal deeds with Obama.

The debates and primaries are for show casing the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and their solutions for issues for the voters. The debates and the primaries are for the people so they can make an informed decision and vote for who is the best candidate who demonstrates Presidential qualities, experience, able to answer question easily with real substance and to the point, support the plans and solutions for issues that will benefit the people not the elitist aristocracy or hidden radical agendas. Obama refuses to do any more debates because he is a sore loser he performed miserably by not answering the questions with straight forward to the point answers and lost all of the debates. Obama is scared that his elitist beliefs and attitudes towards the people of the USA and his disrespect and hate of the USA and its people will be completely exposed. Obama is scared that his true greedy desires in obtaining power and money will be completely exposed. Late breaking news Illinois Senator Obama laundered money (person income) from Blackwell through his the lawyer firm he worked for prior to his being elected to the Illinois Senate. Blackwell who received political favors from Obama and Obama received donations for campaigns and hidden personal income. Obama will be indicted for these criminal actions. Obama is scared his actions, lack of action and very questionable associates clearly demonstrate Obama’s true intentions and agendas. Obama is scared that all the negative things Obama has accused Hillary of doing and saying in this campaign are actually the very actions and things Obama has been doing and saying not Hillary. Obama is scared his lack of confidence and inexperience will be completely exposed. Another very important reason Obama is scared and will not debate is Obama can’t remember all the lies he has told during his campaign. Here are 76 lies and counting that Obama has told us at http://www.audacityofhypocrisy.com/?page_id=15 Find more lies told by Obama at http://www.hillaryclinton.com Click on the icon Fact Check. If Obama loses the Democratic Nomination for President his supporters say they will riot in the streets. Obama supporters want to turn the USA into third world countries like Kenya and Zimbabwe. Rioting in the streets because, Obama has been exposed as a spoiled brat; weak, wimpy, arrogant, elitist, inexperienced, corrupt, racist and radical to the extremes are character traits, beliefs and actions of Obama that will cause him to lose this race for the President of the USA. Rioting in the streets is very immature and stupid like Odinga, Obama’s cousin who incited riots and death squads in Kenya. Mugabe did the same in Zimbabwe because he is a mentally challenged immature violent sore loser like Odinga. The USA is a country that provides many freedoms for its people example: right of free speech and the right to vote as we please. Be smart make an informed decision and vote for the most qualified and experienced candidate for President of the USA Hillary Clinton who respects the people, who listens to the people, has compassion for the people of the USA. Hillary will fix the economy and fight for the people of the USA by creating solutions for real changes that benefits all the people of the USA. Hillary will unite the people of the USA, restore the US Constitution and win back the respect of our people and the respect for our government of the USA world wide. Hillary has real substantial solutions for real changes that make sense and will help all of us. Go to Hillary’s web site and explore it http://www.hillaryclinton.com Look at Hillary’s detailed solutions for real changes on the economy, healthcare, education, veterans benefits, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Rev Wright and Obama’s Brand of Black Liberation Theology!
Rev. Wright believes in and preaches black liberation theology. His church scrubbed the web site for offensive materials in an effort to conceal their true nature. Here are a few quotes from a founder of black liberation theology (and Rev. Wright’s theological mentor), Rev. James Cone, about Obama’s religion: (1) “To be Christian is to be one of those whom God has chosen. God has chosen black people.” (2) “While it is true that blacks do hate whites, black hatred is not racism.” (3) “All white men are responsible for white oppression.” (4) “Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man “the devil.” (5) “If there is any contemporary meaning of the Antichrist, the white church seems to be a manifestation of it.” (6) “Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.” Now, if you don’t think that the statements above are racist, then you and I can agree to disagree. The real issue is that Americans in general need to know about the racist nature of Obama’s religion, because it goes to the heart of his character and judgment. Then, once America understands this issue, if they agree with the racist bent of his church, so be it. I have a feeling, however, that once people find out about this issue, he will be losing supporters by the droves. If it doesn’t happen now, it will in the general election if, God forbid, he is the Democratic nominee and he chooses Rev. Wright for Vice President.

I agree that Rev. Wright’s comments were offensive, everyone agrees on that. What do you call Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Bosnia-Sniper-Dodging-Fire, the lie about bringing healthcare to children when that bill S-chip passed both houses (Senate and Congress) even before Hillary became first lady?
What do you call the fact that she (Hillary Rodham Clinton) voted to make it impossible for poor or working class people to file for bankruptcy because she took money from those companies. Yet she claims to be for working class people. Liar!
What do you call the fact that she claims not to support NAFTA, yet she campaigned vigorously to pass NAFTA?
What do you call the fact the like NAFTA, Hillary R. Clinton claims not to support Colombia free trade, yet her husband made $800,000.00 from Colombia and her campaign chief strategist made $300,000.00 from same Colombia? Why don’t we ask her how she could benefit from this $800,000.00 and yet be against that free trade? Who is fooling whom?
What do you call the fact that she lies about everything just to get elected? Husband and wife who want to be president and know how to lie and also know how to pretend to care about people when in their heart they don’t care.
She claims to be the working class lady who knows the working class folks, yet she could not operate an ordinary coffee machine. Who is lying now to get votes, eeh? I ask who is lying to the American people.
She gets free of all these blunders because Sen. Obama decided from beginning not to criticize her. Sen. Obama is a different kind of politician. Unfortunately, the word politician now means a bad thing because we are told that the definition of ‘is’ is not actually is unless the Clintons tell us what is means. Unfortunately, Americans believe those two.

Hillary Rodham Clinton plays race against race. She used Latinos to get votes from California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas (states with Latinos population).
She then ‘dissed’ the Latinos by removing Ms. Solis Doyle and claimed that Ms. Solis removed herself. It is impossible for anyone to opt for a smaller job from a bigger one.
She then installed a black woman because she thought she would get black votes.
Now, Hillary Rodham Clinton has turned over to whites and began to make Sen. Obama a black candidate instead of a candidate who happens to be black. IN FACT SEN. OBAMA IS NOT JUST BLACK, HE IS 50% WHITE AND 50% BLACK. He is just magnanimous to claim only black when others like him don’t.
HILLARY just plays the race card.

Clinton supporters are idiots and wasting party time and money, math never lies to you, if you just assume clinton wins all remaining with ave. 55-45 including florida and michigan, obama will reach magic number but she does not. here is the math
total delagates including mich and fl.
635
obama gets only 45% = 285
1740+ 285= 2025
Clinton knows that but she is lying and gives empty hope to supporters which hurts party and wastes people time and money.

Kevin: Why are you assuming numbers in a mathematical equation? Clinton knows full well that she has a chance to win in IN, WV, and KY. She can win BIG in WV, and KY. As the race goes on YOUR party is starting to realize some of Obama’s weaknesses and that IS RELEVANT to the election process. Why would she drop out when she is getting ALL of the swing votes?? For you to attack your own party and call them idiots speaks volumes of why people are getting fed up with Democrats. YOUR party made rules…rules that you’d like to throw out the window and ignore. The mathmatical truth is that Obama cannot get to the number WITHOUT the superdelegates, just like Clinton. The Obama bias I read in here sometimes makes me sick. When did people stop thinking for themselves? Look out side the bubble Dems, there are other parties that just aren’t buying the Obama ” experience theory”

I hear people saying this is getting old, but what has still not been addressed is Obama’s lies. This is the man Obama claimed as his second father. This is the man who, up until the press got wind of his antics, Obama claimed as his primary advisor. This is the man who continues to attack white America. But Obama continues to claim he has “never” heard any of these sermons, or any of his racist attacks. If Obama will lie about something this insignificant, what are the big things he is lying about???

You dont try to reconcile by being confrontational instead you will be fueling hate and disharmony and I think that’s what got everybody mad including most blacks and I tell you this because I live and work in a relatively black’s district.

The real Obama is a con man, racist, terrorist supporter, radical Islamic extremeist supporter and criminal.

Why everyone is blowing this out of proportion is beyond me. Obama is the one running for President not the Rev.I don’t view the Rev as offensive he was preaching citing wrongs comparing things to bibical verse. That is what preachers do. They are not always right, but they do bring people closer to God. I think people need to be more open-minded of other religions. If that isn’t their style of religion, fine worship in your own way. But I don’t think it is right to allow anything about the Rev to effect your opinion about Obama. They are two different people and I don’t think Obama is the type to let a church rule through him. He seems to have his own ideas. So everyone needs to just get back to the real issues of the canidates. The ones that will effect America.

She said she wouldn’t have stayed in that church. I wouldn’t have either-would you.

Several things come to mind with this article:
—-
O’Reilly: “Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?”
Can you believe Walter Cronkite asking a question like that?
We no longer have newsmen. We have media mouths pushing an agenda.
—-
“for Pastor Wright to have given his first sermon after 9/11 and to have blamed the United States for the attack” — excuse me, but didn’t other religious leaders blame the attack on gays in the U.S., and other leaders blamed the attack on the U.S. attitude and actions towards other countries and governments?
—-
I have attended AME and United Church of Christ Black churches (I am not Black). And I HAVE heard things like this in those churches (and I don’t mean just the little sound-bites that we hear over and over again).
I understand the Reverand’s viewpoint. Is is extreme, especially concerning his statements concerning A.I.D.S. — but considering the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment I can even understand that extreme statement.
—-
Now, can we actually discuss something that really relates to the election?

It is incredible to me that someone posted that the church gossip is the only thing we KNOW about Obama, so therefore he has lost. Are you KIDDING? Do you have your HEAD IN THE SAND? Obama expressed himself over and over, wrote a biography, and you can look him up on the internet as well as go to his web site to learn his stand on the issues. Unless you JUST DON’T WANT TO KNOW, and just want to believe what you WANT to believe, which is a negative. So, do us all a favor and crawl back into the woodwork or under the rocks where you can hide your eyes and pretend others can’t see you.

Hillary Clinton should be very careful about being “outraged” with anyone…do any of you recall her stealing antique silverware from the white house when she and willy left..to ferret off to her Camelot in Chappaqua..and then when she got caught… tried to say it was a mistake?…and she wants us to trust her to be president?..I don’t think so…

Has anyone ever seen her when she knows the cameras aren’t on her?..I have…and you wouldn’t like it…like Jekyll and Hyde…you think Bush is arrogant?…

Why is the news media blaming Obama for the pastor’s comments? Why have they news media visited Hillary & Bills’ church and talk to the people associated with an impeached President, an adultery President, an investigated Hillary for possibly crime related activities? I have seen many presidential campaign and not until this Black man ran have I heard of the news media and the public become concern about someone pastor. This is double standard. Where did commuting a furgitive from justice get lost in the new media? Mr. Obama has never been investigated for crime related issues, but I guess this is not news worthy.

Until Rev Wright crawled out from under his rock I hadn’t heard this kind of trash since the 60′s. It is simply outrageous to even think this kind of thinking is festering behind closed doors in the name of the “Lord Almighty”. I may not have the purest of friends myself but none of them come anywhere close to Wright’s expressions of hatred for another race or government like him. I wouldn’t sit or stand for one moment, let alone 20 years, & listen to his trash talk. Now being put in the spot light Obama uses his selective memory & selectively cuts Wright off at the knees. Who’s next? Denounce all he wants, he has experience, 20 years experience in listening to Wright’s garbage instead of what really matters to the spirit & the mind in his house of the Lord. Yah, he has experience alright, just look at his bedfellows. It is kind of like we are what we eat, we are no better than the company we keep, we are what we worship. Don’t be fooled, Obama didn’t stand up when the lion roared, he hid until another day, then it was too little too late. Can’t possiably believe that his lame explanation is going to make it all go away, I want to hear more, I want the real Obama to sign in please.

McCain is going to be the next president. Why? Well because Hillary is a liar who is pandering to the very same republican right wing conspirators that she claimed were out to get her and her husband. She and Bill’s true colors came out during this election so she can hang it up with the black vote, SHE IS FINISHED. White people were never going to vote for Obama anyway because of RACIST WHITE AMERICA. If you don’t believe America isn’t racist just ask any non-white person in America. I dont agree with Rev Wright, but whenever race in America is talked about White America tries to act like it doesn’t exist. It’s like someone who farts in an elevator and you are looking at each other like “It wasn’t me”. There are two Americas black and white and they will NEVER be united by white people because white people only understand what they want to understand about people of color. HIP HIP HOORAY FOR McCain!!!! We will see the deficits widen because more Depends adult diapers will be needed for the White House from 2008-2012!!!!

No, this is not getting old; and all of you Obama followers can not sweep this one under the carpet and act as if we Americans can’t see the real racist here. You only wish we were that ignorant. All of you Clinton bashers are trying to make out like the American peolple “OF ALL COLOR” haven’t come closer. And You’re Wrong! And you know what you’re trying to do, so get off it. Move on to another story if this is getting old to you.
Obama, like Wright are as thick as thieves. Just are you as trying to hide the truth.
Americans of all color unite.
God bless America and God bless Hillary Clinton.
Yellow, red or black or white, we are precious in His sight. And we will prevail.
