I Was The Reporter Sent to Cover Bigfoot

The Most Audacious Bigfoot Claim Yet
By Laura Marquez I’ve covered many news conferences in my career as a reporter but this one had to be one of the strangest I’ve ever attended, complete with a man dressed in a gorilla costume. It only seems fitting given the nature of the announcement. Two men from Georgia, 26 year old Matt Whitton and 31 year old Ric Dyer, claim they actually have the body of a big foot creature in an undisclosed location. Clearly there were plants in this packed news conference as the first question began with a note of congratulations for the two and their magnificent find. Whitton and Dyer who right up front said they originally didn’t believe in Bigfoot explained how they were camping in the woods of North Georgia, no exact location given, when they stumbled upon the body of a creature they described as looking like a "human ape creature." Whitton postured, "We were not big foot hunters, but we are now the best big foot trackers in the world" That kind of boasting has apparently irked many in the big foot community who Dyer pronounced "97% wackos." Whitton and Dyer say they’re received death threats after they made their discovery public. They say with the help of three friends, they dragged the dead Bigfoot, all 500 pounds and 7 feet, 7 inches of him, to a flatbed truck and drove it to their house where they put it in a freezer. But Dyer said, "our freezer broke a couple of times" so we filled the freezer up with water hoping to keep the carcass cold. They didn’t contact any authorities or scientists because "they didn’t know who they could trust." They brought in big foot hunter Tom Biscardi who’s been in the Bigfoot tracking business since 1971. He’s seen the body and swears this is the real deal. "We’ve got the body," Biscardi said, "all you naysayers will be eating crow." Where is the evidence you might ask. The media did. Alas, there was no body, but they did provide a couple of photos of it. When one reporter shouted out, "how much money do you expect to make from this?" Biscardi replied, "as much as we can."

As much as we can? There’s the real answer for you. It’s a hoax or they would have provided a body. Move on, move on. There’s nothing to see here….apparently.

There is no Bigfoot, he’s just a big Wookie. Now if you can just find the remains of Jabba the Hut I’ll be interested.

They did not know who they could trust? Baloney. They knew very well that if nothing else, they could have taken it to the nearest publicly owned City Zoo. Even if the vets and staff at the zoo did not recognize the species, they’d be able to verify in minutes whether it was a hoax or a real animal. And by being a taxpayer owned and funded zoo, everything would have to be above board.
