President Clinton could careless about Obama. He is just doing his duty

I think Bill is doing his duty to the Democratic party. It must be killing his soul to have to endorse Obama rather than Hillary. What a difference in policies.

Just doing his duty.

Hundred bucks says that Hillary gets Secretary of State out of the deal, how else could the party get the Clintons onboard?!?

I think Bill Clinton is doing his duty to the Democratic party. He hates Obama or extremely dislikes him. He ruined Bill’s chance for a 3rd term in the White House.

r u for real to even ask that question????
the better question is, what does he look to gain by “doing his duty”????? hillary in 2016?????? or what else, pls????

I think he is just doing his duty to the Democratic Party. In fact, I think that is exactly what Hillary is doing as well. Unless she has an agenda that will take her to the Supreme Court, with the help of Obama…and Bill is doing what he can do to help her get there.

I don’t think there is any question that Bill Clinton campaigning for Obama is merely out of party loyalty. If Bill Clinton truly supported Barack Obama, he would not have made so many pro John McCain comments in recent months, and he would have campaigned more aggressively for Obama.
I suspect when Bill Clinton pulls the lever in the voting booth, it will NOT be for Barack Obama.
Posted by: LJC | October 29, 2008, 12:11 am 12:11 am
Bill Clinton most certainly is just trying to make himself and Hillary look good to the Democratic party by campaigning for Obama. Everything he does is just to self-promote.
Posted by: Carolyn Waltz | October 29, 2008, 12:11 am 12:11 am
Bill Clinton is only on board because it looks as if Barack will win. He has barely campaigned at all for Barack, and should have made joint appearances months ago. I’m sure he was hoping that Barack would be losing right now.
Posted by: Randy | October 29, 2008, 12:11 am 12:11 am
I’m not quite sure I understand why this question is important.
Either Former Pres. Clinton is sincere or he is not. He is a stong compaigner.
He may well be feeling the sting of he wife’s loss, but we need him to campaign and he will. Do we need to get into his head? I’d rather not.

I believe if President Clinton really supported Obama, he and his wife would have joined the campaign after the DNC. I believe President Clinton is only traveling with Obama to Florida out of obligation to the Democratic Party, not to genuinely support him. I think this is a sad state of affairs for the Democratic Party if this is the case.
Posted by: Lisa | October 29, 2008, 12:12 am 12:12 am
He is just doing his duty to the Democratic party. He has never appeared to me to be very enthused about supporting Obama and I halfway expected him to really buck the party and come out for John McCain. He and McCain have worked a lot together.

Doing his duty. After all, there’s still a chance for a Clinton to be president…Chelsea.

I think he is just doing his duty. You haven’t seen the wingbone of his ass prominently displayed at any time during the campaign. Give it a rest – everyone.

I think Clinton is doing his duty, but more importantly to me, Why isn’t President Bush doing more to help McCain? At least raise more money!!

Just doing his duty to the DNC. I was a Clintonian but he disappointed me when he called Obama’s views “the biggest fairy tale”. The Clintons behaviours during the primary campaign tarnish Bill’s legacy. When He questioned Obama’s experience, when he, himself wasn’t very experienced when he assumed the Office. I’d vote Obama but would like the Clintons to just go away!

Bill once had his ass kicked pretty good for lying. He tries to be diplomatic but comes across as a man who has learned a lesson, respects himself and demonstrates far more grace to Obama than has been earned by the one. Bill Clinton is a great politician. He, like Hillary, is doing what they promised to do. But deep down, we PUMAs know better.

President is doing his duty for the Demoncratic Party. I would not believe him today after what he said about Obama a few months prior.

Bill Clinton is NOT, never has been and never will be on board with the Obama campaign. Call it lip service, call it throwing a few crumbs to the birds, call it what you want, but whatever you do, DON’T call it support.

I truly believe that BILLARY, both of them, are ONLY doing this for the sake of the Democratic party – they feel that it’s their duty – but ALL of us Americans that see through the dust that the Obama campaign has kicked up, feel certain that both of them will be casting their honest vote for McCain/Palin – if you’re interested in more of my views on things click on these links!

After all of the negative things that both the Clinton’s and Obama have said about each other. It is an obsolute joke that they are even seen together. So what, as soon as the primaries are over we all forget or are supposed to forget all of the negative things that are said. There is nothing worse than the primaries. All the politicians have nothing nice to say, drag out any piece of dirty laundry they can dig up then wam the primaries are over and you get Bill Clinton supporting Obama at a rally or speech and the biggest joke is that Obama lets him speak for him. What are we teaching our children. Has anyone seen the commercial You Know! The one about hurting people by talking about them. Grow up! Tell me what you want to do to help this country.-

I think every time Hillary and & Bill go out on the stump for “THE ONE” they probably feel like puking. They must do it, tho, because she owes so much $$ from her campaign (remember, she outdid him in the POPULAR vote!) and he supposedly got a “promise” of $$ help from him, plus the DNC wouldn’t help either without them going out for “THE ONE” – - who will be a one-termer, then Hillary can maybe try again. AND Biden? That man’s brain is so scrambled from all the hair plugs and botox – he’s pitiful!!

Bill Clinton has made it clear any number of times that he does not like Obama. Any appearaces he makes with or for Obama is for strictly political reasons.

I think Bill Clinton is serving his democratic services, and at the same time supporting Senator Obama. His presence will indeed help Senator Obama, and bring America,a President that cares about the American people.

He’s only doing it because there is something in it for him. How could anyone trust a man that one month talks about how inexperienced he is and names every reason under the sun as to why Obama shouldn’t be president and then does a complete 180 in a matter of months? How can anyone trust a Clinton/Obama at all?

I don’t think Bill’s on board. It’s been difficult for him to give up the reigns of the Democratic party to Barack Obama. It is not likely that his feelings have changed but he’s a good sport for trying.

Does Bill Clinton’s vote count extra? Why is someone’s word not good enough? He says he supports him and that should be the end of the story. Stop trying to make up a story when there is none there. Medical science has not advanced enough in order for someone to look inside a person’s mind and really know what they are truly thinking. He is getting criticized for supporting his wife and that is unfair. Why is Romney’s loyalty not questioned in relation to his support for McCain even though he ran against him. Give the man a break and lay off.

I heard Bill Richardson on NPR about 2 weeks ago saying that Bill Clinton hasn’t talk to him again, since he endorsed Obama and not Hilary in the primaries. Richardson said that Hilary seemed to have moved on but not Bill.

oFormer President Clinton is an honorable man with legacies not even a million dollar can buy. He is not a hyprocrite and therefore, onboard the ticket for real. Of course, there were disagreements but unity was the end result. Obama can’t win without the white votes and support of the Clintons. Bill’s presence is welcome news

What does it matter if the Clinton’s haven’t talked to Bill Richardson? Sounds like he is crying over spilled milk and needs to find something else to make comments on during this election rather than if someone is talking to him or not. Sounds like Mr. Richardson thinks the world is revolving around him. Maybe he needs to do more and help get the vote out in this election rather than trying to be divisive.
Posted by: Sam | October 29, 2008, 12:28 am 12:28 am
There is definitely something to it and it’s not Obama, what else would you expect from slick willie. How do they figure (Clinton’s) support will benefit the cause, maybe it’s a magic trick? Halloween is just around the corner.
Posted by: jim | October 29, 2008, 12:29 am 12:29 am
Bill Clinton has always enjoyed being in front of the camera and many people still like him. He may back Obama, but I think he is mainly appearing with Obama for the Democratic Party first and foremost.
Posted by: Susan | October 29, 2008, 12:29 am 12:29 am
He is doing this for duty.
But why should Bill actively campaign for Obama? He doesn’t own Obama.
Why shouldn’t Obama do something for Clinton?? I never seen Obama support others, I only saw him asking others to support him.
When Hudson’s family tragedy occurred, he said he was still looking for her phone number. Why can’t he immediately call her back? The phone number should be very easy to find out.
There is just one small example. I bet we can find lots of other examples.

One has to wonder what happened to the debt accumulated by Hillary Clinton in the primaries. I think the Clintons were expecting Obama to help them.
Posted by: AlomaGirl | October 29, 2008, 12:30 am 12:30 am
It is quite clear that this is Clinton is going through the motions and could’nt care less about Obama’s chances in florida.
The Clintons despise Obama for ruining Hillary’s chances in the primary and Hillary could easily have become the next President of the US. They lost this chance and they wont get over it so easily.

I was able to hear former President Clinton speak on behalf of Senator Obama this past Saturday in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Up until his speech, I did feel he was just doing his duty on behalf of the Democratic Party. But after hearing him list many reasons for the American people to vote for Senator Obama, I got the feeling he was just as afraid of another four years of the same, as the rest of us gathered there.

The NPR journalist had asked Bill Richardson the same question we are here to answer. “Is/Are Clinton(s) over the lost?” He wasn’t “crying” about it.

It is better to have two plans than one. But who is going to get the shaft? Will it be the companies going under and leaving less jobs for employment or is it bail them out to have more employment?? Here is a hint: prices on recycling has drop aprox 70% within one month , but yet the the cost of the shelf price did not drop at all.
ex:
a pound of ins. copper wire is down to 60 cents to the dollar in which was over $3.00 per pound. Why is the price still outrageous to buy new wire?
We the people did not make this happen the government did.

Before the Primary, Bill Clinton said he had always hoped for a woman president and an African American president, and he just wished they hadn’t happened at the same time. I supported Hillary and I felt exactly as President Clinton did. I am wholeheartedly for Obama now and for the same reason I know Bill Clinton is also. I think that Clinton is doing this just to help support the Democratic Party, not because he genuinely wants to see Barack win. I think it is more for himself than it is for anything. He made some disturbing remarks about Obama and I don’t think that his feelings just erased. I hope that it is genuine but I don’t think it is.

Hillary Supporter for McCain
Posting this from another Puma….
Just got this email fwd: haven’t been able to keep up w/ posts so I apologize if it’s a duplicate.
‘Twas the night before elections and all through the town
Tempers were flaring, emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe with a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV, tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden there arose such a noise
I peered out of my window saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet they wanted my pay
To give to the others who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money and quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon as I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out to tear my country apart!
‘On Fannie, on Freddie, On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi’ He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause and as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think on this one final note-
IF YOU DON’T WANT SOCIALISM GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Bill Clinton is one of the most astute political figures in American history. If you have him on your campaign trail that says it all. The question asks one to argue the chicken or the egg theory and is irrelevant. Bill Clinton knows well what the republican majority has done to the economic condition of America. He knows we must change the direction of politics in this country or there will have to be a Civil War to emancipate the working man. Anyone who could support entrusting a republican with power or authority after what they have done is either and idiot or is filthy rich and self serving. The facts are just that simple within this election. Vote Democrat or bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.
Posted by: Ed C. | October 29, 2008, 1:20 am 1:20 am
The Clinton’s can’t reverse course and now think Obama is now ready to be President, when they both have indicated he’s not. They are just doing the party loyalty thing now. Even Biden, has said he’s not ready. So If he does win this race. We are in DEEP DO DO!!!! But I’ll pray for his safety and the Leadership of our Country once this is all over with. WE can only have one President and Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces. As a Vietnam Veteran and Retired Military. I would much rather have a person that has served our Nation in uniform and can understand the hardships the members and their families endure. So I’ll be praying for the person that assumes that Office no matter which one wins.

Both the Clintons are consumate career politicians; the best in the business. They and any other politician destined to succeed will do what they have to do. If you’re asking who will Bill (and all the Clintons) vote for?….no question, John McCain.
Posted by: mccaindem | October 29, 2008, 1:29 am 1:29 am
Bill Clinton is a real sharp polititian and he can see a snow job whenever he sees it that is why I think he still holds on to his same beliefs that he had during the primary.
Posted by: larry | October 29, 2008, 1:29 am 1:29 am
This is an asinine question. Why is it important to get into Clinton’s head? Whether he’s doing it for party loyalty or love of Obama is not important. THE END RESULT IS THE SAME: HE’S DOING IT. So whether it’s for this reason or that, is not only unimportant, but we will never know.

I’m sick of hearing idiots talk about Obama supporting socialism….
That is about as ignorant of a thing as I have had to stomach. Only the people who are making over a quarter million a year are not going to receive tax relief under Obama. However McCain will raise your taxes because he will have to just to keep the national debt from bankrupting the Country. The national debt will be tripled under McCain within two years.
These fools have heard McCain and Palin touting socialism under Obama. What they won’t tell you is that the republican majority has moved this country under FASCISM. Just ask Joe the plumber…. after the IRS gets through with him….on back taxes owed.
I have never seen so many ignorant arrogant people exposing they are republican. I would be embarrassed to let anyone know after what these fascist have done to our country. Good God!!!

I think right now the relationship is purely for the sake of party loyalty, but who knows? Bill Clinton is no dummy, and as time goes by, he may come to see Obama as a young protege. This is even more likely if Hillary gets her due, a choice spot in the cabinet.
Obama and Clinton could both learn and grow, in fact they could share a pretty dynamic exchange of ideas, if they don’t let their egos get in the way. That’s what I love about Joe Biden. He seems a bit more mellow.

I do not think Bill Clinton is in the least supporting Obama for President for any other reason than to help the Democratic Party win the election, or he sees an opportunity to in some way get some of Hillary’s Campaign money back. I do not think he believes that Obama can possibly be good for the “People” of America. I supported Hillary. I cannot in good conscience support Barack Hussein Obama. We need an “American at Heart” for President

Ed C I will not talk about Socialism but I will talk about Obama’s tax plan. The 95% of the people he says it will help should realize that whenever the companies that he taxes so much move overseas that tax cut won’t matter because they won’t have any wages to tax.

Just doing his duty. I don’t think playing the race card on Clinton is something he’s going to forgive and forget for quite sometime. Clinton loves the limelight so I’m sure some of his getting on board is not just being a good Democrat but also somewhat self-serving on his part. I would love to see who Bill casts his vote for though because if it was a vote for McCain it wouldn’t shock me at all.

Larry
The companies that wish to move overseas are going to move if they choose cheap labor. Obama will cut any tax advantages they currently enjoy and will empower the companies that gear up creating jobs in America producing those same products. He has already explained that several times…
Trickle down economics has failed…in every way other than making the 1% filthy rich beyond our wildest dreams….
Its time to inject money into health care and fix social security and let the banks and big business support what the masses need. We can do that by lessening the subsidies the government is paying them and using that money to fix needed services or we can continue subsidizing big business and forcing them to pay it back in tax so subsidies are only a loan rather than a gift from tax payers.
Obama shows signs of being a wise of a man as Bill Clinton. If he is we have a chance. If he proves not to be this country is in for something that will dwarf the Great Depression.
If McCain should win we can expect triple the national debt as well as a Civil War in the country within ten years just to emancipate the working man. And America will never be the same ere again…..

I think Bill Clintonis campaigning for Obama be cause he wants him to win. This world can’t stand another 4 years of Bush, and that is what McCain will bring.

George W’s campaign in 2000 muddied McCain’s name in North Carolina..can you remember..when they said all manner of evil things about McCain? When Bush won..who supported him? McCain! did and voted with him 90% of the time. That is the game of politics..you semingly ignorant bloggers do not seem to understand the game of politics..the candidates criticizes each other during the primary and then turn around and support the nominee of the party..this has always been the case, so why are you bloggers making a big deal about Clinton and Obama is beyond me.

Ava, well said and I could not agree with you more. McCain/Palin are extensions of the Bush legacy and the stupid trickle down economics..Which spreads the wealth around to the rich folk..and hope that it will trickle down to the middle class.
Posted by: Stanley | October 29, 2008, 2:06 am 2:06 am
Ed C suppose those companies don’t move overseas they are going to do one of two things 1) they are going to cut their payroll to compensate for the extra tax 2) they are going to raise the price of their product. Either way middle America pays. If they are layed off that is the end of their wages. If they receive a tax break but as consumers have to buy the product at an increased cost that will probably negate any advantage they had realized with the tax break.

William Buffet,Colin Powell,Bill Gates. What do these men have in common? They are wise men who love their country.. and who are they supporting for president? Barack Obama! That is good enough for me..I am voting for Obama! Maybe the three formention personalities believes in socialism! What do you think? You so called wise Republican blogger who say that Obama is a socialist. I hope you don’t accept social security or medicare because these are tenets of the socialist doctrine.

When Bill Clinton ran in 92′, he was called all the names that the McCain camp have called Obama. Names like socialist, Communist, Marxist and liberal. Guess what! Bill Clinton balanced two budgets and left us with a surplus. You Republican bloggers..what have George Bush left us with..a deficit and McCain supported him 90% of the time…go figure!
Posted by: Stanley | October 29, 2008, 2:15 am 2:15 am
Bilious and Hilarious Clinton are both lower than whale dung. They hate Obama and are only passively participating in his support to impress the imbeciles in the liberal establishment. They’re not about to burn bridges right now, but they would actually rather have McCain/Palin win so that they can make another stab (yawn) at the White House. Besides that, I’m sure that Bubba would like to keep Sara close to his digs in D.C. because I’m sure that he thinks that he just might have a shot at her. He’d better check out Todd 1st. Bill’s red swollen nose just might get bigger and redder!

Stanley Even though McCain may have vote with Bush 90% of the time a lot of the bills that went through congress weren’t really earth moving and remember that those bills had to go through congress before they got to Bush.

I think Bill is just doing his job as a Democrat. He couldn’t care less about Obama. While we are on the subject of Obama, why isn’t the media not reporting about this secret viedeo the Los Angeles Times has on Obama having a bash with the palestinan leader. Don’t you think the american people have the right to know the truth about this man. I think ABC owes this to the American people, to let them know what this man is truly about. You still have time, you have a week until the election. The LA Times should be ashamed not to release this video. God help America.

Bill is merely doing his duty. Anyone who thinks differently is delusional. I lost great respect for Bill and Hillary for the way they ran their campaign.
As a side note: I hold Palin/McCain responsible for inciting the discrimination and racial tension that is growing in this country since Palin has been on the GOP ticket. It was a big mistake choosing the Governor from Alaska.
These past couples of months have been very disheartening to watch the GOP.

Bill Clinton is doing his duty to the Democratic Party — and that’s not a bad thing. And like for a lot of us, the dread of a McCain Administration is very motivating.

The Clinton’s did a lot of damage
to Obama with slander…just like
McCain has. I believed that too many
people were not happy with the
Clintons back then because of that.
And since they/she lost…they felt that it was a good idea to redeem themselves and not be remember for
their lewd behavior. Being remember as
being defeated was bad enough. Besides
that, I believe Hillary felt that she
really needed to help Obama by getting
her women voters to side with Obama in
order to win McCain. The Clintons do
want for the democratic party to win.
If Obama wins, the democratic party wins….So they do want for Obama to win. They do care that he wins. Sure they hurt, for loosing ,but they are trying to do what is best for the
country and they might not agree 100%
with Obama, but they do agree with him
in many issues. They deffinitely don’t
agree with McCain’s. Besides..now that
the Clinton’s are more personaly/closely associated with
Obama…they might see him different from before as a person. Sometimes knowing a person more personaly can
change from dislike to like. Obama is
highly educated, attractive, with a lot of self control, and charisma…who
really has a heart for the middle class.
Hey!Even Jesus who was and is the Son of
God had a lot of racist enemies, because
he was a jew, and he also had enemies out of jelousy because of his fame, and those who did not want anything to do because of his righteouness and because who he claim to be. My point is that there is always going to be those opposing no matter what.

There’s a good reason why Hillary didn’t win. Did anyone REALLY want Bill back in the White House? I admire Bill Clinton but he couldn’t help but be biased towards his own wife. Bill Clinton was a very good, if not great, president, but I could never warm up to Hillary. She seems like a conniving and manipulative power monger who overreaches and always falls short. You have to remember that she is reviled by not only the Republicans, but also some Democrats.
Bill’s gotten over Hillary’s defeat. I’m sure he sees some of himself in Obama and wants to help, but at the same time, Obama is his own man and he’s not going to look at himself as Clinton II or even his protege. Bill’s got a massive ego and really only cares about his own legacy in the eyes of the public. I still admire him and he remains a political force, but the truth is that his time has come and gone. It’s good for Obama to get Clinton’s support and it’s great for the Democrats to unite, but Obama is his own man.

Bill Clinton is all show and full of hot air. He’s preparing the Democrats for HilIary in 2012. I’ll never vote for an individual who shows little or no respect for the US Flag. He’s a disgrace to the nation. The huge crowds that follow Obama remind me of the 3rd Reich. I’ll take John McCain any day.

Ruth, the disgrace to this nation is the way McCain and Palin have ran this campaign. It’s amazing to observe the amount of bigotry and outright hatred that the Repuke ticket has sown to divide America. I used to like McCain because he was indeed someone who bucked the far-right nut jobs in his own party, but he has betrayed himself to become the very sleazeball that he claimed to have fought throughout his political career.

The Clintons do not want Obama to become president! That would mean that Hillary would’t have a chance for becoming president in the future. He is doing what is expected of him from the Democratic party.

I think Bill is going for some nice weather and a little golf. He has never been onboard with Obama. Since Bill will not have a role in the White House this term, he could care less now. It has always been about Bill not Hilary.
If she has lost her old bagage she may have had a chance. I hope Obama does not give her a position in the White House. Let her stay in NY as a senator.
Posted by: DonnaL | October 29, 2008, 4:26 am 4:26 am
Bill is just doing what will look best for the democratic party. When Hillary runs again in 2012, it will be much easier for her to defeat McCain than a president in her own party. I love the Clintons, but they have to be number one. So I tp believe that when they get behind that curtain they both will vote McCain….as will I!

Bill is doing his duty as ONE of the leaders of the Democratic party. I don’t think he was quite ready to pass the baton to Obama and thought he would hold onto it for another 8 years with Hillary as Pres.
It didn’t happen. Maybe Bill believes that his wife (with his guidance) would be a better pres then Obama.
It doesn’t really matter what he thinks, as long as he does his job and does everything he can to get Democrats elected.

It’s amazing that so many of you think that Bill Clinton is only doing his duty to the Democratic Party. If that is the case, then how many of you believe that Obama is the right choice for our country? I personally agree with the majority that both Clintons are simply doing their duty but I am voting for McCain. Clinton has been noted as one of our best presidents ever and I think he’s on to something for not supporting Obama wholeheartedly.

BILL IS ON BOARD. DID YOU SEE HIS FACE WHEN OBAMA FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED HIM AT THE CONVENTION? HE HAS BEEN UP FRONT ABOUT HIS PROCESS ON THE EARLY SHOW AND ON LETTERMAN BY SAYING THAT HIS FAVORITE CANDIDATE LOST. FOR ALL HIS NEUROSES, IT IS CLEAR THAT HE CARES ABOUT PEOPLE A LITTLE MORE THAN POWER. HE IS A DEMOCRAT AND THAT HAS ENABLED HIM TO START LICKING HIS WOUNDS AND FOCUS.

What choice does Bill Clinton have in the first place but to make sure that Barak Obama gets elected as the next President? If John McCain were to get elected, both “Bill & Hill’s” hopes & dreams of having things anywhere near the way that they would want them, they could simply kiss good-bye! Possibly, there could be something in this as far as some Sec. of State position, in Obama’s cabinet, or some Supreme Court Nomination for Hillary maybe down the line. But as far as the hopes & dreams for the Clinton’s to return to the White House again, 4 to 8 years from now, those hopes are gone…… Eight years ago, it was John McCain that had the hopes of possibly making it to the Presidency by supporting the man he hated in G.W. Bush……By doing so over all those years, look where it got him! He always likes to refer to himself as a “Maverick”. But as soon as he fell in lock-step with G.W. Bush, years ago, he lost the “Mo-jo” he once had, that people liked…… Eight years from now, I’m sure that Bill & Hillary Clinton aren’t going to be the same people they are now either. (They may not even be alive eight years from now.) And years from now, if Hillary is anything like the way she is now, I just can’t see her being electable as President either. She’s just too Power-hungry & it really turns voters like me off. She started the year believing that the Presidency was already hers for the taking. So, just like John McCain, they really have no choice but to help Obama get elected. A McCain Presidency they would certainly regret!

I am looking forward to Bill Clinton’s assessment on McCain versus the McCain he used to know. I suspect, Clinton will eviscerate McCain.

I don’t see why the neo-cons keep attacking Obama and Clinton and any Democrat they can find. They have destroyed our country and put America into the poor house. At least 6 years the neocons had UNITARY control of both houses of Congress and of the White House. During that time is when most of the conditions were set up for the current economic depression we are sinking into with the dismantling of regulation on big businesses and banks.
The Iraq war has been a huge drain on our economy, sucking up money needed to rrepair infrastructure at home and putting us into debtor status to foreign powers who loaned us the money for Bush to fight the war on credit instead of pay as you go and letting the American people see the sacrifice the country was making for the war. Instead the pain was hidden while Bush’s and the Republicans’ policies were unravelling our economic strength with bad policies and allowing unbridled greed through lack of government regulation. So I don’t see where the neo-cons who support McCain’s same trickle down prescription for failure that Bush and all Republicans have subscribed to, but which have utterly failed…I don’t see how putting more of the same (and McCain’s arguments that he is different have no evidence or substance to back them up…they are pure election year deception designed to fool people who are simpletons into believing that McCain is an economic populist(when in fact he supports more feeding of the rich elites)and doing nothing for the middle and lower income hard-working but neglected Americans.
Where does McCain get any credibility. He just tosses out lies and words, whatever he pleases, but he has no truth or substance behind them.

Bill Clinton believes in the Presidency and he believes in Obama. There is no “duty” as such. If so, Bush would be out there — oh, wait, they don’t want him speaking. Now, if they could only muzzle the “Maverick’s” sidekick.
And I suggest we send her and Cheney out together “hunting.”

I used to admire the Clintons and respect their recommendations … but, they both know that Obama is an unqualified candidate, who uses the race card against opponents … and, because the Clintons are putting party and personal ambition before country, by supporting Obama, they have lost their credibility. Don’t let Obama turn America into a far left socialistic country. Elect McCain/Palin on November 4th. Regarding Obama’s economic plan …
remember the wise words of Abraham Lincoln
* You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
* You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong .
* You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
* You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.
* You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.
* You cannot build character and courage, by taking away men’s
initiative and independence.
* You cannot help men permanently, by doing for them what they could
and should, do for themselves.

The Clintons have contributed to the setting of a larger stage for socialistic thinking in America when they went to China to share our military secrets. Furthermore, the “Bill Clinton Factor” is simply that he defiled the dignity of the oval office with his immorality. My closing argument would be: In the words of First Lady Abigail Adams, “That which is morally wrong cannot be politically right”. Yet, today’s definition of political correctness sees wrong as right, and right as wrong. When integrity in one area is casually dismissed, it follows that integrity in other areas becomes irrelevant. Anyone who would compromise personal integrity, could very well also compromise national integrity. Clinton lowered the bar of the highest office in the land. He was dishonorable in his duty as President. And, both Bill and Hill have always had a socialistic agenda. Yes, the Clintons are party to Obama.
Posted by: editorilori | November 1, 2008, 8:51 pm 8:51 pm
P.S. The Clintons and Obama are on the same party boat, with the same party vote, leading America in the same direction towards socialism. If America joins Bill, Hill, and Obama, we will sink the ship our founding fathers sailed on. And, I don’t believe President Adams would approve.
