NY Times: Obama’s Misleading Ads

Sep 26, 2008 10:11am

The New York Times is reporting this morning that Barack Obama has put out some "questionable" ads of late.  This while criticizing John McCain for less than truthful campaign commercials.  Here is an excerpt from the Times:  "Yet as Mr. McCain’s misleading advertisements became fodder on shows like "The View" and "Saturday Night Live," Mr. Obama began his own run of advertisements on radio and television that have matched the dubious nature of Mr. McCain’s more questionable spots." The Times takes specific issue with an Obama ad claiming that John McCain "stood in the way" of stem cell research.  In fact, the Times points out that McCain broke with President Bush to support federal dollars being spent on stem cell research.
