DNC Launches ‘Exxon McCain ’08′
ABC News’ John Santucci Reports: The Democratic National Committee launched an "Exxon McCain ’08" campaign today, seeking to tie Sen. John McCain to "big oil."
"They contributed to the candidate in this race that is most in favor of fueling and juicing big oil prices while working families are getting hit at the pump and the pocketbook every single day," said Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, D-Md. "They have contributed $2 million to John McCain’s campaign more than a million in June after McCain reduced his long standing opposition to offshore oil drilling."
The "Exxon McCain ’08" campaign is a response to the Republican National Committee distributing tire gauges labeled "Obama’s Energy Plan."
A spokesman for the RNC responded to the Democratic campaign by pointing to Sen. Barack Obama’s, D-Ill., vote for the 2005 Bush energy bill that McCain opposed.
"The $2.8 billion that Obama gave the oil companies in the ’05 energy bill would have bought a lot of tire gauges," RNC spokesman Alex Conant said.

I agree the DNC is giving the elephant an easy victory. If they don’t go against the delegates and pick somebody with some spunk and punch and it ain’t Obama, he’d have a hard time finding his way out of a paper bag, and without the person he stole all her ideas from he”s got about as much chance of winning as a snowball has in hell

Senator Obama should not critize Senator McCain for receiving oil money contributions. He too have received over 1/2 million from oil co. and employees.
Question–How much has Obama received from illegal contributions from non-residents of USA?

Whoa. McCain is just another rubber stamping Bush republican who has betrayed America. The DNC will show just how much McCain is in the pocket of oil companies and lobbyists.

This DNC-EXXON crap is as stupid as the GOP’s reference to Paris Hilton and the other slut Brittney Spears. Its all lame. I’ll be enjoying the olimpic games.
Ohh … and please vote McCain 2008, its the best candidate.

Wow, they’re really out of ideas.
That stuff worked with Bush, but won’t work with McCain. I knew that when the media fawned all over McCain for 8 years MERELY because he bucked his party & Bush frequently, that it eventually would come back to haunt them.
And it did. McCain is well respected and no one can undo that now. Period. End of story.

Funny. Seems to me the Oil companies could use the income right about now. How else do you think they can explore and drill bringing new supply on line? Obama wants to hugely tax oil companies which directly taxes anyone who buys gas. Higher energy taxes = less exploration and production, ever increasingly high energy costs, more US wealth transfered to the Middle east, Dollar less valuable, etc etc. It’s all bad for a carbon economy to have dramatically higher costs to run the engine. We need to ween off of oil for sure but in a methodical way that doesn’t kill the golden good in the the process. Most Americans are smart enough to get this. Oboma will loose because he does not.

Republicans are such idiots. They were all waving around their air pressure gauges last night while appearing on c-span. The experts have already weighted in on this debate and Obama has won it since checking air pressure and having a tune up can make a significant savings in fuel. “01.20.09″ the end of an ERROR!!

Liberals can be dumb at times. They harp on big oil profits, much of which will be divided as dividends in 401k and retirement investments. Stockholders benefit from those profits. But Obama wants to place a windfall tax on those profits and give it away to middle class people who have no at risk investments and therefore do not deserve it. Left to Obama’s socialist ideas, the oil companies may decide to change their country of incorporation to another nation. The US would lose the taxes generated. Vote McCain to keep our capitalist society.

SINCE MCCAIN WANTS TO DRILL DRILL AND IT IS PROVEN FACT THAT WE THE PEOPLE WILL GAIN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING—-WHO DO YOU THINK HE IS LOOKING OUT FOR—-BIG OIL–BIG OIL—THEY WILL MAKE BILLIONS MORE AND WE WILL GET (CRAP) OR PERHAPS A MASSIVE OIL SPILL LIKE ALASKA—THAT WOULD WORK WONDERS FOR OUR SOUTHERM BEACHES.
WE SHOULD CALL HIM EXXON JOHN–THE OIL MAN

I’m sick of hearing Republicans pretend they have the answer to high oil prices. (For gods sake, they elected Bush.) Ask yourself this question, given the record profits U.S. oil companies are making, why don’t they increase production rates, and why don’t they build more refineries. The answer is, oil companies don’t want lower prices. Do you think the president of Exxon thinks he’s over paid? They’d love to lift the ban on offshore drilling, but you can be sure they have no plans to drill today. They only want the leases for future drilling. Wakeup!!! Mr. “straight talk” McCain has sold his soul to big oil.
It’s basic economics, restrict supply and prices go up, and that’s how profits are maximized. U.S. Oil companies have been following OPEC’s lead for over 30 years. Lifting the oil ban will not change that.

Wasn’t it Obama who received the maximum contribution amount from the CEO of Exxon/Mobile?

Senator McCain waited until age 64 to run for president. GWB beat him. so now eight years later he is running again. Why didn’t McCain run for president when he was in his late 40s or in his 50s? McCain is known to have had a long-time dream to become president. So, finally, at age 64, he decided he was “qualified” to be our leader. Now at 72 (Aug 28th), he wants to be president just to be president before he keels over. The man is way too old to lead this country, and what is so frightening is how he is ignorant of facts regarding foreign countries. My gosh, if he decides to attack Iran, is he going to confuse its location and attack Saudi Arabia instead, or even Isral?? McCain cannot be trusteed, period.

I don’t know what McCain represents, he jumps all over the place, first he is for something than he is not and vice versa. He mocked and laughed at Senator obama’s suggestion that we all inflate our tires to save gas, yet yesterday he said it was a good idea to save money. Someone figurd out that by inflating our tires we would save 12 cents to a a gallon of gas. Addes up nationwide, this would be a 2-3% savings in gas use and a nice savings onf money spend buying gas.

(Continued) If you save 12 cents on a gallon and you put 20 gallons of gas in your car, you are saving $2.40. If you put that $2.40 in a piggy bank, you can see how much you save per month. Add to that, if you try and run all of your errands in one day, you’ll be saving money and gas also. Estimate how much it would cost to make 4 or 5 trip from your home or work to run the errands separately and estimate how much you using, compare doing all errands in one day. And put that difference in your piggy bank, It will be interesting and fun to see how much you actually save, both in gas and in money. I think we will all surprise ourselves!

McCain bashes Senator Obama with lies and more lies and false accusations and what do we hear from the McCain choir? Amen, Amen, Amen. I gree, Amen, Amen, Amen. The majority of us can see what McCain is doing and it is pretty ugly. McCain does NOT give a speech, a is ONLY capable of READING a speech prepared by ROVE CLONE for McCain to read word for word. You see, even McCain’s gurus do NOT trust him to speak rationally or sensibly….they write everything down for him. If he goes off script…than the campaign says “McCain does not speak for the campaign” LOL. This has already happened!! So, if McCain cannot speak for himself and he does not speak for the campaign, guess he cannot speak for anyone else either. He is a puppet being controlled by ROVE CLONE pulling all this puppet’s strings and the punches (all those nasty untrue ADs). McCain is NO LONGER A MAN, he has become his master’s (ROVE CLONE)PUPPET AND ROVE CLONE IS HIS VENTRILOQUIST.
