Violence Breaks Out at Anti-War Protest in St. Paul
UPDATE: As of Tuesday morning, police have arrested more than 280 demonstrators throughout the downtown St. Paul area, according to the Associated Press.
ABC News’ Lindsey Ellerson Reports: Waving signs and chanting in unison "troops out now", thousands of anti-war protesters took to the streets of St. Paul Monday for what is the largest anti-war rally scheduled during the week of the Republican Convention. Police estimated a crowd of 8,000-10,000 at the event organized by the Coalition to March on the RNC and Stop the War, despite initial predictions that up to 50,000 demonstrators would show up.
The gathering kicked off at the State Capitol and soon gathered steam into a large march to the Xcel Energy Center, where Sen. John McCain is scheduled to accept the Republican nomination for president on Thursday.
Enthusiastic demonstrators screamed "war isn’t the answer!", some inciting violence against police trying to control the march.
“Whose streets? Our streets!” yelled a young demonstrators who clashed with law enforcement.
As activists tried to push through police barricades to make their way down to the convention center, it appeared that police were using pepper spray to quell the chaotic activity.
"We do believe that some sort of chemical agent was deployed," said a representative from the RNC’s Joint Information Center, when asked by ABCNews.
Officials are reporting that the protest activity resulted in 13 arrests, seven misdemeanors, two gross misdemeanors and four felonies today.
For the latest on Hurricane Gustav, watch "Gustav Storms the Gulf" on a special edition of "20/20" at 10 p.m. ET
The St. Paul rally opened peacefully with various speakers addressing the large crowd about what they called atrocities committed by the Bush administration.
“When I say Bush, you say Liar. Bush! Liar! Bush! Liar!”roared the crowd in a call and answer session. “When I say Cheney, everybody duck!”
According to the organizers, the protest was officially endorsed by more than 125 national and local organizations.
Jay Marx, an avid activist who spent last week at the DNC in Denver, is visiting St. Paul to support impeachment of President George Bush and represent all forms of freedom.
“There might be various flavors and pieces of justice represented here, but fundamentally, we’re all here to stand for the same peace.”
Jerry Krause, a professor at a St. Paul University and member of Veterans for Peace, paraded through the crowd holding a large, bloodied flag.
When asked by ABC News if the RNC’s cancellation of evening events, which were scheduled to include President Bush and Vice President Cheney, deterred his desire to protest, Krause replied, “Bush didn’t cancel the war.”
Many activists came to support the cause from miles away. Matthew Jones, a 22 year old student who drove 950 miles to stand up against the Bush administration, was dressed in an orange jumpsuit with a black cloak over his head.
“I am here to represent the political prisoners, people locked in Gitmo without due process and the Iraq war impending Iranian conflict…because I don’t want my daughter to be affected by this capitalistic government, and then be left with nothing.”
The rally began at 11a.m. and continued throughout the afternoon.

Ah the hypocrites are so set against war yet love to get up in the face of the police.
These peace freaks always love to provoke the cops with their illegal activities and hate speech. Why is that? They promote peace, yet their actions are pure violence. Hypocrites!
But that is always the case isn’t it with these hypocrites. They are always claiming they want peace yet get violent with law enforcement.
Ironic that while these Marxists protest, the news finds a Marx to interiew.

It’s unfortunate that these people want to disrupt a peaceful assembly and trample on the rights of others, hopefully the police will be able to restore order.

Watch more closely – I doubt it is the protestors getting into the face of the police – rather it is the other way around.
this is america – land of the free – free speech
even for idiots like you. (you spew hate, violence, and hypocrisy – go look in the mirror
keep watch – many of the protestors are military – all branches – who oppose the lies, hypocrisy, and stupidity of the GOP administration

To bad they can’t run amok inside the convention hall. 4000 troops dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis dead, trillion dollars+ gone, standing of the US destroyed in the world, threats of more war with Iran. I commend the protesters for showing up. Just follow the law, but let yourself be heard.

Old Hippies never die, they simply fade away. The protestors might want to check on combat troop levels, they are down, more on they way home and more importantly they have done a remarkable job in getting things under control. While leftist rant at the unfortunate deaths that have occured they fail to realize that a half million Iraqi’s died during the period of sanctions that we helped enforce during the 90′s.

I live in Saint Paul and attended the rally and march from the Capitol to the Xcel Energy center this afternnon. It was a very peaceful march from my perspective, the cops and the SWAT teams were actually looking quiet bored. There is a difference between protesting the troops and protesting an unjust war. Support the troops and bring them home safely! Stop fighting an endless war and occupation. Iraq had never attacked us before we attacked them. If you’re not outraged, then you’re not paying attention! Get out, get active. And if you don’t vote in the upcoming election, then you have no right to complain with what the next President does.

Preemption? Try failing to adhere to the resolutions put on them. And the continued failure of them was “serious consequences”.
I knew, as most people knew, what that meant.
So save your rehearsed speech from 4 years ago about the war.
Saddams failure to comply was reason enough for war.
You people just hate war and you hate the troops that fight them. You are not fooling anyone. You started that crap 4 years ago then back peddled profusely when you realized you would be booted from the country if you ever try that crap again. So you “change” it to support the troops, end the war garbage.
You plug your ears and scream like a parrot “Bush lied”. Um, he still has a job with a democrat majority. If he lied and it is so easily proved, why is he still residing at 1600 Penn?

It will be the biggest joke in history!!
CNN is reporting on all the stories floating around the floor of the convention right now. Like all of Palin’s problems and why wasn’t she vetted properly!!
The delegates are all worried about what will come out tomorrow in the sad Palin VP mistake saga….
Poor, poor Republicans….
And since Gustov turned into a CAT 1 and pretty much missed New Orleans, what is John McCain going to do hide behind now???
At least McCain got to avoid having Bush and Cheney speak on TV at the convention!
With Gustov or not this Rethug Convention was doomed to FAILURE…

With McCain having an even more radical position on the war than even Buch, saying stay a 100 years in Iraq, protests are even more appropriate.

A trillion dollars and counting. You people actually believe this was a good idea. Are you mental? For democracy? Give me a break. Ya I hate war because innocent civilians die. So what. Is that really so bad? Bush is still residing at 1600 Penn because the dems are not gutsy enough to get rid of him, and by the way I was stupid enough to vote for Bush so i am extra ticked off.

Death and hatred to mankind,

They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?

The peace protesters are so ready to use violence to make their point. Just a little hypocritical don’t you think. Per usual, they are against violence except when they are making their point. Shades of many years ago via Vietnam. In reality they are more about making their point than a real concern about the loss of life in war. Just like in the Nam period. It was about saving your butt. Not about any real concern for Asian loss of life. The proof of this last point was seen in that their was not one demonstration in America for Cambodia when when they lost 1.5 million people to genocide during a 4 year period. Just silence on the streets. Shame on us!!!

Wow, it’s really funny how all these people who claim to love and support America get so down on people who exercise the very rights that make America great. If you are against these people protesting then YOU are against America. The Republicans, especially the Bush admnistration, and the police who do everything within their power to suppress, subvert, and hide free speech and trample on our rights are the ones against America. You, theits supporters, are just to stupid or too blind to see it. You are being controlled. You are being misdirected by the focus on a “terrorist threat” that’s practically non-existant and is a non-issue when compared to the cost in lives and money of most diseases and other concerns in this country. Go ahead though, give away your rights in the name of saftey, line the pockets of big business in the name of security, but when you, your children, and your grandchildren find every aspect of your lives watched and restricted and controlled for “safety” you will be to blame. When they’re arrested, beaten, or “disappeared” for acts that you took for granted as a child it will be your fault. When America the Great is America the Gulag it will be your fault. These people, like it or not, are working to prevent that from creeping up on you morons walking around with blinders on.

It is the POLICE – UNDERCOVERS – THEMSELVES THAT ARE THE ONES INSIDE THE ANTI-WAR PROTEST THAT START THE VIOLENCE IN ORDER TO MAKE THE ANTI-WAR FOLKS LOOK BAD.
Many of these Undercover Cops are starting the riot themselves –
IN A VERY PRE-PLANNED, STRATEGICALLY REHEARSED AND CHOREOGRAPHED PERFORMANCE THAT THEY PLANNED FOR MONTHS BEFORE THIS EVENT.

I see the article claiming that protestors are getting violent but from what I hear the police started the violence by trying to quash the protestors rights to speak. I also don’t see anything about the police raids on homes of people planning peaceful demonstrations. They raided, carted away everything they had, then released them with silly misdemeanor charges that wouldn’t get a legal search warrant in 1000 years. They even raided the non-protestors who they KNEW were going to stand back and document the demonstration on film to prevent the police from using violence and force to trample on the demonstrators rights.

Are These Folks in Touch?? Forensic anthropologists are still uncovering the mass graves in Iraq from Saddam’s secret police henchmen. No weapons of mass destruction?? Here in Canada, the Globe and Mail had a list of thousands of litres of banned chemicals that were verified by Canadian U.N. inspectors (who Saddam kicked out). Saddam never thought the U.S. would invade–he merely said, “we got rid of them.” No videos, no soil samples, no evidence whatsoever. He was a danger, and also harbored the terrorist wanted by Interpol for the Rome Airport bombing. Simply put, after 9/11, he was too big a risk to tolerate. Oil is always a factor. But the U.S. DID liberate Iraq and was not responsible for the sectarian violence, fuelled also by Iran’s involvement. The FIRST act of the U.S. was to go to the U.N. and have SANCTIONS removed so that Iraq could EXPORT oil to fund reconstruction. The U.S., Britain did not take over the oilfields. Iraq signed a 3-billion+$$ oil agreement with China days ago…the oil port is protected from Terrorist sabotage by British and U.S. forces. This is not the Vietnam War. If you haven’t been reading the papers, violence is down 85%, an unbelievable drop since the U.S. so-called “surge” was implemented by Bush. How history will view this incredible event will be seen. But to leave, would leave Iraq in the hands of a vicious regime: viz. Iran….

I’ve been to quite a few protest where there was a clash with the police, and in almost very occasion it was started by undercover police in the crowd working in a preplanned manner.
In the few occasions where I have actually seen the real protesters start anything, it was a very few who did not represent the majority of the people gathered.
Case in point was in Miami in 2003. A fire was started in the streets, but when the media followed some of the agitators around the corner, they were getting into police cars and driven away so the proetesters would not catch them. I myself witnessed them exchanging high fives with the other police.

I saw no violence on the part of the marchers. So if 13 were arrested out of 8000 I think the characterization of the crowd as violent is irresponsible. I’ve never protested anything before, but decided to protest after reading about the attempts by the police to intimidate those planning to march. Read the Star Tribune’s (Minneapolis paper’s) articles on the local police raids intended to paint the protesters all as anarchists. This is America, Isn’t it?

Bill in San Diego – Thanks. Actually I have a few hours to kill before dinner, and I saw a topic that I thought I should jump into. I have never really identified with a party or been interested in politics until I saw Paul in the New Hampshire debate. So I registered republican and became a delegate at least at the county level. Before that I assumed politicians were pretty much bought by special interests and corrupt after a few years in DC. Anyway I think I am a libertarian more or less.

There are about 1000 Iraq Vets and Afghanistan vets gathered in Minnesota protesting against the war. Are these the cowards all these people are referring too? Is this the group being called traitors, jihadist and “America haters”? The Veterans For Peace just had their national convention in Minnesota last week, and now there are thousands of US veterans marching in the streets.
I would be very careful who you call traitors. Many of these vets fought for your right to be able to say that and have the free speech you seem to want to steal away from anyone who does not share your narrow viewpoints and hate filled ideology.
That is exactly what the Nazis, Russians, Chinese, and every other fascist or communist country did to anyone who dared to try to stop government abuse and change things.
Just remember one crucial fact. In a 2007 survey by Stars and Stripes 72% of serving and active duty soldiers said they thought the Iraq War was a mistake and they would choose to come home immediately if given a choice.
Most of the military is now anti-war and opposed to fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. I suppose they are “traitiors” too?

Ben Straub–its unfortunate that the Europeans, in general, put their heads in the sand. They have done the same thing with the Islamist threat–Islamic Terror rages in over 16 nations around the globe–even in China. The Chinese solution ultimately will be to cull their Islamic population if it gets too bad. But the unfolding story of Iraq’s incredible economic developments of late have been major news stories. As I write, we are witnessing a relative minimal amount of violence due to multiple variables–troop presence, the role of the Iraqi army/police, the groups paid to weed out foreign fighters, and role of Syria in blocking cross border terrorism. There is a small revolution that has accompanied this huge lull in terms of small business activity of all sorts. I am hopeful that as that gains traction, this will be a boon to Iraqi stability. It would be ironic if history records the era of the Iraq invasion as an ultimately benevolent turning point in the history of Iraq. We assumed the Iraqis would seize the moment of democratic possibility–but they were unprepared. Moreover, in the entire Arab world, there really is no true democracy. The Koran mandates a theocracy–only one reason why Israel is such a threat to Middle Eastern totalitarian regimes. I believe we will soon see Iraqi oil paying for Iraqi security. This is just, and Congress should demand it as the baby, Iraq, begins to grow up…For all the pain and suffering they have gone through, Iraqis will owe a huge debt to the idealistic intentions of the U.S. Don’t forget, the Iraqi invasion ALSO spurred Libya to abandon terrorism. In fact, Gadaffi openly warned Iran of what it will bring on itself if it doesn’t reform. And no doubt for N. Korea to see the handwriting on the wall.

Thanks, Jennifer. I have involved in some candlelight protests here. Of course it wasn’t much considering the size of the war machine running the country. A number of vets other than myself were there, too.
Posted by: DennisNC | September 1, 2008, 3:07 pm 3:07 pm
marat – We can only hope for the best. I tend to think the country Iraq will always be fractured along ethnic or religious lines. The questions to really ask are 1) Is it our job to determine the destiny of other nations when great resentment could result, and 2) Is it wise when we need to borrow money from oversees to make it happen when that country has not done us harm? There are plenty of other questions of course, but I think the second questions rules these types of foreign engagements out for me. Not to mention lots of people die. I am not as optimistic as you on Iraq, but I hope you are right.
Posted by: Ben Straub | September 1, 2008, 3:11 pm 3:11 pm
DennisNC, thanks for giving us another source to prove that there are vets who are protesting. It makes the arguments of these idiots look like a hollow man.
All this rhetoric and hateful things said about the protesters being traitors and jihadists and hating the soldiers really pisses me off.
I interviewed an Iraq vet by the name of Spc. Doug Barber in 2005-2006, who was anti-war, and Doug later committed suicide in part because all the blind and flag waving idiots attacked him for telling the truth. The hatred of his fellow Americans along with his very severe and untreated PTSD finally drove him over the edge.

Oh I forgot to mention: All the Christians have pretty much been purged from Iraq. There are also 2 million refugees in Jordan and Syria. These are also travesties of the conflict that we are ultimately responsible for. I think Iraq was a huge mistake, and I hope we don’t make it again with Iran.
Posted by: Ben Straub | September 1, 2008, 3:16 pm 3:16 pm
News Editor – Highest suicide rate among active duty since Nam. 1 in 5 soldiers coming back with brain damage, not to mention countless other injuries. We will be paying their medical bills the rest of their lives. A real human tragedy. And then there are the Iraqis and their suffering.
Posted by: Ben Straub | September 1, 2008, 3:18 pm 3:18 pm
Ben Straub, I work with soldiers with PTSD. I have seen about 30 that I was involved with commit suicide. I know of over 500 so far who have done it just from the local PTSD clinic, and that is a far cry from the real numbers. I talked with an insurance adjuster with the VA and he says that he knows of at least 5000!!! who have done themselves in because they are just too messed up to see any other way out.
It’s a tragedy we’ll be paying for till at least 2070 if not longer. I’ve actually had a family member kill themself, so I know of it from a professional and a personal level.
I also was in the process of interviewing soldiers in Iraq who have killed themselves rather than face another day of combat.

Oh my god, this is ABC’s idea of violence?
There was no violence, it was just some kids trying to push by the cops and the cops spraying them with pepper spray.
I’m personally going to write the ombudsman and demand a reason for such a false headline. I know at the news outlet where I used to work, we had to follow very strict rules.
This is just a false headline and a 37 second video of a nothing event.
If there had been real violence you can bet this would not just be a 37 sec clip, it would be the lead news on every channel in the US.
THIS IS NOT VIOLENCE!
It’s yet another attempt by the powers that be and some in the media to make all protesters look like violent anti-Americans. It only serves to embolden those who wish to take away our rights to protest and freely assemble.
Shame on ABC! Especially after having on of their own falsely arrested and brutalized last week at the DNC.
False headlines like this only cause more hatred and division in this country.
Posted by: News Editor | September 1, 2008, 3:39 pm 3:39 pm
I hate that “Violence Breaks Out” is the headline for such a positive day of solidarity and hope.
I was at the anti-war protest today and it was very peaceful. I told each of the police thank you I passed them. They are just doing their job — it’s so frustrating when people put their anger towards the wrong people.
Please do not generalize – of the thousands of people there, only a small handful were violent. It would be hypocritical of us as protestors to hold a peace sign while saying or doing violent things.
There were large groups of veterans for peace, people of all ages including many children and families. Thank you, police officers for keeping us safe!
I marched today for the millions of innocent iraqis that have died in the war. I marched today for the 4,135 american soldiers that have died. I marched today for the thousands of people wounded, and with mental health issues that they may deal with for life.
IT IS TIME for this needless violence to end. No more war on Iraq, no war on Iran. More lives are being lost everyday. It is time.

HermanG “Freedom of speech doesn’t mean you can criticize America.”
Yes it does mean you can criticize America. That is what the whole first amendment means.
Our founding fathers were not allowed to speak out against the British government and when they did, many times they were HUNG for being traitors.
This is the reason we have a Constitution and a first amendment.
I think you need to go back and actually read it.
So anyone who speaks out against the government or criticizes America is wrong??
hahahahahahahah! Clueless!
If it were up to people like you we’d already be on our way to the detention camps.
And “these people are terrorists”?? Did you not see that many of them just fought in Iraq and Afgahnistan over the last 5 years? And many hundreds more are veterans of other wars.
That is not a terrorist to me. Maybe to you, but you are so deluded it is not funny anymore.
Oh my country, my country, what have you become. I cry for my nation for we are in a time of crisis that many people chose to call freedom.

Freedom of speech DOES mean that you can criticize America – that’s why its called “freedom of speech.”
These protestors however are not protesting America per se, they are protesting what America currently stands for under the GOP administration.
They are speaking up because they have something to say about the Administration (in this Jenna – yes the Republicans – who lied, cheated, and have drug America down to be a disaster and an embarrassment in the eyes of the world.)

Only about 100 out of over 10,000 were engaging in violence.
It’s sad that so few people can cause such stupidity.
One of the other news stations in St. Paul is working on a story about how many of the ones comitting violence were actually undercover police officers.
In some pictures they are wearing exactly the same clothes right down to the same blue jeans and black police issue Hi Tech riot boots.
A reporter I know actually saw the group who broke windows on a police car getting out of a police van and being escorted away in the same van after they did their dirty deeds.

If those protesters actually want to accomplish something, they should stop voting for overly liberal candidates (McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, Obama, for example) so that the Democrats might actually win an election now and then without having to rely on the Republicans having been in power so long that there’s no one else to blame.

Being from the Vietnam Conflict era, I strongly support the protesters. Their are so many parallels that it’s not funny. They truly did have an influence in ending that mess! Remember, our government has and will lie to further their cause. They lied about casualties on both sides to sway opinion. In times of war especially, you cannot trust what they say completely. really…add a zero on that 8000-10000 protester estimate. I was there….I watched….the protesters crossed our path several times. There were some ‘splinter’ groups, but the main parade was at least 50K. That is a conservative estimate. I think it was upwards to 100000….NO WHERE NEAR 10,000!

Ben Straub, an aside because you’re thoughtful and flirting with libertarianism. Libertarianism is a great counterbalance to those who want a nanny state, but I hope you’ll think hard before buying the underlying pseudo-philosophy that constructs an entire world view from a syllogism of “A=A” and “freedom is good, slavery is bad.” “Objectivism” is seductive if you think just hard enough, but it is fatally flawed by unwarranted absolutism, and in particular asserts a false dichotomy between freedom and slavery. You may ultimately disagree with me, but at least be on your intellectual toes if you travel that path.

Scum of the earth gathers to protest a war on the terrorists that attacked us. Doesn’t surprise me though. These same hippy un American jihadists did this crap durring the VN War. They got their way, we left. Then North Vietnam and Cambodia slaughtered over 4.5 million people. All of those deaths are on the hands of the protestors and the cowardly dnc. Not one single word or protest of the millions slaughtered. These protestors are liars and hypocrites.

I was actually a witness there today and I am telling you that the police did not overreact at all.
Firstly, the violent group was quite seperate from the main peace protest. They left the capitol about two hours before the later and were bound for trouble. I overheard a reporter from New York saying that the Police had no time to set up barricades so they had to form lines.
The police didn’t use any spray until the rioteers pushed hard against them, as you can see in the movie.
The crowd reached the Xcel Energy Center where they turned around. I think it was at this point that things turned for the worse.
It wasn’t long before the group was scatering newspaper boxes, benches, flower pots, dumpsters and whatever all around. Breaking windows of cars, buildings and other, At one point they dumped a bag of spurs on the road.
The good news is the quick citizen response there was after the mob had passed. Many peaceful citizens helped move the misplaced objects back to the right place and cleared out the road.
When the mob reached Seventh Place near the landmark center it dispersed. I observed some of the Anarchists in black change into normal dress and walk away.
I overheard a group of three boys talking about how they avoided arrest and needed to get out of there. I made notice of the fact that they had ten digit telephone numbers written on their limbs.
In the end, this was really just a disgusting act of senseless rage and really wasn’t a legal expression of free speech. I was surprised that police didn’t actually use more force than they did. The group was organized to well to their purpose, they were all prepared with various riot weapons, disguises and a plan to escape. They were intending to do this.
The actual protest took place a little later and to my knowledge played by the rules.

Thank you, thank you, thank you protesters. I am so happy that people are finally out in the streets.
What is wrong with the people who are criticizing these protesters? Innocent people are dying — the pawns of Bush (our dedicated and earnest military), and innocent humans in Iraq — women, men, children – civilians who are suffering so much because of the hideous Bush administration.
…and by the way, our American military killed most of the Vietnamese civilians (2-3 million), and destroyed their homes, land – our chemicals continue to cause birth defects, and our uxo (unexploded ordnance – 300,000 tons of it) continue to kill and maim every week. People need to understand what war is before you talk. Bush and Cheney, Rums, Rice, Rove, Powell, etc. should all be in prison.

What was it John F Kerry did on September 11? Oh yeah, he hid and cried in terror under a table for almost an hour.
I hope you were just as critical with F’n Kerry. But somehow I think you would give him a pass even if he soiled himself twice.
What “charges” exactly??? You have a democrat majority in Congress. What are you waiting for? If you have the proof, go get him.

I know you are confused. I’ll go slower. When we LEFT Vietnam. The North rolled on the South. They took it. They killed millions of the South. Remember, we were already home, we left. You hippies won. Then Cambodia killed millions of their own.
Now your homework is to look up just exactly how they were slaughtered. All of the men, women and children/babies. The key word is slaughtered.
And rememeber, it is in the millions that were killed becuase you wanted “no more war”. Your actions have reactions. This isn’t Utopia and Obama isn’t going to transform us into it.

What was it that Obama said in his coronation speech that inspired you all to think that bin Biden could be a good number 2 but not a good number 1 (unless he had to inherit the job), when bin Biden has more foreign policy experience and Senatorial experience than the Annointed One himself? Neither one of them has held an executive position. Neither one of them can reach the blue collar middle class.
My third point is this: I’d be curious to find out where all those professional war protestors came from. Minnesota? Chicago? Russia?

Only a few people actually had a hand in inciting the riots, and they were people who had no real affiliation with the cause of the group. What are you people, stupid? It’s all part of the spectacle that is this election. You people actually think you have a choice in anything? You’re freakin’ sick, gullible, and incredibly naive.

Neither candidate is going to give people what they want. My God, people…use your own heads instead of those of the media, government, and fellow “party” members. This election is a joke.

Too bad you’re filled with such hatred.
Can you prove what you said? If the police acted like SS or KGB or Chinese police, then I would guess those protesters would have been summarily executed which is the MO of those secret police units.
Do you have any proof of this occurring?
That might sway my opinion of law enforcement in the Twin Cities.

Rob: [yawn] I’m not a republican, democrat, independent, or any other label. I’m simply an American who’s sick of the disgrace that our country has become, and the spectacles that our elections have become. I am in no way an anarchist either, kiddo. I point out the obvious to a country of selfish and blind people who can’t see past their own desires and FEAR to understand the truth. The only thing I’ve experienced from looking at these blogs is that most of the people are immature and make the most absurd assumptions about everything and everyone they disagree with that I’ve ever seen. If the people of this country actually think the way it appears they do, then maybe the people really do deserve all the problems they have. There’s always someone else to blame and no one ever looks at themselves (except for their own desires and points of view). When you look at the grand scheme of things, the election is a joke, a spectacle, and amounts to nothing more than reality television-style entertainment. It solves no problems and accomplishes no goals except for those of the people in the spotlight.

I think everyone would benefit if all the name-calling was left on the elementary school grounds.
Those that are in the know realize that there are extremists on both the Dem and Rep sides. The protesters were mostly peaceful. There were the few anarchist groups who were being violent & some groups forcibly trying to get closer to the RNC. Don’t let a few ruin free speech for everyone.
And stop all the name-calling. Anyone that is engaged in this political conversation are patriots. Have an intelligent debate. Make your point. Show your sources.

I guess the Democrats weren’t involved in such things during their convention? I sure don’t remember seeing any reporting about that. On their honeymoon, the man tells his wife that since she’s a virgin, she can choose what they do first. She says “Oh, most honorable husband. I am honored to be your wife, even though I have never had the sex, but I’ve read about it. So, I have chosen to have #69.

“Excerpts from a Cat’s Diary”
Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed
hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the
rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to
keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of
escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet.
I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly
demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am. Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was
placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I
could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my
confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this
means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this
again tomorrow — but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the
other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives
special privileges. He is regularly released – and seems to be more than
willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an
informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am
certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged
protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For
now…

An engineer died and ended up in Hell. He was not pleased with the level of comfort in Hell, and began to redesign and build improvements. After a while, they had toilets that flush, air conditioning, and escalators. Everyone grew very fond of him.
One day God called to Satan to mock him, “So, how’s it going down there in Hell?”
Satan replied, “Hey, things are great. We’ve got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next.”
God was surprised, “What? You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake. He should never have gotten down there in the first place. Send him back up here.”
“No way,” replied Satan. “I like having an engineer, and I’m keeping him.”
God threatened, “Send him back up here now or I’ll sue!”
Satan laughed and answered, “Yeah, right. And just where are YOU going to get a lawyer?”

I won’t bother to read all the irrelevant and ad hominem comments above. I was at the demonstration. This news article distorts the tone and truth of the event. First of all, police crowd estimates are ridiculously low. I have been gauging crowd sizes for 40 years, at ball games where attendance is announced, for example; and there were at least 15,000 and maybe 20,000 people there. Since the cops videotaped and photographed every last one of them, I challenge them to allow an objective party to view the evidence and provide a number. There were loud chants, true, but to use the expression “screaming” leaves a false connotation. The overwhelming majority were peaceful and good-natured—until confronted by hundreds of threatening storm-trooper-style riot cops, whose training, temperament, and prejudices, aggravated by 90 degree heat, betrayed in their body language their eagerness to crack some skulls. Still, all but about 200 or 300 of the 20,000 people were there for peaceful purpose–and stuck with it. ABC doesn’t mention the marchers singing “My Country Tis of Thee” and “This Land is Your Land”—nor the contingent of Iraq War veterans leading the march; no, they give the impression that strident troublemakers besieged the Republicans. As for the cops “trying to control” the march—they DID control all the streets and every inch of downtown. They did NOTHING to protect the marchers from hostile counter-demonstrators, though. And they knew in advance that there would be troublemakers trying to cause property damage because they had that group infiltrated, as they admit, and their agents probably instigated the violence, as I suspect, based on how they operated 40 years ago and no doubt still do.
I am a St. Paul resident, incidentally, and will use my real name to back up my veracity and to defy those whose intention is intimidation.

One day a farmer called up an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician and asked them to fence off the largest possible area with the least amount of fence.
The engineer made the fence in a circle and proclaimed that he had the most efficient design.
The physicist made a long, straight line and proclaimed “We can assume the length is infinite…” and pointed out that fencing off half of the Earth was certainly a more efficient way to do it.
The Mathematician just laughed at them. He built a tiny fence around himself and said “I declare myself to be on the outside.”

“Avid demonstrators”? Is that what the kids are calling anarchists, communists, and otherwise unproductive members of society who want to destroy rather than build? The war is nearly won and these idiots are still protesting the START of the war. ABC did a great puff piece on idiots who have no jobs (must be living off mommy and daddy while they attend college even though they are 35 years old). But I guess that’s why the boys and girls are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan…to provide the right to protest, even for morons like Mr. Marx.

What ABC news won’t publish about what really went on during these protests.
“Five people were accused of setting fire to a trash bin and pushing it into a police car, St. Paul police spokesman Tom Walsh said.”
“Protesters attacked members of the Connecticut delegation when they got off their buses near Xcel Center, delegates told FOX News.com and a local TV station.”
“A group of protesters came toward the delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes, delegate Rob Simmons told KMSP-TV.”
“One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing, the station reported.”
“Delegate Arne Schoeller Jr. said that on the way back to Xcel Center, his bus driver was talking to St. Paul Police when a protester boarded the bus uninvited.”
“There were protesters laying on the ground, giving us the finger,” Schoeller, of Baltimore, said. “One got on the bus and ‘thanked’ us profanely, saying ‘Thank you for (expletive) up this country’ or something along those lines.”
“At one point, people pushed a trash bin filled with trash and threw garbage in the streets and at cars. They also took down orange detour signs. One of them used a screwdriver to puncture the back tire of a limousine waiting at an intersection and threw a wooden board at the vehicle, denting its side. Another hurled a glass bottle at a charter bus that had stopped at an intersection. The bottle smashed into pieces but did not appear to damage the bus.”
“Protesters were seen lying on an interstate exit ramp to block traffic in the downtown area and linking arms to block other roads.”
“On the weekend, authorities seized weapons and devices from a self-described anarchist group called the RNC Welcoming Committee, which was not among the organizers of the march. The devices were designed to disable buses, the sheriff’s office said.”
Unlike back in the 60’s, police cannot arrest peaceful protesters.

Kind of silly to protest the RNC now when they should have been protesting every year since the wars started, if they are truly anti-war. By not demonstrating peacefully, they are just as bad as the so called war-mongers. Demonstrating at the RNC is not going to change a thing. Life goes on for each and everyone of us.

More evidence of the DNC’s divisiveness campaign with protests escalating to violence against the Republicans. There is a big difference between the DNC candidates’s words and actions, preaching unity, and his supporters acting out with violence. The DNC nominee previously disrupted Hillary’s events with loud angry protestors sent to her campaign event sites. It was fortunate in most cases the local police could curtail the anger and violence of the protestors. The DNC is unable to bring the leadership we need, and even today with a Democrat majority in the legislature, the Dems prove they have a serious lack of focus. We need Republicans to get the job done and to provide leadership.

Yeah, right. Democrats care about the poor and working class… That is why they cause thousands of dollars in damages, cost untold dollars in police overtime, and block working people from getting to their jobs by laying in the streets.

Can anyone appreciate how asinine it is to protest war by setting fires, breaking windows, damaging property and threatening and assaulting persons who have nothing at all to do with the war? Did the police officer assaulted while on his bicycle send soldiers to the war? Did the stores who’s windows were broken launch any missiles, drop any bombs? Did the people coming in on busses that were attacked with sacks of concrete dropped from overpasses destroy any buildings in Iraq? Many of those bus passengers weren’t even state or local government officials.
Protesting the use of force by the military by using force (violence) makes as much sense as protesting drunken driving by getting drunk and going for a drive.
People do have a right to protest, they have a right to exercise their civil liberties by demonstrating publicly. But civil rights end when they reach the point of destroying private property and infringing on the rights of other people to walk or drive down the street without fear of being attacked.
Most of these violent protests are organized, recruited and trained by the same leftovers from the 1960′s that used the same methods to protest the war in Vietnam. They’re older now, and often working in academia where they can instill their failed ideology into the kids we send off to college for an education, all unknowing the kind of education they’re getting. (Not all college teachers are at fault here, but when the likes of Ward Churchill, William Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, and others are teaching socialism, marxism and revolutionism, violent protests like this is going to be the result).
EVERY ONE OF THEM who caused property damage, assaulted police or others, or attempted to do either, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, and the offenses added to their permanent police records to mark the depths of stupidity they are capable of.
But, sadly, the ACLU will take time off from defending NAMBLA and child rapists in order to defend these morons.

These people have a right to protest, but shouldn’t they have taken a break to help out with relief work for Gustav? The war will go on, but their voices pretty much fell on deaf ears yesterday. Today they will get the coverage they seek, as things begin to return to normal on the coast.

A woman has twins and gives them up for adoption. One of them goes to a family in Egypt and is named “Ahmal.” The other goes to a family in Spain; they name him “Juan.” Years later, Juan sends a picture of himself to his birth mother Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wishes she also had a picture of Ahmal. Her husband responds, “They’re twins! If you’ve seen Juan, you’ve seen Ahmal.”

Jefferson did not say ‘Dissent is the highest form of patriotism’
The Jefferson Library at Monticello
expressly repuidates the attribution of this quote to Jefferson; see
http://www.monticello.org/library/reference/spurious.html
They also cite a (real) Jefferson quote
on the evils of political dissension.
In a posting at the Volokh Conspiracy,
http://www.volokh.com/posts/chain_1147013765.shtml
Jim Lindgren reports that the earliest instance of this “quotation” that he could find in a Lexis-Nexis and in a Westlaw search was 1991. It occurs ion a June 2, 1991 Boston Globe interview
with Nadine Strossen, who was the then
recently elected president of the ACLU.
He also tracked down a similar statement
attributed to Dorothy Hewitt Hutchinson
in the 1960s

Can’t people understand that protesting is as American as apple pie? Why must an anti-war protest immediately be labeled violent and Marxist? I for one am neither violent or Marxist an I can easily understand why people would protest against this administration’s war in Iraq. As an ex serviceman – 10 years in the military, I think this administration put our young men and women in harm’s way needlessly. Impeachment anyone?

I have nothing against with those people expressing how they feel but what i dont agree is the violence they bring and hate that they so much accuse the republicans having. practice what you preach. Im a republican and i have my own beliefs why i think McCain should win. And i know some of you are Democrats and i wont argue with you.I think thats the problem we argue and dont respect each others opinion is like we cant be civilized anymore instead we are behaving more like wild animals. I would say this republicans keep their opinions to themselves unlike the democrats, where i work all of them bash me for being a republican calling me stupid and telling me i should go for HOPE and CHANGE, sorry as i cant change your vote nor can you, but unlike you i dont tell you how stupid and blind you are for voting democrat.Like i said let this be at peace each of us voting whom we want and that is that.

HermanG, If you truly love America, you will damn well criticize her when she’s heading down the wrong path. That is your job as a citizen. What would you think of a parent who watched their child take on dangerous and self-destructive habits, but who decided not to intervene or to “criticize” because they “loved” their child? The founding fathers made sure, in writing, that Americans understood not only their right, but their obligation to speak out against their country when necessary. Go back to remedial civics class, for God’s sake.

Wonder if there is truth to Obama leaking Palin’s pregnant story to media, then publicly denounces it for political points? If so, is it because to distract the public of two of his personal issues that has been circulating all over the internet for 2 years… And they are:
1. His sex and drug rendevous with Larry Sinclar implicating closeted homosexuality – google “Obama’s closeted homosexuality” and,
2. Has Obama’s birth certificate been vetted? Is it legitimate? His citizenship is questioned because there are family members who witnessed his birth in Kenya? His mother married and divorced Indonesian man who adopted Obama? The actual birth certificate document confirms to be a forged copy. Apparently candidates have to be citizens to be eligible to run for President…..

Straub…try this one for starters.
“Think about it for a second. The current administration sold a war on lies in which lives were lost and our treasury raped.”
Better check back to the previous administration and learn ‘who’ made comments about how dangerous Saddam was?
You appear to be clueless on foreign affairs and national security. Get your facts straight before posting nonsense on a message board.

The press hates republicans and spin everything to help the democrats. Even the words they use to ask a question are designed to make a statement.
Instead of asking a question they make statements and ask for answer to there slanted views as if they were true.
The press has showed that they are no longer news organizations but merchants of their own views or takes on any situation, that is why they are losing ratings and it will continue.

How stupid do you republicans think we are? We all know Saddam was an egocentric ass, but most of the fearmongering by both parties is a bunch of hogwash. Now we have given Iran our supposed enemy greater influence, and of course there all all the other problems that I mentioned previously. You guys are going down, and I am going to enjoy your fate.

Protests are the true voice of the people. When people are willing to mobilize and put themselves at risk to make a point, our elected leaders should listen. The Boston Tea Party and the Vietnam War protests are just two times that changed the course and direction of this country. The GOP should be listening. They should question their priorities and leadership in the face of these outraged Americans!

In all honesty, I think you far-left moonbats are extremely stupid.
Here are several examples.
1. Believe that 9/11 was a conspiracy and the trade center was brought down with explosives.
2. Deal with enemies by ramming head into the sand and pretend they don’t exist.
3. Believe we can replace fossil fuels with renewables overnight by waving a magic wand.
4. Moonbats are so clueless on foreign affairs…it’s scary.
5. Believe we can create economic prosperity with government regulations.
6. Lower energy prices by not developing existing energy resourcs.
Should I continue?
Yes….you people are extremely F*cking stupid. Live with it!

DaveM = another clueless loon. High gas prices are the result of clueless liberals not allowing the US to develop any energy sources…thus we get to import most of it from somewhere’s else.
Same thing with energy used to produce electricity. Get rid of Nuclear and all fossil fuels and replace it with wishful thinking.

Good job; As long as the police did not use excessive force (and it sure looked like the protestors were in the wrong here).
Look at the DNC “Bitter American’s” convention…None of these same people complained when reporters were arrested when they tried to film Democrat supporters going into posh lobbyist parties.
I want to bring our troops home also, but am smart enough to realize that there is more at stake here than OIL. I have educated friends that are still enlisting for our military because they know that these are the people who are protecting these idiot protestors right to protest.
People that are pro-terrorism (like these protestors) do NOT have my support. They need to go over to another country that does not have all of the great freedoms that we have in this GREAT country and see what happens when they spit, curse, and hit the police.
Weren’t all of these people supposed to move to France or Canada if Bush won a second term? Why are they all still here?

Ron Paul had over 10,000 marchers in DC a month ago, but it wasn’t anywhere in the press.
Posted by: Ben Straub | September 2, 2008, 9:51 am 9:51 am
What the media doesn’t seem to get is that there were two separate groups. The actual march, beautiful, peaceful, families, Iraq vets, Vietnam vets, old folks like me, was organized by the Coalition to March on the RNC and Stop the War. The 286 idiots that were destroying our beautiful city were an anarchist group called The RNC Welcoming Committee. They are not Democrats, they are Anarchists. They aren’t for anyone but themselves and they hate anyone that might dare make a rule for them to live by. Their vandalism and violence was not even in the same part of the city as we were. Our protest was peaceful and completely legal. Theirs was…well, I don’t want to use that kind of language. The media wants to lump us together. We could not be two more different groups. Leave it to the media! I guess law-abiding citizens are too boring.

Ron Paul quotes..
“If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“We don’t think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.” – Ron Paul, 1992
“What else do we need to know about the political establishment than that it refuses to discuss the crimes that terrify Americans on grounds that doing so is racist? Why isn’t that true of complex embezzling, which is 100 percent white and Asian?” – Ron Paul, 1992

A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person.
The republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, He decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republicans pocket and gave him fifty dollars.

“gtessex – Why do we have enemies? To me that is the real question.”
Why during the existance of mankind..has there been conflicts? Certainly didn’t start with Bush. We attempted to ignore Hitler..but common sense finally prevailed.
We have a choice. We can either be strong and defend ourselves or become weak and be conquered. I don’t want to be around when the USA ends up surrendering to some other country or terrorist group.
Posted by: gtessex | September 2, 2008, 10:35 am 10:35 am
I am not arguing against war with Hitler. We are strong and we can defend ourselves. We have enemies because we try to force people to a particular line of thinking through violence and threats and sanctions. 911 was a result of our foreign policy. The US will go bankrupt before anyone comes in here and takes us over. What stupid fearmongeing.

Quote – many of these quotes were attributed to Lew Rockwell by Foxnews a while back. Lew Rockwell was the editor and a contributor to these newsletters. Ron Paul’s name was in the ledger so he does bear some responsibility, and should have known what was being published. I do not defend him on these newsletters, but so much of what he says is truth and should be listened to over the two front runners.

Ben Straub: You are correct, it is unlikely this country will ever be taken over by military force. It will not be necessary if the Modern Liberal movemont gains much more of a foothold. A tyranical socialist need only to express a desire to run this country and the Libs will do all they can to enable that. Khrushchev recognised and stated this about us back in the early 50s and late 60s. I’ve no doubt that Putin feels similarly. By the way, we (the U.S.) don’t try to get people to THINK our way, we DO, however try to modify some of the more abhorrent BEHAVIOURS out there. You know, genocide, mass political imprisonment, etc. Of course, if YOU are in favor of such behaviour, state your case, I’ll listen. It similar to what’s happening in this story. If one is a radical, activist protester and one’s actions stay within the law, I support their rights. When they cross the line ( which they will ultimately do, because no one will pay attention to their drivel otherwise) then they need their skulls cracked.

I KNOW we can both define socialism but “unnecessary” militarism is a tad tougher to get a handle on. Still and all, at some point I think we’d both agree “enough is enough”. Just where to draw the line that’s sticky. I’ll be watching for your posts, I’m always ready to learn although my capacity is limited.

Seems this is the same old ideological yap, yap that has been going on since the Imperial family of Russia was overthrown and totalitarianism rose under the false flag of Marxism, and Hitler and Mussolini showcased Fascism in fine style.
That’s been the argument in this country since long before most of us were born. Now, we are in a full-blown cold civil war over these despicable ideologies, when no one in their right mind would want to live under either, if they actually knew what that would mean.
Rigid, knee-jerk ideology is a form of brain death, rendering people incapable of anything much, other than hurling insults, which say far more about the “insultor” than they do about the “insultee” or, of course, random acts of violence and intense verbal abuse.
When this nation crumbles from within, the ignorant fear-mongers and hate-spewers will have only themselves to blame, but that won’t stop them from blaming everyone else.

You can protest and hope for rainbows, but when you have people who will blow themselves up to kill you, exactly what would you like to do diplomaticly? What’s funny is most of these protestors were in elementary school while a lot of this was going on and just need a history lesson. Just like the gas crisis today….its deja vu all over….remember nixon and his plan to end our dependence on foreign oil by 1980. the embargo was lifted and prices fell and so all the presidents have been riding it out since then…too bad bush got stuck holding the bag…coupled with the securities fraud and housing/mortgage fiasco that ran rampant just long enough to make Clinton look like a good president. Haven’t you guys figured out you were only rich on paper during the Clinton years? Now all the countries that we all bitch about getting our jobs…guess what they are now developing nicely and have caught our appetite for oil. So if you really want change vote independent. Hooray for all the protesters in St. Paul who are standing up against the death machine of AmeriKKKa in the Mideast and all over the world! Hooray for the millions of people in this country who are fighting to have the majority heard, recognized, and followed! Hooray for the voice of reason in a time of madness! You’re taking back the streets, taking back the cities, laughing in the face of fools who do and say pretty much anything to provoke a sense of fear, shame, or guilt. We are innocent, we are right, and we stand against state sponsored war, war profiteering greed, the exploitation of our youth whose lives have been destroyed by the elite minority of rich white men, and the fools who slavishly ape their masters, who despise them. Leave the hate-mongers to their teeth gnashing. Malcolm X judged them accurately, when he said: those slaves loved their masters more than the masters loved themselves. They made their bed, let them lie in it.

Think about it, every single day as you zach-like are at your homes watching TV, enjoying greasy-burgers, barbecuing behind someone’s backyard and enjoying a chilled beer at some bars or clubs, these “American soldiers” are suffering – deprived of descent food, health, bed, clothes, missing their loved ones, and last but not the least RISKING THEIR LIVES…FOR WHAT??? OIL??? THAT WE’RE PAYING $4.00 FOR? Why do you think terrorists attacked America? Go out and smell the roses, majority of the people in this world don’t like American’s. Do you want that legacy to continue? If $$$s are spent in a similar fashion next 4 years, $ will have no value anymore, there’ll be more jobs lost, it’ll be VERY hard for American economy to recover, we’ll be in rising country like China’s mercy, we’ll have no money or man power to back our country anymore as we DEPLOYED ALL TO IRAQ and other countries, which will leave WHO US!!! vulnerable to attacks from ANYONE….THINK before you favor war again.

Does protesting go hand-in-hand with vandalism? Yes, freedom of speech, but no to freedom of damaging property.
All of you Obama/Marxist supporters need to get a life. If Obama wins, then America gets viewed as a welcome mat by all violent regimes the world over. Not to mention your taxes go sky-high.
If you want to live under communism, why don’t you just move to China? I’m sure they’d love to have you!!!!
Jump on board the Stop-Obama Express!! Go Rush! Go Hannity! Go Levin!!!!!

Anyone interested in what’s really going on: I recommend the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Susskind: THE WAY OF THE WORLD – A Story Of Truth And Hope In An Age Of Extremism, e.g. — “…there was a secret mission a few months before the war — a top-drawer intelligence-gathering mission that the United States was involved in — that found out everything we later learned. That there were no weapons. And we knew in plenty of time…It is a violation of American principle and law that lies, quiet and sure, beneath the country’s misfortunes. And, like a demon, it must be exorcised before doawn.”

Troops out now is a front for the World Worker’s Party(Communists). This group wants nothing more than a cultural revolution in the US to overthrow our, “Imperialistic” government.
Yet who is imperialist? Just how many countries did the Soviet Union take over forcefully, in the wake of Hitler’s destruction?
If you’ll notice in this DNS lookup,
http://whois.domaintools.com/troopsoutnow.org,
troopsoutnow.org is the same as IAC and World Workers Party which you’ll see under the related links section.
These people are using the cry of “peace” to push their agenda.

George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush lied, and thousands of people died. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.

America needs to find out if the Military Draft is going to be reinstated.
It is not right or fair that only Mainstreet’s children are used as human fodder for the Iraq war time and time again.
Where are the children of Wall Street and Congress?
