Keep telling then, Bill. Hillary is the only candidate that cares about the middle class. As always, she’s advancing proposals to help families seeped in an economic crisis. Obama only offers opposition, and resistance to the change that will help middle and working class Americans.

@ Bishop: You’re right. George Bush senior first enacted NAFTA in 1988, and then signed it into law in early 1990′s. After some revision, Bill signed a version of NAFTA during his first term, but Hillary opposed it. She has always opposed NAFTA, but she couldn’t publicly come out against her husband, though.

The price of oil should be determined by demand, if not, we should investigate the Oil company.
The gas tax relief is authentic and is good money for working class.
Working class at the time of pinch now would rather spend on food rather than senseless driving. So working class would not drive more because of the relief.

Today I made my decision standing in the hot sun in Morganton NC listening to Bill Clinton. I am going to vote for Hillary…I so hope she wins.I took lots of pictures today but they were all fuzzy or just not good pictures. I got a sunburn and I have blisters on my toes from the walk to see Bill.I wanted to meet him and shake his hand and ask him a few questions butI didnt get to do it. I am still glad that I went, it sealed the deal for me.

When Bill was in office the gas prices whent down in months like the first 100 days the same way they went up When Bush JR took office it is all about drilling and what are dear congress will let them get away if a President draws a line then the oil company’s will have to bow.

It seems that 75% of the mosques in the US are hotbeds of anti-Western extremism. No doubt the same applies to mosques in the UK and Europe too. The form of extremism is such that it would be extremely foolish to allow them to exist. To all those complaining about the lack of Obama articles: Perhaps Obama is not campaigning today or nothing he said was noteworthy. The other day I saw tons of Obama coverage and very little Clinton coverage. I think it really just depends on when the “on the trail” reporters decide to post an article on the blogs and has no relation to either candidate. News media peeps are all about ratings and tend to post anything controversial enough to get us to comment. Unique visits = increase in advertising prices ABC charges their advertisers.

I don’t presume your young and I don’t really care that you are not voting for Hillary to each his own.

Observer taking things out of context doesn’t work. I have not read his book but I know many of my friends are book club members and say what a wonderful book that was. Look what they tried to do to Jim Webb and his books. It didn’t work though, he was still elected.

Hillary consistently initiates ideas, plans, and proposals to help Americans to deal with difficult problems. Some of them may work, and some may not. Still, she religiously develops new strategies to help solve problems. Obama delivers speeches, opposes every idea Clinton proposes, and has the worst record in the US Senate for actually passing Bills.
Hillary’s baggage has been “rummaged through” for the twenty years she’s been in public life. Obama’s baggage has only come to light in the past couple of months. In those couple of months, it’s become increasingly clear that Obama’s baggage is significantly heavier than Hillary’s.
Hillary has excellent judgment, seeks smart council, effectively works to form bipartisan alliances, and has demonstrated stalwart grit. Obama’s judgment and choice of advisors is not only bad, but dangerous as evidenced by his relationships with Wright, Ayers, Hamas, and Rezko. As a puppet of the ultra-left wing, Obama’s ability to form bipartisan alliances will be problematic, at best. Finally, Obama’s lack of strength is clear-He was afraid to confront Jeremiah Wright, he wants to have friendly chats with America’s enemies without preconditions, and he’s even afraid to debate Hillary one-on-one.
The differences are abundantly clear.

20 years with the Reverand & Obama’s own bitter comments & not leaving the church and not standing for voters in Mi and Flo are Judgments made by Obama. It has stupidly made millions of voters upset for no good reason. Obama swift boated himself.
Give the Clintons a break. At least they are trying to help the little guys and little independent truckers with some short term relief. People are hurting. Why not attack the real problems like giving banks 30 billion $$. Many economists liked that.

I would like to respond to the attacks on the Clintons’ values. Firstly, Hillary could have spent her summers in college lounging on the beach or out partying with her friends, but she chose instead to go South and register voters when it was not popular or even safe to do so (Remember the film “Mississippi Burning” was about three young civil wrights workers who came South to register voters and got shot in cold blood for their trouble.)
When she was First Lady, she could have sat on her behind, poured tea, planned parties, bought designer duds, baked cookies and played the dutiful, obedient little wife like so many before and since. Instead, she chose to take a more professional role — bucking tradition. She endured a lot of abuse from the media, from the right wing; it was easy to vilify someone who dared to push forward. Now, we actually have a woman candidate for president that has a better than even chance to win the presidency.
All we have to do now is convince the superdelegates to vote what’s best for the country and quit worrying about losing the black voting block. They certainly haven’t given much thought, or respect, for the women’s voting block. The Obamaniacal media has given Obama such a free ride until, at this late house, we now finally have seen some of his flaws and political vulnerabilities ONLY AFTER half the primary season is over. Judgmentis not one speech; it is a lifetime of decisions. Obama’s relationships with Rezko, Wright, Ayers, etc., must be seen in the broader context. Birds of a feather flock together, as my grandma would say.
There are many people who are experiencing “buyer’s remorse” that, unfortunately, can’t take their vote back. They are depending on the superdelegates to have the good sense to do it for them.

Emily I’m glad you read it. My neighborhood book club among others I know saw no offense in it and were actually inspired by it. I guess it’s all in the interpretation. But I certainly weren’t give credence to quotes from it on this blog.

Here is another difference that Bill forgot to point out:
Hillary will say and do whatever it takes to win. That’s why her fans are so big on her. They think Hills will use her mastery of the dark arts of politics to their advantage all while screwing over the other side. This is the main reason her HardCore Shills are covering for her.
The Gas Tax matter is an example. Pakistan matter is just another example.
If we gotta good idea which cave bin laden is hiding in, at least 9 out 10 people would say blow the cave up. I imagine Hills would agree that the cave should be blasted. She’s willing to “totally, like Obliterate” Iran so you gotta think she’s willing to blast Bin Laden.

It’s like she and bill live in the moment and say and do what ever feels good at that moment time. If it feels good to be a tough guy and promise to obliterate Iran, do it. If it feels good to scold a tough guy even when the tough guy is right, do that too.

I suggest that everyone try to write fairly on their candidates and informative to others why your candidate is worth the attention to the other side who might have missed it. Going through all the postings, I think most of the people are able to do that except DCVoter. I don’t know exactly what she is wasting our time for by saying the other side (to her) had no noteworthy news. Elite ? Did you see Hillary at the gas station photo op she set up ? Clinton did not know how to operate a gas pump for cryin out loud , that is how out of touch she is with the real lives of the real American people . Perhaps many of you including the media are misreading Clinton’s statement on Iran. She said “… we would be able to obliterate Iran.” She did not say she would nuke them, she stated we are capable of it which is a fact. She has always stated she would use military force as a last resort and diplomacy comes first. But when you have a nation calling for the annihilation of Isreal (genocide of Jewish people), she is correct to take a hardline. If you notice the impact was positive as Iran then immediately stated they have no intention of invading or bombing any other country after her statement. She will be a strong CIC because she knows a strong military is required to restore and keep the peace.

bailey – there are a few good sources for poling trends but the best one I have found is pollster.com because they chart the aggregates and are non-partisan. Unfortunately, there are pollsters like Zogby that have endorsed Obama and their results tend to be skewed. The aggregate trends are fairly good indicators. However, as you well know, this race is so volatile, the only results that are truly accurate are the voting results. I follow the numbers closely and have my own analysis ongoing since January 2007.

Bill Clinton does not need to do this. His is rich as Obama was so anxious to show. This is something an elitist like Obama or his hate spewing wife can never do. Go meet the real people of America.

HRC is saying nothing about restoring our rights under the Constitution. The Indiana election has been stolen by Limbaugh. 38% of the voters say they are voting for McCain in the fall. Vote for Obama and save the Constitution from McCain’s CIA pals.

At least we know where Clinton and McCain stand on the issues.
With Obama, it changes from primary to primary, month to month, week to week, even day to day.
What we do know about Obama is that he will raise your taxes, and he will raise them a lot.
Not only will Obama refuse to offer temporary tax relief on the price of a tank of gas, Obama will institute programs that permanently raise taxes.
And, the tax increases will not just be on the wealthy. Obama tax increases will result in significant portions of your paycheck going to higher and higher taxes.
America was offered the same economic plan with Mondale, Dukakis, and Kerry.
The result was rejection in the national election.
The major issue right now is the economy.
And, on the economy, Obama doesn’t have a clue.

You are wrong because not just every “other word” isn’t a Lie, it is because EVERY SINGLE word is a lie.

Hillary just can’t win this on her own. She needs Bubba and his southern drawl down in NC to win those rural votes. Still riding Bill’s coattails.

It’s depressing that the Clintons are brainwashing everyone with their gas tax “relief” plan. Hillary keeps insisting that it will work, but gives absolutely no clear response on implementation. Anyone who has taken Economics 101 or understands the effect of taxes on supply and demand knows that the tax elimination will not bring relief. If it does, by some miracle, occur, the maximum savings would be around $30- at the cost of thousands of unemployed road workers, due to decreased tax revenue. Bill knows it’s pandering, and it makes me sick that he just blatantly lies to the constituency.
And as for Florida and Michigan- it’s DNC primary rules. Read up on it and stop whining. The state legislatures broke the rules, so like it or not, they’ve been denied delegates. Plus, in typical primary seasons, like the 2004 primary, later states don’t have a say anyway. This is a primary, not a general election. There’s a huge difference. Not everyone gets a say in the primary (again, see 2004)- so throwing around the word “disenfranchise” like the DNC is discriminating against Florida and Michigan is inaccurate and disrespectful to voters who actually have been disenfranchised historically.

Many people think Bill Clinton was a great president, so was average at best. He was horrible to the miliary, cutting yearly pay increases (I am a Retired Marine, so I know). Plus the country has never faced anything that required the president (Bill Clinton term in office) to act in a manner that directly affect us here in America. And do forget about selling arms to Iran behind close doors. I would have to say Reagan made the country STRONG and it has been going down hill ever since. Now Hilliary is focusing on old people set in there ways to win an election that clearly favors the young people of today. They want change and will not settle for the same old crap. Last note: Universal Health is a GREAT IDEA but will not work just as the Social Security fund hasn’t. It is too costly to the American people UNLESS you cut funding for WELFARE/MEDICAID & MEDICARE which is the loophole she fails to mention which will cost the American Working people billions MONTHLY.
