Founding Father George Washington’s Most Direct Descendant is a Retired Building Supply Manager From San Antonio

A researcher at has culled through founding father George Washington’s lineage.  They’ve found that some 8,000 Americans can claim relation to the nation’s first president.  But one American is the truest descendant.  Meet 82 year old Paul Washington from San Antonio, Texas.  The retired manager for a building supply company was surprised to find out about his super great relative.  Paul’s son Bill had this to say: "I was dubious as a child growing up because I always thought, ‘Why don’t we have a sword lying around or a three-pointed hat?".  Interestingly, George Washington had no children.  His family stems from his brother.
