Biden Uses Cartoon to Crack on McCain Campaign Tactics
ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., Wednesday attempted to enliven a low-key Ohio crowd by referencing a cartoon that criticized Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for tying Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., to former 60s radical William Ayers at a time when the nation’s economy is in crisis.
“I think it best captures anything I have seen,” the Democratic vice-presidential nominee said before a crowd of 850 at Ohio University in Lancaster. “While the economy is going to hell in a handbasket, while people are losing their jobs, while things are going under, they’re running the most scurrilous campaign in modern history, trying to tie a decent honorable man raised by his grandparents and his mother who worked her way up, who fought in a way that few people have to fight to make something of themselves.”
“The ultimate decision here for the American people to make is to take a look at, take a look at whether or not this negative campaigning John McCain is interested in – and that’s all he seems to talk about and Sarah Palin – or you’re really going to do something about the country and the economy,” Biden added.
The jabs were one of many that Biden threw at the Republican ticket, employing one of his favorite terms – “malarkey” – to denounce GOP attacks on Obama.
“This is the ultimate job application, man,” Biden said of the quest for the presidency. “This is the ultimate, ultimate job interview. And that’s what it’s about. People aren’t looking for a lot of extraneous malarkey. They’re looking for – what are you going to do, guys? What are you going to do to change my circumstance?”
Biden said the economic crisis had left Americans “drowning”, but the McCain campaign had no new solutions to save them, therefore having no recourse but to resort to “political stunts” to win the election.
“When you’re drowning, you’ve got to try a new method to stay above the water,” the Delaware lawmaker said. “And John McCain’s offering nothing new. And that’s why I think John McCain’s campaign is becoming so erratic – political stunts instead of offering significant solutions.”
At the fifth event of his two-day Buckeye State bus tour, Biden was introduced by two prominent Ohio lawmakers, Gov. Ted Strickland and Sen. Sherrod Brown. The latter offered the crowd a vision of the future: Democratic viewers changing the channel to FOX on Nov. 4 to watch Bill O’Reilly declare the election for Obama.
“I can hardly wait to watch television,” Biden responded when he took the stage. “Sherrod, I was taking notes. I tell you what, man, I never thought about that FOX deal.”
“Ted, you got that stopwatch working,” Biden said, referencing Strickland’s prediction that the election would be called in Obama’s favor at precisely 11:47pm. “11:47. I tell you what, that may be the second time I watch O’Reilly.”

—PITTSBURGH (AP) – U.S. Rep. John Murtha says his home base of western Pennsylvania is racist and that could reduce Barack Obama’s victory margin in the state by 4 percentage points.
The 17-term Democratic congressman tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in a story posted Wednesday on its Web site that, as he put it: “There is no question that western Pennsylvania is a RACIST AREA.”—-
This sounds like Obama:
“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
The One: If you oppose him—especially if you are a Democrat–then you must be a Racist.

McCain Campaign Strategy Meeting
Can’t win on domestic policy
Can’t win on international policy
Can’t win on tax policy
Can’t win on medical care policy
Can’t win on financial policy
Can’t win on education policy
Can’t win on credibility (thanks Palin!)
Can’t win on judgment
Can’t win on personality
Can’t win with old war stories
Can’t win with a sarcastic pageant princess
Can’t even win getting mavericky
“Uh, John, lets try name calling. That’s change right? Let’s do something really different and start smearing. That’s what Americans want. That’s what our country needs. I’m good at sarcastic insults as long as they’re written down. And besides, I won’t have to know what I’m talking about if you’ll let me just make accusations!”
“Sarah, I would rather sell my integrity than lose an election. We’re mavericks. Let’s do it!”

What Obama said was absolutely true. People do cling to religion and guns (if they have any) when times are tough. And, who isn’t bitter these days? We all have a lot to be bitter about. So what did Barack say that was incorrect? Sometimes the truth hurts, huh??

McCAIN = McCARTHY 2.0

Sen. Joe McCarthy –1954
SOUND FAMILIAR??????
“I think people should know that Sen Obama has associated with a man, that 40 years ago, was a member of an organization that advocated domestic terrorism.”

TIM RUSSERT: The fact is you are different than George Bush.
SEN. McCAIN: No. No. The fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed. And on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I’ve been totally in agreement and support of President Bush.

Leave it to Bad Botox Biden to totally miss the issue of Obama’s candor with the voter being important. Obama lied during the primary when he said that Ayers was just a guy in the neighborhood, then it was that he served on a non-profit board and his kids went to school together. When the records were finally released from the University of Illinois showed much deeper ties to Ayers – Axelrod said that Obama didn’t know. Then when he was ask again he said well he knew the was a terrorist, but that he thought he had been rehabilitated.
Why did Obama lie during the primary?

People look to religion as a foundation of their lives—in good times and bad. Only Hollywood and Berkeley think people would only resort to religion (specifically Christianity) when their lives have gone down the tubes.

The REPUBLICAN “REFORMERS”
John McCain – guilty of Violation of Ethics
Sarah Palin – guilty of Violation of Ethics
Todd Plain – UNELECTED individual uses power from the Governor’s office to settle personal vendetta
Cindy McCain – guilty of Stealing Drugs from a charity for her own use
Seems what really needs reforming is the Republican notion of leadership!

Biden is not correct in going strong against McCain. Look at the money that the Dem ticket is spending. Look at the number of negative ads being run in battleground states. Look at the absolute refusal of BHO to address the questions about his past life and associates. Close your eyes and give the entire country over to the Democratic party and remember they spent and bought the election.

Most of the negative ads are being run by McCain. Who cares how much they have spent. I don’t notice McCain being ahead of Obama in the polls. Guess his strategy isn’t working.

NEWS SUPPRESSION
Another intervening motion was filed today in the ongoing federal suit against Barack Obama. This motion, filed pro se by “U.S. Citizen and voter” Judson Witham of Provo, Utah, is the third such motion for leave to intervene filed in this case. As I mentioned when the others were filed, I feel as though we should continue to focus our attention on the case-in-chief.
So now we have the State of Washington, and Utah……with Mr. Berg’s filed motion AND STILL NOW “MEDIA” COVERAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

William,
You Repugs should stop being such cry babies.
Are your Repug supporters not supposed to be richer than Dem supporters.
Why can’t McCain spend on positive ads instead of the slimmy ones he is running now.
McCain has run the worst Presidential Campaign in recent memory and that is why he is losing.
So stop blaming Obama. Get your head out of the sand buddy.

Ann,
Shove it with your frivolous law suits.
All those suits will be dismissed as the others before them.
Stop trying to pretend with your Repug tactic of shooting the media.
The media is in the tank for McCain.
McCain is dieing and the media is hiding it from the voters deliberately.
McCAIN IS SICK, VERY VERY SICK.
McCain will die in Office if elected.

JOBS are 4 letters not 3, Senator Biden. You and Obama with his 57 states have an intelligence (IQ) problem.

Mary,
If I were you I would be far more mortified that Palin couldn’t answer a question about what publications she reads. Now THAT’S scary!!!

Some of the frustrations at aim at me! An undecided leaning towards McCain supporter… but not anymore. Obama has my vote now among many other issues that includes the economy and education.

Barack Hussein Obama lied many times during the final debate. Barack Hussein Obama does not perceive foreign policy when relating to South America and the Middle East. Barack Hussein Obama’s face shows he is lying and that he has many misconceptions about America’s needs.

All presidential poles are known to slant to Democrats with more Democrats than Republicans populating the poles. This is the direct reason Barack Hussein Obama is leading in the poles.

In the final debate, Barack Hussein Obama talked more like Republicans George Bush and Herbert Hoover. Barack Hussein Obama related to growing the federal government, raising taxes and trade restrictions. Barack Hussein Obama says he not repeating the last eight years of the Bush administration, but talks like President Bush. If Barack Hussein Obama is elected president, he says he will do all the things that Herbert Hoover did that led America into the great Depression.
You had better do some real thinking before you pull that lever.

How would you like to have the job of negotiating with a sarcastic SOB like McCain?
Obama is cool and reasonable, even when McCain is coming unglued, rolling his eyes, and emitting loud sighs. That is the key to diplomacy. Can’t imagine how McCain has ever accomplished anything bipartisan unless he bullied people into agreement.

It must hurt to be Sen. McCain. It must hurt to be a person of such rage, to the point where the rage is obvious in Sen. McCain’s eyes, in his words…and the sarcasm he almost spits. Tonight I say a prayer for Sen. McCain and our country. A prayer that Sen. McCain find some inner peace, and for our country…
that Sen McCain not be elected president. Thank you.

WHAT A SHOCKER!

Barack Hussein Obama says he is not repeating the last eight years of the Bush administration, but talks like President Bush. If Barack Hussein Obama becomes president, he says he will repeat the acts of Herbert Hoover (raising taxes and trade restrictions) that led America into the Great Depression.
John McCain and Sarah Palin have a much better understanding of how America can survive the financial crisis. John McCain and Sarah Palin do not talk like a George Bush and a Herbert Hoover.
You had better do some real thinking before you pull that lever.

Say, “Independent Voters,” for someone so obsessed with one of the candidate’s full name, you sure have no problem with using an alias, and a deceitful one at that.
What do you expect people to do at this point? “His middle name is Hussein??? That does it, he lost MY vote!” I’m glad Iraq’s president wasn’t named “Smith” or half of America would be guilty…

It is a sad day the country we live in is still so divided on issues that matter to all Americans no matter what your ethnic disposition is. It is even more disappointing that this is really an underlying issue on race. I pray that no matter what our affiliations with parties, or race are, we come to the conclusion that America is hurting and needs healing. That this in house bickering is a sign to the world that we are not all that we say that we are and that we the PEOPLE need to take back our government. We live in a sad and disappointing time!!
