This financial crisis was so severe Bush administration officials briefed Congress last Friday and they worked on a plan through the weekend. According to this blog, it was not until Tuesday that Bush himself canceled a fundraiser to get back to Washington to work on the crisis. Then McCain does the same thing the next day. Original leadership my posterior.

Mark this day down. Today — last night, actually — the New York Times and Roll Call reported (it’s hard to see who was first) what may be the biggest political story of the campaign. How big? John McCain might have to fire his campaign manager. Big enough?
The story is this. The lobbying firm of Rick Davis, the manager, was being paid $15,000 a month by Freddie Mac until last month. That fact is a direct contradiction of words McCain had spoken Sunday night. At that time, responding to a Times story being prepared for Monday’s paper revealing that Davis had been the head of a lobbying consortium led by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae until 2005, McCain said Davis had done no further work for either mortgage giant.

Which one would that be today? What’s he on now, his fourth this week? And last time I looked, it had started morphing into something approaching what Obama has been saying all along.. I am just glad that this whole thing will be a distant memory soon, and we can get the country back on track with Obamas intelligence and Bidens extensive experience. Can’t wait to see what history has in store for dubba.

Your “American” concern is clouding your judgment…
And, thanks for reinforcing my point on the economy…
Having a plan (as compared to waiting to see what your opponent does or the teleprompter tells you), as John McCain does, is indeed preferable to the circle jerk the head Democrats are engaging in…
As for President Clinton’s comments, I remember Hillary Clinton said that she would “work her heart out” for Obama if he was the Democrat nominee…
Well, I haven’t really seen either of the Clintons “working their hearts out” for Obama/Biden…
By the way, although I did support President Clinton, I am not a Democrat or a Republican…
The candidates from the two parties represent bad and worse, with Obama being the worst…
