McCain Attacks Obama — Harshest Criticism Yet

McCain gave a hard hitting speech today…perhaps his harshest criticism yet for Barack Obama: McCain:  "Rather than answer his critics, Senator Obama will try to distract you from noticing that he never answers the serious and legitimate questions he has been asked.  But let me reply in the plainest terms I know.  I don’t need lessons about telling the truth to American people.  And were I ever to need any improvement in that regard, I probably wouldn’t seek advice from a Chicago politician." And the GOP candidate said that Obama remained a mystery despite all these months of campaigning:  "Even at this late hour in the campaign there are things we don’t know about Senator Obama or the record that he brings to this campaign," McCain said. "We have all heard what he has said, but it is less clear what he has done or what he will do."

ONE
QUESTION
PUT

Or did she explicitly state that she would not be answering any question she hadn’t been prepped for, or which did not reflect favorably on McCain/Palin.
John McCain. Phony. Dishonest. Hot head.

McCain you are on the money, he is yet to say what he is going to do , he always diverts away from the question. Let me see him handle the questions that he is unprepared for tommorrow, straight and direct from the american people. Thug!!

Posted by: Kim | October 6, 2008, 5:12 pm 5:12 pm

McCain’s been looking at the gallup polls showing Obama having a 8% lead for the past 10 days straight, that’s all.
Nothing McCain could possibly do to win at this point. I guess he just try to do what Bush is doing, burn everything in sight as his ship sinks.

Sure Mr. McCain, you never lie. What about the 600 soldiers who were left back in Vietnam, whom you did not help? Not only this, you made even laws to stop investigations about them and so they died miserably. It is time for this to be spread and you need to be taken to task. Relatives of those veterans have to sue him. Shame on you.

McCain is the one with no plans no substance. He can’t answer a question and neither can Sarah. All they have is attack Obama.. Empty Suites…

Posted by: beck | October 6, 2008, 5:14 pm 5:14 pm

Yes!!!!!!
Also, McCain can attack Obama’s economy policy, which is beautifully packaged—-the promise can not be kept.
McCain can attack Obama’s increase gov. spending and tax.

Obama also received over a million dollars for a Botanical Garden that was never built and no one knows where the money is. It was in the Suntimes last week.

While McCain is busy ignoring the realities of the economy spending all his time throwing mud – the rest of America is just throwing up.

Sarah your friends in Alaska sends you a message:
People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones……
Let not forget Sarah Palin association’s with the radical Alaska Independence Party that wants to secede from this great country, the United States of America.
And here is a quote from Alaskan Independence Party founder Joe Voegler:
“The fires of Hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government, and I won’t be buried under their damn flag!”
I wonder how Palin explains her husband”s verified membership in the “ALASKIAN INDEPENDENCE PARTY?” Seems she doesn”t believe in the UNITED States of America, does she??
SARAH HATES AMERICA AND MCCAIN BACKS HER!!

1) How is it we have not heard anything from the main stream media regarding ACORN? i want to know the truth about Obama’s relationship with the group (i understand he was an attorney for them and that they contributed signicant funds to his campaign)- i also understand that there was a large piece of pork designated for ACORN in the original bailout plan, but was removed before the plan was approved. 2) I need to really know more about Obama’s past before i can, in good conscience, vote for him to lead us into the future. God help America!

Posted by: Jennifer | October 6, 2008, 5:19 pm 5:19 pm

I, too, have had questions throughout these campaigns, and I don’t have a grasp on who Barack Obama is or what he will do to positively change the country.
As I do more and more research, it concerns me that the change Mr. Obama could bring us is an even worse economic crisis while all the time blaming Bush and the Republicans.
One thing that became very clear to me during the bailout hooplah was that the Democrats consistently – and with righteous indignation – blamed the Republicans for the crisis in our economy. Certainly, the Republicans and the current administration are partially to blame; however, Democrats have controlled the Congress for two years? How can they not share some of the responsibility? If they don’t, then maybe that means they haven’t done anything? (Which still lays some of the blame at their feet.)
I really wonder if Barack Obama – especially considering that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will still lead the Democratic-controled Congress – really could get past the partisanship that is destroying our country? It doesn’t sound like any of them, including Joe Biden, want to get past it – it’s all blame the Republicans.
It’s also so prevalent on these boards and others I’ve seen. When will people be able to get past calling each other names based on party lines? Can’t you see how destructive your behavior really is?

This is the first time in American history a “naturalized” citizen and/or illegal alien has been allowed to campaign for the Office of President of the United States. The FEC and Democratic National Committee have refused to verify and furnish Obama’s eligibility. All that has been provided is a copy of a “certification of birth” which can be easily made up by anyone. Mr. Obama has NOT and does NOT plan to give any evidence to the American public—he has hired 3 lawyers to fight the suit. The power of a dictator!

McCain has lost any respect I had for him. He is an erratic old man obsessed with winning at any cost. Obamma should sue Palin for character assassination. She is no angel either. She was lucky she got to this position with the intellect she posseses. McCain Palin will destroy USA. Both of them have no plans so all they can do is throw dirt. What questions does McCain answer? What solutions does he have for the economy? Change the subject and attack Obama’s character with lies.
Why won’t he tell us his secret plan for finding Osama bin Laden and save a few American and NATO lives. No, not until we elect him President.

Tj,
I apologize. I apologize that the school system has left you incapable of making reasoned decisions.
Our financial institutions are a mess. You can blame this on efforts to make home ownership more widespread, or on dishonest bankers, but the crucial factor that made this catastrophe happen was when investment banks bundled good and sub-prime mortgages together and sold them as AAA rated securities.
This was only possible because the REAGAN REPUBLICAN philosophy that regulators should LOOK THE OTHER WAY.
Fanny Mae didn’t do this. Freddy Mac didn’t do this. THE REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION DID THIS. John McCain and his Republican party need to be held accountable.
And they need to be put out of office!

John McCain’s proposed ‘reform’ of health insurance will:
A. Tax MY health insurance.
B. Attempt to END my employer supplied health insurance
C, Allow insurance companies to be regulated in a industry friendly state of THEIR OWN CHOOSING, merely by reincorporating in that state. Do you want all disputes with the health insurance company to be directed to industry sponsored ‘arbitrators’ with no right to go to court? THAT IS WHAT JOHN MCCAIN IS PROPOSING.

Is it not over the line when McCain incites such anger…he stood by quietly as his supporters yelled out ‘terrorist’ in reference to Obama in the midst of his speech!! Or when Palins introducer invoked Obama’s middle name to invoke the same sentiment. There is a time when the media should be condeming an opponents rhetoric and inciting such horrible sentiments from its supporters. Quite frankly, its downright frightening. The attorneys for Obama and the DNC today filed a motion asking for a protective order stopping “all discovery” in the Berg verses Obama lawsuit pending the Court’s decision on defendant’s motion to dismiss the action for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Mr. Obama has NOT and does NOT plan to give any evidence to the American public. It makes me angry that this man is talking about things that won’t help us. As long as McCain and Palin attack Obama and not discuss real issues, people will turn away from them. Are you insinating that Alsaka and by Extension the USA is a Banana Republic where you can just manufacture fake Birth certificates and Passports?
Even in Panama (where John S. McCain was born) they can still provide “Good” and Non-fake Birth Certificates as was the case for John S. McCain.
Despite 8 years of Bush and the McCain Republicans leading this coiuntry into the ditch, I do no think we have reached the level of a Banana Republic yet.

John, John, John… we all love you and respect you for your service and sacrifice for our country, but please shut up! You and Plain are just setting the bar lower than anything the GOP has done to date. I don’t know about Sarah (she seems kinda odd and self-absorbed), but you’re better than this John. Just take your defeat like a man and accept that a majority of the Americans want something different than what you (and Sarah) have to offer. I’m not exactly sure what that is, ’cause you haven’t said what it is, but Obama has some answers to what people are worried about. That’s why they’re voting for him. And the more negative you get, the more people will vote for Obama. So, shush up, big guy and ride off into the sunset. This show is over except for the rolling of the credits.
I’m Jay, and I approve this message.

McCain is speaking for the American people. These are the same sentiments that we all have everyday, a new rock is upturned to expose another questionable Obama friend or “associate”. When he first came on the scene a year ago, my first thought was “Whose he?” but I thought he was an alright guy. Then Rev. Wright came along, then Bill Ayers, now we learn about his connections to ACORN and their role in the mortgage collapse, and the questionable contributors to his election. It’s just too much. I’m sick of Obama and all of his cronies and I want him to take his communist and socialist positions and move to China!

Obama – A Cult of Personality.
A cult of personality arises when a country’s leader (Obama) uses mass media to create a heroic public image through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships but can be found in some democracies.
A cult of personality is similar to general hero worship except that it is created specifically for political leaders (Obama).
Generally, personality cults are most common in regimes that seek to radically alter or transform society according to revolutionary new ideas. Often, a single leader becomes associated with this revolutionary transformation, and comes to be treated as a benevolent “guide” for the nation, without whom the transformation to a better future cannot occur.
“Comrades, the cult of the individual acquired such monstrous size chiefly because Obama himself, using all conceivable methods, supported the glorification of his own person. . . . One of the most characteristic examples of Obama’s self-glorification and of his lack of even elementary modesty is the edition of his book The Audacity of Hope, which was published in 2006.
This book is an expression of the most dissolute flattery, an example of making a man into a godhead, of transforming him into an infallible sage, “the greatest leader,” “sublime strategist of all times and nations.” Finally no other words could be found with which to lift Obama up to the heavens.
We need not give here examples of the loathsome adulation filling this book. All we need to add is that they all were approved and edited by Obama personally and some of them were added in his own handwriting to the draft text of the book.”
Obama – A Cult of Personality.

Wow, there are some really angry GOP reactionaries out there. You’d think that after 8 years of being in power they’d be more upbeat about things. Or could it be that things have gotten so bad under GOP leadership, that those same people are back to being frightened at the prospect of real change to the system they’ve dominated? I guess we’re about to find out.

Absolutely great questions and it’s about time McCain asked them. Who is this elitist prophet and what has he actually done? What about his associates, especially those who are terrorists, and those who are racists who hate this country?

Posted by: Gina | October 6, 2008, 6:20 pm 6:20 pm

Also true to the point that Obama never responds to questions. The only thing he can do is to try to silence his critics or call them names. He realizes that if he ever had to answer questions, he’s dead in the waters. So true of any elitist – his response is not needed because all you need to do is to trust him. I agree with William – never any response about what he’s done. Of course, if he had to, he would say that he’s been a member of that racist church for 20 years, worked with the corrupt group known as ACORN, received over $100K contributions from Freddie and Fannie, and also has the corrupt former extortionist leaders from both Fannie and Freddie. Of course, only if he would tout his background…

I’m sooo tired of reading this stuff. I’m an independant and have voted both ways. All of you that are afraid of Obama and his “associates” should be aware that I have 6 family members in the military and they will not support McCain simply because they know he has no idea what is going on. And they all agree that Palin is in no way ready to lead. They would rather have a guy that may not have a lot of experience but thinks before he acts, has an understanding of other cultures, which could help when dealing with the middle east. Storim Norman used the same knowledge, (he was there as a child for many years with his Dad), and it worked. Why are Repub’s so afraid of what’s different? Why would you vote against abortion, but send 4000 men to die for lies? And IF people actually did read the whole article on Washington Times, they would have read that McCain had the same thing happen to him.

Ann–I find it very suspect that a birth certificate was located in a Kenyan Hospital with the name Barack Hussein Obama, Jr, on the same day Obama was born. Ironically,Berg, the lawyer who did the research is a democrat.

Posted by: S Adams | October 6, 2008, 6:36 pm 6:36 pm

I am beginning to think that McCain is too stupid to be president.
Is this man incapable of learning?
McCain was justly criticized for his rude and angry demeanor during the first debate. Increasingly, it looks like the man is going to explode.
Voters simply don’t want to see their president or a presidential candidate blow a gasket. The chief of state is supposed to remain calm in crisis, not be angry and erratic.
I used to respect John McCain. But his campaign has sunk below contempt, and the man himself has sunk below being pitiable.

Posted by: Alex | October 6, 2008, 6:41 pm 6:41 pm

For those who actually followed the invesetigation, John McCain was found to be innocent of all claims of wrongdoing in the Keating Five scandal. In fact, among those who were suspects, some were (gasp!) democrats! The investigating attorney was Bill Clinton’s lawyer, Bob Bennett, who pronounced John McCain to be innocent and a very honest man (Mr. Bennett’s words, not mine).

Gwen, My husband is an officer in the Air Force. According to him, the military is for McCain 66% to 20% for Obama. McCain has been in the military, in war, and can relate to people serving, while all Obama has done is slam the military and their efforts in Iraq, stating falsely that our men and women are bombing villages and the Iraqi’s do not want us there. Obama also voted no to sending more support to our troops. Historically, military has always leaned Republican.

If the Democrats had fought harder for Hillary, you would have a better chance of having a democrat in the White House. Obama comes with way more baggage than Hillary.

The Obama Youth Junior Fraternity Regiment.
kids dressed in paramilitary uniforms ritualistically shouting out their praise for Obama. Yes, according to the chants, these kids are supposedly inspired to enter various professions all thanks to a certain Chicago Machine politician. This is reminiscent of North Korean kids chanting out their praises for the “Dear Leader.”
How about exploiting those little kids to “Sing for Change” video.
Brainwashing the youth to sing or recite the political slogans of their “Dear Leader”.
Kim Jong-Il must be jealous. Anybody remember any other paramilitary youth organizations formed to support a political party movement?
Echoes of 1939.
They definitely are using a tried and proven playbook. Tell a big lie enough times and it becomes the truth.

Rev. Wright is a radical liberal anti American.
William Ayers is a radical liberal anti American.
Father Flager is a radical liberal anti American.
Rashid Khalidi is a radical liberal anti American.
Khalid al-Mansour is a radical liberal anti American.
Birds of a feather, flock together! or is that chickens coming home to roost?
It’s no wonder obama and his wife don’t think that there is anything wrong with these characters, they are just like them.
The media never fully vetted all of these radical liberal anti American connections because they are cowards. They don’t have a shred of objectivity if they don’t investigate now. They sent hundreds of people to Alaska but not one to Chicago.
The media has no credibility or fairness left in them.

the media is so one sided its ridiculous, they hammer Palin but let obama walk on his past associations, his lack of experience and he is part of the housing problem by forcing small banks in chicago to give loans to individuals who were not qualified

Barnie Frank wrote housing and banking laws – his boyfriend was a top exec at
Fannie Mae.It was Barnie F. who spent years blocking GOP lawmakers from imposing tougher regulations.
Pres. Bill Clinton’s Dept. HUD tried to impose new regulations on Fannie, but was stopped by: Barnie Frank.
Pres. Clinton stated the blame lies on
the: Democrats (esp. people like Barnie Frank).
Alec Baldwin, democrat, blames financial
crisis on: Democrats and Barney Frank
(see Bill Mayers’ show – it’s on tape).
The Post: McCain pushed for regulations,
but Obama blocked it= collapse of these
institutions.
William Ayers (yes, him again) was head
of CAC; Ayers worked here with Obama.
He worked with Obama in distributing
millions to grantees in the wards of the
city. OBAMA FLOPPED BIG TIME.
Mike Klonski is an open member of the
Obama campaign. Klonski is a notorious
ally of William Ayers for many years.
Klonsky (who is on Obama’s campaign now)
was one of the most destructive hardline
maoists in the SDS in the late ’60′s.
It was called the October League, then
later became the Beijing-recognized
communist party (Marxists-Leninist).
As Ayers stated in a speech in Nov.,2006, he applauded the educational reforms of Venezuela under the leadership of Pres. Chavez.
The Challenge allowed Obama and Ayers to
work together to help disburse $l00
million dollars Plus to allies: Chicago
School System.
When Obama was in charge of these millions of dollars to help people with
their education, OBAMA ‘FLOPPED BIG
TIME.’ OBAMA COULD NOT EVEN HANDLE THE
COMMUNITY ORGANIZER JOB. HOW IS HE GOING
TO HANDLE AMERICA’S MONEY????
Also, as you see, Ayers was not:
“just a guy in the neighborhood.” – per
Obama’s account of his relationship
with Ayers. WHY LIE?
BOTTOM LINE: OBAMA ISN’T REALLY AFRAID
OF HIS ASSOCIATION WITH AYERS; HE’S
AFRAID THAT AMERICA WILL FIND OUT THE
TRUTH ABOUT HIS SUCCESS AS A COMMUNITY
ORGANIZER: OBAMA FLOPPED! HE BLEW
MILLIONS. HOW IS HE GOING TO HANDLE
AMERICA’S MONEY?????? YOUR MONEY??????

How can the voters in America consider electing Obama as president when he has Zero experience and with his radical leanings . the thought is frightening as what america does affects not only Americans but also the world at large . Palin has been critcised for being inexperienced but she has far more proven experience than Obama and she is only standing as vice president candidate
my friends and I ‘s votes are for Mccain /Palin . who are by far the better candidates in experience and in integrity .

I am amazed and saddened by the contempt and disrespect that Sarah Palin and john McCain have shown for Americans that do not agree with their views.
Its frightening to think what our country could become under a McCain/Palin administration.

one candidate is telling people in his ads to go look at his policies and changes to get us off this road…all on his website
because he has them
the other candidate doesn’t and just uses the same lying distracting covering up etc
tactics that have been destroying our country for the last 8 years
get angry that they continue to slap America in the face with their tactics
throw McCain and his dumb lying sidekick to the curb.

$MILLIONS LOST BY OBAMA IN HIS COMMUNITY ORGANIZER JOB IN CHICAGO |
First of all you are spewing lies…DO you live in Chicago? I do…and by the way? How old are you? If you know anything, about that era and all the unrest across the country back in the 60′s and 70′s then you would know it was a time of unrest with the worthless VietNam war and etc. Most students were involved in something…Do you even know what the SDS stood for? probably not and as far as your lies that you are spreading…show me the facts and proof……Yes, I am a part of the Peace Love Generation…Were you even born? Oh and PS…McCain will handle your money yeah like he did the S & L. he paid off everyone with his wife’s money so he wouldn’t go to jail.
Just ask G. Gordon Liddy who has talked about it on the radio show……

I think that ALL of McCain’s medical records should be released…,not just the ones he had released. I am sure that he has early stages of DEMENTIA…escpecially with the pick he made of DUMBO PALIN!!!!!

Yes. I have two jobs – as a nurse.
I deal with a lot of nuts.
I do my bit to correct all of the
bull that is spewed from Obama’s
followers. When I see wrong, I will
call you down on it. Just like you
‘think’ you’re doing to me.
(I’ve never posted before I found this site), but it’s
pretty easy when the truth comes
to light.)
The timeline leads directly to
democrats and Obama -
EVEN PRESIDENT CLINTON STATED THE
TRUTH ABOUT DEMS AND B. FRANK.
So, FYI, I’m an old geezer like you.
I do know what happened ‘back then.’
I was a child then, but I do know
my history. It is what it is, FYI.
Take a spin on that.
OH, ‘REPUBLICANS WILL UNITE’.

Dearest Mulp,
The reference to “Koolaid” was made with the Reverend Jim Jones in mind.
I don’t think it’s too hard to figure out which color, red or blue, that you drink.
Have a Happy Bunny Hug filled day.
Your friend Noz.
