Graham on Palin: ‘Ready to Lead’
ABC News’ Ben Newman Reports: Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., made his case this morning that the Republican vice presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is ready to serve in the White House. “She’s tough. She’s talented. She’s ready to lead,” said Graham.
In an exclusive interview with George Stephanopoulos on "This Week," Graham, a longtime friend and staunch supporter of presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain, backed the Arizona senator’s pick. “John McCain is trying to tell the American people I got it… I’ve picked somebody that knows how to fix government, I’ve picked somebody that will stand up to powerful people in her own backyard and together we’re going to change this place,” said Graham.
When questioned whether he would feel safe and confident with Palin as president, should something happen to McCain, Graham responded, “Compared to Barack Obama I think she would make one hell of a commander-in-chief.”
In a separate interview on "This Week," Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts disagreed, challenging Palin’s foreign policy credentials.
“[McCain’s] chosen somebody that has zero, zero experience in foreign policy," said Kerry. "The first threshold test of a president, of a nominee, is choosing a vice president, is to prove to the American people that the person that you have chosen can fill in tomorrow."
Kerry also suggested Palin was not qualified to take over office should tragedy strike McCain. “I’m sure she is a terrific person,” he said. “I’m not attacking her. I think John McCain’s judgment is once again put at issue because he has chosen somebody who clearly does not meet the national security threshold, who is not ready to be president tomorrow.”
Graham claimed, however, that Palin’s executive experience as governor trumps the experiences of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama. “She’s been a governor. She’s been in charge of the National Guard. What has Senator Obama done in terms of managing a war? His judgment when it comes to matters of war had been terrible.
Contradicting suggestions that former supporters of Hillary Clinton, Obama’s rival in the hard-fought Democratic primaries, will flock to the McCain-Palin ticket, Kerry claimed the policy differences between the two women makes it highly unlikely.
The people who supported Hillary Clinton are not going to be seduced just because John McCain has picked a woman," Kerry said. "They’re going to look at what she supports. The fact that she doesn’t even support the notion that climate change is manmade — she’s back there with the Flat Earth Caucus. I think it’s almost insulting to the Hillary supporters that they believe they would support somebody who is against almost everything that they believe in.”

These same comments could be made in reference to all three current male candidates. Clearly, Palin is more qualified than any of them. McCain should put the “country first,” and step aside to let Palin head the GOP ticket.

Based on comments from Graham, Giuliani, and other GOP hacks, Palin is actually more qualified than McCain.

Actually Obama has demonstrated excellent executive skills. Obama has run the best run Democratic campaign EVER. It is the most efficient, most disciplined, and most organized Dem campaign ever.
Also, Obama has raised more money than anybody EVER has raised in a primary.
Obama has over 1,000 employees and has a budget of $100 million.
Obama has demonstrated his executive skills.

Why wasn’t Governor Palin making the case for herself? Hard to make the case she’s ready to lead if she’s not even ready for the Sunday morning shows.

“Ready to lead” as class president.
I bet you right now McCain regrets chosing Palin as his VP. Of all the qualified office elected Republican women he could have choose, he choose the MOST unqualified one. And now he has to defend his choice. Poor judgement.
McCain just handed Obama the election on a golden platter.

Yeah you really convinced me John “I shot myself in the butt, now where is my purple heart” Kerry.

Ms Palin leadership skills include her husband strong arming and getting very involved with anyone that challenges her. There was a petition when she was mayor to recall her. Something about firing people that didn’t vote for her, Like the local police chief, and a local librarian. All this will come out as we “get to know” Sarah Palin.

Obama is going to use his campaign experience to show he has leadership qualities? Lets see, in a campaign you spend everyone else’s money, as fast as you can, usually on commercials that nobody wants to watch. I guess that does sound like his presidential strategy. Raise taxes and spend money on big government programs that nobody wants.
Lets not vote for Obama-nation.

Governor Palin is a bone the RNC threw to a specific demographic. So be it – that’s politics, cynical as usual. What all American women have to realize is what an extreme conservative she is on all issues. Family planning, for example: no contraception for married couples, for example. No abortion in the case of rape or incest. An informed choice – pro or con – is critical. Karl Rove”s statement that Senator Obama would make a political choice for VP was incorrect. It”s actually Senator McCain who made that choice and it is one that, by all acounts, he did not want. Senator Lieberman was his pick. The sad thing is that this demographic continually allows itself to be manipulated by the current clique in the Republican party.

As a sucesful working & married mother of 3 I’m insulted by Mr McCain’s choice for VP. He seems to think that just because he picks a woman, any woman for that matter, all women will vote for him.
He seems to think women are stupid or something?
Even worse, Sara knows it and even talks about it openly. I’m I the only one who is o troubled by it?
Mr McCain based his first executive decision on politics only, the good of the people or nation had nothing to do with his pick. come on, there had to be much better VP picks within the GP.
He didn’t pick someone to help or counsel in case of international crisis or that could take office if something happens to the eldest elected president.
Mr McCain, i find your first executive decision reckless and sad.
Mr McCain, I can’t vote for you now.

@0,
“A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School”
Elitist.
“He taught constitutional law”
He voted to give Bush the power to spy on you, taking your constitutional right away.
“a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress”
He literally spent 143 days in the Senate, spending 2.5 years running around to deceive voters and then accusing them poor, less-educated and bitter who only knows clinging to guns and God to release their anger.
“He also made OFFICIAL TRIPS to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.”
This made him a world class celebrity, which was in fact made possible after his opponent challenged him to take one trip. In Kenya, he found his half-brother living in poverty at $1 per month, yet he did nothing, abandoned him. Like father, like son; a true one of a kind and Dreams from his father.
“Energy Independence”
Not a single word of “nuclear” energy in his entire 60 page platform.

My concern is that McCain almost made it his campaign theme about Obama’s ‘young’ age and that he was inexperienced and then McCain turns around and chooses someone to immediately step into the #1 role if something bad were to happen to him who is not only younger than Obama but no experience who he just met once??? Dose this mean that McCain is a hypocrite with questionable judgment or just a flat out liar – or both???

McCain should have chosen Romney. Michigan would’ve been in play and if the Republican had taken Michigan it would be near impossible for the Dems to win. Oh well. I’m glad. McCain just made this race easier for Obama.

Vanessa,
The question you should really question yourself is “Can you imagine Biden and 0-bama debating on foreign policy”.
Actually, you saw it, and Biden declared that 0-bama, His Nothingness, is unqualified, unprepared, unfit to be the President.
Then, you need to ask yourself why you voted for him, blindly, to put your country at risk.

I know it. You want the VP to run the country (which actually is a good thing between Zerobameus and Biden), but at the same time you have a Trophy Black President.

I agree that Palin’s experience is not that much more qualifying than Obama’s, but she is the V.P. nominee. What is really scary is to think of someone with a total absence of executive experience (Obama) in the White House at this time.
Posted by: Gordon McCauley | August 31, 2008, 11:54 am 11:54 am
Technically she has more executive experience. When she was mayor of a town of 7000, that prepared her for facing the Fannie and Freddie problems. When she was governor of Alaska which gets lots of Federal assistance and no she did not return it, that prepared her to sit across from Putin. btw, Alaska is close to Russia. Obama has been campaigning for 18 months and has shown that he has the knowledge of the issues. Two months is not going to tell us much about Palin except that she can give a good rotary club speech.

rant3000,
That’s why I believe McCain just handed the election to Obama.
McCain sole argument was Obama is “inexperienced”. Then he goes and choses someone whose not only younger then Obama but has even less experience then Obama. She governed a town who’s population is less then my old high school.
McCain could’ve had the republican base out no matter whom he chose as long as he/she were pro-life. But what he just lost is the Independent base.
McCain is 72 years old and has had numerous run ins with cancer. Instead of chosing someone whom he can rely on to help him govern or someone who can quickly fill in if he were to pass, he chose someone based on the politics.
McCain placed Politics before Country. He went to the extreme right rather then the middle.
And I’m absolutely positive Biden will unknowingly point this out during he and Palin’s first VP debate.
And from what I’ve heard and seen so far on different blogs with ACTUALLY Hillary supporters this isn’t falling out to well with them. You can’t just put a skirt on a women and expect every women to vote for her especially if this women is so pro-life to the extent where it doesn’t matter if the women was raped.
And now McCain has to defend his choice. I have a feeling deep inside McCain regrets chosing her.

In the last twenty years our public schools systems have fallen from the envy of the world, to twentieth. 12 of those years were under Bush’s and 8 under Clinton. Do you really think that someone who want creationism along side evolution will improve our standing. Science teachers should not be required to take religion classes in order to discuss or teach creationism. That is not the way to attract the best and the brightest. The theory of evolution opened the door to the study of DNA which opened the door to advancements in medication and better Cancer Treatments. Now that’s evolution I can believe in. She does not believe that global warming is man-made so China, you keep on polluting. We will no longer need clean coal because it’s not a problem.

Obama is the JOKE, a socialist/communist/Marxist coming out in the Democratic Party Attire. He has embellished and lied about his acheivements and his ‘I wills’ can not measure up to Palen’s ‘I haves’.
Guess that is scary to the Democrats. McCain/Palen–the road toward a better tomorrow for America. Obama, a road backward to socialism and bad times. Obama is preparing to tax your dirty laundry. LOL–FOS

The presidential nominee does not need experience. Obama’s record is his rhetoric about what he can do.
His party controlled congress for 2 years and what did he do to bring people together and passed what legislation?
Nancy Pelosi didn’t do anything. Throw that bitch out.

All of the pro-Obama comments I’ve read so far reek of ignorance….and parroting allegations against Palin that are not even true. McCain met her once?? He’s been interested in her as a potential running mate for months. I see why Obama’s empty promises and clueless BS wrapped up in pretty words is so appealing to his followers — I mean, it’s easy to fool gullible uniformed blind sheep who can’t think for themselves.

This article proves that Sen. Lindsey Graham and other social conservatives are mentally deranged, if what it says is true. Palin is so obviously unprepared to be President of the United States, that one would have to laugh at the proposition, if it wasn’t so dangerous to the United States. Can you see this woman as President successfully dealing with the likes of Putin, Iran, North Korea, the Economy, Global Warming, etc. I can’t!!! The election of Palin as V.P. would prove once and for all that the American Electorate has become so unintelligent that it can no longer govern itself. McSame’s decision smacks of recklessness, irrationality, and a complete lack of discretion. McSame has put the security of the United States in grave jeopardy with the nomination of this woman to the Office that is one heartbeat away from the Presidency.

But hey, on the bright side our great American candidate John McCain doesn’t have to put up a STOP THE SMEARS website for the thousands of rumors/truths about BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. Have you ever heard of a candidate before that has to control so much of his image because no one knows him, or can give character witness except his mean, angry wife Michelle?
Thank God McCain has a history and a reputation that he does’t have to set up web site to dispell rumors.
ALL AMERICAN JOHN McCAIN/SARAH PALIN!

Oh, “one heartbeat away” is going to be the catch phrase by camp Bozo. McCain will serve out one full term as Pres, but BO on the other hand could be assassinated and has more of a chance of Biden being “one heartbeat away”…ya know his candidate of CHANGE.
Politics as usual Biden.
Palin will do great and maybe in 2012 it will be a Palin vs. Hillary campaign.
Posted by: Debra | August 31, 2008, 12:34 pm 12:34 pm
Um, Obama has campaign advisers to run his campaign. He’s a first term senater. He has no foreign policy experience. One quick trip around the world didn’t do much to convince anybody. Me included. That’s why he picked Biden. I’d say both sides are pretty equal as far as experience goes. Stick to the issues. Obama can help us move forward, help the middle class back to the middle.. McCain will keep us in the horrible mess we are in. Or worse push us backwards. Though Palin appears to be an intelligent, strong and competant woman, her views are not in keeping with most working women. I think the Obama camp better investigate her stance on the issues. And then make their case. It would serve them better.

For all of you who think this was a great choice by McCain, think again, he did not choose her. He wanted Joe Lieberman but was told by the Republican Party big wigs to put her on the ticket.
The party determined he needed an anti-abortion running mate that would deliver the Christian Conservative voters. This move is nothing more than pandering to religious zealots! Vote for the big O!

She’s a nutter! Anti-science, anti-choice, pro-death, pro-oil, and pro-abuse of power. This shores up the Christian radicals in the country, but we will not be duped again. Science and reason will not be crucified for these archaic beliefs.
McCain fails to grasp that Sen. Obama is not the change, his approach to governance is. Obama is, and has been through the continual republican slanderfest, cool calm and collected. He is the product of some of our highest institutes of learning and has demonstrated great judgment regarding foreign affairs, energy, the environment and reform. His economic positions are not based on punishing business, but by bringing balance back to our economic systems. When business rules government and makes their own rules our power, the power of our great citizenry, is corrupted and the nation suffers.
McCain, this election is about vision. It’s about harnessing our innovation and intelligence, about aspiring to causes greater than the short-sighted gains of bloated bureaucrats, lobbyists and their constituents. We want to rebuild our electrical grid and develop our renewable resources so that we can free ourselves from foreign energy. We want to renew our standing in the world and reinvigorate world politics because we understand we are not alone in this world and that not only are the world’s problems are ours as well, but that they require more than bravado to solve. We want to provide the basic underpinnings of a smoothly functioning democracy; education, health and opportunity. And yes, it will take hard work and sacrifice as we strive towards these goals, but I for one am willing.
McCain, you my friend are still looking behind you, and while your choice in Palin is to be acknowledged as a step forward for the republican party, your policies and approaches to governance have failed. Hillary Clinton is a great woman, Palin pales in comparison, and your nod to her as your VP is indicative of your cynicism and disrespect for the American people and women in particular. To use the women’s struggle as a divisive political tool is disturbing to say the least, and I have faith in the daughters of America to recognize your long record of sexism in both your political and personal life.

Mothering dot com members say Sarah Palin is “Ready To Lie.”
A photo shows Palin’s very obviously changes in pregnancy. And they feel the way she handled the issue is not about being a good mom. It’s part of a history of firing two people who didn’t vote for her, troopergate, being on both sides of ‘a bridge to nowhere.’ Two major Alaskan newspapers both say having her on the ticket is a mistake in judgement for McCain. A poor choice.

Andrew Halcro did exceptionally well in his campaign. I really don’t think he is a sore loser. Andrew just cares about where this State is going and feels the current governor is leading us to disaster. If you would just take the time to study the issues like he has, you would be outraged too. But you don’t. You don’t think things through which is what Andrew kept saying about Ms. Palin during the campaign. Tony Knowles said the same thing. Ms. Palin could not answer any questions. She never said anything intelligent. Now we are stuck with someone who still can’t make an intelligent statement or decision. You should be outraged too, unless you are another of those that think it is okay to lie like the governor.

Attention posters – forgotten in your Palin is better than all three senators commentary is that McCain DOES have executive experience – he ran the Navy’s biggest bomber squadron for 5 years.
Biden and Obama have never run anything in government. Biden has never run anything, Obama did run the CAC, which doled out 100 million dollars to radical leftists with Ayers’ help, and, according to the CAC, achieved “little”
Posted by: JG | August 31, 2008, 3:45 pm 3:45 pm
Executive experience isn’t what I’m after. I’m not making my decision based on that.
We’re in a terrible economic situaiton right now. I’ve not heard anything but tax cuts as the republican solution to that. Tax cuts are not the be-all and end-all. The stagnation of wages, and high cost of living have not been addressed while attacking my patriotism for disagreeing.
I’m voting for Obama and Biden because they have addressed the economic situation that is killing America. I love my country. I don’t want to see the high rates of poverty, of joblessness, of people working jobs that don’t pay enough to live on, of how very few living wage jobs there are. Making large companies pay their taxes, and then using those tax dollars to help spur a green economy is a good thing. It will create jobs. People who earn the living wage will be able to help the consumer based economy, and then we’ll crawl out of this recession, finally.
So please, don’t come back and tell me how stupid I am for not voting right wing. I’m thinking wth my wallet. All of you should be. Any attempt to use morality as your platform in an election year just proves how clueless you are on the actual problems the country has.
And please, don’t just say “Obama Bad, McCain good.” All you’re showing me is that you have the literacy skills end with bumper sticker slogans. And THAT is stupid idiocy.

Asking exactly what the VP does is a very legitimate question. Can anyone answer that? Maybe Obama should have asked what the President does but I doubt he could muster the intelligence to ask the question, let alone answer it.

Republican woman, stay away from me. Republican woman, mama let me be. Don’t come hangin’ around my door. I don’t wanna see your face no more. I got more important things to do. Than spend my time growin’ old with you. Republican woman, get away from me. I don’t need your war machines. I don’t need your beauty queens. Coloured lights can hypnotize. Sparkle someone else’s eyes. Goodbye, Republican woman. Goodbye, Republican chick. Goodbye, Republican broad … (Adapted from The Guess Who’s American Woman)

After reading most of the negative, skewed comments on the blogs about the good governor from Alaska, I believe that I could detect a lot of fear, fear that Sarah Palin will show the people that Obama is just another one of those unpopular Washington insiders that has never seen a big government program that he didn’t like.
What really galls me is the audacity of that little twerp Obama thinks he knows what is better for me than I do myself.Name: trueblueamerican

I think that what is important for a presidential/vice presidential ticket is balance. No one person will ever have all the qualities that are necessary to be president. That is the point of having a cabinet & Congress. It’s all about balance.
Obama is EXTREMELY inexperienced in terms of executive leadership, national security and foreign policy; however, Joe Biden complements him in this area, especially national security.
McCain is strong in national security and foreign policy and Palin complements him in executive leadership.
Personally, I have more confidence in someone with less experience as the second on a ticket instead of being the first.
As an African-American I am proud of Obama’s achievements; however, as a Christian I do not support his policies, especially on social and moral issues.
When it comes down to it, every person should vote for the candidate who best supports their political ideals and who they believe will leader America in a better direction. Right and Wrong are subjective- I’d like to be believe that we can do and be better than we are now!

I think the way to some peoples about this election is but just about abortion or religious belief I think that this election is about more then a woman who have the ability to give birth to five kids and one of them is a handicaped one I my self have many childrens and one of them is handicaped with multiple paralisist and soffer seizure in a regular basis evryday afther wake up she have seizure so that just a birth defect and there is a milion of peoples like that in America did that qualify them all to be vice president including my self I dont think so I think some people realy make foolish the values of wish is the practice of the American people way of choosing the elected person to run America and make decision on they’s behalf it’s Ironic to see how John MCcain Himself is trying to undersized the potentialial of the Oval office and what it represent so it sad but fortunately this is just the Idea of John MCcain in not the American peoples because the American peoples know better especially when He Himself Have said this exactly what it needed in order to gain the trust of woman voters who once support Hillary and the evangelical groups ofr peoples is that sound politic I know there a saying that politician think peoples are ??? well I believe that certainly excluded exclusively the American people so no way no lock no MCCain and no Palin America need better then that and America know better then that God Bless America and God Bless senator Obama and senator Biden.

It’s hard to believe that these blogs are coming from Adults. If they are is’s scary. Wasn’t there a nursery rhyme that said names will never hurt me. Why do people resort to name calling. Elections are won by majority rule. And we know who America flocks to. So others should just sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s going to be lovely. God Bless you we love you an OBAMA Supporter.

It will be interesting how Sarah Palin comes accross over the next couple of months. Based on her history of past success, I am confident she will do well.
Women should not vote for her because she is a women. They should vote for her because she has proven she can get things done.
No one should vote for her because she is a women. They should vote for her because she has core values and is interested in doing the right thing even if it means calling Republicans to task.

vickie: I think you have that all wrong. Obama is not for the country but for himself to make history and the heck with you. I see him as a dumbo graduate of Harvard that probably passed him thru to get rid of him. Obama has missed the senate over 130 times, said he was against the war but wasn’t there for the voting, wants to sit down and talk to the enemy over coffee and will give Bin Laden the death penalty. You cannot do that in this country without a trial. This is not a communist country. Obama doesn’t think when he’s making some of his statements. As far as experience, what experience does Obama have? He doesn’t know politics or foreign policy like Kerry said and that’s why he picked Biden. Biden will run the country but Obama will be president in name only.

McCain VP Choice Is Religious Right Money Play To Fund McCain! McCain Is Putting Religious Right Over the Country First!
McCain has proven he has no judgment and has sold out to the Religious Right! Forget putting Country first; McCain is putting the Religious Right First! The new McCain campaign slogan now is “The Country First move over, the Religious Right is Taking Over”. This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain! Today McCain is saying anyone can be President if they buy McCain’s vote with his nobody pick of Palin for VP. An old lobbyist turns to the money base with his VP choice! Big money is already rolling into McCain’s coffers from the Religious Right!
McCain has sold out to the Religious Right! If Palin is qualified to be VP, then I am qualified too! Palin is no Hillary Clinton! Palin is an insult and affront to woman rights and woman liberation! Kevin Kline did it best in the Movie “In and Out” about a gay teacher shunned by the religious right. The movie ends with everyone supporting the teacher saying “I am gay too”! In this case everyone should be saying “If Palin is qualified to be VP, then I am too”! Rush Limbaugh would be a more qualified VP candidate! This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain!
Hello! We just had a Richter 11.0 Religious Right earthquake and the news says that it is novel and was a surprise! McCain’s Religious Right VP pick is so totally outrageously unqualified it is pathetic! David Gergen of CNN is one of the only analysts shocked at the totally unqualified selection of Palin by McCain. McCain picked a VP for the Religious Right who was a mayor of a tiny town less than two years ago and has a few months as “governor” of the tiny state population of 673,000 which is less than the population of the Twin Cities area! An old lobbyist turns to the money base with his VP choice! McCain has sold out to the Religious Right!
Hello! Anybody with any common sense out there! McCain just picked an incompetent VP for the Religious Right to perform the most important job in the world and the news reaction is to repeatedly say they are “surprised” at the “interesting” selection as if it was some novel story about Hockey Moms! Has the news media gone off a cliff! The Religious Right just selected McCain’s VP and proves McCain is owned by the Religious Right! The new McCain campaign slogan now is “The Country First move over, the Religious Right is Taking Over”. McCain has sold out to the Religious Right!
We just witnessed the complete total incompetence of cable news media to report this VP disaster by the GOP Religious Right as a human interest spin story! The only interest is WHO IS CONTROLLING THE MEDIA SPIN! The Religious Right represents a small fraction of the population, but one would think that it was 80% or more listening today to the cable news programming! The cable media has joined McCain in the Religious Right LA-La land! This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain!
Palin must be dumb as a box of rocks as revealed in this staggering MSNBC interview where she did not even understand what the VP position meant! “As for the prospect of her being vice president, Palin told Kudlow that she could not answer the question of whether she wanted the job “until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day. I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here.” Talk about a ditto head bimbo! A perfect mindless beauty pageant contestant!
What is most horrifying is that the media and Cable News has suddenly become the Religious Right Cable News network in support of the religious right zealot conservative Palin! The news programming has become a bad episode of the “Twilight Zone”. Suddenly 80% of the news programming is Religious Right “human Interest” stories, i.e., GOP Spin Propaganda! It is offensive and insulting that McCain and the Religious Right delude themselves to even pretend that Palin would attract even one Hillary Vote! An old lobbyist turns to the money base with his VP choice!
The cable media and Religious Right clearly knows exactly how pathetic the McCain VP choice is and how pathetic their biased news coverage has been! Even an idiot knows you don’t pick a small town mayor for the most important job in the world! So the question is WHO IS CONTROLLING THE NEWS MEDIA SPIN! This VP pick is a power play by the Religious Right to run the Country!
The Religious Right are now running the GOP show of lies, smears, and deception! Palin is a Saudi Hockey Mom who runs a charity welfare State paid for 85% by our Federal funding tax dollars! The oil and gas in Alaska is on Federal land and owned by the Federal government. It is easy to run a charity state paid for by Federal tax money! Let Alaska pay their way like every other state, and her incompetence will be glaring. Alaska is a giant welfare State to the tune of 85% of their budget! This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain!
Palin is a bad Religious Right joke running a charity state and pretending to be a fiscal conservative. All Palin wants is more money for Big Oil, like McCain and Bush. Palin lobbies to get every Federal handout she can get. Palin strongly supported the Bridge to Nowhere in 2006 until it became a national embarrassment. The Anchorage Daily News quoted her on Oct. 22, 2006, as saying yes, she would continue state funding for the bridge because she wanted swift action on infrastructure projects. “The window is now while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist,” she said. Palin and Alaska receive 85% of their income from our national resources. All revenue from sale of national resources should be used to reduce the national debt and should not be used to fund the State budget or Big Oil. Follow the Religious Right and oil money! This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain!
The public should be reminded that Palin, like the Religious Right, thinks global warming is a myth and wants creationism taught in schools! McCain is now owned by the Religious Right! The stark denial of the fact of global warming and science of evolution is not surprising considering Palin is a journalism major, Religious Right zealot, and supports Big Oil. All Palin want to do, like the GOP, is to drill for more oil to get more of our money from our national resources for her State and Big Oil. Now the Religious Right wants to run our Country! This Religious Right power play by McCain must be exposed for the disastrous choice it represents! This VP choice is a money play for the Religious Right to fund McCain!

Palin has forgotten more leadership and executive skills than Obama thinks he knows. His “depth” of experience places him in a ranking lower even than Bush according to the American public opinion on the Congress and Senate.
Obama knows image, knows smoke, mirrors, and how to vote “present”.

Palin is the real change the Obama purports to be offering. Dem’s conveniently claim “she’s totally unqualified” which is simply their pathetic, impotent response to the Real Change, Opportunity, and Improvement that the Mccain/Palin ticket offers normal Americans.

I’ve part of the Draft Palin movement since John McCain became the presumptive nominee. Sarah Paling is uniquely qualified to be the VP running mate based on her exceptional executive abilities, her courage at taking on long embedded political corruption which too often means one’s own political suicide. She also has sound and detailed understanding of energy issues as it relates to National Security and was a successful fiscal reformer who used tax surplus to refund taxes to Alaska citizens. She is the most popular Governor in the Union and won praise from members of all political parties. She is a strong social conservative who puts her strong moral and ethical values to practice. She is intelligent, articulate without a script or teleprompter and has a personal charism that can bring out the best in others and the country. Thank you John McCain for bringing Saral Palin to us. McCain.Palin ’08 A WINNER

That is one thing I admire about the Republicans. They are persistent even if they are wrong. They are good at convincing themselves.Even if they know in their heart that they are wrong and lying to themselves. They love their party more than their country.

How can she be ready to lead if she is not even ready to be interviewed. Mccain has made a completely political choice in his selection for VP in an atttempt to energize the Christian Right and in doing so put a totally inexperienced right wing nut case a heart beat away from the Oval Office if he is elected!
