McCain: Obama Naive and Inexperienced

ABC News’ Bret Hovell and Jennifer Parker Report: Sen. John McCain said Thursday Sen. Barack Obama’s willingness to sit down with the president of Iran shows "naiveté and inexperience and lack of judgment" — and indicated he will make the issue front-and-center in the general election if Obama becomes the nominee.

The presumptive Republican nominee was questioned about President Bush’s remarks to the Israeli Knesset -– which have been interpreted as an attack on Obama –- this morning when the President said that "some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."

Bush said negotiating with terrorists and radicals is a "foolish delusion" and then "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is –- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history," Bush said.

Watch video of Bush’s comments on terror HERE.

The Obama camp responded to McCain: "It is the height of hypocrisy for John McCain to deliver a lofty speech about civility and bipartisanship in the morning and then embrace George Bush’s disgraceful political attack in the afternoon.  Instead of delivering meaningful change, John McCain wants to continue George Bush’s irresponsible and failed Iran policy by refusing to engage in tough, direct diplomacy like Presidents from Kennedy to Reagan have done," said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor.

During a Democratic presidential debate in July, Obama was asked if he would be willing to meet separately "without preconditions" during the first year of his administration with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea; Obama said, "I would." However the Obama campaign maintains he would expect certain basic conditions to be met.

Obama fired back against Bush today in a statement that read, in part: "It is time to turn the page on eight years of policies that have strengthened Iran and failed to secure America or our ally Israel. Instead of tough talk and no action, we need to do what Kennedy, Nixon and Reagan did and use all elements of American power — including tough, principled, and direct diplomacy – to pressure countries like Iran and Syria."

McCain weighed in Thursday, highlighting the president of Iran’s comments about Israel.

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

Saying he takes Bush at his word that he wasn’t speaking directly of Obama, McCain said, "It does bring up an issue I will be discussing with the American people, and that is why does Barack Obama, Senator Obama want to sit down with a state sponsor of terrorism?" McCain said in the back of his campaign bus.

"What does he want to talk about with, with [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad who said that Israel’s a stinking corpse, who said that he wants to wipe Israel off the map, who’s sending the most explosive devices into Iraq, killing Americans?" he said. "The point is that peace through strength is the way we achieve peace in the world. That’s the point. I will debate this issue with Senator Obama throughout this campaign."

Going farther, McCain continued to connect Obama with Ahmadinejad and highlight the Iranian leader’s incendiary comments about Israel.

"I think Barack Obama needs to explain why he wants to sit down and talk with a man who is the head of a government that is a state sponsor of terror that is responsible for the killing of brave young Americans and wants to wipe Israel off the map and denies the Holocaust," McCain said.

"It is a serious error on the part of Senator Obama that shows naiveté and inexperience and lack of judgment to say that he wants to sit down across the table from an individual who leads a country that says and says that Israel is a stinking corpse, that is dedicated to the extinction of the state of Israel."

McBush may be experienced, but it is not the kind of experience our country needs at this point in time (if ever).
McCain can’t figure out who he is: the Maverick who opposed Bush and occasionally had some reasonable thoughts, or the Bush3 candidate, who will keep us in Iraq and move us further into a recession.
Enough!
Obama 2008 — Yes, WE CAN!!!

1st it’s 100 years, now it’ll be solved in four. AND we’ll catch bin Laden, AND we’ll solve “global warming” (by what blotting out the SUN?!?) And we’ll even fix the economy by adding even MORE tax breaks for big corporations that they can use to offshore more jobs overseas, while you get audited and imprisoned if you forget to dot the i’s and cross the t’s on yours. And if you STILL can’t get a jobm you’ll just have to go back to school in your 30′s and 40′s, and get even more job “re-training”, while you’ll still be paying off your debt from the last four years of your (now worthless) college education. Oh how wonderful it would be to live in Johnny’s fantasyland. I’m afraid all of that contact around Shrub has rubbed off, on John. Willful stupidity isn’t senility, as least I don’t believe…

Republicans have no credibility on this issue. The party the drove America into the ditch has little to offer. Bush was a shameless hack for what he did and anyone who isn’t honest enough to admit it is just a partizan ass. Like McCain.

Obama IS naive and inexperienced. McCain speaks the truth. Also read the ABC report on “Obama helps supporters get millions” This is a great article, thank you ABC for investigating this. The problem is that the media, and Obama supporters are not holding him to the fire. Logical thinking permits speculation that more gaffes and errors/scandals will be surfacing on Obama. The Republicans will use this against him, along with their claim that he IS NAIVE. The dems are putting up someone who is not qualified to run for president of the U.S.

Secretary of Defense Gates said Wednesday that we “need to figure out a way to develop some leverage and then sit down and talk with them.”
Secretary of State Condi Rice has talked about the need to sit down. So his first two appeasers are Rice and Gates.
Perhaps McCain should get a grip and figure out what the h**l is going on before he starts shooting his mouth of with absurd (and desperate) Republicon talking points

Gaffes, errors, and scandals. You mean like confusing sunni with shia on any number of occasions, forgetting you said that the City of New Orleans should tear the ninth ward down, or like setting up one of your developer friends with the land to build a shopping center in Phoenix? Those kinds of gaffes, errors, and scandals?
With John McCain you get the same experience as with Bush — only add 100 years.

If Sen. McCain keeps up with this he might pop an artery from all the excitement. The old man has spoken, ooh we are sacred. Give me a break. Did you hear him today? He’ll end the war in Iraq, capture or kill Bin Laden and take us to the promised land in 2013. What medication did his wife give him? Talk about being inexperienced and naive, see who’s talking.

Nixon went to China.
The Cuban Missile Crisis didn’t end civilization as we know it because we were willing to talk to our mortal enemy the Soviet Union.
Carter was able to negotiate a lasting peace between Isreal and Egypt that has heald up for nearly 30 years.
Hell even the Sainted Ronald Reagan was willing to talk to the Russians durring the waning days of the cold war.
Clearly talking to our enemies is appeasement. Which by the way didn’t stand for sitting down and talking to Hitler, it stood for the blunderous mistake Chamberlin made when he decided that it was okay if Hitler went ahead and took a part of the sovreign state of Checkoslovakia as long as he promised not to invade the rest of Europe. Another brilliant statement from Bush and his McSock Puppet BFF McCain.

Why is not this being shown by msnbc – the BO free 24-hr advertiser.
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., boasted of his efforts in 2001 to help a handful of African American-owned investment firms in Chicago get a larger share of business with Illinois state pension funds. “And in six months, they got about a half-billion dollars’ worth of business simply on their excellence,” Obama said.
What he did not say in his speech was that the owner of one of the investment firms, John Rogers of Ariel Capital, is a principal campaign fundraiser. Nor did he reveal that employees of the firms he helped have since contributed to or helped to raise more than $765,000 for his campaigns, according to campaign documents. Nor did he mention that two of the firms have allowed him to use their private jets. Nor did he mention that two of the firms have since been dismissed by the state pension fund for “underperformance.”

McCain is wrong. He’s not naive and inexperienced. He’s scary, radical and knows exactly what he’s doing.
I always laughed about liberals stance on Fox News. They didn’t want to be interviewed or appear on the network because it “legitimized” them…
Yet directly talking to our terrorist enemies (therefore “legitimizing them) was “okay.”
Liberals. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Of course he can connect to younger students better than the mature adults, since he is immature, arrogant(youth is synonymoous with arrogance,) and accordingly inexperienced. Obama certainly doesn’t act like 46 years old.

McCain broke his arms by NOT tucking them in against his chest when he ejected. IT WAS NOT BY TORTURE!!! I worked for McCain’s campaign in 2000, we all knew this, and it’s even in his book. He was not tortured, he was put in solitary confinement until he was videotaped by a french tv crew after they found out that his father was head of Pacific Command. Look up “Vietnam veterans against McCain” for detail insofar as his POW record. It’s appaling… I’m ashamed to have worked for him. But considering that Bush was the alternative… I have to forgive myself. Anybody but Hilliary/Obama/McCain… Pay attention to congress and vote the bums out!!!

That Obama naiveté is merely subterfuge for terrorist sympathy. Obama’s documented ties to Hamas and the anti-American Weathermen is testament to his true loyalty- and it’s not to America or Israel.
Furthermore, his carefully scripted speeches will never alter the sentiments of leaders in Iran, Syria, Cuba, or North Korea. They will, however, be used as propaganda by these foreign leaders, and may serve to further strengthen Iran’s resolve to destroy Israel and her allies.

3. His 20yrs tie with his controversial anti-America church…

Difference between HRC and BO:
HRC fought in NC, knowing she will lose and get deeper in debt.
BO chickened out in WV, giving up “less-educated bitter” voters.
His advisers probably told him that WV ranked the bottom in higher education. He’d just say; that’s enough, they would not vote for me, and I do not care about em.

What does he want to talk about with, with [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad who said that Israel’s a stinking corpse, who said that he wants to wipe Israel off the map, who’s sending the most explosive devices into Iraq, killing Americans?” he said. “The point is that peace through strength is the way we achieve peace in the world. That’s the point. I will debate this issue with Senator Obama throughout this campaign.”
“I think Barack Obama needs to explain why he wants to sit down and talk with a man who is the head of a government that is a state sponsor of terror that is responsible for the killing of brave young Americans and wants to wipe Israel off the map and denies the Holocaust,” McCain said.
EXACTLY. Obama’s record shows his agrees with Iran.

Hmmm,I hate to burst your bubble, but President Bill Clinton talked to N. Korea and they stabbed him in the back, by “moving forward” with their nuclear program! And in case you’re so un-enlightened let me also inform you that we’ve been talking to N. Korea in the six party talks that they keep stalling with their ludicrous demands! So Obama can talk to any despot he wishes to, just don’t do it on my tax money or in my name, as my president. If we take O’bama at his word: He didn’t know Rev. Wright was an anti-american racist, didn’t know how highly he held Farrakhan, and didn’t know Bill Ayres was a terrorist. We have to decide he is either a liar or a fool who has severely impaired judgement. Either of which disqualifies him from being President! Now we know Wrights sermons and magazine were everywhere, we know O’bama’s picture was on the cover with Farrakhan, and we know that the person who wanted him to replace her in illinois politics took him to Ayres house first to state her wishes. So you decide if he is a fool or a liar. I myself believe he is a fool if he thinks he has “GOD clinging” americans bamboozled, by his false personna! By the way, I am not from a small town, I am from NYC.

This is just another attempt at distraction to try to make us forget the monstrous failure of the Republican policy that McCain inherits from President Bush. They’re frantically grasping at anything to make you think Obama would be worse than themselves.
There’s nothing new or naive about Obama’s approach to foreign policy and global affairs.
“Appeasement” is not the same as diplomatic dialogue. Even Brent Scowcroft, Natl Security Advisor to former President Ford and G.H.W. Bush seems to think that Obama’s on the right track – he said he agrees “that the U.S. would benefit from having direct talks with the leaders of its most distrusted adversaries.”
Don’t be fooled – McCain knows he’s on a sinking ship.

Bush and his shameless crew of neon chicken-hawk henchmen fooled the American public into backing their oil war by pretending Iraq was behind 9/11 and lying about a nonexistent threat from WMDs that didn’t exist. Five years on, we are still stuck in the sand, the real terrorists are still free, and we’ve emboldened Iran by weakening its ancient, regional enemy.
Somehow, given this track record of anti-American subterfuge and colossal strategic blundering, I think I’ll take a chance on a Party and a candidate who recognize that throwing our weight around in the Middle East isn’t a prescription for success, it’s already proven to be a unmitigated disaster.

We are all americans and to slam each one of these men is shameful. mccain is a decorated war hero and although i do not agree with any of his policies or agendas, i would shake his hand and call him sir if i were to meet him. as for obama, i dont agree with him or many things he stands for, but he did win the nomination with a majority vote. Either way, neither could possibly be as bad as “the worst of all time.”

No group of people could be more naive and out of touch with reality than John McCain and George Bush. Thier blissful ignorance is beyond any lack of experience. Some of you people won’t be satisfied until the Republicans ruin whats left of this country. So lets fight for 100 more years, let Bin Laden run free, make oil companies richer, give our nation to China, continue to assist in global warming – lets just keep moving with the current trend because its easier – easier for you to accuse Barack Obama of beig a racist that clearly evaluating the reasons why you won’t vote for him – because he’s black.

December 17, 2007
Obama Would Hold Muslim-American Summit
Ed Lasky
In an interview on former Senator Bill Bradley’s Sirius radio show, Barack Obama let it be known that if elected president, he would organize a meeting between Islamic leaders and Americans:
“I would convene a conference within my first year just gathering together Muslim leaders from all around the world, to describe for them what our values and our interests are, to insist that they need to help us to defeat the terrorist threats that are there, but to also recognize that they are bound up with us and that we have an interest in making sure that their societies can prosper and that we’re moving forward with them as partners with dignity and respect.”
Which Muslim leaders? Religious leaders who spout anti-West venom? The “leaders” of Muslim nations who are dictators and kleptocrats? The leaders who have ruined their own people’s futures by keeping their nations mired in the deep, dark past? Obama would find it difficult to find Muslim leaders who have any following who have not already been discredited by their own records? If Obama reached out to reformers, they would not have any impact.

John McCain is a dishonest piece of crap. And if he thinks we’re NOT going to be talking to a country that is turning out to be one of Iraq’s bigger allies in the region, he’s also going senile. This is a ridiculous argument. McCain and Bush are responsible for what’s going on over there. Now they’re trying to pin it on the Democrats–in particular, a Democrat who said that the invasion would be a disaster BEFORE we invaded. Obama was right. McCain was wrong. McCain is a feeble old man.

FOLLOW THE BUNDLED MONEY TRAIL TO THE PLO
Michelle Obama and Barack Obama listen to Professor Edward Said give the keynote address at an Arab community event in Chicago, May 1998. (Photo: Ali Abunimah)
Obama has also been close to some prominent Arab Americans, and has received their best advice. His decisive trajectory reinforces a lesson that politically weak constituencies have learned many times: access to people with power alone does not translate into influence over policy. Money and votes, but especially money, channelled through sophisticated and coordinated networks that can “bundle” small donations into million dollar chunks are what buy influence on policy. Currently, advocates of Palestinian rights are very far from having such networks at their disposal. Unless they go out and do the hard work to build them, or to support meaningful campaign finance reform, whispering in the ears of politicians will have little impact. (For what it’s worth, I did my part. I recently met with Obama’s legislative aide, and wrote to Obama urging a more balanced policy towards Palestine.)
If disappointing, given his historically close relations to Palestinian-Americans, Obama’s about-face is not surprising. He is merely doing what he thinks is necessary to get elected

I agree with many here. How do you move forward if you do not communicate with each other. It’s like a bad marriage. Does the counsellor tell the husband and wife to hold press conferences denouncing each other? No, you talk. It’s a lot better than killing each other. We did nothing for years with North Korea except tell the world we would not talk to them and we would never allow them to have a nuclear weapon. Then they got their bomb and suddenly we are talking to them. ?! That didn’t work at all! Obama isn’t saying we are going for dinner and a movie with these countries. Did anyone take the time to read his statement today? “…Instead of tough talk and no action, we need to do what Kennedy, Nixon and Reagan did and use all elements of American power — including tough, principled, and direct diplomacy – to pressure countries like Iran and Syria…” It makes a lot of sense to me.

Talking with them will solve nothing. They cannot be trusted. Iran is a country with the majority of people being of little to no logic, especially Ahmedinajad. He puts on a front that he’s normal but it’s easy to see behind it and it’s to tell with his choosing of words that he is not right. So, Obama going over there, and being all naive and trusting will only set off a firebomb that could possibly come to our soil. Did anyone ever think about that? I bet not. Yes, people we could very well at some point have a war with China, N. Korea and Iran on our soil and then what. A strong leader could prevent that and has prevented that but Obama is not strong like you all assume. He can’t deal with the hardcore problems.

Regan used DIPLOMACY and RESTRAINT to end the Cold War with Russia. He did not attack them. He sat down at the table with them over nearly a decade and slowly but surely ended the hostilities. Bush and McCain are foolish neo-conservatives who have no idea how to govern or conduct foreign policy.
Obama and Reagan are comparable in their approaches to international problems. The country is going to elect Obama as President. We will not allow another insane neo-conservative close to the White House.

Nikki, good grief. The majority of Iran is under 30 years old and they like their president about as much as we like ours. The only thing that will rally the people of Iran to their do-nothing, nutso president is for America and fellow “western” countries to ratchet up the rhetoric and threaten them. Americans are very patriotic and it has nothing to do with who happens to be president. The quickest way for us to come together is if we feel threatened. Why would the people of Iran be any different.

So eliminating the threat of Iraq was a good thing then? Since Iraq was united against a threat by Saddam Hussien.

McCain is right. Obama is inexperienced and has shown a consistent lack of judgment. This will be a problem for the democrats in November if Obama is the nominee. Don’t forget, this country has serious enemies and our military men are in harm’s way in two countries. How we got here is a question for historians, but the truth is we are at war.

Rich Jews are supporting Hillary because they fear Obama may put an end to $3.4 billion in aid, i.e., ransom money, paid to Israel to Israel because of pressure from Jewish lobby. Since Obama’s nomination is assured, these jews will flock to McCain to stop Obama from becomming President.

Do we really want someone with a serious health issue to become President? I don’t think we do. McCain’s skin cancer has already come back once. We cannot afford to have a person in dire health at the helm of the country. Not at this important stage in history.
Even if we ignore McCain’s potentially fatal health issue, we cannot ignore his age and his flip flopping on Iraq. First he wanted to stay there for 100 years. Now he wants to get out by 2013. He can’t even remember what he said two weeks ago. His senility is showing through. He’s unfit for office on many levels.

If I had to talk to the Devil to save the life of one child – I’d talk. Putting oneself on a pedestal is simply putting yourself of a pedestal. Diaglogue is the foundation of international diplomacy and understanding. I have pondered the last few days all the “evil” expressed against China – and then I view of pictures of death, pain and humanity. Again, if I had to have a face to face talk with the Devil to save one – I’d do it and I may offend my fellow citizens, but I expect my President to do the same; by doing so, that pedestal on which they stand is out shoulders. I am tired of “those evil ones” banter and pushing the young and innocent to forefront while the wealthy, proud and corrupt surround themselves with private and public security – paid for by the pain and agony of the people they “serve” (the word “serve” is used very lightly).

Susan said, “McCain is right. Obama is inexperienced and has shown a consistent lack of judgment.” Let’s first talk about George Bush’s ‘experience’ before he was elected (twice) to the Presidency. He oversaw a failed baseball team, and a failed oil company. Hmm.. Sounds like a ringing foreign policy resume, now doesn’t it.
Please give me a break. Obama has more common sense and foreign policy know how in his little finger than Bush has in his whole body. If the country can elect an ex-cocaine addict and someone who had absolutely no Congressional experience, then they can surely elect a multi-term Senator in Obama. The lie that Obama lacks the proper experience is just that. A lie.

First have “dubba” drop something like “Democrats would let the Nazi’s win” then follow it up a McCain right hook about “we don’t need no diplomacy”. Well, McCain – the clueless, flip flop artist – can talk of ‘naiveté and inexperience’!
Does McCain wish us the to assume that ‘naiveté and inexperience’ has nothing to do with age?
The one thing we can say with certainty is that the years seem to have merely bestowed thinning white hair upon “nuke ‘em” McCain liberally. But not wisdom. Or honesty. Or “straight talk”.

The bottom line on this issue is that once again Obama is charading as something he is not for political expediency. Obama will have to account for his relationship with Rashid Khalidi, his support of Edward Said, the speeches he gave in support of the palestinians back in the late 1990′s with America hater wife Michelle at his side. These are serious issues for Americans and Jews. And from the comments of the “unity” Obama bloggers, the hate for Israel runs true and deep in the Black Liberation Theology world of Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan and Zbig Brezinski. And Brezinski would love to do away with Israel, just check him out – he’s Mika on Morning Joe’s DADDY!!!

There are Bush goverment officials talking with Iran right now, trying to get them to back off their involvement in the Iraq War. And the Bush administration have been talking to Iran for years about not acquiring nuclear weapons. So Bush is a bold hypocrite, he knows full well that you need to be talking to these countries, and Bush`s adminstration has been doing it.
It`s just like The Bill Clinton adminstration did in the 1990`s, when Bill Clinton was in office. It was Bill Clinton who started the Gulf War in the 1990`s to stop Iraq from invading Iran.
There are also Bush government officials in North Korea right now trying to get North Korea to back off their wish to buid nuclear weapons

The Clintons got walloped. And so will old Johnny come November. lol
By underestimating a visionary who was ‘right on the war’, the blind Clintons and Cains are humiliated by their ignorance. lol
Of course talk to the maniac muslims of Iran; and have them decide if they want peace or the alternative.
Give them every option of a peaceful outlet.
Bush and McCain rushed into Iraq and so strengthen Iran. How foolish was that.
Bush was asleep on 911; how foolish was that.
Bush is STILL asleep!

All of you obama worshipers – you knock the heck out of McCain, yet he has served this country in an outstanding manner with his years in the service – he didn’t have to go to VietNam – yet he did and survived a prison camp. He is an AMERICAN HERO. What part of the military did your obama serve in? He was never even a Boy Scout, too busy studying the Koran? When are YOU going to offer to defend America by serving in the military? I thought so – NEVER – because you are too cowardly for one, and of course “over educated” for another and believe that obama, who walks on water, will with one gigantic wave of his arm, part the waters and save the world. If this type of thinking is supposed to define “educated” you certainly have a lot of people fooled. But obama is waiting for you yet – he will use you further – vote for obama, vote for the selling out of America by obama.
Then, after you have been sold out and played out – come back and then tell us how much obama has accomplished for you. obama HAS NO INTERNATIONAL TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE. You cannot deal with the foreign countries who show animosity to America with a tea party. You have to know what you are doing – by instinct. Obama only knows what John Kerry-Heinz and Teddy Kennedy TELL HIM WHAT TO KNOW. He can’t even give a speech without a teleprompter, screams Racist when Hillary bops him in debate and now is attempting to say that Bush is talking about HIM. Bush, you are a bad, bad boy. We know you didn’t mean obama, but hey, he has his feelings mighty hurt now that anyone (including himself) would ever think anything bad about him. He is after all, the Messiah, the Second Coming and the Savior of all the Muslims, once he gives America to them.

the real appeaser is the bush family due to it ties to the bin laden family.
thru a series of lies such as weapons of mass destruction we invaded another country and replaced the government not for war against terrorism but for big oil and the defense contractors. the same people who are supporting mccain. when iraq was fighting iran cozied up to saddam and provided him with the means to terrorize his people and the entire area. we talk with china, we talk with north korea and we certainly dont threaten to bomb them back to the stone age as we do iran. i can imagine this country’s reaction to this kind of statement. these kind of comments only breed discontent and hate, i dont think we need any more cowboys in the whitehouse who use innocent american lives to fill their and their friends, big oil and the defense contractors, pockets. face up to the fact we as americans were lied to and mcpain continues the lies.

What a bunch of blithering idiots you people who support B. Hussain Obama are!
Here is a man who said the other day he was reciting the Pledge of Allegiance when he was three years old! He sat in a church for twenty years and never heard anything that the pastor said, to whom the church gave awards or anything that happened there EXCEPT the support of the church and its members for his political ambitions. He got a very expensive house in Chicago under the most questionable circumstances. He has no experience whatsoever – two years in the Senate (a seat “handed to him”), and other than “toe the Liberal line” he did nothing – no bill in his name, no outstanding (or other) speech on the Senate floor, no nothing! And he will meet with the leader of any country with no preconditions. What a neophyte jackass! His family (those he has not thrown under the bus as he did the WHITE grandmother who raised him) are muslims, he attended a muslim school in Jakarta, his mother married two muslims in succession (the first muslim – Obama’s father – was already married to a muslim). How much evidence do you dummies want? He is no more qualified to lead this great Country than my dogs, maybe less. I hear all his talk about alternative energy – but from where? The liberals have already caused a worldwide food shortage for the poor (the very people the Liberals are always talking about protecting); do they stop or rethink what they are doing? Of course not! The Liberals have for a long time (10 years at least) beat the drums about “global w arming” and then, without even blushing, tell us that, OOOPs, there is a cold period of ten years coming before it warms up! For Heavens sake, if they didn’t see that one coming, how can any sane person pay any attention to them – they are all blithering idiots! You Obama fans had better rethink what you are trying to do to the USA (for which I fought in WWII).

What does he know what real working people go through like losing their jobs, struggling to make ends meet, or affordable health care? Even more so with his rich and scary looking wife now. I think McCain is probably a decent guy, but I cannot vote for another 4 crushing years of Bush economics. McCain’s tax plan: 1) Make almost all of the Bush tax cuts, which are currently scheduled to expire at the end of 2010, PERMANENT. 2) Eliminate the alternative minimum tax. 3) Sharply reduce tax rates on corporate profits. According to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, the overall effect of McCain’s tax plan would be to reduce federal revenue by more than $5 trillion over 10 years. And McCain’s idea about cutting pork barrel spending simply won’t make up the gap to pay for another 4 years in Iraq.

As I posted before, Obama’s naiveté is merely subterfuge for terrorist sympathy. Like his documented ties to Hamas, Obama has a host of terrorist pals.
Obama has been personal friends and dinner buddies with Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) member, Rashid Khalidi, for many years. Their attendance at various events together included anti-Israeli sentiments expressed by both speakers and participants.
Khalidi was the director of the PLO press agency in Beirut and served on the PLO guidance committee before becoming a Middle East professor at the University of Chicago.
The PLO is a terrorist organization bent on destroying Israel and engaging in anti-American attacks since the late 1960’s.
Khaldi has hosted political fundraisers for Obama, and while serving as director of the Woods Fund with his other buddy, the Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers, Obama helped Khalidi secure $40,000 in 2001 and 35,000 in 2002 to fund the anti-Israel oriented Arab American Action Network which Khalidi co-founded.
Since the presidential race commenced, Obama has distanced himself from his longtime friend, Khalidi. When interviewd by the LA Times, Khalidi indicated that Obama’s recent support of Israel rather than Palestine is the result of his bid for the presidency. Sound familiar? Rev. Wright said the same thing about Obama- that he distances himself from his mentors and friends for political expediency.
Like Ayers and Farrakhan, Khalidi also lives in Obama’s Chicago neighborhood. Birds of a feather…

THIS IS HOW MUCH OF A UNINFORMED, LUNATIC WARMONGERING IDIOT McCAIN IS: On March 26, 2008 McCain gave a speech on FOREIGN POLICY in Los Angeles that was billed as his most comprehensive statement on the subject. It contained within it the most radical idea put forward by a major candidate, for the presidency in 25 years. Yet almost no one noticed. BIG MISTAKE!!!
In his speech McCain proposed that the United States EXPEL Russia from the G8, the group of advanced industrial countries. McCain also proposed that the United States also exclud China from the councils of power.
What McCain has announced is momentous—that the United States should adopt a policy of active exclusion and hostility toward two major global powers Russia, and China). It would reverse a decades-old bipartisan American policy of integrating these two countries into the global order, a policy that began under Richard Nixon (with Beijing) and continued under Ronald Reagan (with Moscow). It is a policy that would alienate many countries in Europe and Asia, who would see it as an attempt by Washington to begin a new cold war.
OKAY, SO THIS LUNATIC McCAIN THINKS IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO ISOLATE, AND MAKE ENEMIES OF CHINA, (THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD), AND RUSSIA, (ONE OF THE RICHEST OIL COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD), SO THEY CAN JOIN TOGETHER, AND DECLARE WAR AGAINST AMERICA, ON TOP OF THAT, THESE COUNTRIES WOULD THEN GLADLY BECOME THE SOURCE OF SUPPORT TO TERRORISTS.

Tough diplomacy like Kennedy, eh?
I think Kennedy – and don’t get me wrong, as a Repulican I like Kennedy – was understandably far more militant in his policy than Obama wants to be.
Let’s run Kennedy’s highlight reel: Was Kennedy displaying that “tough diplomacy” when he ordered the ill-fated invasion of Cuba known as the Bay of Pigs? How about when he enacted a Naval blockade of Cuba during the Cuban Missle Crisis? How about the secret U-2 missions over Russia? How about his escalation of American military involvement in Vietnam, which was faithfully carried forward by his successor, President Johnson?
The problem with Obama’s response in this instance is that I wish Obama DID think like Kennedy. Apparently Obama needs to study the Kennedy Administration more closely before he talks about Kennedy’s ideas about meeting foes with “tough diplomacy.”
Did Nixon open relations up with Russia and China? Yes. Nixon also heightened the Vietnam War and bombed Cambodia. It seems Obama has selective memory when it comes to history.
Reagan? Perhaps Reagan was closest to what Obama is talking about. Reagan also referred to Russia as the “Evil Empire” – quite diplomatic – coaxed the Russians into an Arms Race their economy couldn’t handle – and Reagan, sly fox, knew Russia would kill itself trying to keep up – and funneled money and guns through the Iran-Contra scandal to secretly support coups Reagan though to be democratic. Does Obama want scandalous, secretive diplomacy?
Reagan, Nixon, and Kennedy all had good moments and good qualities as presidents, and Obama correctly cites their effectiveness. What Obama misses is that they advocated – and used – military and covert operative force when they thought it was necessary and gave them an edge over their foes.
Kennedy probably would have tried to topple Iran with military force or a coup. Nixon would have talked with Iran, and if that didn’t work, he’d have bombed them to the stone age. Reagan would have called Iran “The Second Evil Empire” and incited dissidents to form a coup and he’d funnel weapons and money to support the rebels in overthrowing Iran’s government. Neither of those three presidents would have sat idly by and allowed Iran to build nukes while “we talked.” Get a clue, Obamafans. The presidents Obama touts as being “tough diplomats,” were more militaristic than he paints them to be. Ironically, I hope Obama IS like Kennedy, Nixon, and Reagan – that would mean he’d use military force when it was necessary; sorry anti-war junkies, I know that idea pisses you off.

Senator Obama does not have any real wisdom regarding talking to terrorist or those threating our country. He does nothing to help law enforcement stop the gangs from killing each other off or killing anyone who gets in the way in his home district. He is just talking, and talking, and talking, and talking and does nothing. Obama. clean up your own district first. You have no domestic or foreign service expertise. Just talk.

John McCain is absolutely correct. Obama debated Hillary on this subject, saying he would meet with Iran’s leader and others, without preconditions. He attempted to backpedal later when he realized that Hillary’s statements and ideas were more “presidential”. McCain is right: Obama is naive, lacking in judgement, and woefully low on experience.
McCain is not George Bush, and he has a record to prove it. He knows how to work with the opposition, and he knows how to stand his ground. He is not weak.

“The Candidate”
It is said”Great leaders are born and Dangerous leaders are made, one being a Legacy the other Lethal”.
A boy is born on the far edge of a great nation. Although not born full blood of his country, he struggles to find his place having issues of identity, class and race.
When at a young age he loses his mother to cancer and is left alone to piece together his life and to make a place in it.
Years pass and the young man grows with confidence and prejudice, and during this time he formulated many ideas on politics and race. It’s these ideas that will have immense consequences in the future.
The young man was influenced by a prominent religious leader. One that appealed to the lower and middle classes, but was at most an opportunist.
The man would eventually make his way into the second largest political party of his country.
This same man would also become a best selling Author. His book based on a time and place in his life that was filled with humiliation, fury, violence and despair. It was a time when he felt of being in two different worlds and belonging to neither.
The book brought him wealth and recognition as well as a strong voice to the political party.
His country has suffered many years at war. The population was suffering from poverty, misery, and uncertainty amid increasing political instability.
The stock market is unstable and sent financial markets worldwide into a tailspin with disastrous effects. His country now depended on foreign loans and trade. The citizens of this mighty nation are being laid off and losing jobs, financial institutions are failing making it hard for families to purchases necessities with the country’s devalued money.
The general population in his country is looking for a solution, any solution.
It was at this time when the quite and peaceful man in his forties stepped up to represent his political party as a candidate, one for change. Change would be his slogan throughout his campaign and a promise of a very different style of politics.
This candidate had a gift of speech and could play on the emotions of his audience, an audience very willing to listen. In his speeches he offered his constituents what they needed most, encouragement.
He gave them tons of vague promises while avoiding the details. He used simple catchphrases, repeated over and over. The masses surrendered to his will and looked upon him with immense religious adoration.
Promising a new generation of political leaders, he offered work to the unemployed, hope to failed business, profits to new industries, and most of all social harmony and restoration of his country’s glory.
He promised order amid confusion and a feeling of unity to all, with a chance to belong. He appealed to all classes of people.
His chief asset is his speech making ability and a keen sense of what the people wanted to hear. He aroused the curiosity of the world press as well as the local media.
The people were tired of misery, suffering, and a weak government that has lost the respect from countries around the world. Most of these things blamed on the current administration.
His rehearsed speeches and charm influenced all who listened. It gained him strong support and financial funding from politicians, bankers, Industry, and upper class socialites looking to gain favors with his nomination to the greatest and most important position in his country.
With his keen and sinister insight into mass psychology, he is a master in manipulation of the masses, while playing by the rules of Democracy.
By now you more than likely know the name of this very popular candidate.
His struggle with identity was that of being part Jewish.
His influential religious leader was Karl Lueger.
His best seller book was “Mein Kampf”.
The country is Germany.
The candidate is “Adolf Hitler”.
The rest is history.
Be smart; don’t gamble on something your unsure of just for change.
“It is best to suffer with dignity than submit to disgrace”
This is just food for thought. It is based on historic fact and is not insinuating any particular candidate running today. It could never happen in America with a secure check and balance Democracy in place. Americans would never fall for such a candidate, or would they?
God Bless America

Patriot,
What an eerie analogy! I really was thinking of you-know-who until you got to Jewish. You are now on the hot seat. Another race card to be played, I think, by you-know-who. Get Ready!
It requires some research, probably, to make the parallels, but you have made a superb analogy.

Patriot,
Addendum:
Send this to McCain, because I think he can see the parallel, too. It sounds like some fodder for the November date, if Obama becomes the nominee. Then he can pull the race card again to ignite his base. What do you think?

I have one thing to say to you McCain.
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naive said “Be smart; don’t gamble on something your unsure of just for change.”
I agree, if I were into gambling I’d gamble on Bush III doing a better job than Bush II, but I’m not going to take that bet!
GOBama 2008. Time to fix the mess the Republicans have left us.

Keller: Kennedy was young too, and one of the best Presidents we ever had.
I’m totally for talking to Iran. We do NOT need another God damn war in this country you uneducated idiots. Iran has not attacked us, and while their leaders are evil (just like the leaders of Iraq was), it is not our job to go bashing the doors down of every evil establishment. There are in fact, an unlimited number of them.
We would bankrupt ourselves trying. Yes, the great USA would go bankrupt trying to destroy the evil in the world. Do you like your country? Want it to live a long life, then don’t let it go bankrupt fighting unnecessary wars you uneducated hicks.
Step 1) Go to school.
Step 2) Get an education.
Step 3) Then comment on the world when you aren’t blinded by “Terrah” Oh mah gosh tha turristas R gonna GIT us.
Racism, intolerance, and backwardness lasted entirely too long because of uneducated people who were easily fooled by snake oil salesman like those in the Republican party.
Yeah, I’m pretty much being condescending. What are you going to do about it?

McCain is naive if he thinks continuing the Bush policies is what America needs.
Since he is so close to Bush and Bush supports him, why doesn’t he convince Bush to shut up and put up. Help his people. Do something to show he cares about America. Do what he can in the time he has left to show that he cares at all about anyone other than himself. Once you vote for McCain, you are locked into 4 more years and when your condition gets worse, you can say you at least voted for who you wanted. McCain can relate to suffering or poverty. You are naive if you think he will be giving you any of his money. Obama is the only candidate that has known and lived suffering and overcome it. Obama has a record in Illinois of success and change. He stood against the war. He will represent the people and he would have never gone to another country to put down his own fellow Americans.

BO is not of president quality
BO does not have what it takes to be a true, solid reformer. He is just a talker that has used bombastic high-flown language to fool millions of people by poetic promises of change. In reality, he has taken considerable money and support from all sorts of corporate and other special interests. Remember his Bittergate!
Michelle Obama’s salary at University of Chicago Hospitals when her husband won the US Senate seat was $121,000. Within weeks of his swearing in, her salary went to over $320,000. The following year Obama did an earmark request for $1 million for her employer.
Todd Spivak of the Houston Press has documented how Obama accomplished next to nothing in his first six years in the Illinois legislature.
Then Emil Jones Jr. an African American with thirty years in the legislature made Obama a sponsor of 26 bills that became law. This is how BO portrays himself as a highly successful legislator. This is just like giving him the ball at 1 yard line. Has Obama repaid Jones? Yes. He has provided tens of millions in earmarks for Jones’ district. As to such actions, Jones famously said: “Some call it pork; I call it steak.”
From fact, we may infer that BO is just another salesman who sells poetic promise of change.

You know all of you so called “democrats” who insist that if Obama gets the nomination then you will vote for McCain in the fall. Well you’ll show them huh? Then we will have a 3rd term of Bush as if the country is not already shot to….well you know the rest. WOW just because the nominee that some democrats wanted Hillary isn’t going to get the nomination doesn’t mean that you should switch parties. What are you accomplishing? If you vote out of anger and not on the issues then you are only hurting yourselves..because whoever gets the Whitehouse is already financially stable and has no worries. Regular Americans however should have alot more vested in this decision and not just vote out of anger. If you know the issues then you know that Hillary and Barack’s stances on the issues are very similar almost identical…so what’s the problem. Oh is it that he is an African-American or is it his name? Oh give me a break…the guy didn’t name himself! Sorry that Hillary feels entitled to the White HOuse because of Bill’s tenure….Maybe we should have just handed it to her on a silver platter….Haha. Get REAL DEMOCRATS! IF YOU WANT CHANGE AND TO BRING OUR TROOPS HOME AND TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY AND REWARD THE HARDWORKING EVERYDAY AMERICANS THEN YOU WILL VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA. IF NOT…..THEN FACE 4 MORE YEARS OF THE SAME BY VOTING FOR BUSH’S CLONE…JOHN MCSAME. OR MCBUSH OR WHATEVER HIS NAME IS.

WAY TO GO, MCCAIN! MAKE AMERICA SEE WHAT THIS RACIST MUSLIM OBAMA REALLY IS……A FAKE, AN EMPTY SUIT WITH NO SUBSTANCE ! OBAMA IS SUCH AN IDIOT….HE SAID HE WOULD SIT DOWN WITH TERRORIST, IT’S ON TAPE, WHY DOESN’T THE WIMP ADMIT IT….CUZ, HE THINKS HE CAN PANDER THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND GET OUT OF THIS ONE……NOT GONNA HAPPEN….I’M GOING TO LOVE TO WATCH HIS BIGOT FACE WHEN MCCAIN WINS IN THE FALL…AND OH YEAH, THE EXPRESSION ON HIS AMERICAN HATING WIFE MICHELLE AS WELL!!!!

It seems to me Obama means he had visited 57 states so far in this campaign, some more than once. Watch the video again, he was counting, not trying to remember how many states there are in this country.

Here’s McCain completely contradicting this position two years ago and explaining the need for diplomacy with hamas:

To David from Texas:
“Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.”
–I forget who.
Why is one a wimp for talking to one’s enemies? Talking with them give allows one to understand how one’s enemies think, and why they think what they think.
What do you think “diplomacy” is? It is sitting down and talking to the enemy. Diplomacy and negotiating (i.e. “appeasing”) are two different animals.
Since you can’t seem to discern the two, why are you not complaining about Bush talking with Iran, and North Korea about their nuclear ambitions? Every president that has had to deal with foreign relations have had to sit down and talk with the enemy at some point, so Obama’s idea is not really anything new.
But, being from Texas, your Bush-style cowboy tactics don’t surprise me.

Anyone who thinks that McCain is different than all the other warmongers is naive. Hey, conservatives, the devil is the master of deception, so stop worshipping McCan’t. That is, if you believe in the devil. And if we are going to continue our present Middle East policy, then you might compare Bush/McCain and company to Hitler. Not, the other way around. But they also are the masters of ‘twist’.

Our leaders in Washington seem incapable of working together in a practical, common-sense way. Politics has become so bitter and partisan, so gummed up by money and influence, that we can’t tackle the big problems that demand solutions.
Obama had put into words what is in the minds of millions of Americans, especially the non-ideological crossover voters.
Obama’s buoying call to a common sense approach a welcome antidote after the name calling and fearmongering of Bushism and scandals involving the Bush Administration. Many voters hunger now for a more productive and positive politics.
Like JFK, Obama will be a successful leader because they were gifted with the ability to put into words what many people were thinking in a way that produces genuine empathy.
Democratic Party presidential candidates have not displayed this quality in decades. Among the present pretenders for the nomination, Sens. Joseph Biden and Christopher Dodd and Rep. Dennis Kucinitch do not display it. John Kerry and Al Gore? Nope. John Edwards displays it, but his base of support is too narrow. Former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will best serve as Secretary of State if a Democrat wins the presidency.
That leaves Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Unfortunately, her greatest strength is also her greatest weakness — experience. The Republicans are in disarray. More than half the party is still in denial about why they lost control of Congress. A Clinton candidacy will be a lightning rod that will unite the Republicans, allowing them to paper over their differences to attack an old foe and get back in the game. That will be more difficult to do with Obama, who really represents a different generation.
The Republican frontrunner is Sen. John McCain. He has positioned himself for the race ever since losing the 2004 primaries to George Bush. But McCain has undercut his vaunted reputation for “straight talk” by cultivating support of Christian conservatives,Anti-abortion laws and supporting the escalation of the Iraq war, alienating crossover voters who want nothing to do with American mullahs like James Dobson and want to end the war. Absolutely no understanding of Economics, No viable Healthcare plan, etc.

Obama did say in just about all the debates between him and Hillary that he woulld set down and talk with anyone….Now he wants to say he didn’t ….Oh we should have known he would say that…Bush just said it like it is….Obama did say it….So why does he want to lie AGAIN About it…Does Obama not get it that America heard him say it…..And the world leaders heard him say it…..

Obama will not be able to do anything to help this nation in another country. I really really hope he doesnt get president..i was for Hillary, but ill be voting Mccain over Obama in a heartbeat..he has much better foreign policy in my opinion..Obama will do nothing but lead us into more peril

Why is Obama getting mad about something he said during a debate? No one made up the story. Obama does not want or like to take responsability for things he says or does. This only highlights he is not to be trusted as a public figure.

Regardless of Bush’s comments and even if they were directed at Carter not Obama…I have to tell you I believe that Obama will be a terrible choice for president…He is more like Bush than McCain….niave and inexperienced and getting advice from the same people who didn’t condemn Carter’s unilateral appeasement and pandering to Hamas.

“And I believe that the success will be fairly easy” and “There’s no doubt in my mind that… we will be welcomed as liberators.” [3/24/03]
“I think we could go in with much smaller numbers than we had to do in the past… I don’t believe it’s going to be nearly the size and scope that it was in 1991.” [9/15/02]
“There’s not a history of clashes that are violent between Sunnis and Shias. So I think they can probably get along.” [4/23/03]
“Overall, I think a year from now, we will have made a fair amount of progress if we stay the course.”  [12/8/05 (Exactly one year before violence in Iraq peaked)]

How rude and divisive for John Edwards to endorse Sen. Obama on the day after Sen. Clinton’s astonishing West Virginia primary? What’s the big rush? Where’s your good manners John Edwards and Barack Obama? Is this a way to treat an American lady? Then in the same breath talk about “party unity?” This is very typical of Obama campaign. Talk endlessly about high ideals for America and then take a real aggressive and abusive “low road!” Is this the “new politics” that Sen. Obama is promising us? Oh, give me a break! But I have to tell you, if our now “presumptive nominee” Sen. Barack Obama is going to be the “real” Democratic nominee, sadly, another “George McGovern” fate tragically awaits the Democratic Party. It’s heartbreaking to watch the DNC self-destruct and its super-delegates squandering the distinct advantage they have to re-gain the White House in 08. But don’t be surprised; knowing the fact that DNC houses the longest list of losers of any American organization! The impending Democratic presidential loss to John McCain has to be blame on the same old politicians who have never won presidential elections, calling the shots for DNC, and fumbling the chances: Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Tom Daschle, Bill Bradley, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi and as you know many of them ran for president and lost, including old George McGovern. Now they are all endorsing and supporting Sen. Obama. They are playing the same old loser’s game. That game is called the “idealism” game. These democrats have a penchant for being indulged in idealism, just like Barack Obama. But he’s trying to sell it to Americans as “new.” That was done before too. As you know idealists like George McGovern never made it Washington. And many of them are examples of such idealist losers. All this has happened before. They all said they are going throw the bums out and clean up Washington. But they all lost to the Republicans. And when you look at things in the light of what happened at the Democratic primaries in Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and in many other states, and especially when you look at the astonishing 41 point victory of Sen. Hillary Clinton over the “presumptive nominee” in West Virginia, isn’t it obvious Sen. Obama can’t win; he isn’t strong enough, his base isn’t wide enough; he has a very narrow but deep base, but not good enough to win a presidential election. There’s lots of importance to West Virginia than meets the eye. The media is not telling you any of this, as usual. Even Jimmy Carter won it. Even Mike Dukakis won it. Sen. Obama has failed to get the support of women, so called “Reagan Democrats” or working class white voters, rural voters, labor union households, Latinos, older Americans and so on; you know in spite of the media spin and promotion Sen. Obama is no more better than another George McGovern or Mike Dukakis! We all know that Black American and city liberals never won presidential elections for democrats. Sen. Obama had successfully maneuvered himself to be the front runner, with a help of zealots in caucuses states to get most of his delegate numbers. No matter how many congressional seats Democrats win in the fall 2008 election if they fail to win the White House, what’s the use? The situation that we have right now─ with President Bush vetoing everything ─isn’t going to change. The unfortunate thing for the Democratic Party in this election cycle is that they have a presidential candidate who really can’t win. Besides there’s even more bad news. Remember, just before the general election in 2004, Massachusetts judge sanctified gay-marriage, which galvanized the conservative vote resulting in John Kerry’s defeat and George Bush narrow win? That is happening again. The gays and lesbians seemed to be determined to give the Republicans another presidential victory! Now that California Supreme Court decision to allow gay-marriage would surly result in lots of social-conservatives going to 2008 polls and ensuring the defeat of Barack Obama, and giving a narrow victory for Republican John McCain, just as it happened before in 2004. The Democratic party it known for its capacity for “Snatching the defeat out of the jaws of victory.” Sen. Obama can’t even change the defeatist dynamic of his own party and how can he propose to save America from its continuing decline?

Posted by: charleychaplin | May 16, 2008, 8:25 pm 8:25 pm

Ask McCain if John F. Kennedy had a “foolish delusion” when he negotiated a deal with Kruschev to end the Cuban Missile Crisis or whether he would have gone to nuclear war to end the crisis.

Posted by: DallasNE | May 16, 2008, 9:17 pm 9:17 pm

If ever I’ve seen a man that should have “DECEIT” written across his forehead its George Bush. Perhaps Bush and McCain are afraid that Obama will find out, how they have been deceiving the leaders of Iraq and Iran if he takes the time to talk to them.

Posted by: Lovly2008 | May 17, 2008, 5:09 am 5:09 am

It was stated that whatever is said about Obama does not stick and that is the TRUTH; because it does not stick this might lead to this nation being saddled with a president that we do not know what are his true intentions and his real agenda. Senator Obama needs some lessons in America geography, the Great Lakes are not in Oregon and there may have been 57 contests but there are only fifty states. Also Arkansas does not border KY. If he is this far out of reach at 46, Senator McCain is doing well for his age.
It was also stated that it is Rovian to say that the best candidate has been tossed aside by the SD’s, it can not be Rovian when it is a fact. To believe otherwise is naive.
