Troopergate Suit “Political, Not Legal,” Lawmakers Charge
Alaska state legislators fired back Tuesday against a lawsuit intended to stop their investigation into Gov. Sarah Palin and “Troopergate.”
The original suit, filed on behalf of five of their colleagues last week, sought to curtail the Legislative Council’s investigation into abuse-of-power allegations against Palin, or delay it until the chief investigator and key legislators involved in the probe could be removed, for alleged conflicts of interest or partisanship.
In a response filed by lawyer Peter Maassen, the defendants – the 14-member Legislative Council, Democratic Sen. Hollis French and investigator Stephen Branchflower – declare the suit “clearly meritless” and call for it to be dismissed.
The suit “is a political, not a legal, document,” the defendants charge. “It spends many paragraphs impugning the fairness and integrity of Senator French, Senator Elton, and Special Counsel Branchflower, but it does so apparently only in an attempt to taint the investigation[.]”

The investigation was launched before Palin was named VP candidate, so it should be allowed to continue. I hope it’s over before Nov. 4, so she will be disqualified for running on the GOP ticket.

I think the investigation should continue and people should be held in contempt who don’t show up to testify. The American people deserve to know the truth……….. before Nov. 4th.

Too many people, just do not realize, that the Fool, who has led the middle class, for over 100 years, will be Reveiled. And we will place a ‘Duence Cap’, on the ‘Capitolist Extremists’, and uncover their ‘Bluff’. Isn’t it a shame, that our government has been so covered up, by those who think they are smarter than the middle class. Since after all, they write the History of the World, and have the Power and Control, to make paperwork disapper. Capitolists think that money can buy forgetfulness. But just think about who Controls your thoughts. The Upper Class History writers. Follow the White Rabbit, and see a Corupted History. It can be enlighting indeed. The REPUBLICAN guard, are known as terrorists, in other countries.
Just wait for History of the World Part 2. or will it be Part 3. To part the…sea. Of the upper class, of course.

Sarah Palin holds the promise for an American future that is not obsessed with military interventions, greed, and slander. She is a bright woman with remarkable social qualities and fabulous cultural values. She can give America a new image of elegance, caring, and cultural richness. Her presence in the White House will be the great for WOMEN who are dealt the same criticisms she has gotten, EVERYDAY AT WORK…the jokes, the derisive comments, lack of experience, lack of intelligence, why?.. BECAUSE OF LACK OF OPPORTUNITY! … She will be a great VP and perhaps turn us to new page of American feminism and politics that is nurturing and not destructive… Make it possible for women to run for office again.

the real crime is people believe that if you tax big oil, the price of everything doesn’t go up.
capitalism is merely the ability for 2 or more parties to freely trade goods or services. if you can think of a better way for the real world i want to hear it.
relate these “big” issues to your family and your neighborhood and they are much simpler to comprehend. then just apply logic.

Gosh, I’ve looked for the blog page here at ABC investigating Obama’s connection to an unrepentant domestic terrorist named Ayers… am I missing it?
It must be on the same webpage the blogs about how the Democrats in Congress protected Fannie and Freddy for all those years and stopped the Bush administration attempts to get rules changes in order to have etter oversight and control of the two GSEs.

I think Palin should respect the law and cooperate with this investigation. If she doesn’t, she’s no better than Bush and Alberto Gonzalez in their disdain for our system of justice.

ABC has nothing better to do?
Nothing on Franklin Raines and James Johnson?
Nothing on Rezko and Bill Ayers?
Nothing on Henry Kissinger repudiating “without preconditions?”
Keep hating on Sarah Palin. It proves the lack of newsworthiness of your organization.

“The image of Obama that the press has presented to the public is not a fair approximation of the real man. They consciously have ignored whole years of his life and have shown a lack of curiosity about such gaps, which bespeaks a lack of journalistic instinct. Thus, the public image of Obama is of a ‘man who never was.’… The major media simply have not reported on Obama’s two years at New York’s Columbia University, where, among other things, he lived a mere quarter-mile from former terrorist Bill Ayers. Later, they both ended up as neighbors and associates in Chicago. Obama denies more than a passing relationship with Ayers. Should the media be curious?… Nor have the media paid any serious attention to Obama’s rise in Chicago politics. How did honest Obama rise in the famously sordid Chicago political machine with the full support of Boss Daley?… The public image of Obama as an idealistic, post-race, post-partisan, well-spoken and honest young man with the wisdom and courage befitting a great national leader is a confection spun by a willing conspiracy of Obama, his publicist (David Axelrod) and most of the senior editors, producers and reporters of the national media. Perhaps that is why the National Journal’s respected correspondent Stuart Taylor wrote, ‘The media can no longer be trusted to provide accurate and fair campaign reporting and analysis.’ That conspiracy not only has Photoshopped out all of Obama’s imperfections (and dirtied up his opponent McCain’s image) but also has put most of his questionable history down the memory hole. The public will be voting based on the idealized image of the man who never was. If he wins, however, we will be governed by the sunken, cynical man Obama really is. One can only hope that the senior journalists will be judged as harshly for their professional misconduct as Wall Street’s leaders currently are for their failings.”

If she is innocent why not let the facts play out? Does she not trust the legislators of her own state? Its ironic that someone who has devoted her life to politics has such little faith in the judicial system.

In case you didn’t notice 91 DEMOCRATS Voted Today Against the bailout bill….So why would Pelosi even bring the bill to the table if her own didn’t want it. The Dem’s had plenty of votes to pass it.

Cut to the chase.
Palin has no intention of testifying. Subpoenas are meaningless to this woman. Why should anyone in America respond to a subpoena if she won’t? I’m a friggin’ maverick.
Shucks, wink, wink, I’m above the law . . . are you?
