Another case of the liberal main stream media piling on Sarah Palin?
Well, Bill Maher is a comedian but so what? let’s whine against everybody being against Sarah anyway.

You know emma, you may be right about Maher, but he was sure dead on about Palin.

emma. i am a woman and feel the exact same way about Palin

Did Bill bring up Biden watching FDR on TV in 1929 while he was flying though heavy fire in Iraq? Or did he jus bash Palin.

Unable to intellectually compete with political rivals, libs like Maher try hard to substitute ridicule for reason. It briefly amuses a vapid, book-free, TV-addled constituency, but alas, as polical strategy, hate speech fails miserably. Big media and their pimps can make anyone appear dumb. They tried it with Dan Quayle, who by the way is a very scholarly guy. Despite onslaughts of defamatory claptrap, Quayle ascended to the Vice Presidency despite a vicious canpaign of HATE, thinly nominated as “humor?” If dummy libs (is there any other kind?) did not obsess their little heads, day and night, over the brainy babe from Alaska, Palin would have faded as a phenom. People like Maher ensure Palin’s election. And I, another drop-dead gorgeous, brilliant, conservative woman (the kind of woman out of Maher’s league) get the last laugh! Again.

jamescbuilder: “Did Bill bring up Biden watching FDR on TV”
As pointed out by some conservatives, Palin is being put under the microscope due to her unprecedented hiding from the people. Biden has already sunk one campaign for president through gaffes, arguably two.
Biden has done about 100 times more interviews than Palin during this campaign and is therefore cut more slack – for every stupid mistake he makes, there are dozens of hours of meaty, technical foreign policy discussion or pictures of him flying to Georgia to help out after the Russian attacks (at the explicit invitation of their government who know and respect him, as do most foreign leaders).
How many hours, even minutes, of Palin speaking unscripted are in the can that conservatives can be proud of?

She is an idiot and anyone supporting this women should have their heads examined. Your really can’t believe this woman has the intelligence to run this country. She doesn’t have a clue. Bill Maher was right on.

Anyone who continues to defend Sarah Palin either hasn’t seen the Katie Couric interview; cannot comprehend what that interview reveals; is too consumed by conservative ideology to put “Country First”; or, adheres so fanatically to a pro-life advocacy that any reason or semblance of sanity fails them. To these folks the growing fears of true conservatives — columnists and pundits and political operatives whom they’ve agreed with out of blind faith, and now reject upon the same basis — mean nothing. The stage, then, is ripe for the utter molestation of this once great country by a fraud incapable of hiding even that most humiliating secret.

I LOVE how the McCain Camp is crying the media is playing GOTCHA with sarah palin.
How can they claim its GOTCHA journalism when its simple questions ask to their candidate.. who is applying for the position of VP , She has not been able to answer the questions due to the fact she is NOT qualify or educated enough for the position.
Miss palin is the one who wants to be VP , We the people are the ones who want to see these questions ask to determine if she is QUALIFY.
No different if we went into a job interview and was completely clueless on 90% of the stuff.Imagine if we left the job interview crying they were doing GOTCHA questions.

The so called liberial media is not the one pointing out she is not qualified for vp its sara herself i kinda feel sorry for her AND SHAME ON YOU MCCAIN FOR PUTTING HER IN THIS POSITION I DONT LIKE HER BUT MCCAIN SUNK TO A NEW LOW WHEN HE DID THIS AND SARA WHY DONT YOU STEP DOWN before mccain and his campaign embaress you even more DO IT FOR YOUR CHILDRENS SAKE!

As to Maher and all the other liberals and conservatives in this lastest Pity Palin Party, her malapropisms and run-on non-sentences and mindless blathering only underscore McCain’s poor judgment and rash, reckless temperament in not vetting her properly. THAT is the issue here.

palin does have one advantage over Biden. Joe can not see Russia from Delaware…

emma divine: It is not being misogynistic to point out Sarah Palin’s very serious shortcomings.
I assure you that if Sarah Palin were a man, there would be as much criticism of lack of background, knowledge of national and international affairs, and poor performance in interviews. The only difference would be that instead of calling her Caribou Barbie, we’d call her Caribou Ken.
Do you assume that every time someone criticizes a woman, sexism is the reason? Do you think a woman candidate never deserves criticism? That’s a pretty sexist viewpoint.
I am a woman, not a liberal, and I think Maher and other critics of Palin are right on. The woman is simply unqualified, and her public appearances are embarrassments for women as well as for the GOP.

The Palin Pity Party needs to stop.
If she had half a brain, she never would have accepted the VP offer… she didn’t blink only because of her blind ambition and greedy need to be in power.
She ruined the budget of Wasilla, she abused her power as Gov. and now she wants to go to war with russia as VP.
This woman should be able to take the punches just like everyone else in politics.
I am sick of the McCain camp using the coward card and crying sexism every time she fouls up a question.
If a person wants to be president or vice president, they better be ready to accept the scrutiny of the media and the public without whining and that includes Palin.
To continue to pity her and say “poor sarah” is an excuse to the obvious. She is not capable of handling the job.
In july she said “hold me accountable”
Now she says she is being thrown “gotcha” questions by voters…. Please, it is really sickening now.
She should be worried about the trooper-gate problem she is having… a witness has just now flipped in their testimony…. saying now that yes, Palin did pressure her to deny wooten’s workers comp claim…
I will not and will never pity Palin… she wants the power, now she needs to earn it… it will not be handed over to her.
Get over the Palin pity party… its a cop-out for a candidate who can’t handle the interview.

maher and those mindless women can make fun of palin all they want; in the process, they mock middle america. we are not new york and not los angeles and we like it that way. our lives are based on God, family and country and we are proudly patriotic.

By the same token, let’s not put one ounce of credibility into something an entertainer(?) says.

Lori; Dan quayle was, and still is, a sharp guy. His problem was that he couldn’t speak off-the-cuff without putting his foot in his mouth. If he had practiced the art of taking a moment to gather his thoughts, most of his gaffes wouldn’t have been committed.
Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is neither sharp or well spoken. Like George W. Bush, she can give a speech very well when she’s following a script. Also like Bush, she looks foolish when she tries to speak without a script. Does she honestly think that everyone believes that you can see any part of Russia from any part of Alaska other than the farthest Island in the Aleutians and the Diomede Islands? She’s bee referred to as a skilled politician, but one has to wonder how skillful you really have to be to succeed in politics in a state with as small a polulation as Alaska has. Considering how poorly she’s done now that she’s on the big stage, I would have to say that her skills were exagerated – though not necessarily intentionally.
By the way, I would pay good money to see an open debate between Sarah Palin and Bill Maher. Maher is far better informed on virtually every issue that is pertinent to this years presidential election than Palin could hope to be – and he doesn’t need an army of coaches.
A point that just came to mind is that Palin’s degree is in journalism. Considering that, you would think that she would be able to anticipate a fairly high percentage of the questions she would get from reporters, yet on the few occasions that she has granted interviews (all of two, so far), she has seemed quite unprepared. The times that she doesn’t stumble are when she is reciting parts of her stump speech.

Rider1A, where were you when that B-actor Ronald Reagan ran for POTUS?
Posted by: Joe | September 30, 2008, 3:55 pm 3:55 pm
SP is a small-time governor who is in no way ready for the world stage. I shudder to think what would happen to the country with her being VP to such an (dare I say it) old candidate like John McCain. The thought of her being next in line to the Presidency should scare the life out of anyone with a modicum of common sense! At least Obama can put a coherent sentence together and has common sense!

quayle was, and still is, a sharp guy
—————————
First time I ever heard quayle and Sharp in the same sentence. dan quayle must be cheering palin on so she can take over the “worst VP pick ever” title.

Kate; You’re only part right about how we would be treating Sarah Palin if she were a man. If McCain had chosen a man with as little knowledge of foreign policy, economics, and energy as Palin, conservatives and liberals would have ripped them both new ones by now, and McCain’s numbers would have dropped like a stone.
Posted by: Bob | September 30, 2008, 4:11 pm 4:11 pm
Joe: Ah, I can see the vagueness of that description although in this context I would argue there was little chance of reader confusion, stomp my feet, and storm out of the classroom in a fit of artistic pique. Quite like I did in fourth grade when a teacher insisted that you could NEVER start a sentence with “Because,” which irritated me even more than the sanctimonious 2nd grade teacher who insisted that 3-4 did not equal -1, since it was impossible to take away more than you had.
And the parenthetical comment had the only words that were mine. The first sentence was a movie quote.

pt; Quayle wasn’t much of a VP, but if you ever read about how he worked when he was in the Senate, I think your opinion will be changed – a little, at least.

Kate, Kate, Kate
Why haven’t the ravenous media descended like a murder of crows on Delaware or Illinois to excavate with fine tooth comb and innunedo in pocket every travel reimbursement, unhappy constituent and malicious rumor that can be contrived by the mind of man?
Why you ask? Why? Because Joe Biden and Obama are men. And men who spend their employment-free senatorial careers engaged in fraud, graft, deceit, pettifoggery and corruption get a free pass. But let one brainy babe arise, fullblown from Zeus’ head ala Obama, and the usual pack of useless vultures emerge like a herpes virus..
Wake up Kate, the vicious attacks on Sarah Palin are attacks on you and I as women None of the attacks on Palin are rooted in anything substantive. The hate campaign again Palin is a virulent, seedy, discredited and deadly species of sexism, the same kind of sexism that stones rape victims, and turns all kinds of blind eyes to the horrific fact that male on female violence in America is epidemic! If you countenance the smearjob on Governor Palin, you condemn your daughters and mine to be demeaned as the “hos,” and slutty Paris Hiltons that Big Media demand they be, and nothing else. Did the real tough cookie feminism my Mom fought for in the 50s never even happen in this male/violence-obsessed society? Or is feminism today just another path to obtaining that much coveted victim status and a cheap abortion? Wake up ladies.

indp voter said “She is at boot camp so the gop says .Wow lots of faith in what this broad knows ,,,,Tells me she doesn’t have to much knowledge of what she is SUPPOST to know………………..SCARY”.
Pretty much the way Obama did for four days before his debate. Lots of forced knowledge there…..REALLY SCARY.

Palin, Alaska’s Governor, got a violent, reckless, dangerous, deranged police officer fired. He was also de- frauding taxpayers.
That this taser-happy cop happened to be related to Palin by marriage made made her task of ferreting out this psycho even harder. Instead of conferring on Palin the “Public Servant Award of the New Millenium”, idiot libs (a redundancy if there ever were one) are ostensibly concerned about “the rights” of an out of control, potentially deadly cop engaged in welfare fraud! This incident, like very other Palin nitpick of the hour, speaks VOLUMES about the sheer perversity of feversamp leftwingery. These people are sick puppies.
As for taxpayer-subsidized rape kits, if I got raped and went to the ER for treatment, it would never cross my PhD-privleged mind that the tests would be anyone else’s expense besides mine and/or Anthems. Are libs actually saying that anytime “bad stuff” like car accidents, crimes or disease befalls a patient that taxpayers must pay that patient’s medical bills? Or is this just another example of the inanity that libs wil grasp for to slur a pretty woman? The latter. The anti-Palin propogranda machine has reaffirmed that many of my countrymen are immoral and deceit-happy yahoos. All this freedom, all this media, all this education, all this opportunity, yet we have somehow spawned in this nation a willfully ignorant pack of sheep who trundle untroubled toward their inexorable slaughter…

Alicia, any thinking person MUST reject someone as dangerously uninformed as Sarah Palin. She is about as deep as a penny is thick. We have had eight years of a dumb president; we cannot afford any more.

They are both very transparent:
