We don’t watch "The View" often (usually busy at that hour) but this seemed a particularly meaty and provocative exchange on that program this morning…

Good for Barbara, about time someone actually asked hard questions, notice she didn’t get any answers except wrong ones. Palin didn’t turn back earmark spending as governor, she raked it in.

Walters is upset Palin didn’t turn a profit on the sale of the jet???
OK, nice criticism there. Get real.

Christie,
In her interview with John McCain, she asked him specific questions about the changes that Sarah Palin is supposed to make in Washington. In his replies, he continuously avoided straight answers and only gave his evasive propaganda speeches.
We the American women should rally against Palin, because she is not one of us, she is the contrary of any aspiration women can have on earth. The long fight women has undertaken is threatened by Palin’s ascension because of McSame’s lack of judgement. God save women from Palin and God save Amnerica from McPalin.
Now, you really can’t expect Barbara Walters to respect much about Palin … after all, her affair with a married man, gives her a very different view on life than the happily married Palin.
Barbara is just a bit biased here … but then she is on the A(all)B(barack)C(channel)!!!

Pray tell, Barbara & co. were so abrasive to McCain and busy trying to score points with the media and their Hollywood pals for Obama’s sake that they’re turning off the people that a presidential candidate needs to win: voters.
Good!
I think Senator McCain assumed he would be talking to the People magazine crowd, since that’s where he’s been focusing his interviews as of late.
Barbara Walters has met and interviewed many heads of state and I think her questions should be treated with the respect she has earned in her career as a trailblazing journalist.
Posted by: SET | September 12, 2008, 1:47 pm 1:47 pm
And Barb always says the one thing she admires of anyone, is that they are tolerate. Talking about having it both ways. I think she needs to head on out to the dinosaur farm and retire. What does she offer to the public debate that would be positive. How old is she, McCain’s 72, she’s maybe, 92.
And what’s with McCain’s “if only Obama would have joined in the Town Hall meetings” crap?
What? Play by my rules or I won’t play by any?!?!?! What. A. Tool!

These women never would have treated Biden, Obama or Hilary Clinton as rudely as they did McCain. The usual liberal bias media at work. The same with the Charlie Gibson / Sarah Palin interview- he was talking DOWN to her! Women should be proud that another woman has a shot at the vice presidancy!
Oh, I forgot, conservative women can’t
be looked upon as feminists can they?
McCain looked very statesmanlike in putting up with Baba Wawa’s shrill whines on The View. And what’s with the rapid-fire blinking of her eyes when she tries to make a point?
You ladies never disappoint–always rude, uninformed, biased, and anti-American. How can you look at yourselves in the mirror every morning?Your lack of courtesy to John McCain was unconscionable. You make no effort to be fair and balanced. Why go through the sham of talking to McCain when you might as well just say “We only love Obama” and to hell with everyone who doesn’t.

Republicans are feeling buyers remorse today.
Their “heros” are getting trounced simply because they are being asked to actually back up what they’ve been spewing for two weeks.
No doubt, Palin will never be allowed to campaign by herself for fear she’ll be exposed even further. And McCain can’t get anyone to listen to him without Palin. A perfect couple!
The Old Man and the Bulldog, a new comedy from the GOP, will soon be released on DVD!

ok, just another charlie gibson, wannabe; again, i used to be a great fan of abc, including good morning america, news with cb; the view; oh, i’ll carry it further, also cnn; guess what, these stations have lost one big fan; go fox, at least you are not bias; you all need to treat everyone equal; i bet if questions like th ones thrown at sara by cb and as rude as barbara was with senator mccain had been thrown at bho, he (as he always does) would’ve made a fool of himself (can’t talk or speak without his teleprompter)
I love the View but today I thought certain people were on the attack as you watch Whoopie kept winking at Joy and Barabra was angery the way she asked her question. I hope when Obama, comes on they asked the tough question like did to John McCain. Barabra and Whoopie were rude. At lease Joy was repectful. Today was very disapointing for me the way certain Host, acted. They better asked Obama the same and not soft ball him and treat him like a star.
Obama was treated completely different. What about the comment from Whoopi concerning slaverly and the constitution????? Crazy and to think a women like Barb Walters was apart of this is even worse. Makes her look dumb to be sitting next to someone who makes comments like that.

It amazes me to see how the whining about the treatment of Palin. Nobody ‘talked down to her’. She’s being treated as an equal. Unfortunately…she’s not an equal and it shows in HER responses.
I guess we’ll have to just wait for the next “hard hitting” interview next week on FOX. I’m sure they’ll get it just right. HAH!
Posted by: dave | September 12, 2008, 1:53 pm 1:53 pm
It is obvious that Barbara Walters and the girls of the
View have made up their mind about all the issues. It
is not a pretty sight to watch someone who thinks they
“know it all” no matter how experienced they may seem. Walters didn’t use eye contact and her body language clearly showed she had an agenda from the start of the interview. Thank goodness we women don’t have to look to the likes of these woman to make our decision!

Yep, they never treated Bo like that. I remember Behar practically having the big O over BO. Gushing over him & telling him they thought that he was sexy. Pathetic!
ABC is being SLAMMED all over the internet for BONZO JOURNALISM

Barbara Walters should be back doing prime time interviews.
She and the ladies are the first questioners who expected McCain to straight shoot his answers and let him have it when didn’t.
Brava!
And did you hear him say he believed Roe vs Wade was a bad law and it is one of the first things Sarah Palin would do to reform Washington–help put justices on the Supreme Court who agree with them.
He graciously said they would not reinstitute slavery.
Why should anyone respect this man?
He stood behind commercials which are outright lies and smears.
Anyone who put up the gutter education ad ought to be run up to Alaska with his soulmate.

Why do all Republicans think that the major news networks, i.e. NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, all lean toward Obama? Do these networks know something we don’t? Only Fixed Noise Channel (FOX) attacks Obama every chance it gets. Could it be that all the other main stream media networks just seem to prefer Obama’s politics to the Bush/Cheney/McCain brand? That should tell us something about who is right and who is wrong!
Newsflash.
The majority of American women are not represented by those we see on tv. Like Obama said, the Clinton era, been there, done that (Barb supported and sided with Oprah for Obama and wouldn’t support Hillary) when she and Oprah always said women were never treated fairly compared to men). She almost had a lovefest with Obama. You decide.
If THE NEWS MEDIA KEEPS PICKING ON GOV. PALIN IT IS GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST BACKLASH IN HISTORY!

Why the hell would McCain go on a show with this bunch of nitwits? These morons are the reason Sarah Palin is so popular. The more these leftist elitists
disparage Sarah the more support she will receive from real men & women.
I can’t believe what McCain said about honoring the forefathers constitution, where apond Whoppi was in horror that she could become a Slave..Why would anyone think (Mc Cain) people 200+yrs ago, would have any answer’s for todays life styles..Does anyone have an original thought or idea’s.Yes the constitution does work in many areas’s and is great. But come on.You dont have to fall back on it,when your clueless…Try your own thoughts..

I don’t typically watch The View because they do not represent real American women. However, I was curious as to how they would treat McCain after fawining all over Obama. Would they be equally fair and respectfull? Would they have any integrity at all? The answer….a resounding NO!!!! Just makes my blood boil. I’ll definetely never watch them again and I’ll also suggest that none of my friends, family, or coworkers watch. Shame, shame, shame on The View!

I am seeing a trend with the liberal media (ABC, NBC, CNN)…When they interview our republican candidates, they become very abrasive, talking down on the candidates… They seem very arogant and opinionated, there is no doubt in my mind that there is a conspiracy against Sarah Palin and John McCain by the liberal media. I was outraged to watch Barbara Walters trying so hard to score points with the media. I was very disapointed to see Charlie Gibson do the same thing as he interviewed Sarah Palin. I thought that Charie Gibson knew better but I guess not…
Posted by: Carmen | September 12, 2008, 2:10 pm 2:10 pm
Again, here we go with people saying that they are rude and talking down to a candidate. What is there to understand that McCain has been throwing mud for weeks and people want him to answer for it. Does it make him uncomfortable? Probably, but if you are going to dish it, you better be able to take it. Thank you to The View for making him accountable for what comes out of his mouth!
Mccain throwing mud? BO invented it with Hillary & then they slammed Palin for being a “small town mayor” overlooking the fact she was govenor! I can’t wait until BO loses. I will laugh because the Dems will have thrown it away again on stupidity for not picking the right candidate! Hillary! They’re going down!
I’m a proud “liberal” – which seems to be the default definition of anyone who dares say anything other than that McCain and the Republicans are the best and only party.
I believe in the Constitution and the First Amendment, and if John McCain and his running mate lie, I will counter those lies. If I feel that John McCain and his running mate hold views incompatible with mine, I will vote for another candidate.
It is legal and right that candidates for high office are asked tough questions about their views and platform – McCain has certainly been more tha n reude in the last weeks, maybe that’s the only tone you can take with him.

I think barbara & whoppie were extremely rude to senator McCain. I watch the view all the time and I expected the girls to treat Senator McCain with the same respect they gave to Obama.Whoppie’s remark about slavery was just ignorant!!! Barbara was extremely biased and looked like an IDIOT !!!!!!! Was Elizabeth told not to speak or what?? even joy showed respect.
Goldie, think about this… She came to Wasilla as mayor and got a town with a surplus budget. When she left, the town was $27Million in debt. That is a town of less than 10,000 people!!!!
Barbara Walters asked a question and did not get a straight answer and got pissed. How is that disrespectful? who is being disrespectful in Mcsame by not answering the question. This is an old tactic of the modern GOP… Cry as loud as possible when someone gets called out.
It’s a catfight show. Why anyone even care what they say?

Republicans should get it through their heads – if your candidates are going to tell lie after lie after lie after lie after lie then you should expect people to eventually turn on them.
Sarah Palin has lied on every stump speech about her record.
John McCain has lied about Palin and the truthfulness of his ads.
I mean this stuff is documented and on video. What more do you want? All Americans, whether Democrat, Independent, or Republican should stand up to this attempt to put two liars in the Whitehouse.
McCain said that if Sen.Obama would have agreed with his suggestion to have town hall meetings, his campaign wouldnt have turned negative and spread lies and false truths about Obama.
Is he 12 or 75.
Thats like a boy spreading nasty rumors on myspace about a girl, because she want go out with him.
Is this how he is going to run this country, Either do what i say, or I’m gonna bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb you’re women and children.
What an awful man, I used to have so much respect for Senator McCain, but during his quest to be president he, has shown that he is no better than Bush, and will do anything to win.
He plays off the fears of ignorant, racist americans and uses them to his advanatage. Just like a republican. He approves ads that have been proven to be false, and then says he is a man with morals and integrity.
Just sad that an american war hero, has steeped so low, and is willing to roll around in the mud to become our nations president.
OBAMA 2008.

It clear the major network shows are supporting one candidate. A candidate’s claim to fame is community organizer. Yet no major network anchor or show in the past two years has asked Barry “Obama” a tough question. What makes him qualified?
Barbara showed she was not objective at all and demonstrates The View as other liberal shows are a complete joke.
Barbara could not even conduct a professional conversation.
I like to see her ask Obama why do you think being a community organizer with no foreign policy experience makes you qualified to President? They will not ask because he is not qualified to be U.S. Senator much less President. What is he going to do as except more the same–nothing. Or follow the DNC guidance.
He cannot even make a decision such as yes or no vote in the state senate. While he has spent last two years running for President (Half of his 4 years in the U. S. Senate)Palin has been a governor.
Where are the questions about attending church where Pastor Wright who is a racist.
What about Bill Ayers and the Wood Foundation?
Basically, the media is so biased it is sickening. They are doing everything they can to deceive the American people to vote for a faulty candidate.
The DNC decided to dump a experienced white women for a black man. Is this affirmative action or sexism or both?

I am so disappointed with the behavior of the women on The View. Especially Barbara Walter’s behavior. It was so rude to constantly interrupt John McCain. If she didn’t like the answer he was trying to give..she should of at least given him the courtesy of allowing him to finish his sentence before she rudely interrupted him. Most of the time when he was giving her a response (or a least trying to respond)she wouldn’t even look him in the eyes when he was responding. She would just look downward when he was speaking. That body language speaks volumes in that it says, I do not want to listen to your answer. She is so pompous. To any who may disagree with with this…that is fine, but just look at a tape of the Views interview with Obama.
RE:
No More Republicans
That’s the problem, there’s no tolerance for those who disagree with you. And many people are tired of the liberals changing this country to fit their “special friends” agendas. Hello, come in.
It was unreal what Whoopi said then Barbara came back and said “the white folk” will take care of you. Shaking head at Whoopi. This proves anyone can have a television program. No excuse can be made for Barbara. I wish Whoopi would be cool again and stop drinking the kool-aid. TV has lost it’s importance in so many ways. What we saw today being showcased is one of those reasons.
For all those folks who think the media has been treating poor Gov. Palin so rudely, imagine how the Russians would treat her. Or any Arab nation that really does have less respect for their women. What’s Palin going to do then? If she can’t take the heat…
Wow, that was just rude, what happened to maintaining professionalism? Barbara and the others nearly attacked this man, why have an interview if you are not going to let the man speak? I am appalled and will not be watching “The View” again.
Thank God someone interrupted McCain from his usual, boring and full of lies stump speech. He and Pallin rattle off these untruths like the more they tell them the more people will believe them. It’s awful, insulting and Barbara Walters (this is her show, remember}refused to be manipulated by one of McCains 5 minute sentences. This also is the old way to get at some truth is the throw him off guard. He takes advantage of well mannered, thoughtful and considerate people. That he would try to defend Pallin is said, we all say the debaucle of last night. He can’t lie about that mess.
I am so sick of The View’s far left, liberal anti-American rant. I can’t stand listening to their onesided opinions and their hatred and condesending attitude to ANYONE with a different attitude. That Barbra joined in with Joy and Whoopi has FINALLY made me decide to turn off. I can’t stomach the show any longer. I use to love listening to differing voices that some I agreed with, some I didn’t, but the fury and disdain coming from these couple women (along with Charlie Gibson and other network news anchors) has finally done what my mother wanted me to do when I was a child. The TV is gone and I’m going outside to play.
The Womean on the View (except for Elizabeth) are so good at trying to invalidate those they don’t like. I challenge all of them to look at a tape of the show and notice their body language.
If you think you are so fair…why not play side by side the day you had Obama on and today. Wow, what a difference.
You need to quite your job and just go on payroll for Obama.
Now I u/s why my friends laugh at me for watching the view…NO MORE.

ABC, two of your top employees have dropped the ball in a matter of hours! Charles Gibson and Barbara Walters let their personal feelings dominate their professional duties while interviewing Sarah Palin and John Mc Cain. They proved to be VERY unprofessional.
Once again lopsided left wing media at work..get a grip ABC! Maybe the Obama campaign pays off these yahoos and their super rude “interviewers”, am I right? Sorry, their not to be called journalists, as REAL journalism is NON BIAS!!!!
Barbara Walters didn’t even look at Senator McCain much. She just can’t stand it. Maybe Barbara should take her one-sided view over to CNN?
Senator McCain and Governor Palin make a great team! Who’s a PIG?
Senator Obama must have been thinking about himself.
Maybe if McCain is much younger man and still look like on the video when he just got released, those women would be drooling all over him.
Infact he was quite good looking guy at that time.
ABC is so biased for Obama that they can’t provide the viewing public with fair and unbiased information. When I need information, it doesn’t come from ABC news or the VIEW. Both BABA and Charlie seemed as if they could hardly wait for an answer before they looked down their noses and closed their minds. Can they really think everyone is stupid and/or influenced by prejudice?
Posted by: Carol | September 12, 2008, 5:10 pm 5:10 pm
They disgraced Hillary also when Hillary was running.
Only Elizabeth backed up Hillary eventhough she is Reps.
ABC,,,when are you going to cancel the show?
Ellen is gay but she has been treated every candidate equally and full of respect.
You have got to be kidding me – The View is transparent all right. Obama support all the way. BABA and CHARLIE are both poor excuses for journalists. They have passed their prime and need to move over for some younger, more people savy interviewers. Calling McCain too old is the pot calling the kettle black. And SHAME on Whoopie – she hasn’t suffered anything (except embarrassment at her own hand)
Posted by: Carol | September 12, 2008, 5:18 pm 5:18 pm
The more McCain gains ground, the more venom is spewed from the “other side”. I smell desperation from the Dems. Obama’s pig comment was stupid, but Biden’s comment about Palin’s baby was cruel (re: her baby and stem cell research – look his comment up!) It all shows where their hearts and minds are.
Oh, yeah, where is Biden? Even Biden said Hillary Clinton MIGHT have been a better choice.
How dishonorable that anyone would dare to ask a candidate for the presidency a tough question! It’s shocking to assume that he should answer. Fie on you ladies of “The View!!!!”
Posted by: jane | September 12, 2008, 6:31 pm 6:31 pm
No matter what your political views are these ladies were disgraceful. They basically made fools of themselves. How in the world could you ask John Mccain if there will be slavery if he is elected. He is a war hero and should be respected. The more these liberals talk the more the average american will turn to MCCAIN they will have no one to blame but themselves. Obviously Barbara Walters is no longer to be respected if this is the type of show she wants to have it is no longer something that I would ever consider watching.
Posted by: kim svajgert | September 12, 2008, 7:06 pm 7:06 pm
Are you kidding? The Dems and most of the media have been in a “love fest” with Obama since he came on the scene. It’s all fluff and little substance. Obama has been running around the country for two years of his career in the Senate trying to run for President, and he mostly votes “Present” – What commitment!
I couldn’t stand watching the vier today, Barbara attacked McCain everytime he tried answering. Palin didn’t get all the money from the jet? Whoopie is afraid of being enslaved? What the hell was that about? When Obama is on,I think all their panties get wet except Elizabeth’s, she acutally asked questions instead of drooling on herself!!!!
WoW, what a group of rude women. I didn’t watch the view but I heard it and I was surprised that Barbara even let McCain get a word in.Whoopi asking about slavery? Barbara saying the white folk will save her. What is going on & when are they going to get rid of that stupid show? For once it wasn’t big mouth Joy saying stupid stuff. When Obama is on, they melt all over the place.Maybe when the Obama’s come back on, they can give us more useless info.No hard questions for them, they just got to speak about what ever they wanted. If they interrupted they apolized to the Obama’s. I really think the crusted hag should apologize but then it wouldn’t be sincere anyway.

Posted by: Ann Hert | September 12, 2008, 8:08 pm 8:08 pm
Wow – I have never seen this show, but was home today and heard John McCain was going to be on. What a disgusting group of women! I used to admire Barbara Walters -what happened to her? Whoopi, too. Whoopi rolled her eyes and was so classless. That Joy woman was just irritating, and Barbara was plain rude!
I guess they are very upset about Sarah and the obvious change in the election. Too bad….guess they won’t be interviewing McCain/Palin when they win the nomination!!!
The classless way in which BW and Whoopi behaved left me speechless. I was so surprised at Joy more than ever today. She brought a certain air of comedic ribbing to it which left me liking her more and more and admire the fact that though she is politically at the opposite end of the spectrum to McCain she handled the whole thing with CLASS. Something Walters could use. Can you imagine if Elisabeth had said that remark about white folk taking care of Whoopi. She would be at the unemployment line on Monday.
This show is for the just woken-up crowd who can’t seriously have their brain take in more than one syllable at a time. But I’m loving Joy and appreciating her more each day.
I have been in the media industry for over 20 years, and it is not all that common for liberal bias to be so out in the open- this time emerging from Barbara Walters at a surprising intensity. If this was supposed to be an interview, why weren’t McCain and his wife treated as courteously as Obama or Michelle? No balance here. I look forward to more well-deserved, continuing loss in market share- especially after poor conduct like this.
Posted by: GP | September 12, 2008, 8:59 pm 8:59 pm
Wow, I use to admire Barbara Walters too! She was a hysterical woman obviously with an agenda no matter what the answer was. I actually felt sorry for her, as McCain was so patient and such a gentleman as she insanely asked how was Sarah going to change Washington. I don’t think she ever heard the answer, anyway, it did not matter to her. Very rude. I think the best thing of this elections is that FINALLY most people are awakening to the bias of the media. It is so vulgar in your face.
As an independent, I demand some objectivity and common sense on these so bias pseudo reporters. And whatever happen to cordiality? I am terrified of how rude the next generation will be. It seems as if having no common sense, ignore facts and being rude, violent, and vulgar is currently cool and totally accepted and unquestionable.

Barbara Walters has for decades coasted and coasted in the media and somehow kept her various jobs in television — go figure, it certainly doesn’t take Einstein to see why. She has no real depth, no true understanding of anything but soulless riches and a phony facade. She is calculating, sneaky and extremely crude and tacky in her demeanor.
I use to admire Barbara – NO MORE. I will no longer be watching The View. They should just get rid of Elizabeth and be one big happy family. Just makes me like McCain more!
Posted by: El | September 12, 2008, 9:43 pm 9:43 pm
Barbara Walters was rude and unprofessional today. Then after the way she and her fellow liberals treated him they had the nerve to ask him to get Governor Palin to come on their show.
Walters was also unprepared. When she asked her last question about why Mccain didn’t leave prison when he had the chance —- that in her mind it would not have mattered. Do some background work Barbara—their is a Military Code of Conduct. The last one in is the last one to be released. As McCain told her it would have been used as propaganda.
Here they had the chance to ask questions on the issues and all those pit bull dogs Joy and Barbara wanted to carp about was Governor Palin. No questions on economic issues, immigration, education, national security, taxes, etc.. It was all about Palin because those pointed headed East Coast liberal women are in panic mode. They just can’t seem to realize that everytime they trash Sarah Palin–her ratings go up with the rest of the country. Barbara Walters was just plain “bitchy” today.

I guess we can add rudeness to the long list of things that won’t get a straight answer from a Republican. Of course rudeness quite often comes out of frustration.

Barbara Walters was so rude on today View she show no respect for Senator McCain and his wife. Was Elizabeth told not to talk to day? BIG MISTAKE Why would Sara ever come on the View and have Barb and Woopi be so rude to her. Most women are proud that another woman has as a shot at the vice presidency. THIS SHOW WAS A BIG JOKE some of you all need a lesson in manners!!!!
There are many fixed costs to aircraft jet ownership to include pilot salaries, hangar, insurance, maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled). Aircraft are no different than cars, they lose value once you fly them off the ramp Aircraft values change drastically if the aircraft is up against an engine change which would make a $600K be a walk in the park. If Sarah Palin came within $600K of selling an aircraft, she more than likely came out in a profit scenario at the end of the day because she lost all the fixed costs associated with the aircraft and the expensive maintenance costs associated with it.
i think the ladies on the view were like pit bulls in lipstick. they had no respect for mr mcCain. barbra walters couldn’t even look john in eye. she lost all my respect for her. and joy bahar should stick to commedy. she knows absoulty nothing about politcs. what ever happened to fair and balanced.poor showing by miss walters.
the dems are just frightened to death of mrs palin. by the way who’s running for pres sarah palin or john mcCain?
Oh yeah, Barbara and Whoopi were very disrespectful of McCain. Did anyone see the looks when they didn’t know the camera was on them? They drool over the Obamas!

This all makes me sick to my stomach, its hard to not look at this as black and white, but it really is.Now because someone askes this man a question and its a hard one they say that is disrespect………. either he can answer or he cant, now if it was Obama being asked those questions, would it still be disrespect? I think not………..now this chicks daughter is pregnant not married and have all the fixings that is suppose to come with bringing a child into this world and starting a family like (Steady income) and we aint suppose to say anything………Now when its on the other foot its a big deal …….

Isn’t America great? We can disagree and “fight” with our words while sitting cofortably at our computer.
We can congratulate ourselves for being oh, so clever. We can then step away from the computer and continue our lives. John McCain has shown “true grit” over his entire life. McCain’s honor cannot be denied.
I also like Gov. Palin. She’s a quick study and shows honor and common sense as well. She won’t blink either when facing “the big boys”.

What is disgraceful is that you Republicans heard your candidate say he spreads LIES through his ads because Obama would not do the town hall meetings. The liberal media. Is there such a thing? What about FOX, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, et. al. And, what about the lies that PALIN tells. You Republican idiots are voting for another candidate that TELL OUTRIGHT LIES. Maybe, people treat OBAMA with dignity because he does not make inflammatory ads. SARAH PALIN is a liar. I know because I live in Alaska.

It never ceases to amaze me how much crying and how rude liberals get when they’re challenged while trying to steal an election. Remember Dan Rather? Here’s a guy who announced Florida was won by Gore before the poles closed and the results were in. Obviously, it was an attempt to dishearten Republican voters on their way to the voting booth. How many actually turned back and didn’t vote thinking their candidate had already lost? Dems cried and cried when the results turned out not to be what they were promised by Mr. Rather. Their immature and obscene behavior has never subsided ever since. How many U.S. military died when Murtha announced the Iraq war could not be won and encouraged our enemy to press on? How many U.S. military died when Democrats would say over and over again that the war was unjust and immoral – giving heart to our enemy to press on? When I’m already standing on the battlefield, questions about whether I should be there or not are irrelevant. I’m there. But don’t increase my chances of getting killed because you think Republicans stole an election, idiots. The Surge broke this pattern of death and Obama was against it; wouldn’t even acknowledge it worked until last week on FOX. FOX!
I don’t mind a Democrat being upset they can’t convince the majority of Americans to vote for them. It’s all the conniving they do, the rudeness, the distortions, the lying, the unrelenting propaganda. NPR, CSPAN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, US magazine, etc. etc…They don’t care who gets killed or hurt. They go after children, soldiers, wives, husbands; it’s all fair game to them and it’s ugly. I’ve voted for male, female, black and white candidates I felt could do a better job and protect my rights. Obama’s socialist agenda is not compatible to my way of thinking. I work hard for my money and have enough bills to pay without giving more to the government. But that’s me. If a Democrat thinks he’ll do better being the recipient of forced wealth distribution (from me to him/her) then vote that way. But don’t throw a hammer at me because I put up a fight to prevent it. It’s not a black and white thing, it’s an ideological thing. Democrats, get a better candidate. SOLDIER WHO HAS BEEN TO IRAQ.
PS – Better cut and paste before this gets deleted.

Why were all of the ladies on the view dressed in black and white? Was this a statement by the view?
Black and white expresses a somber feeling. Black and white is gray and dull.
I was wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Did anyone see Woopie BLINK to Barbara just before going to a commercial?
That’s all the proof I need that the
gang up was planned. I guess Barbara is
trying to reserect her career. Mr McCain
you did well. Thanks ladies you have helped make this independent’s decision.

ABC and “The View” should be embarrassed and Ashamed of thier treatment of John McCain. Politics aside, here is an individual who served his country in the highest form of the definition. A true patriot and a war hero, who has accomplished a great deal. Barbara Walters could not even look him in the eye when asking her grilling, ridiculing and harassing questions. This alone is a testement to what little or no character she has. Her side kick Whoopi Goldberg had to ask the most disrespectful question I have ever heard if she should worry about being a slave again. Are you serious?!! What is this country comming to when a celebrity that does little more than memorize a few lines and stand in front of a camera gets more respect and adulation than a man with true character and resolve. A man that has layed his life on the line for our country. “The View” and ABC will have to live with their own dishonor. As for McCain no matter what is thrown his way he will always come out with honor and rspect! He is a true American! God Bless America.

Barbara Walters and the other women on the view were very “combative” and disrespectful to John and Cindy McCain.
They BEHAVED as though they were in a cat fight.
Whoppi, Joy and Barbara looked like 3 women on a sinking ship, trying desparately to stay afloat.
The saying “You can’t buy class” came through loud and clear. John McCain was Presidential, very much a gentleman and very respectful. Cindy looked and spoke very much like a First Lady – very eloquent. A real LADY!!!
My vote is for John McCain.

Shame on you Barbara, I couldn’t believe it, you of all people conducting an interview in such a poor taste. You know that smart people realize when is time to go, you need to retire, you have lost your touch. I will not watch The View again, is a program of hate and rudeness.

Obama called McCain “a relic from the disco era” and said he could not send an e-mail. He also showed McCain in an “unflattering suit” in one of his “attack” ads. What nonsense.
Okay. Obama is the better dresser! But McCain will dominate those town hall meetings when Obama finally agrees to one. O’fluffy vs. McSubstance -

Please, tell me what good purpose Barbara Walters and The View is serving? I was deeply troubled at the unprofessional attitudes displayed in the McCain interview. I am concerned that the overall attitudes of the media is terribly biased and unfair. I don’t like “Imus,” Yet his escapade is beginning to pale in comparison to present day media activity and the media themselves criticized him. No one has put Senator Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Nancy Palosi, or Harry Reed through the ringer like this. The rating of congress is lower than the President and even more ineffective. Yet, after the midterm elections, why hasn’t the media called the Democrates, who control congress, to accountability for not living up to their promises and the gaffs they make. Yet, the media bashes the presidend and those running on the Republican ticket. Why? Would Barbara and Whoopi be as tough and disrespectful to them? The media complains about partisan politics and yet they promote it. Reading the reviews from The View program, the questions asked by Walters and others were not were contentious, mean spirited and interrogative. Not true journalism. Can we get back to good journalism, professionalism, and fair objectivity. The American people can make up their own minds. They don’t need a media bias. Please leave the tabloid stuff to the tabloids. I quite frankly an insulted.

Disrespectful, rude, non-informative, aggressive body language and
combative yelling among the “cats”.
John McCain and Cindy McCain clearly showed the viewer what it means to be honorable and professional.
What do people learn from watching the View? Shame on you, Barbara Walters (a professional interviewer who should know better) and her cronies!! You did not help your “cause”…electing Obama.
One must go where they can get fair and balanced information…FOX NEWS.

The lipstick comment got my attention.
I watched the news cast of Obama talking about lipstick on a pig and if you watch the complete interview from beginning to end he does tie McCain and Palin together with the comment.
He first mentioned the lipstick on a pig comment and then followed that with the fish wrapped in paper is still a smelly fish and with the complete phrase he made it was clear to me that he was talking about McCain and with that context it tied the lipstick comment to Pailin. I have yet to see the complete comment aired on the news and the way it has been portrayed is incomplete and misleading.
I beleive this is the norm for most of the news we see today. We get snippits of news to give us just enough information to guide our thoughts in the direction the media would like to take us.
Shame on the media!

I laugh when someone claims that McCain wasn’t treated with ‘respect’. When you deliberately run ads that are deceptive and lies (which his campaign manager admits, by the way!), you forfeit the right for respect.

To the iraq soldier,
Let us not forget that Barack Obama was also born to a 17yr old unmarried teenager. Hmmm…and according to the people wanting to vote for him…I guess he turned out to be a pretty alright guy. When anyone criticizes Palin and her daughter…they are criticizing Obama and his mother as well. Of course it’s not the “ideal” situation for anyone of any race, but it doesn’t define a person or their family.
Posted by: ccs | September 13, 2008, 11:54 am 11:54 am
UM CCS? You are aware that you are talking about Obama’s mother and not him right? I mean he did not exit the womb and say: “Hey Ma! Why aren’t you married” Also, Maybe part of the reason that Obama is pro sex-ed is maybe erm.. i dont know … ‘cos he was born to a 17 year old woman who was not properly educated on sex? What he is NOT is someone who preaches abstinence only doctrines and then lacks maybe the guidance to explain to her daughter that having sex makes babies? hmmm. how you gonna spin that? you people seriously baffle me. Is it the TV? Is it meds? why do you continue to blindly follow candidate’s who are clearly unfit to be scrutinized? On both sides this is true. There are people who are going to vote the party no matter what. That is short-changing yourself. In this case Obama is clearly the better choice for the MAJORITY of Americans. There are volumes of facts proving this. Do the research!!! find out how the candidate helps YOU. Not whether the candidate is R or D or I … you do realize that GWB is probably going to be in the top 3 worst presidents ever, right? and McCain is going to be worse if he wins.
I cannot understand why anyone is surprised by Barbara Walters behavior. This is the so called “journalist” who asked world leaders what their favorite color was and what kind of a tree they would be? Give me a break, don’t tune into The View if you expect intelligence or equality or all emcompassing views from many different ppl — it ain’t going to happen folks!! They are on a mission to get Barak elected. McCain and his wife should not have appeared on it.
I am now 90 minutes richer every day since I will not be watching the View or World News Tonight after the disrespectful way Barbara Walters and her crew treated John McCain and the way Charles Gibson (who up to now was one of the best newsman around) tried to highjack Sarah Palin.
If I was n ABC exec I would insist Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopie Goldberg and Sherry issue an on-air apology to John McCain for their treatment of him on Friday’s show.
I think if I was his wife, I would have refused to come out and talk to them.
I’ve never seen anything like it on national television. They abused their ‘power’. And by the way, what the heck was that crack by Whoopie about her being a slave again supposed to mean? There is nothing in the Constitution about slavery.
Disgusting!
The View is one of the most biased of any TV show. Dont you think it is time Barbara retired. I very seldom watch this program as they all talk at one time – trying to be 1 up on the rest.If you look up your history you will see that Teddy Roosevelt had about the same credentials as Palin
Anyone who believes that it is only one party that is running ads with lies or exaggerations, has got their head in the sand. I would follow any candidate who could actually run a campaign without based on his or her own convictions, accomplishments and plans, and not attack their opponent. Attacks on candidates don’t impress or influence me any more than how many babies they kiss before the election!
ABC did a much better job than NBC masking their liberal bias. So much so that the McCain campaign imagined they might be treated with respect there. WRONG! Charlie Gibson’s condescending, professorial stance during his cross-examination of Governor Palin was pathetic. I would love to see the roles reversed, with the Governor given the task of determining the depth of Charlie’s command of journalistic trivia. Charlie was the embodiment of elite media and it’s self-annointed intellectual superiority. Talk about HUBRIS! Come on Charlie…ask the tough IMPORTANT questions, and please do it respectfully. No one cares if Governor Palin knows Charlie’s definition (of the several recognized) of “The Bush Doctrine”. Everyone cares where she stands on national security. I can now include Charlie Gibson in with the Sean Hannity and Keith Olbermanns of the world…irrelevent.
Bill O’Reilly did a slightly better job with Senator Obama, although I believe a U.S. Senator should be allowed to complete a sentence without interruption. Bill was Bill, but Charlie seemed like a man on an unfamiliar mission. A SAD mission that superseded the nation’s desire to discover Governor Palin’s stance on the important issues facing our country.
The gang at the view was embarrassingly transparent in their attempt to shoot down Senator McCain and his wife with their flurry of tabloid-based inquiries. Sherri and Elisabeth should be commended for their attempts to inject a sense of respect and civility into the mix. The saving grace came when Cindy McCain dressed down Babs in her attempt to dredge up more meaningless sound-bite fodder. Whoopi’s attempt to drag slavery into the discussion show’s her grasp of the current political terrain. Joy… IS a comedienne.
When will the left realize that this type of attempted one-upsmanship and name calling (Keith Olbermann) will never replace honest, respectful debate, or inquiry into pertinent issues, and the professional credibility of the individuals involved. If they stay away from the manufactured outrage to misrepresented sound bites, the GOP should continue to reap benefits with the majority of non-partisan voters.
In the spirit of debate.

When did we go from “We the People” to
“You People”. In my view, the views of the
wonderful women of The View, are just that….
and in this case, deliberately served in opening dialogue concerning matters(s) of “our” everyday lives. You must know that with rights comes
responsibility; I rightfully defend the precious few ones I have left, because I am not interested in losing any more…
I do not look to elected officials to vote “their” conscious but to serve in representing “their” constituancy; and by that I mean “US” not lobby-big interest-secular ideology nor industry

Also explain please:
WHAT RELATIONSHIP OBAMA HAS TO FARRAKHAN
HOW MICHELLE DOUBLED HER SALARY OVERNIGHT WHEN OBAMA WAS ELECTED TO THE SENATE
WHERE REV WRIGHT IS NOW IN OBAMA’S LIFE
WHAT THE HELL OBAMA IS TRYING TO DO WITH SENATE BILL #2433, THE GLOBAL POVERTY BILL–US WELFARE FOR THE WORLD
I would say it was fair as long as they attacked Obama when he was on the “View”….No if memory serves me he went on the View during the the Primary and made up some lie that Rev Wright had apologisized…and the women of the View proceeded to fawn all over him.
The tabloid media and their pushing their agenda and preferences on America is why this election turned me into an Independent.
If ya’ll are going to smear and haras the Republicans you really need to get more subtle.
Such hostility. It’s embarrasing. If you are going to invite McCain and his wife on the show, the least they can do is let him speak when he answers their questions. Such disrespect… these aren’t ladies….they are Liberal mouthpieces.
What a sorry excuse for a show. Perhaps rename the show from “The View” to “One View”.
If you watch this interview and compare it to the episode with Barack Obama, these ladies show what partisan hacks they are. They drool all over themselves for Obama but they can’t be courteous enough to someone who defended their right to free speech. But, that’s they way they treat all our military heroes, isn’t it. Quite telling.
I don’t know about you but I’m getting tired of watching the media get tingles up their legs for Obama. They need to get a hotel room and a penicillin shot and get over it.
And then maybe they can sober up and play fair. I’m sick of it.

I have watched this show from day one and have never been more disgusted as I was this day, even when Rosie was on. They talked about the disrespect of Hilary, in the past, MY GOD WHAT WAS THIS. Babs never gave the man a chance to answer and was go aggressive. Who cares how many homes the McCains have. Here parents worked hard and Mrs McCaine as their child got the fruits of their hard labor. I guess Barbar’s daughter will be asked when Barbara dies how much of her money and homes came from the men she slept with. Barbara used this show as a free advertisment for her book. I am a disabled white 55 year old female who worked hard all my life, but I have never seen anybody be treated so disrespectful on this show, When Mr. O was on Elizabeth treated him with respect and dignity. Its getting to the point that I guess you can,t have an opinion unless its in line with ABC or Barbara’s. They said at the beginning of the show, that to think this program started out as a simple program to discuss different opinions. Well Fridays show was certaintly a simple
show with simple one minded women. I was very proud of Elizabeth and Sherri, but they really didn’t had the chance to say anything. People , this is America and we do have the right to our own opinions and the right to say them where and how we want, and people like John McCaine and every other American who has joined the military, and died for this great nation, has given us that right to enjoy those freedoms. You don’t have to agree with HIS Views or anyones views, but we do need to be respectful of each other. I am a registered Rep. but have always voted my heart. But after some of the comments made from Mr O. I will be voting my party this year. Barbara, it,s time you hang your hat up. Your age is showing and there are times I am actually embarassed for you. I always thought you were a woman who no matter what your opionions were you could be objective as a reporter. Boy did you mess this one up.

My dear friends there are other television channels, why give abc a free ride. They need to prove to us that they can be objective, and then only then we might just change our minds.

I will not watch the View any more. I thought Barbara was rude. She and Whoopi should be removed.
Tried to blog on a CNN site. I still don’t see my blog. Well, here goes:
Palin did go to Kuwait then went across the boarder into Iraq. She went as a Governor – not a soldier – not a VP.
What’s the problem? Also, Obama wants to give 95% a tax break and ALSO give the majority more benefits. Take in less – give more?? – Study McCain’s Lexington Energy project and his ecocomic plan. Ir makes sense. Stop the rhetoric, Obama. He can always say, “I didn’t know” just like he did with the Rev. Wright fiasco (When Obama got into trouble, he denied his pastor). Look closely at his Chicago connections when he was a community organizer.
No guts – no honor.

Barbara Walters epitomizes the effete liberal who’s freaking out at this point. She clearly is in a tizzy; she’s unable to keep her anger, bitterness, and frustration in check. She cannot even make a pretense of self-control. She’s lost it.
She and her liberal elitist snob bigot contemporaries are in a total rage and panic over McCain running a strong campaign and picking a smart woman who’s strong in conviction and connects with Americans; meanwhile, Obama becomes more and more evidently a clueless empty suit and finds himself with a VP pick who is, by the words of that same VP pick, not the best choice.
Furthermore, Walters and her ultra-liberal colleagues are finding it hard to accept the fact that they are losing their clout. Their days of manipulating the news — and actually being relevant — are fading in the rear-view mirror.
The mainstream media have lost all credibility. The have utterly degraded themselves. Americans see them for the posturing, one-sided, propagandist Democrat mouthpiece they are.
Yes indeed, the hypocritical, dishonest libs are stewing in their own juices.
What in the world got into the ladies on The View today?? Republican or not, there was no need to be SO disrespectful to McCain. I’m very disappointed in their behavior today (Elisabeth aside)!
I once went to see “The View” and received a number of free gifts, that was when Rosie was there. It was fun and interesting, even though we didn’t always agree with everything they said. It is a talk show but it is now very one-sided especially since Whoopi came to roost. Barbara Walters doesn’t need the REPs to stay in power so she doesn’t need to suck up to them. Don’t watch and eventually it will go off the air, it’s the only way you can tell these people how insane their behavior is. They think all women have to think their way or something is wrong with us. Now that sure is a weird standard of democracy.
The whole View crew needs to be replaced. Barbara was talking over McCain and not allowing him to answer because she wanted to come up with the answers. So why ask? The group with the exception of Elisabeth seems bitter. Joy can’t seem to control her bitterness or anger. Good job Barbara I will stop watching and hope you go away. Just to think, you pushed Star and Rosie off for this.

This was not Barbara Walters first interview. She is a seasoned journalist who knew McCain didn’t have a clue as to how to think on his feet. He is lost without a written speech. He could not give a straight answer concerning Palin because there is nothing to tell. She keeps talking about selling the plane,”HELLO,” it didn’t sell on ebay, and when it did sell she had to pay a broker and still took a loss. McPalin if you can’t take it, go home!!
Posted by: jeanie | September 15, 2008, 10:46 am 10:46 am
It is pretty obvious from reading all these comments that we, as americans, either hate it or love it. There was nothing wrong with Barbara’s questions but you can notice she was getting upset as McCain refused to directly answer her questions. We already have a president like that and look where it has lead us… We need someone who can reply to ALL questions.. good or bad. McCain and Palin lack this
Was it okay to “talk over” Sen. McCain?
Barbara was indeed rude and appeared manic. McCain did answer the questions, but she failed to listen. Barbara needed to use her journalism skills, but she was so wrapped up with her “feelings”. Very unprofessional. Also, Whoopi’s comment about slavery was just stupid, suggesting that McCain was “pro” slavery. I suppose it was a “joke”, if you want to call it that. Whoopie put those hateful words out there. She knew what she was doing. THEN, Barbara said, “Oh, us WHITE FOLKS” will protect you. WHAT??? Barbara, the next time you have Obama on your show, just get a room.

I am disappointed and disgusted with Barbara Walters. I have always considered her very fair and my favorite interviewer. What has happened to her? It is obvious to this “Independent” voter that she does not like Sarah Palin or Senator McCain. Which is her personal opinion but they way she rolled her eyes in the background when Senator McCain was speaking and the way she absolutely nothing good to say about Sarah Palin is unprofessional and very transparent to the public. I am sure that when/if she interviews Obama, there will be no Eye Rolling and Pouty Faces allowed. The thing is that she isn’t accomplishing her mission of turning us off on the McCain/Palin ticket, but it’s turning us off from her! Good job, Barbara – you have made up my mind for me – We need a “composed, intelligent” person running this country and I am now voting for McCain!

Experienced companies such as Merrill Lynch and Lehman Bros. should have known better. Their greed and free-wheeling lending got them into trouble. When we bought a home in late 1970′s,
we had to have 20% down. Lately, people were flipping or buying
their “dream” home with little or nothing down. We bought a modest home below what we could afford. We always had Plan A,B, and C to fall back on.We also didn’t try to buy a house before we had our down payment. It took much sacrifice and scrimping and saving on a DAILY basis, but it was worth it. We earned it.
We relied on ourselves to navigate through life. That’s the difference between Republicans and Democrats.
Do not blame Bush or McCain. That’s ridiculous.
Again, the greed and stupidity of Lynch and Lehman Bros are ultimately to be blamed. ALSO, REMEMBER: It was Bill Clinton who signed the agreement that sent jobs away to foreign lands. The Democrats conveniently “forgot” that ONE LITTLE fact. (by the way, we’re just working class people)
WHAT FLIPS, MUST FLOP

The collapse of Lehman Bros. can be traced back to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Freddie and Fannie used lobbying budgets AND political contributions to keep regulators off their back. NOW, OBAMA is #2 of the top 3 U.S. senators
who receivedFreddie &Fannie political cash.Obama has only been in the senate for 4 years. Read the history of Fannie and Freddie. Washington Democrats been lining up for years to be on their payroll and to take huge contributions from them. It was John McCain who introduced bills to regulate Fannie and Freddie, but dem.senate shot it down.Obama is pointing fingers NOW. Obama, who is guilty, istrying to pin it on McCain.Itwas Obama who was second in line (and only after 4 years in the senate) when it came to sucking a huge amount of money from Freddie and Fannie – organizations who were supposed to help poor people buy houses. The gov. had to bail out Freddie and Fannie, BUT we need to past Sen. McCain’s bills to regulate where the money can go to.

The latest rumor going around is that Biden was going to step down after the VP’s debate in October. He was going to say (all of a sudden) that it’s for health reasons. (he looks healthy to me) THEN, Hillary was going to step in his place. That would be very funny if true. We’ll see.

My definition of an Elitist:
Someone who is out of touch by either ignorance and/or by choice.
Obama is by choice. He was suppose to be watching the hen house (Merrill Lynch and Lehman Bros. – McCain called for regulations; Obama and others shot it down.) Obama took the money and ran. He and pals ran all the way up The Hill to the Senate far away from everybody. Obama laughed when he said McCain was trying to pin this on him:(the fall of these companies). No, it wasn’t all his fault, but Obama did have his fingers in the pie.

TO THE VIEW: It was very nice to hear an apology from Ms. Walters regarding Sen. McCain and Mrs. McCain. However,
it would only be fair if you would ask some tough questions to Sen. Obama – i.e. — Obama’s connection to Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Bob Rubin, Franklin Raines, William Ayers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Chicago connection, and Austan Goolsbee, the Obama economic adviser who has been writing academic papers for years about why it would be bad to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Also, why is Obama #2 on the list of people who took contributions from Fannie & Freddie (and did nothing to regulate them?) Why was Sen. McCain’s reform legislation (re: Fannie & Freddie) shot down by the Democratic Senate? (All of these names are public record. Please do some investigation and ask Sen. Obama ON AIR about these subjects. It’s only fair to ask these tough questions to the Democratic nominee.

Just saw that Iranian guy, Admandinejad at the UN. Scary guy. Our financial woes could bring us down to our knees.
Ronald Reagan did this to Russia.
So – Admandinejad said that the Zionist nation and America’s power is on a downward slope. I say that Americans can turn this around. It’s a challenge, but one that we need to face up to.
TO the ladies on The View: Use this oppotunity to bring this to the forefront. History has shown that negotiation with dictators such as Admandinejad is impossible. Our government must continue to appeal to the United Nations. If we go down, so do many of them. Admandinejad will be hovering above to pick their bones.
To THE DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS AND INDEPENDENTS: We must be united on solving our financial woes, or we all go down together.
TO THE CANDIDATES: Do not give one lump sum to the same guys that were running Fannie Mae and Feddie Mac. What kind of crack-house idea is that? (no offense to crack-houses). Both candidates must come to some conclusions on how to proceed from here.
Ladies, with or without lipsticks, unite on these issues before Admandinejad’s words come true.
Words are powerful; so turn his words against him. Show the world that as Americans, we are one.

I think Sen. Obama is trying to “gaslight” us (trying to make us feel “crazy”.) He NOW claims that He was the one to “blow the whistle” on Fannie & Freddie. Well, no, that would have been Sen. McCain. Hey, are the lights dimmer?

TO THE VIEW: any comments??? Can McCain then do the same???? Thanks.

Barbara was rude. She was not respectful with John McCain.

Christie,
In her interview with John McCain, she asked him specific questions about the changes that Sarah Palin is supposed to make in Washington. In his replies, he continuously avoided straight answers and only gave his evasive propaganda speeches.
Posted by: flying broker | September 12, 2008, 1:44 pm 1:44 pm

HAH!

Brava!
And did you hear him say he believed Roe vs Wade was a bad law and it is one of the first things Sarah Palin would do to reform Washington–help put justices on the Supreme Court who agree with them.
He graciously said they would not reinstitute slavery.

The majority of American women are not represented by those we see on tv.

It’s awful, insulting and Barbara Walters (this is her show, remember}refused to be manipulated by one of McCains 5 minute sentences. This also is the old way to get at some truth is the throw him off guard. He takes advantage of well mannered, thoughtful and considerate people. He is a war hero and should be respected. The more these liberals talk the more the average american will turn to MCCAIN they will have no one to blame but themselves.

When did we go from “We the People” to

wonderful women of The View, are just that….
and in this case, deliberately served in opening dialogue concerning matters(s) of “our” everyday lives.

If you watch this interview and compare it to the episode with Barack Obama, these ladies show what partisan hacks they are.

It’s time to go Barbara. You are showing your true colors.

Barbara did not give McCain the opportunity to answer, she just kept spitting out questions. Barbara is a professional yet she did not show professionalism at all. I have always respected Barbara as a woman and a professional but I have to admit I am changing my mind.

Will The View cover the news about Obama being the #2 receiver of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac’s contributions?
TO THE VIEW: DO THE RIGHT THING
Freddie and Fannie were created to help poor people buy houses.
PLEASE, DO THE RIGHT THING.
THANKS

Barbara you were so very rude to Senator McCain. Your posture, you kept spitting out questions and not allowing him time to answer and you NEVER even looked him in the eye. You would never have done that to Senator Obama, would you?! You need to go to Charm school!

I think Sen. Obama is trying to “gaslight” us (trying to make us feel “crazy”.) He NOW claims that He was the one to “blow the whistle” on Fannie & Freddie. Well, no, that would have been Sen. McCain. Hey, are the lights dimmer?

what am I hearing about Obama demanding that certain ads be taken off the tv? Well, then, can McCain demand the same thing? They’re calling it the “truth squad” ads. If you don’t like the ad, just delete it???
TO THE VIEW: any comments??? Can McCain then do the same???? Thanks.
